Obama’s Nightmare “DREAM Act” Amnesty for “Kids”: Will Mitt Romney Repeal It? Don’t Hold Your Breath

By Debbie Schlussel

As you know by now, Barack Obama and Homeland Security Chief Janet Napolitano a/k/a “The Lesbionic Woman” made it official: because elected officials won’t pass the “DREAM Act,” they will make law by fiat and refuse to deport all illegal aliens who came here before age 16 and are now under age 30. There are a few other conditions (see below). But, illegal aliens and their anchor babies are applauding, not only in Latino illegal alien communities but all over Muslim Dearbornistan and other Muslim enclaves in America that are chock full of Muslim illegal aliens who came here before age 16. At least two terrorist plots I’ve written about in the last year and a half were stopped by FBI agents before the Muslim illegal aliens who planned them–and had been living here illegally for years since their teens–perpetrated them. But Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have been telling me for months that they were unable to move on deportations of these so-called “DREAM Act” cases. This just makes a horrible policy official and out in the open. The thing is, it was already policy under both Bush and Obama NOT to deport illegal aliens who do not have a criminal record. These illegal alien “kids” are already getting college scholarships, etc., and living freely here without fear of any consequences. So, this is really, again, just a formality. The only difference is that these aliens will now have legal status to work. Will they be required to register for the draft? Don’t count on it. Only American citizens will have to do that. And if you think a President Romney would repeal this latest Obama immigration amnesty offensive, dream on.

Illegal Aliens Have the Last Laugh, as do Incompetents Obama, Napolitano and ICE Chief John Morton. The Joke’s on the Rest of Us

As I told you here, Florida U.S. Senator Marco Rubio announced that he would introduce legislation giving the exact same legal status to these illegal aliens . . . at the behest of Mitt Romney, in his quest to get the Hispanic vote. Think he’ll repeal this new Obama policy? Think again. He will not. This is going to be the official immigration policy of the U.S. no matter who is elected, and that’s the disgusting part. We expect this from Obama. We deserved a Republican nominee who is different, and we don’t have one. We just have our full-White Obama as opposed to their half-White Obama. This morning, Homeland Security and ICE announced that in order to qualify for the legal status (and the ability to take jobs from legal U.S. citizens who either were born here or went through proper procedures), the illegal alien must fit these conditions:

• came to the United States under the age of sixteen;
• is not above the age of thirty;
• has continuously resided in the United States for at least five years preceding the date of this memorandum and is present in the United States on the date of this memorandum;
• is currently in school, has graduated from high school, has obtained a general education development certificate, or is an honorably discharged veteran of the Coast Guard or Armed Forces of the United States;
• has not been convicted of a felony offense, a significant misdemeanor offense, or multiple misdemeanor offenses; and
• does otherwise pose a threat to national security or public safety.

That last one must have been a typo by Homeland Security and is probably supposed to be “does NOT toehrwise pose a threat . . . .”

You really think that ICE is gonna check each person to make sure they meet these conditions? Good luck with that. This just paves the way for amnesty for everyone. No matter who is the President. And, with little immigration enforcement, we basically have that now, anyway.

One other thing: in his speech on this, today, Obama said that these illegal aliens are Americans in their hearts and minds and in every way except on paper. Um, how does he know? Has he ever gone to Dearbornistan or East L.A. and everywhere else to ask each of them? I guarantee you that many of them–far too many–are American in geographic location and residence only.

America . . . desperate but NOT serious. Yup, we’re screwed.

What’s this BS about being honorably discharged veteran of the Coast Guard or Armed Forces of the United States?!…

Doesn’t one have the right to a “Green Card” (and eventually US citizenship) if one serves in these anyway?!…

By the way, how many of those Dearbornistan “Amnesty Kids” will even consider serving in these US forces?!…

    Major Nidal Malik Hasan, Pfc. Naser Jason Abdo are just two who come to mind. There are others Hans. You should actually think before venting, if you actually wish to persuade anyone.

    You must be a legal resident alien to serve–illegals cannot. If they have –or are–they are guilt of fraudulent enlistment. You must be a US citizen to be an officer.

It continues to chap my hide that people like Sean Hannity can treat a Perry or a Romney as Conservatives just because they have an R in front of their name when they put forth policies that take is in the same direction as O. For too many IMO the Conservative movement is about beating the Democrats rather than getting to limited government, a personal rather than philosophical vendetta. Obama is so awful Romney may very well prevail but in the long run we may worse off.

