Islamerica: Mohammed Now Among Most Popular Boys’ Names in Minnesota

By Debbie Schlussel

As I’ve told you on this site, America’s Muslim population doubled–largely through immigration–since 9/11. 40% of Muslims now in America emigrated here since 9/11. And of those 40%, 75% arrived during the Bush Administration, with an additional 25% under Barack Obama. Now, the damage is irreparable, and Mohammed is now among the most popular boys’ names in Minnesotastan . . . or is it MinneSomalia?

For the first time, Mohamed has made the list of the state’s most popular baby boy names, in at No. 98. The updated list, released Tuesday by the U.S. Social Security Administration, ranks Minnesota’s top 100 baby names for boys and girls.

The name, in its several variations, is one of the most popular worldwide for Muslim parents. It has risen on Minnesota’s list as the state’s population has rapidly changed. From 2000 to 2010, the number of residents of color grew 55 percent, and Minnesota’s fast-growing Somali population is the largest in the United States.

A decade from now, look for it to become the MOST popular boys’ name in Minnesota, just like it is in London.

Blacks and Muslims are naturally drawn to a place like Minnesota. It was mostly white, as in blindingly white, with lots of liberals and stupid people. It is low hanging fruit. Lots of white guilt, victim and sheeple mentality. In the future, the whole state could end up looking like East St. Louis.

this is ted,the swimmers, kennedy’s revenge against the wasps and it started with his 1965 immigration reform.this bill changed the ratio of white to black immigrants from 10 whites to one colored to one white to 10 colored people.this folly was helped along by rino republicans and is destroying the republic.the rinos are at it again by supporting gun grabbing national socialist democratic worker party.we are doomed debbie.

Okay “doomed”, but—as one of the Chinese military generals told one of our guys: “We’re going to hurt you.”—just suppose that, the 200M man Chinese army is now gearing up for a Sino-Russian invasion of the USA, to commence when the USA is hit by even one EMP weapon’s blast, . . .

In many ways Minnesota’s makeup used to be like Scandinavia’s – it was settled by people of Nordic descent. And hey just ScandoIslamia, look who’s changing Minnesota’s cultural and demographic landscape.

Mohammed isn’t only popular boy’s name in Northern Europe – and that’s happening here, too.

NormanF on April 12, 2013 at 4:27 pm

Who decides where these muslim and other (such as the Hmongs also sent to MN)immigrants go to? I can see that predominately white areas are targeted for muslim and other immigration, but I never figured out what apparatus was used by the government to do so.

Excellent question DSR! at 4:39 pm
RT is right about the accomplices, but who are these people in our gov’t hell bent on destroying the white American communities?
Or black, Christian, and ethnic communities for that matter.
And no, it’s not some imagined conspiracy. My old neighborhoods have gone through 3 changes in two generations.

theShadow on April 12, 2013 at 10:47 pm

From the world’s refugee camps the United Nations asign quota’s – and the Muslim nations are packed with refugees.

Also, from what I understand, the Catholic’s and Lutheran’s (liberal Christians in name only) have placement NGO’s that receive funding to place these refugee’s in American towns. I’m sure they must work with our State Department to pick which town to plant these social weeds so that American society is changed. The H’mongs were basically a Christian tribal federation from SE Asia – our allies during the Vietnam era. Notice though that there are FEW Christians being granted refugee status from the Middle East. Islam has invaded the highest levels of the American government – Christian sects of any flavor are not welcome. They plan on letting the Muslims kill them off – Armenians, Assyrians and Copts are all cannon fodder for the suicide bombers.

Liberal “churches” and various organizations help place these third world immigrants. Say you are a bishop or a pastor of a local church or group of churches and you are an ass kissing, liberal, guilty white person, you bring them to your church, give them money, and a place to stay. You help them sign up for welfare, the Obama phone, drivers license, etc. And, in another few years, they will be working to get sharia law into your community. And, of course they bring all their third world diseases, AIDS and bed bugs to your community with them.

RT on April 12, 2013 at 8:34 pm

Well, they need to reverse direction; for, as so long ago, a wise man left for us: “Are we to strengthen the hands of those who hate The Lord?”. But, daily it seems, the USA is abandoning G0D, . . .

