I am amazed at the power of denial that runs so deep in the U.S. I just wonder (outside of another 9/11 type attack) what the hell it's going to take to wake this country up. The head in the sand attitude is breathtaking in our great country. Organizations such as the ACLU don't give a shit about America as long as they continue to profess to be protecting our Constitutional Rights at the cost of security. I am sickened by the behavior of my mayor John O'Reilly - he and the Dearborn city council have truly become dhimmis - they probably don't even know what the word means.

A jihadi, dressed in combat fatigues, armed with a Russian army assault weapon is found in a neighborhood park and the Dearborn mayor and city council hold back information so as not to stir up anti Muslim feelings. What a pathetic display!

Our once fine town has turned into nothing but an Islamic theme park, filling up with mosques, Islamic "cultural centers", Islamic academies, madrassas and the like. Pathetic. What people need to do is continue to talk about and understand that efforts to thwart border protection, political apathy toward terror elements within the U.S. Iraq, and islam as a whole, are ALL connected. This is a very REAL world-wide war and the enemy is actively pursuing it. We need to put aside our concerns about offending people and start eliminating the enemy on a much larger scale. Great Great piece, Debbie! In the early 80S I knew a couple of guys that moved from Dearbornistan in the late 70S. I couldn't believe what they were describing. It was Syrians acting totally un-American like in their take over of the community. One would think that American ways would have taken hold by now, but not so. From what I've seen and heard the last decade it truly has become the founding base for 'jihad' against Americans. Neither the MSM or even Fox picks up on the awful treasonous activity there. I am very unhappy about the way the Mayor is interjecting himself in this matter. It stinks, and reeks of untoward interests. No doubt in my mind that my Irish butt would have been considered very dangerous if I were running around Hemlock Park in cammies & face paint with a loaded AK-47 clone.

Since that park is 4 short blocks from my house I have more than a passing interest. Go figure. I am stunned at the descriptions of the events in the media....too many "ifs" and that beggars the immagination. Possibly just a "disturbed" guy (that pretty much describes all Islamic fundamentalists IMO)....well maybe so, but so was the guy who shot and killed FPS Officer Sheffield down, where I worked, in the McNamara Building Lobby 10 days after 9/11...just a "anglo" nut (not an Arab) with a gun in paper bag (one he announced he was carrying) who carried out precisely his implied threat. A paper bag is a "Detroit thing"...a method of carry used simply because it conceals but can be shot through easily. That SOB lived even though shot three times, *spit*, but Sheffield died.

I think the main reason these MSM talking heads and writers don't often give DS the mike is that reality is just too offensive to most of these people--they don't want to end the fantasy world they are living in. They need more 911 type events first.

Houssein Zorkot had his initial post arraignment pre-trail Examination this morning. No tricky schedule deceptions, went off when and where docketed, before Judge Hultgren, 19th District Court. Through counsel he waived his right to completing the Examination within the 14 days required by law, so that his attorney might investigate furhter, yada yada. Next date is 09 November 2007 at 0900....and I will be there again.

Next, his attorney requested reduction of bail from $1 Million Cash, to $50,000 with 10% surety. Prosectuor said the potential for flight risk is high, plus the nature of the charges imply a continuing threat as expressed on Zorkot's website. Judge did not reduce the bail, however, Judge did say he'd review the bail and criteria between now and the November Exam.

That was it, then he was lead away back to jail. He kept the same sour look on his face, that you could see in his mug shot, throughout the procedings. To my surprise, there was no possee of supporters present that I could tell, only one photographer and one MSM reporter, plus a couple Arabic news reporters....who hung around the defense attorney like flies on spoiled fruit in the hallway after the hearing.