Stephen Schochet on June 15, 2012 at 5:22 pm

This is clearly impeachable by Obama, but unfortunately, the Republicans are too timid to pass “Impeachment hearings” against Obama, because they, the GOP is for amnesty for illegal-aliens, not just the Democrats.

Hans, I couldn’t quite get over you’re sentiment in your last sentence dude, “how may of those Dearbornistan “Amnesty Kids” will even consider serving in these US forces?!…”, my answer to you’re question Hans is they won’t serve in the US Armed Forces, because as we all know, a good number of muslims in this country aren’t pro-American, many of them hold their alliegances to their damn religion/cult instead of this country, and we know where these freaks stand on Israel and their existance, etc.

    Alert on June 16, 2012 at 1:35 pm

Obama is basically saving RINO Romney from any scrutiny on his positions; What Mitt says or does IMO is almost immaterial; this is turning into a complete referendum on O. I would never vote for Obama but if Romney wins IMO it will lead to less Conservatives being elected to Congress, the ones who are elected more likely to be co-opted and guarantees we will not have a limited government GOP nominee in 2016. IMO California would have been better off if we would have had Davis for three years rather than Arnold for seven.

    The Romney campaign is doomed. The Republican Party is going to completely transform, forever, in 2013 after Romney’s defeat sinks in.

    What it transforms INTO will depend on which faction of the GOP ends up getting the blame for this defeat.

We desperately need patriotic immigration reform. We’re not going to get it under a Republican any more than a Democratic administration. Check out reasonable but tough-minded websites such as vdare.com, thesocialcontract.com and csi.org for how to achieve patriotic reform, not the b.s. “comprehensive reform” that inevitably serves as code for amnesty.

Keep the judicial option open, too. If we can sue the Obama administration on constitutional grounds over the new health care law, we certainly can and should do likewise over this outrage. We’ve been trained like seals to avoid any hint of “racism” in all discussions of national identity. Let’s throw off our self-contained chains.

It is a misguided policy that has been pushed by the Democratic Party and Rotarian Republicans for years. Only the short term gains of compliant voters and cheap labor fall into the calculations of each group. Balkanization and separatist movements are beginning to arise, but few pay attention to them.

Worry on June 15, 2012 at 7:37 pm

Its not Mexicans we need to be worried about. Its immigrants from the Muslim World, for whom loyalty to America exists only on paper.

If we have to let one group of illegal immigrants in, we have to let them ALL in! Yup, America is screwed.

NormanF on June 15, 2012 at 7:46 pm

    What is really amazing Norman is the silence from Black leaders over this. With Black youth unemployment running at around 50%, how can the Black community remain so calm about an amnesty that is bound to push that number much higher still? Barack Obama may think if Trayvon as his son, but deems him less worthy of employment than an illegal alien. Fast food places and restaurants used to be great starting points for young Blacks seeking their first jobs while in high school. Also, companies like McDonald’s actually sought out the most talented crewpeople for management tracks. A Black teen could find himself an assistant store manager or even manager in five years. If one of these recruits stuck it out, general management and franchise opportunities were available as well. That situation has changed. Now, a typical McDonald’s restaurant, if there is any significant Hispanic population at all, has an almost entirely Hispanic staff with a bilingual manager. Unless you are from Juarez or Guadalajara, you need not even apply. This process has replicated itself in the hospitality industry and retail stores(at least in non-customer service positions). Do the people who wail over Trayvon shed a tear over this? Does Barack Obama actually like Blacks, aside from getting their votes? It is no coincidence that the target population for this amnesty is nearly identical to that sought by the business sectors I have mentioned. It is the cheap votes/cheap labor coalition at work. This insidious coalition hurts the poor by lowering the cost of labor by flooding the market with unskilled and semi-skilled labor. Poor Whites, Blacks, and other minorities who are not Hispanic are left out in the cold by such policies. The ironic thing is that many Republican politicians fail to realize that they are destroying their long-term future by supporting such policies. Also, many businesses will rue the day when their cheap labor schemes blow up in their faces. When the Hispanics have gained ascendancy in many parts of the country, those places will simultaneously become dead zones for Republicans. When that happens, the Democratic Party will in those areas will start turning the screws on the cheap labor crowd. The Rotarians will either have to knuckle under or close up if they are unable to satisfy the new labor demands placed upon them. Rubio, McCain, and others of that ilk are hastening this day. The United States will be a balkanized and ugly place with a huge underclass that is controlled by a small elite living in secure gated communities. It will be a third world country in which the different races, ethnicities, and sects will be pitted against one as a social safety valve. The progressive vision is quite a reactionary one in practice.