PhillipGaley on April 13, 2013 at 10:21 am

F’ng disgusting. Every day it becomes harder to recognize the country I grew up in and I’m only 35. It’s really hard not have “negative feelings” towards these different types of people from all their various shitholes who bring their garbage customs with them instead of leaving them behind and then go on to undermine the fabric that’s held this country together. Even worse is the American citizens who think it’s completely fine not expect even the most minimal attempt at assimilation. Blechhh…

Matt on April 12, 2013 at 9:22 pm

Skunky (also a great name for you, and your opinions), what exactly do you think LOLOL means? If LOL means “Laugh Out Loud” are trying to say “Laugh Out Loud Out Loud”? That’s about the level of discourse you can handle. OMG! Also what’s with the “aggro”? This isn’t the UK or Australia. Why don’t you speak like a real American, anyway?

Here, I want to respond to your dumb-ass post by vomiting up your own words back in your own rotten mouth…

And yes, maybe I don’t dress the way you do or eat the same food or even have the same customs but it’s a free country, I can do what I want. If you don’t like it…go somewhere else. We’re not leaving. This is our home.

theShadow on April 13, 2013 at 12:17 am

THIS is the world I live in, America. Like I said, the country is changing, and we’ll just have to see how it changes with the new demographic. My children’s America will be different than the America you know now. Who’s to say what it will be like. So more boys will be named Mohammed and more girls Fatima. You’ll hear aunties speaking in a different language and maybe different types of food show up in the supermarkets — food I’m more used to than you. Bottom line, dude: this is the way it is now in our (yours and my) country. You’re just gonna have to deal with it.

justnotgood on April 13, 2013 at 12:34 am

Islam is not a race—opposition isn’t racist. My problem with Islam is that it is viciously misogynistic, as can be seen from what it is doing to Europe. It also is NOT tolerant of you doing your own thing. I live in rural MN; I visit the Twins less and less. In fact, when I go big city, I visit Fargo. (By the way, both my kids are adopted Mayan Indians, and I am a white guy, so take your “racist comments” reply and shove it you know where.)

Have you READ the Koran, and reviewed Mo’s life? You should. Mohammed stole, mass murdered, and slept with children—his youngest wife was 9 when he raped her. He was 50.

    Occam's Tool on April 15, 2013 at 12:21 am

Thanks for stating the obvious.
Do termites ever leave until they’ve destroyed their home?

Apart from the fact you’ll feel less conspicuous and have more options at the supermarket(which is all idiots like you know to care about) there’s no suspense as far as the outcome.
The outcome is the disaster you moved here to get away from because the disaster is you. The only reason you don’t know it is because you’re young and stupid and you never really understood what made America work in the first place.

Deal with it.

@Frankz, excellent points. I couldn’t have said it better. “They” destroyed the countries they lived in and moved here bringing their values with them. Same thing is going to happen here.

Someone once stated, “you know what is wrong with Somalia?” Somalis live there. And now they live here…

Karen on April 13, 2013 at 1:45 pm

You know; this is the puzzling thing to me. Moslems hate us because of our support to Israel, yet they leave their countries and come to live with the heathen Kafers here and all over the West. Why???? Because their lives with other Moslems is Hell. Literally hell. Here is paradise for them. Yet they are quite ungrateful traitors. This is the Islamic mentality; bite the hand that feeds you and hate those who are good to you.

Actually the Bushs should be tried for betraying our country and bringing in all this scum. I went to the Schaumburg public Library. There is a half a shelf for all these books about Islam. Not one Bible on the Shelfs. Why ???? Because we have a seperation between the State and the Church. You know I would like to modify that a little bit. We should have a seperation between the State and religions. All of them. Not just one. I will call my congressmman and tell him that.

