Homeland Security? FAA Gave Islamic Terrorists Pilot’s Licenses; 15,000 “Unknowns” Got Pilot’s Licenses

By Debbie Schlussel

While you are busy getting molested by TSA screeners at airports and are forced to throw out your bottle of water, the FAA has been busy granting pilot’s licenses and airplane mechanic’s licenses to Islamic terrorists, including a known terrorist involved in the bombing of a plane and a known Hezbollah terrorist.  Not only that, but the TSA admits that it can’t even determine the real identities of THOUSANDS! to whom the FAA granted these licenses. THOUSANDS! Morons. Hey, just like Citizenship and Immigration Services which can’t determine the real identity of hundreds of thousands of Muslim immigrants to whom it grants citizenship. 15,000 people obtained the licenses using fake social security numbers, and their real identities are unknown, as are, probably, their locations and how to find them.

Shukran [Thanks], America, for Giving Us Pilot’s Licenses, Love Hezbollah, PFLP & Al-Qaeda

As I’ve told you all along, what you go through in the airport is useless, hassle-laden BS, while Mohammed and Hamida get licenses to fly planes and blow ’em up.  Kudos–surprisingly!–to the New York Times for noting this.  Hey, even a broken clock has that proverbial two times per day:

The Transportation Security Administration cannot determine the real identities of thousands of the people to whom the Federal Aviation Administration has issued licenses as pilots and aircraft mechanics, but has located an additional 27 who should not have held them because of terrorist connections, according to an internal report by the Department of Homeland Security.

The report was requested two years ago by four senators after a private data analysis company in New York determined that the man convicted of bombing Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, in 1988 still held an F.A.A. license, as did a man caught trying to smuggle military equipment to Hezbollah in Lebanon, a man convicted of trying to make an airborne poison in his basement and a self-described eco-terrorist who fled the country after he was indicted on a charge of arson.

The F.A.A. and the Department of Homeland Security were supposed to scour the list of licensed pilots, mechanics and flight dispatchers for terrorists under a law approved by Congress after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, but they have had difficulties doing so despite having access to much more information than the private company.

The new report, by the inspector general of the Department of Homeland Security, found that the F.A.A. had Social Security numbers of only about 750,000 people out of the 1.3 million names in its Airmen Registry, and that among those for whom it had numbers, more than 15,000 of them did not match the Social Security database for name, sex or date of birth. By law, the F.A.A. cannot require a Social Security number, the report noted, and as a result, “T.S.A. may not identify U.S. citizens who have provided false biographic information to receive an airman certificate.”

Not all of the discrepancies represent a potential security threat; the report said that more extensive study over the past few years found that 8,000 of the license holders were dead.

The report offers no details about the 27 individuals whose certificates were canceled, but does indicate the poor state of federal records, almost a decade after the Sept. 11 attacks. An initial computer scan found about 29,000 certificates that matched names on the government’s Terrorist Screening Database, but further study found that 28,500 of the matches were invalid; 506 were turned over for closer scrutiny, yielding the 27 names.

The report does not mention any technique other than matching names. The New York company, Safe Banking Systems in Mineola, found some of the suspect individuals by matching names. But it contends that names are a poor identifier; they can be misspelled or, if they originate in a non-Roman alphabet, they can be spelled inconsistently when rendered in English. The Libyan convicted in the Lockerbie bombing was listed in F.A.A. records as Abdelbaset Elmegrahi; on the F.B.I.’s 10 Most Wanted list, he was Abdel Basset Ali al-Megrahi. Safe Banking Systems, using only publicly available data, found some suspect individuals by matching addresses or other data.

The company’s main line of business is to work for banks, matching their lists of depositors with Commerce Department lists of individuals whom banks are not supposed to transact business with because they are connected to terrorists, drug dealers or corrupt foreign officials. While doing those matches, it found some suspect pilots. But the new Homeland Security report does not indicate that the government made use of any of its lists of those suspected of being drug dealers or gun runners and of other individuals except for the Terrorist Screening Database.

Ten years after 9/11, we are less safe than ever. America woke up briefly, but it’s been in a deep sleep ever after.

That’s horrifying.

