The Homo-Erotic Presidency: Barack Hussein OPin-up & The Presidents Who Work Out
Much is being made of the photo of President-elect Barack Hussein Obama shirtless and buff in Hawaii (where he's still failed to memorialize "typical White person" granny).
But in fact, it's a carefully orchestrated exercise in the homo-erotic, dreamed up by the Uber-conceit of Obama himself (look at me, I'm bugg) and his largely male team of advisor-ooglers. Just wondering if this is his sad attempt to mollify the gay men who are angry over his invitation to Pastor Rick Warren to make the invocation at the Inauguration. Don't count that out. A lot of gay men can be bought off by a man who looks nice (in their eyes) with his shirt off.

I, myself, am not impressed at this wannabe Supermodel soon to become our Commander-in-Chief. You know what I think of Presidents who work out. While I'm all for exercising and staying in shapes, the Presidents who do spend way too much time on that and the rest of their time screwing up. Just look at the list of Presidents who work out, which reads like a Who's Who of the Worst Presidents of Contemporary Times: Jimmy Carter--Jogging and Managing White House Tennis Court Schedules, George H.W. Bush--Jogging, Bill Clinton--Jogging (and Monica Water Polo), George W. Bush--Jogging and Bicycling, and now, Barack Hussein Obama--General Working Out and Supermodel Shirtless Posing.
I mean, really, Obama looks no different than the many gay supermodels on the mauve pages of Men's Vogue and GQ. Here're the models of "distinguished" bad Presidents in whose path he follows (couldn't find a pic of Bush the Daddy jogging, but they're out there and he is on the list):

Segues don't count as exercise, but the picture says it all . . .

And then there was this horribly incompetent Secretary of State who constantly bragged about her workout routine and supermodeled it a la Obama:

On the other hand, not working out at all also makes really, really bad politicians:

Oh, and just to be fair, there's this little chickie President-wannabe who also jogs far too much and reads far too little, to the point she couldn't name a single paper she read and was completely ignorant of the most basic facts:

They may be terrible at doing their jobs, but I don't see what's wrong with working out and letting people know your doing it. Sorry, I think you had a bit too many sips of egg nog on this one.
I gotta admit, Obama looks in great shape. Too bad he won't make this country into great shape with the socialist "change" crap that he's about to introduce to us.

Rice may not have been much of a Secretary of State, but she has a way better body than most female pols...same with Sarah Palin.
As for that Ted Kennedy picture: MY EYES!!! MY EYES!!! AUUUUUUUUUUUUGH!!! IT BURNS!!!!

Right! Rice and Palen do really look good. A really attractive picture of Rice. A case can be made that Clinton and Bush II did not work out seriously. If Clinton had really been serious about diet & exercise, he wouldn't have looked like an overweight jellyfish. Bush II didn't understand very much about jogging; he overdid it, got injured due to his own negligence, and had to change a routine that with forethought, he could have followed the rest of his life.
That being said, there's a lot of evidence that, everything else being equal, intelligent workouts improve mental acuity. The problem with the politicians mentioned in this post is that everything else is not equal. Bad as they were, they would have been worse in all respects if they had not worked out. \
Do you have any more good pictures of Rice? Who's the guy who is playing footsie with her?

Gotta admit, Rice looks nice and Palin looks really cute in that pic.
OK, Debbie, since you endangered your male readers with those hideous pics of Obama and especially Kennedy, you owe us one.
Let's see the Debbie Schlussel workout pic!! I know you've talked how you work out, it's the holidays, so give your red blooded male admirers a pic of you on the treadmill.

The memorial is being held today. The fact that it was planned to be a part of the trip was widely reported.

Thank you, that was a CLASSIC Debbie post. Right on, after all the insane shopping today, something to give me a laugh. Only Debbie can take a liberal orgy on the internet about this picture and turn it in to what it is, a man who is in love with himself and cant contain his ego in public. Only other person who has analyzed Obama as well as Debbie in the media is Marc Rudov, the No Nonsense Man and Michael Savage. KING HUSSEIN COBRAMA has more than half the nation fawning over him and the whole media has worn out five pair of knee pads on this snake charmer. And we cant forget the media drooling over Obama in jeans episode.

As for Palin she of the empty skirt or empty dress. She is a beauty but she is not in the big leagues. Because someone is attractive doesn't mean you give up your integrity because of it. I would rather have seen Duncan Hunter as a VP pick. The girl who served me my Starbucks coffee was cute but I don't want her running the country.

How come there is no hair on Obama's body? Had it waxed? Michelle shaved him? What gives?

Come on Deb! She actually said she reads everything! Should she have given a free endorsement to a paper or magazine? Her answer was she reads “everything.” Why can't you get over it? She may not be as smart as you but she's a lot prettier. . . which is your obvious problem . . . G

C'mon, Debbie. when it comes to being in shape you know darn well that Sarah Palin could probably run down a Polar Bear, skin it, and be half a mile away before it keeled over and hit the ground. It's no wonder the lefties fear and loathe her so much. LOL

I must say, as a hetero lady, that BHO - at least in that picture - is a real turn off to me. YUK! Wassup with his chest? - a very unattractive area on him! And we should just admit that what he really looks like is an average skinny WHITE guy!

Hi Deb,
Had a trip to the cardiologist yesterday. While waiting in the examining room for him to come in, I read some pamphlets. They confirm what I have always been told by the docs. Excercise is important and everybody should try do do a minimum of thirty minutes of aerobic exercise a day at least three times a week.
Enjoy the rest of the chag and have a healthy 2009.

I just love the Palinacs. If you're a man and don't like her you are a sexist and if you're a woman and don't like her you're JUST JEALOUS OF HER. I never saw such stupid criticism in my life. This would be like saying any man that criticizes another man is Jealous of them.
If she is so conservative how come all her fan's seem to engage in liberal type name calling to anyone who doesn't think much of her which I don't. Her followers among many other items suggest she isn't conservative at all and certainlly doesn't believe in free speech.

Good grief. Do not EVER mention Carter and any Republican president in the same breathe. In fact, don't mention Clinton and any Republican president either. I liked that Bush and the elder worked out a lot. They also engage in a form of sport the press corps termed "aerobic golf." And unlike Clinton, they do not cheat. No multiple Mulligans for those boys.
Now, as for BO, I do not understand the big deal. He looks like a gawky teenager. My husband, who does not work out, could break BO over his knee. It's that simple. BO is lacking masculinity. In fact, this picture proves his stance as a cosmopolitan metrosexual.
Palin is just great. She's smart and attractive. Same deal with Condi. I love them both and have only best wishes for them.
I honestly could not identify the fat man. It was quite enjoyable to read it was one of the most disreputable of the "K" clan. Good grief, man. Cover up.

Furthermore, the Bush men are masculine and handsome. Not perfect presidents but good enough. The retain their looks because they work out.

Deb, I think you were the first to come out and call this behavior as "HOMO-EROTIC". I was emailed this earlier and in yesterday's Washington Post, Eli Saslow must have gotten that Chris Matthew thrill between his legs as he described Obama:
"The sun glinted off chiseled pectorals sculpted during four weightlifting sessions each week, and a body toned by regular treadmill runs and basketball games."
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/12/24/AR2008122402590.html
To Eli: If you haven't outed yourself, you just did!
