John Elway Turns in His Man Card
Sorry, guys. This photo is real--not photoshopped. Yup, star quarterback (retired) John Elway is carrying a purse. No word on whether it's Chanel or Prada. Also, no word on whether he's now shaving his legs or renting "Beaches." But, apparently, he is, indeed, into this season's fashionable citrus colors in purses.

I think it's just adorable. Maybe he uses it to carry his football around with him. Linus had a blanket. Elway, a handbag for his football.

Now see I usually agree with you Deb, but Im gonna take this with a grain of salt. Tom Brady, yes.....but....Elway?

No man carries a purse. A man either carries a briefcase for paperwork or wears a backpack for heavy loads or for the light stuff, a messenger bag. But no real man would be caught dead carrying a purse. Its ridiculous.

Maybe its his gf's purse? I think it shows that he's probably really thoughtful and taking care of his gf. But that's a REally big purse LOL! If it was a Dooney Burke then we would know he really had taste!

I sure hope you're not there with your digital camera when my wife asks me: "Honey, would you please hold my purse while I step away to...."
And there I am... standing in a crowd of people holding my wife's purse and feeling really self-conscious.

The bag is large because it contains the entire body of George Michael's recorded work

Deb,
I have to agree w/no santa. I often have been left holding my wife's purse, this picture should have no reflection on Elway....
Now if you catch him in fishnet stockings and a dress....

Personally, I prefer to use saddle bags, but that's just me (professional material on the near side, personal material, such as pop and books, on the off...keeps me organized)

Count me in w/ No Santa & Chavez. There are two kinds of married guys; those who admit they've held their wife's purse, and bald-faced liars.

I think we're getting way too jumpy with the purse issue.
As I said...take it with a grain of salt.

Isn't this getting a little PURSEonal?
You won't see the new Denver Bronco QB Jay Cutler doing that. (OK, I'm a Vandy season ticket holder and we're real proud of Cutler...he's going to be a great NFL QB.)

Hey Jeff, Clemson nation will be up to see you in 2012. I'd love to see Vandy win the SEC. We love Bobby down here in Tigertown.
As for JW: Despite the accessory, rumor has it that Elway wears the pants in that family and he's putting them on... just as soon as his wife takes them off.

Southernops, I like Bobby Johnson, too. He's done a great job....for Vandy. He had 3 guys drafted in the NFL this year, not to mention Cutler 2 years ago.
I'd like to see them win the SEC, but that's as likely as gas going back to $1 a gallon. SEC football is a religion here, and the SEC is brutal in football. I still love going as SEC football is a blast, even at Vandy.
(In fact, if Vandy goes back to Michigan, I think Debbie should buy me a seat beside her!)

Actually, I have a Range Bag that looks like his "Purse"....'cept it's black leather.
Carry my guns & ammo in it when I go shooting...in addition to the one under my un-tucked shirt.
Never had anyone call my Range Bag a purse, even though it looks like one....
Appearances are indeed deceiving.....