Of what use has the Department of Homeland Security been? Things seem to be as chaotic and disorganized as they were before its creation. Janet Napolitano of course deserves her share of the blame, but her predecessors under President Bush should in no way be absolved from their failures.

Does this information make you wonder why Congress dragged-out the Debt Debate so they could leave town so quickly on the very last day? And why the FAA has not been re-funded this time after 22 consecutive re-fundings? And all the FAA employee furloughs – maybe so no one could talk about this situation?

Hitler bombed/burned the Reichstag and then had the cahones to blame others so he could take over the government…does history repeat?

And thanks to political correctness and the threat of lawsuits from CAIR, the ACLU et al, we will continue to be at risk. After all, who cares if we have another 9/11 or worse; it’s more important that we don’t hurt their widdle feewings…

The inmates are running the asylum, and friends it IS an asylum at this point. The culture is full of mold and toxins. Edumication is in need of medication. Trial lawyers trump inventors on the value chain. Disciples of of Joy Behar are trying to take over the military. References to jihad are verboten. References to identifiable badguys are just as verboten. It will take more than a cursory “regime” change to clear this up. The problem is in America’s veins and may take a generation or more to fix. We thought that 9/11 was a wake up call. America awoke, but much of it went back to sleep (or more appropriately took a sedative) shortly thereafter.

“Ten years after 9/11, we are less safe than ever. America woke up briefly, but it’s been in a deep sleep ever after.”

Yep, that sentence boils it down nicely. I would have NEVER thought that sentence would be true after 9/11 (the event changed me VERY much) but I have seen it with my own eyes and it knocks me on my tuchis EVERYTIME.

Who would have thought we’d have an inept, charlatan Prez with the middle name HUSSEIN after 9/11? (Or even after the first Gulf War?)

DS will quite rightly be writing about “I told you so…” for a very, very long time. She sees it clearly and knows her stuff on this issue all the while USA keeps doing bizarro world sh**.

(And all those effing freaks (and I’m talking about the so-called CONSERVATIVES) who thought the Egyptian coup would be a fabulous thing…where are those frauds? I’m talking about Stephen Hayes, William Crystal, Dana Perino and all the other no-nothing dopes (because to think as they did, they would have to have known SQUAT about the issue) who thought it was gonna be fabulous? Last week a British paper had pictures of the capital of Egypt looking like a friggen’ dumpster and the worst part is all the torture going on. It reminds me of a post DS put up about what the so-called “demonstrators” and the torturous stuff they were doing to fellow Mooooslims. The video was so bad DS had nightmares and could not even finish watching it! And I mention this because not of Mubarak in the caged hospital bed but because she KNOWS the issues and this atrocity in Egypt was allowed to happen and the trickle-down effect (still trickling) is gonna get far, far worse before it will get better…and there is no promise of better in this game. DON’T TRUST DUMB, ESTABLISHMENT CONSERVATIVES!)

Is there any way to find out how many Muslims are employed as airline pilots?

On a flight I took earlier this year from Cleveland to Baltimore, there was older white pilot with a young Muslim copilot/trainee.

Gotta wonder how many airlines the Muslims are infiltrating.

This is not my book, and I have no financial interest in it. Might I STRONGLY suggest readers of this Blog acquaint themselves with Col. Tom Kratman’s Masterpiece, published by Baen books, Caliphate.

Caliphate outlines in detail what will happen to us if we DON’T listen to Debbie.

Hey let’s privatize the federal government and put bounties on people that defraud the government.

Why does this not suprise me ! Who in the hell have we got working in Washington?

Mike Spencer on August 4, 2011 at 1:42 am

This doesn’t surprise me as I pretty much knew it was still going on long after the creation of the dysfunctional organization notoriously known as i.c.e. It was readily apparent at its inception that this kind of BS was not a priority and has remained so throughout its dismal existence.

They never disappoint. As with most every other situation like this, all some egg head with a degree has to do is skim the list of possible perps and put a little check mark next to CERTAIN TYPES of names. Columbo could’ve figured this one out and then another case in the one hour he usually took care of business. Too bad our country has well educated pc types in charge.