Frankz on April 14, 2013 at 10:52 am

Good grief, this article and the 29 xenophobic comments it has received are absolutely sickening. I cannot understand how so many intelligent and well-educated people can visit a site like this and spew such hatred and vitriol. I suppose that’s just how things are; people will always be horrible by nature and the anonymity of the internet allows the spite to shine through with minimal consequence. But I should get back to the topic at hand, this article.
What exactly is the problem with Mohammed being No.98 on a list of most popular baby names for the state of Minnesota? So it’s broken into the top 100, big deal. In a state with a population of 5,379,139 and Mohammed being the 98th most popular name of boys in the state, it hardly seems like Muslims are overrunning the state and causing irreparable damage as Ms. Schlussel claims (though I do concede that it is entirely possible that is has the potential to be the MOST popular name in 50 years or so if the immigration rate remains consistent).
To be honest, I have absolutely no fear of Muslims overrunning Minnesota or other immigrants coming to the US. What I really fear is ignorant, closed-minded people swarming the US and spreading their xenophobia and spite.

Why? on April 14, 2013 at 3:30 pm

@”Why?” (I say it like that idiot Nancy Kerrigan when she got her knee smashed!),

LOL. What you are seeing here (much to your chagrin) are people who have been told the TRUTH of Islam. How poisonous it is, how perverted and twisted it is and what a futile death-cult it is. Sorry. We know the truth and will not go quietly/

Gamal, I think MORE should be brought forth about Huma Abedine. Her ties are alarming as is her closeness to “Cankles”.

I do often ponder what is the what with her and her UGLY, pervo husband. His own brother even described him as “douchey”. He has not the looks OR personality (and he has been found to be a real perv stinker. too!) so what is in for Huma Abedine to marry that effing idiot? Many thinks she’s pretty. WHY (not like the dopey “Nancy Kerrigan” “Why????” above) would she marry and stay married to a disgustingly ugly, loser, KAPO, JINO like Wiener?? He’s just gross on every level.

Does anyone have any idea? I think this is an arrangement of convenience with Huma Abedine being in TOTAL control. It’s annoying how many people do not question this union as they should.

Skunky on April 14, 2013 at 4:41 pm

I had my fingers crossed that you would reply to my post. I agree that you and the people who know the truth should not go quietly (that would be censorship, which I often find to be an incredibly disgusting practice), but just don’t understand why everyone seems to hate Muslims on this site, though I freely admit that has a lot to do with my personal experience.
One of my best friends in high school was a Muslim kid from Pakistan named Mohammed. His family moved here when we were in middle school. He played baritone in our marching band (and was accepted into the All-American Army Band our senior year), went to all the sporting events, and loved eating at the Johnny Rocket’s in the mall. You could also have a debate about religion or philosophy with him and he never once went rabid and labelled me and my other friends (who were mainly White, Hispanic, and Asian)as “vile infidels who should be stoned to death” or anything insane like that. For as many Mohammeds as there are who follow the poisonous, twisted, perverted death-cult of Islam you describe, I believe that there are just as many (if not more) Mohammeds that are like the one I knew in high school; good kids with open minds who, in my opinion, are definitely All-American. Again, this could just all be personal bias and you very well could be right.

Why? on April 14, 2013 at 5:09 pm

“…but just don’t understand why everyone seems to hate Muslims on this site,…”

You don’t know because you don’t KNOW the material. Look in the archives to learn a thing or two. You come on here full of arrogance but short of KNOWLEDGE. Don’t blame us for your lack of knowledge. I don’t know a lot on the hydrolic behaviour of electronic estuaries but you don’t see me going on blogs and complaining about it. I’d have to have some understanding FIRST, unlike YOU who are riddled with PC nonsense and complain when you are woefully uninformed.

And how do you know if your friend Mohammed is not a Jihadi? Have you talked to him recently? You don’t know what MikeZZ once posted. There are Mooooooslims who will do the actual Jihad and there are so so-called “moderates” who will not do the Jihad BUT they want the Jihadis to do the Jihad on the Infidel.

Grow up! PC touchy-feely crap can only get you so far.

