More “Religion of Peace” “Peacefulness” on US Soil: Can’t Wear a Cross @ the Mall?!

by Debbie Schlussel

So when do the excuses about post-traumatic stress disorder and claims he was called a “camel jockey” and was under stress start for this guy?  There are already excuses coming out of a police detective, absurdly comparing him to Christians. Yes, now Christians must live in fear wearing a cross at a mall in America. This is how far we’ve fallen.

Police arrested 22-year-old Abdul Walid Hamid of Hayward on the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 4, after he reportedly tore a crucifix from a person’s neck and scared others at Stoneridge Shopping Center.

Hamid, an employee at a mall kiosk near Starbucks, has been charged with battery, terrorist threats and grand theft.

According to reports, Hamid was yelling “Allah is power” and “Islam is great” while holding a pen in a fist over his head. Witnesses said he shouted anti-Christian comments, said police.

Lt. Mike Elerick of the Pleasanton Police Department said the man was not provoked and didn’t threaten violence, but he committed robbery when he grabbed and broke a crucifix off someone’s neck.

Wait a second. A guy tears off someone’s crucifix, but he “didn’t threaten violence.” Hellooooo . . . . .? That IS violence.

“We had multiple people calling 911,” Elerick said. “One female was crouching down and hiding from him. He definitely scared quite a few people.”

Yeah, because some Americans actually do get it about Islam. And they don’t want to be in the middle of another Fort Hood.

But watch how the police lieutenant manages to use this as a moral equivalency attack on Christians:

Elerick said much of the man’s speech was similar to the loud scene of the Christian activists who frequent downtown Pleasanton. The big difference, however, was that Hamid was on private property and had physical contact with someone.

Uh, yeah, the difference is that Christians are exercising their free speech and freedom of religion rights, and this Muslim was engaging in physical violence. There is NO comparison.

Hamid was reportedly not cooperating and was arrested by force and taken to John George Psychiatric Pavilion in San Leandro for an evaluation. Police said the case would be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review and possible charges.

Ah, the psychiatric evaluation. Quick, call in Dr. Phil, so that we can pawn it off as a mentally deranged guy and imbecillically claim that this isn’t Islam (when we know that it is).

Hamid was arraigned Tuesday morning at Alameda Superior Court in Pleasanton on charges of battery, grand theft, exhibition of a deadly weapon and a possible hate crime. Deputy District Attorney Ronda Theisen requested his bail remain at $27,000.

“Possible” hate crime? Helllllloooo . . . ?#2. The guy rips the person’s crucifix off and denounces Christianity while praising Islam, and there’s a possibility it isn’t a hate crime? PUH-LEEZE.

For the gazillionth time, America is under attack from Islam. The more we ignore these incidents, the Fort Hood incident and hundreds or thousands of others across America, the more we are burying ourselves in the sand.

Thanks to reader LH for the tip, yesterday.

It the dhimmi religion that offends them. We’re supposed to show them tolerance and respect but they don’t have to play by our rules. The problem is we allow the Hasans and Hamids of this world get away with it here. And yes – its Islam no matter how hard the government and the media tries to pretend it isn’t the contributing factor in attacks throughout this country.

If I encounter a “camel jockey” at Park’s Mall holding an unknown object in his hand, acting irrationally, screaming “allah akbar”, I am going to take action to protect innocent lives. I can articulate when my life and the lives of others is in imminent danger and will take appropriate action. Better to be tried by twelve, then carried by six in Texas.

Bonzer Wolf on November 12, 2009 at 11:50 am

Indeed it IS better to be tried by 12 “fully informed jurors” than carried by six. Help educate your fellow citizens; go to: and learn about jury rights.

President mullah obambi says not to jump to conclusions, but he is an idiot so yes, this is yet another muslim inspired hate crime.

How weak are people that they couldn’t stomp his ass? he was armed with a pen and shouting. So people hid and waited to see what he would do next? He touched someone in order to rip off the cross, was no one there to touch him back. Cowards. I am beginning to think some of these attacks are warranted in a way, when people just stand there and let them happen. For instance the attack on the bus where the guy cut off the victims head. No one tried to help, they ran for their own safety and watched from a distance.

This guy was loud and had a pen yet people hid and were afraid. He won, everyone was afraid of him, he had power, briefly but he had that adrenaline rush of “I am the Man”. His next attack will be worse to get people to fear him.

Agree with Bonzer Wolf, it would be better a lawyer than a doctor,Mr. Hamid would be taken down.

Chiefscotty24 on November 12, 2009 at 12:03 pm

Try that crap in LA and he would have local Armenians/Crips/Bloods and/or Chicanos drop his sorry ass on-the-spot. I wouldn’t pull that in Texas either.