    Worry01 on June 16, 2012 at 7:01 am

      To add to your comment, another way illegal immigration is particularly hurtful to those with limited income is its effect on the cost of living. According to Saturday’s New York Post, it is estimated that approximately half a million illegals reside in New York City. The vacancy rate for apartments in New York is around one per cent, which has resulted in astronomical rents, particularly in Manhattan, where tiny, shabby one-room units go for well over $1,000 per month. The purchase price for condos and co-ops starts around $400,000, and these are small one bedroom units. If even a quarter of these illegals residing in New York City were deported, the vacancy rate for apartments would rise sharply, and the cost of housing would be significantly reduced. Along with the drop in housing costs, the cost of maintaining public schools and hospitals would be lowered significantly, as would costs for other aspects of social and municipal services.

    Mexico currently has one of the highest rates of conversion to Islam in the Western Hemisphere. The various terrorist organizations are also working with the “drug cartels” to move equipment and money.

    Italkit on June 16, 2012 at 3:44 pm

Romney will probably make things worse — but while immigrants from the Muslim world are the biggest danger, all illegal immigration is bad — first because it is illegal and lessens respect for our laws, which are pretty permissive to begin with.

But most Spanish immigrants don’t get assimilated to our culture, and erode Western values, to the extent they exist any more. They are also a financial drain, which is the last thing we need now. They are partly responsible for the financial crises in states like California, Illinois and New Jersey.

Unfortunately the Conservative movement (sic) is becoming very weak on this issue. National Review is continuing its decline here — I guess it is follow the money. And Commentary and the Weakly Standard have always pandered to illegals.

This is a two-year plan. What happens if Obama is not re-elected? Since CIS is notorious for rubber stamping APPROVED, how can we possibly do this properly? How can we verify these claims or even identity? How do we know it will involve only 800,000 people like they say? They blather on about ‘national security’ or ‘threat to public safety’. What if the dirtbag has previous encounters with INS/ICE/CBP? What if they have an extensive criminal history with umpteen DUI’s?……this is political posturing at our expense. It may be good for his re-election campaign by pandering to these folks, but it is not good for us or the people waiting to emigrate here legally. Not all legal residents want to become US Citizens,so why must we call is a path to citizenship? Unemployment is already at record levels. Why do we need MORE people? sickening!

Freudian slip? You tell me…….

After tramping on the Catholic Church’s toes and noticing the response from the protesters, WH incumbent thinks he’s pulling doves out of the back pocket with this latest immigration amnesty. A political ruse to bolster flagging polls. 800,000 is a huge number. Was the extended family considered, plus all the second cousins etc. and now the conveniently arranged marriages.
The country is in a royal mess and instead of sorting out problems he’s adding to them. States with overloading of illegals will then be requesting financial assistance and the web continues. Guess this is his idea of creating jobs….

If the illegal aliens related to the WH were allowed in, even with Drunk Driving charges and aunty helping herself to FREE welfare perks, educated illegal Hispanics will have more clout on the Human Rights register.

Enjoy your site and I’m a first time commenter. Since your an attorney could you please answer this question. How can Obama do this? I mean there is a proper way laws are created. I mean, as much as he thinks he is a king, he isn’t. I am in law enforcement and took an oath to defend the constitution of the United States and Virginia……this is not a law it’s fiat. So how do the republicans stop this?

Shawn on June 16, 2012 at 7:53 am

    In answer to your question how can Obama do what he does the answer is simply that we are no longer a nation bound by law.Both parties are equally guilty in shredding our Constitution and making it almost meaningless. If the supreme law of the land is no longer obeyed then why bother following all other laws? Romney apparently wants Rubio as his running mate,(Latino votes you know), despite the fact that Rubio is not a natural born citizen. But for that matter neither is Obama. But why bother with that old, outdated Constitution?

I was taking care of some business back in 2006 at the U.S. Capitol. A LARGE group (35-40) of approximately 6-8 year old children were following several adults down Statuary Hall- all wearing the same t-shirt. “I am Irish, and I am illegal.”

