It’s On: La Raza, Wash Post v. Schlussel on Red Sonia a/k/a Justice J-Lo

By Debbie Schlussel
I called a spade a spade. I correctly pointed out that Sonia Sotomayor a/k/a So-So a/k/a Sonia From the Block a/k/a Justice J-Lo a/k/a Red Sonia has done nothing remarkable, that she got every single place she got for one reason: that she’s a female Latina and got affirmative action for it. That she has the same background and life story as J-Lo a/k/a Jennifer Lopez.
But you can’t tell the truth in America. Or, at least, you can’t tell it without being attacked and savaged by the left in America. So, predictably, the Nazi-funded Media Matters folks, the reconquista illegal alien schlubs at the National Council of La Raza and their friends at the Washington Post, and the WNBA season ticket holding brush-cutted “women” at various feminist groups are all upset about my truth-telling on Justice J-Lo. They say it’s prejudiced. Uh-huh.

Well, find me another person who isn’t a Puerto Rican female from the South Bronx, whose sole claim to fame is that she’s a Puerto Rican female from the South Bronx. It’s ridiculous. That she’s a Puerto Rican female from the South Bronx–just like J-Lo–is all we’ve heard about her qualification. Her actual “experience” and appointments are a giant house of cards based solely on those identity politics.
Sorry, La Raza, but you can’t have it both ways. You can’t have someone appointed merely because she’s a Latina with a vulva and expect us not to point it out. The woman is an empressina with no clothing. Oops–quick, somebody get that vision out of my mind.
No prob that Sotomayer, herself is a racist, bigot, and sexist against White males. I’m racist for pointing this out and for pointing out that she was picked based on ethnicity and gender–which is, in fact–sorry La Raza and the Washington Post–bigotry and sexism.
Oh, and one of my favorite critics is some idiot who, in claiming I’m a bigot, points out that I’m a Jew (hmmm . . . not hiding your anti-Semitism, are you?) and makes up something I never said:

Debbie Schlussel, a Jew, says because Jlo and Sotomayor are both Puerto Rican, they are therefore both extremely stupid and undeserving of their success

Hmmm . . . where did I say that? I never said anything of the sort. And I certainly would never say that. I think actually that J-Lo, Jennifer Lopez, is very smart and deserving of her success. After all, you gotta give a lot of props to a chick who went from being Diddy’s gun-moll to some sort of glamor girl and music and movie star. Patty Hearst is extremely jealous.
Look, if a Jew was picked for the U.S. Supreme Court for the sole reason that he/she was a Jew from the Brooklyn shtetl who eats bagels. I was extremely critical of President Clinton when he picked Ruth Bader Ginsburg, not because she was a Jew, but because he liked the comfort level in their conversation. That’s not why you pick a Justice . . . nor is the reason that a person has the same background as Jennifer Lopez.
About the new name for her, Red Sonia, reader Fred reminds me that Red Sonia, like most libs, has the endorsement of the Governator. As you watch this trailer, you’ll likely note that this is exactly how So-So a/k/a Sonia From the Block sees herself, minus the part about one man being good enough for her:

You know you’re on to the truth when the left responds with personal attacks.

And of course, the total hypocrisy of the Left – given that the same cast of characters now gung-ho for So-So were intimately involved in hounding Miguel Estrada (another Hispanic) out of the running for Appeals Court judge some years ago. Anyone notice that the Left’s “tolerance” and “diversity” ONLY extends to those in various “politically preferred” groups who are slaves in the politically correct leftist plantation? (Not just Hispanics, but African-Americans, women, even LGBT’s . . . )

Latina with a vulva. Succinct.

This woman does not belong anywhere near a court room let a lone the supreme court. I just some read speeches she gave at various colleges and she is just as bad as the leader of the KKK.
She sees the world through the lense of being a “Latina” and being a “Hispanic” both of which are inventions to give her minority grievance status.
I cannot believe it is even possible that she will be confirmed. It would be like appointing David Duke to the Supreme court.

Keep on keeping on Debbie. YOU ROCK!! No one other than you, Rush, G. Gordon Liddy and John Kobylt of KFI (LA RADIO) can “BRING IT”. Now her infamous comment by the left MSM is the “wise Latina” comment instead of the “better conclusion” comment. Now she misspoke! There is no way to misspeak “better conclusion”. Declaring a racial superiority in any notion regarding jurisprudence CAN NOT be misspoken. She talks about bringing her Latina influence, ok that is well and good, we all have influences, but you can’t explain away “better conclusion”. NO WAY NO HOW!!
This is how she feels, this what she is. This is how a “victim” sees the world. “I was wronged. My perspective is one of the oppressed. I am due retribution. I demand justice. My conclusions are therefore better than the oppressor.” So this is galvanized in her “better conclusion” comment, the oppressed (Latina) versus the oppressor (White Male). Liberals fall into the psychology of racial identity by saying “we must correct those wrongs and punish those evils”. Childish psycho-babble.
And again you liberals can’t have it both ways. Liberals are for affirmative action and then say it wasn’t used on her. Debbie is right, in the fact that once these programs are implemented that you can’t undo them and say well she wasn’t a product of affirmative action. When liberals want these programs they have unfairly undercut the legitimacy of all those that went through that door whether they could have done it on their own or not. Affirmative actions programs were in place and the fact that affirmative action programs exist allowed her to be a product of it. And if liberals don’t like the fact that one can call her an affirmative action candidate then says she was overwhelmingly qualified obviously then you admit there are those with those with questionable achievements who didn’t belong. Because of affirmative action liberals stamped a question on her and all minorities because of differing admissions criteria. The solution would be to do away with affirmative action and let the achievements alone speak for themselves. But liberals can’t do that because racial identity politics goes a long way.

Is that a picture of Danny Devito with long hair? Hopefully his reverse discrimination ruling will be overturned before the hearings.

Did you mean Volvo? Because surely she has a bmw by now…

I agree, Debbie. J-Lo slept and lip synched her way to the top, and well deserves all the rocks that she got. And she plays a glamorous hotel maid like nobody’s business. As for So-Lo, it hardly matters. Anyone BHO picks is sure to be a big sinkhole of left wing grievances. BTW did you notice that last month’s roadside bomb in Kabul killed two Jewish officers (Roslyn Schulte and Shawn Pine, z”l).

heard on the radio how tough her upbringing was “dealing with drug dealers in her school”. really, in her private school, she never went public to public school, they had a drug dealer problem. strange, I though that was why you sent your kids to private school. Maybe he was a Valium drug dealer.
so they give us the hard luck story so we give it that disney “aawwww” and ignore the facts.

J-Lo isn’t from the South Bronx. She grew up in the Castle Hill section of the East Bronx. The Wikipedia article is incorrect.

For those of your readers not familiar with “Red Sonia” da movie, here’s a delightful review (If you can tolerate the unnecessary language)…
LANGUAGE ALERT, btw, in case you missed my first allusion to it.
And if you enjoyed that, here’s my personal favorite, Twister…

You aren’t aware that the “upscale” schools probably had more drug use than inner city schools? In Greenwich, CN, (one of the richest cities per capita in the US) back in the 70’s, there was a time when over 90% of the local “HIGH” school admitted (in an anonymous survey) to being at least casual users, many of heroin.
That said, I’m wondering what kind of “DEALING” she was doing. I mean, if O’Bunko did a bit of “blow” when he could afford it, what did she “DO” to be able to afford it?