If someone tried to rip my Magen David necklace from my neck, I would probably deck him. Then the assailant would probably press charges against me for assault, battery, and hate crimes. Most thugs have that prerogative in this deluded jurisprudence system. The warped minds of the Justice System would rather see crime prevail than defend us from these criminals who don’t belong in this country. I wouldn’t let anyone get away with doing this sort of thing to me but again I would risk being prosecuted for protecting myself. You leftists could take your political correctness and shove it up your ass because I am not about to have some turd worlder overrun me. I have nothing but utter contempt towards these Islamic butt kissers and apologists. Don’t expect CAIR to return a favor and come to your aide you when you need them. I hope you go to hell with them.

COLT trumps CAIR

Stymie on November 12, 2009 at 12:38 pm

Wow, what a douche.

The fact is he’s a schmuck and I’ve encountered obnoxious Muslim shopkeepers that sour when I tell them I’m Christian. I had one furniture store owner attempt to read me the riot act. He’s really dirty in the sense that he has the gaul to do it.

dirtyleb on November 12, 2009 at 12:39 pm

Two words. Concealed carry.

Johan Klaus on November 12, 2009 at 12:40 pm

Cue CAIR to rush to the aid of this latest Muslim “victim” of Western Islamophobia.

It seems like a redux of the ‘if you shoot a robber in your home, he’ll then sue you for all your worth’ where the courts are aiding and abetting the crooks and other ‘bad actors’. You know, like here…

“But officer, I felt something sharp on my neck and saw blood. I thought he had slashed me with a knife. And then he was going after other people. I thought they were in danger, too. What was I to do?”

I have my weapon, and am going to the range with it to improve my aim (not bad to begin with), and as soon as I can get my conceal carry permit, I’ll be carrying.

yonason on November 12, 2009 at 12:50 pm

my thoughts exactly, but I DO have my carry permit, If this bastard would have done this to me or in front of me he would have been staring down the bussiness end of a Springfield XD40

robfromohio on November 12, 2009 at 5:52 pm

Is it just me or does there seem to be an increase in these incidents on US soil? Are they copy-cats who are getting courage from the actions of these others? If that is the case then we indeed need to be more aware and be ready to react.

Musiccgirl on November 12, 2009 at 1:11 pm

There is a growing realization among the Islamists that the United States will go out of its way to avoid prosecuting Moslems who commit crimes, if they can be related even remotely to a religious motivation. We had the hideous spectacle at Ft. Hood of General Casey pimping “Diversity” while funishing information on the Islamist Major’s deeds. Yes, Islamists’ self-esteem trumps slaughtered military personnel anytime.

    sorrow01 on November 13, 2009 at 12:24 am

Why is it that this kind of episode ALWAYS involes Muslims? Always. They are now completely emboldened. Everyone with any sense knew that all the PC activism over the last decade would come to this, and worse. And it can only get worse. If government continues to promote lawlessness, then people will have to exert force to defend themselves as necessary. Unfortunately that person defending himself will be put in the Catch-22 position of “being judged by twelve or carried by six.”

JLin on November 12, 2009 at 1:21 pm

The situation is NOT “Catch 22” if afew of the jurors are knowledgeable regarding jury rights. Informed jurors essentially voided fugitive slave laws through nullification. Inform yourself and others:

Old Gringo on November 13, 2009 at 11:18 pm

The problem with defending yourself against violent Muslims is that your life will be put under a microscope and as soon as a blog post like this shows up on your computer…. you are cooked. Catch-22 again.

JLin on November 12, 2009 at 1:39 pm

“Islamophobia” is a myth. There’s no widespread persecution, harassment or pogroms of Muslims in the wake of Fort Hood. If there were, you can be sure the media would be giving it big play. All of the aggression comes entirely from the other side. But that is never acknowledged.

NormanF on November 12, 2009 at 1:50 pm

The more the muzzies act out the more they show themselves to us infidels, keep it up muzzies your doing a great job!

Drakken on November 12, 2009 at 3:53 pm

The whole business about retaliation against Muslims for an act by a Muslim is just a nasty attempt to allow Muslims to play the victim.

I was going to say that a concerned Muslim, if he were honest, would admit the problems of his religion and attempt to remedy these problems. But really, how could he? His “religion” is based around the example of a mass murderer, pedophile, racist, liar with probable psychiatric problems and a possible connection to satan. What could a concerned Muslim do except convert to some other religion?

Frankly, perhaps a bit of “retaliation” is a good thing. We should be free to point out that anyone who considers Mohammed to be a decent man (let alone a perfect one) is no different from a passionate admirer of Hitler. Would we be reluctant to caste judgment upon a fan of Hitler? Would we be expected not to say bad things about Hitler so as not to offend such a fan?

sk on November 12, 2009 at 9:09 pm

This could happen to me very easily. I have a large Christian tattoo on my arm and have worn a cross. I will now be wearing it everyday until I find a more comfortable one to wear. Rounded corners are important. Pleeeeeeeese let this happen to me or around meeeeee.

These guys are out of line and need good citizens to stand up for themselves.

Sentence him to about 5 years in prison in isolation then send the raghead back to the burning sand from whence he came.