What are we to do about immigration? 20 million people cannot be deported.

Infidel on June 16, 2012 at 10:44 am

bobquzzardi….Agree, it CAN be done. GOOGLE Eisenhower administration for “Operation Wetback”. Mass deportations can be done because they HAVE been done. Had we enforced the employer sanctions provision of Simpson-Mazzoli Act in 1986, we wouldn’t be here today.

Tasso on June 16, 2012 at 11:10 am

To all of you.

While I don’t support illegal immigration, what is the US supposed to do? Deportation can be seen as a way to just get certain groups of people out of the country.

Also, do any of you know what the DREAM act is? I wonder? It might improve the lives of these people since it’s an education law.

A Reader on June 16, 2012 at 12:17 pm

    A Reader….are you honestly naive enough to believe that it is truly an education law or just plain void of grey matter between the ears??? Just wait until the policy wording negates any ‘education’ attached to this farce. We saw this before with IRCA – when agriculture work involved ’90 days’ of apple picking by PhDs and immigration officers couldnt go after the fraud even though it was punching them in the nose at the time. How do you equate a GED with ‘higher education’. A GED is basic education – for someone who didn’t have the moxie to finish it out when they needed to – when they were a teenager. Moreover – this slaps each and every law abiding immigrant who is waiting their turn in line to do it the right way…and sends out the message that if you cheat and game the system – you will be rewarded. This has nothing to do with an education law – this has to do with rewarding lawbreakers to get votes. Plain and simple.

    belugajedi on June 16, 2012 at 1:44 pm

      I know what this law is. I worked in education for over 11 years. I also know a GED is not the same as higher education, but if it gets the person who earns one some basic skills so they are able to work, that’s something that is good.

      I worked at a community college before what I do now. Many of the students there did not have the basics, and not all graduated, but when a few saw me later, they were thankful that the college gave them some skills which they could use to be fully employed.

      A Reader on June 16, 2012 at 2:39 pm

Deportation seems to be working in Israel with the African Illegal we have had a problem with. We are expecting a contingent from South Sudan next week to come and set up an orderly way to send them back. If a government has the will to do it, it can be done. We also are NOT letting illegals out of prison until they can leave.

Italkit on June 16, 2012 at 3:52 pm

We really don’t need to round them up & deport them. Just make sure that there is adequate verification for employment, education and health, and they will go away.

Blacks believe the framers of the Constitution were a collective bunch of racist slaveowners. Latino lawmakers show an affinity toward their Latino brethren when it comes to immigration laws that affect the Constition are discussed. Which leads me to that hyocrite Marco Rubio…

One knows this situation will happen often. So the underestimated number of 800,000 will increses geometrically. Then of course, there will be the removal of certain words and conditions from the edict, which will lead to open borders eventually.

Americans in their hearts??

A recent poll of Mexican-Americans revealed that FIFTY-EIGHT PERCENT of them (and many of them presumably ARE full-fledged citizens) believe that Texas and the American southwest are the rightful property of Mexico.

The most indefensible part about this column is Schlussel’s declared intention to STILL vote for Romney. There are plenty of superior third-party candidates whose chances of winning are probably not that much worse than those of John McCain v.2.0.

Personally, I’ll be voting for the Constitution Party. I suppose that Romney would theoretically be SLIGHTLY better than Obama, but he has ZERO chance of winning. I don’t want him to limp to a “respectable” defeat or hold down 45 percent of the vote. I want that clown car campaign of his to CRASH, and for Romney to come spilling out of it in full clown makeup and rainbow wig, and then run around the circus tent a few times with his @ss on fire. TOTAL humiliation. If he doesn’t get blown out by a big enough margin in November, then I guarantee that the McCainiacs will be comin’ at ya in 2016, HARD, with YET ANOTHER MCCAIN. Wouldn’t it be great if this election destroyed their ability to choose the nominee for a decade or two? Because I don’t see “victory” on the menu that Romney handed me. If this election causes the McCainiacs to be marginalized for a generation, it might actually be WORTH another 4 years of Obama.

Just like this amnesty that Romney won’t repeal, Romney is already backpedaling on his commitment to repeal obamacare. Did you hear him say “I will stop it in its tracks”? That is a far cry from repealing it in its entirety.