Skunky on April 14, 2013 at 5:43 pm

Quite contrary to what you may believe, I actually did look through archives on the site before I wrote my first post because I was trying to understand where this behavior and vitriol was coming from. I read a lot of Debbie’s posts on crimes and other unspeakably heinous acts that some Muslims commit and I was shocked and disgusted and I can see why there are people who direct a lot of spite toward this religious group. I also two years of Asian History (which includes the Middle East) in high school as per the International Baccalaureate requirement as well as a foreign language(Spanish). My issue here is that people don’t seem to take into account that there are Muslims like the Mohammed I knew in high school and get all worked up that there are a lot of people named Mohammed in Minnesota.
And as to you question “how do you know if your friend Mohammed is not a Jihadi?” I know because of a presentation he gave for our Theory of Knowledge course in which he explained how religion (of all different varieties) can be considered a way of knowing and spent a good 50% of his presentation condemning people who misuse the word “Jihad” and use it to commit heinous acts (I would ask someone who is Muslim what that word means or do some legitimate research before tossing it around as if the mere mention of it is to set off someone’s berserker mode).
As for your statement about PC touchy-feely crap getting me so far, I agree. PC touchy-feely crap got me the status of salutatorian and section leader during my senior year of high school, an IB diploma, a full-ride scholarship to a private university, and multicultural friends that I wouldn’t trade for the world.
Lastly, I figured that I should say something about how I believe knowledge since you brought it up in your post. The sum of human knowledge is vast. All of us have a vast range of opinions, beliefs, perspectives, and tastes which we to attempt to gain knowledge and understand our world. But because of these conflicting opinions, beliefs, perspectives, and tastes it is difficult if not impossible to KNOW about something absolutely as what is knowledge or truth to one person is not always so for someone else. I don’t claim to be an expert Islam or the people who visit Ms. Schlussel’s site (though as I previously said, I am under the impression that everyone here is extremely intelligent and well-educated), I just came here seeking answers for why there is this lingering animosity toward Muslims who seem to be minding their own business and hoped that someone would provide them without resulting to personal attacks and purposeful misspellings of words (i.e., Mooooooslims)in an attempt to offend or discourage.

Why? on April 14, 2013 at 6:37 pm

Give it up “Why?”. I had to sludge thru’ your long, rambling post when it’s clear you are an apologist.

If you REALLY read all the stories you would be horrified and it would be hard to reconcile your ignorant yet “kumbaya-ish” conclusion with the ugly truth. Puh-leeze.

If someone else want to have a go with you they are welcome to it. You’re an idiot straggler and guess what…”Ain’t nobody got time for that”.

When the facts themselves (printed DAILY in a country that cover many stories up (ala The Abortion House of Horrors Dr. Kermit Gosnell black-out) will not convince you to see what you should see, you’re a willing ignoramus and I have no time for that dopey nonsense. Buh-bye!

Canadian Steve,

I am your Canadian brother. I like your sense of humor about Obamullah. Actually it should be Sayful Islam Obamullah. But he is not alone. Many Americans are falling for the Arabs and the Moslems as a fad. Huma Abdine; “Hillary Clinton’s Secretary” is a saudi American of Indian Father and a Pakistani mother; Salhah Abdine a leader of the Moslem Women’s association; the feminine parallel of the Moslem brothelhood. Her brotherand her father are prominet Talibans. Sometimes I wonder; where did the brains of Americans go.

Gamal R. Scharoubim on April 14, 2013 at 3:35 pm

Did they count all the variations & spellings of the name? Such as Mohammed, Muhammad, Mohamed, Mahmud, Mehmet, et al? Put all those together, and the rankings would be far higher than 98.

Infidel on April 14, 2013 at 4:36 pm

Infidel, thank you for stating that Mahmud and Mehmet were variations on Mohammed. I didn’t know that! I should have (remember the many spellings of Qaddafi??) but didn’t. I always learn from your posts.

No we dont need anymore population. There aren’t enough jobs to go around now. That argument is made by the corporate greed machine trying to keep labor wages as low as possible by creating a huge surplus of low-skilled, easily led, Third World workers.

Their greed knows no bounds. They would sell their own mothers for profit.

NormanF on April 14, 2013 at 6:08 pm

Also @ justnotgood, please allow me to lay a considerable dosage of reality on you.

All nations are a direct reflection of the people who founded them and are the original inhabitants. For example, China is a direct refllection of the Chinese people. Japan, the Japanese people. France, the French people and so on.

What you are describing and looking forward to is the death of America as we know it. This is true because America will change from what it is now into a direct reflection of the new majority of people flooding into her now. If that new majority is from Mexico then America will slowly become Mexico. Similarly, France, Germany, and Britain are becoming Islamic nations. The traditional cultures and customs of these nations, which were produced by the original inhabitants are being replaced with the cultures and customs of Pakistanis, Algerians, and Turks because these are the new “Europeans.”

The rule is this: a nation can maintain its traditional character only so long as its traditional inhabitants remain a significant majoriity of its population and in control of the major institutions — government, legal system, education, mass media, etc.

I do not share your optimism for America’s future. Why not? Because I have been to Mexico, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, and Africa.

Wild Jew man on April 14, 2013 at 6:51 pm

Why do you ask stupid questions when the only answer you’re interested in is that we’re all xenophobic?
If people are “horrible by nature” then you should be worried about some of the Muslim brand of horrible that is cataloged on this site.
The reason you don’t care at all about any of that is that social liberals always like to think of themselves as the light of the world.
Case in point – you had a Muslim friend. He was the nicest guy in the world. Hallelujah. If we all just made friends and said nice things about each other on blogs we could solve the world’s problems. Yay, amazing it’s taken people this long to realize that.

Ever ask yourself how impossible it would be to reverse the situation and for you to go to Pakistan and practice Christianity with security as Muslims practice their faith in the US?

This link will help you out.

Ever ask what happens when you bring loads of ordinary, everyday people from places you know nothing about into the country and they aren’t assimilated because they can get on just fine anyways?
Well you don’t have to – not that you would – liberals never think about the future except when they think about how it should be more liberal.
Don’t worry though – to find out all you have to do is look at what happens in European countries that are much further down the yellow brick road.

Your way of thinking is all very commendable when it comes to “All-American Army Band” practice and debating philosophy at the nearest Starbucks but that’s not the world anymore. Wake up because this is getting tedious.

Frankz on April 14, 2013 at 7:12 pm

Thanks for the fairly courteous and informative response Frankz, I really appreciate it. I read the Fox News article that you posted a link to I have to admit that it gave me a new perspective that I had never really considered before, something to ponder, and something to be thankful for (not sure that it’s radically changed my opinion, though; I may need some more time to digest it).
Sorry about the wording of my first post, it was irresponsible and irrational and I never meant to imply that I believed that everyone on this site was xenophobic or that I only wanted answers that agreed with my statement. I think the question I was looking for answers to was something more along the lines of ‘Why is everyone getting so worked up over this particular aspect of Islam in the US when there are so many more important things or other aspects to get worked up about?’
Also I don’t believe that I am “the light of the world,” I have done plenty of things wrong and believed in a lot of stupid trash that I sincerely apologize for. I only wrote that anecdote about my Muslim friend in high school because I felt that it was a waste of time to talk about people born in the US with the name Mohammed because they would PROBABLY (the key word being ‘probably’) have to assimilate.
I think that’s really all I have to say in response to your comment. Again, thanks for being fairly courteous and providing me with something to ponder over the next few days (especially given recent events).

LOLOL. 3 innocent people and over 100 maimed in Boston *MAY* have got “Why???????”‘s attention.

How disgusting that innocent people had to die at the heinous hands of a Jihadi for this moron to finally have a small change of heart? Didn’t want to listen to facts FREELY in front of him/her that have been readily available since 9-11 BUT now that fresh, innocent blood has been shed….hmmmmm, it’s something to ponder.

Pardon me if I am disgusted by such a know-nothing buffoon!

Skunky on April 15, 2013 at 11:27 pm

Well this is surprising… I thought you were done having a go at me because “Ain’t nobody got time for that.”
It is absolutely disgusting that you would use the deaths of 3 innocent people and the maiming of over 100 people in Boston as an excuse to insult me some more. Besides, other than your prejudiced gut feeling and Ms. Schlussel’s posts over the past few days, how do you KNOW it was a Jihadi? All of the other media outlets are saying this was an act of terrorism and that investigators have gathered a wealth of evidence but they still don’t know who was involved in the bombing for sure… But I suppose viewing or trusting any source other than Fox or this site is another example of my arrogance and ignorance.
Anyway, I think I’m done here; I’ve got much better things to do with my time than arguing with someone who is too closed-minded to do anything other than insult and condemn other people who don’t agree with her.
