HILARIOUS VIDEO: Cleveland Kidnapping Hero Charles Ramsey History Channel Special

By Debbie Schlussel

In the last day, you’ve probably heard the name, Charles Ramsey. The man who rescued Amanda Berry–one of the women who’d been held hostage in the Cleveland house for ten years–gave an interesting interview to the media (he essentially accused White people of racism, though). Jimmy Kimmel packaged it up into a hilarious History Channel show (after all, in our Kardashian age, this is what “history” is, right?).

He wasn’t referring to himself. He was referring to the criminal. Castro “got some big testicles to pull this off, bro,” Ramsey told WEWS. “Because we see this dude every day. I mean every day.”

Regarding himself, he declined any notions of his being a hero, but just that he was doing the right thing, and blamed himself for not helping the women sooner.

“and he essentially accused White people of racism”

That was not his intent at all.

G: You’re right about the testicles part. My mistake. Corrected. DS

Gerald on May 8, 2013 at 9:40 am

Elaborating on “That was not his intent at all” … I mean, white females do fear being targeted as victims by black male criminals, right? I cannot fathom how a site that is proudly and unabashedly supportive of racial profiling can deny that this was Ramsey’s meaning and context. Ramsey’s politically incorrectness should not be depicted as anti-white racism.

      Geritol is back.

      Worry01 on May 8, 2013 at 10:08 am

It’s truly a sad & disingenuous thing when one feels the need to be offended and make excuses for a group rather than being brave (and morally correct) and call a spade a spade.

Or see things that are not really there due to an achilles heel blind spot. IE “racial profiling”.

You don’t see me making excuses and wringing my hands because these three dirt-bag, human stains are Latino. I would never do that. I’m bold enough to state that yet again, Latinos can be quite trifling and very embarrassing.

You know, the ones that are not deeply religious, dearly family oriented and Valedictorians (especially illegal alien Latinos).

Skunky on May 8, 2013 at 11:28 am

That’s a true hero in my book – he saved someone and didn’t expect a special reward or recognition for his valor. I give my help when needed without consideration for how it reflects on me; its simply my duty.

Charley Ramsey is a good all-round guy and you wish there were more people like him in this world.

NormanF on May 8, 2013 at 10:40 am

Supportive of racial profiling? Beats me! I haven’t seen any examples of that.

Little Al on May 8, 2013 at 10:27 am

Well, to be honest, maybe because he’s Black and I’m White, I could only understand a very few words that he was saying.

Anyway, what’s wrong with being “racist”?

I used to buy into that government approved indoctrination too, but based on what I see happening all around me every single day, I’ve now changed my opinion.

By the way, Miss Schlussel and fans – – – ,

I’ll always treasure the happy memories of actually being there!

John Robert Mallernee on May 8, 2013 at 10:27 am

Mr. Mallernee, I’ve heard nearly every accent imaginable in the United States, from deep southern to Texan to Bostonian to “Brooklynese” to Appalachian to Midwestern. If you can’t understand what Mr. Ramsey is saying, that’s because you, as you stated yourself, choose not to hear him because of the color of his skin.

But I am glad that Mr. Ramsey chose to listen to the cries of another human being and helped rescue her and the other captives.

Melyssa on May 8, 2013 at 12:43 pm

Fool, do you think accents or racial issues are the only reasons one person cannot understand another?

Little Al on May 8, 2013 at 12:47 pm

Little Al, this Mr. Mallernee plainly gave the reason he claimed to understand only a few words Mr. Ramsey said. And given his past writings, I’m not surprised.

Charles Ramsey has become an Internet sensation because most people understood EXACTLY what he said (and thought he was a hoot!).

Melyssa on May 8, 2013 at 2:14 pm

Melyssa …. how do you KNOW “most people” understood what Mr. Ramsey said? I’ve discussed this case with several who were not able to understand everything Mr Ramsey said and none of their reasons had to do with race. They just couldn’t understand him for whatever reason. Don’t be so quick to play the racist card unless you have real proof. That only adds to the problem.

Elizabeth Anne on May 8, 2013 at 4:10 pm

@ Skunky…

Be careful of using the term “…calling a spade a spade”. That used to be a derogatory term years ago when referring to blacks. Just don’t want the PC pukes to rattle their sabres outside your door…(like they’re not already…)

IceNoMore on May 8, 2013 at 11:49 am

Yep, Ice, I thought of that as I typed it and decided to go with it anyway because that’s the way it came in my mind naturally and I hate being PC so once I cogitated on it, I decided to throw caution to the wind.

    But you are absolutely correct!

Death to PC. Long live the TRUTH!

Skunky on May 8, 2013 at 12:46 pm

Hey Skunky…damn skippy when it comes to the truth but people don’t want to hear it anymore because it hits too close to home. Especially the self-appointed all knowing who can’t find their ass with both hands.

So, I say let them dwell in their delusions of grandeur and I’ll just continue being a realist and call it like it is…

      Keep up the good posts!

IceNoMore on May 8, 2013 at 7:56 pm

More people named Castro enslaving others who want to be free. How ironic.

DJH on May 8, 2013 at 11:56 am

Ah, the good old days, when a spade was just a spade, and a hoe was just a hoe, not a ho!

James D. from the Republic of Texas on May 8, 2013 at 11:58 am

My biggest pet hate these days are peeps who type out “hoe” instead of “ho”.

The e is at the end of whore so I have no idea how the dopes decided to plonk it after the H-O!

Skunky on May 8, 2013 at 12:50 pm

This guy is funny and I hope we see more of him–and by the way what ever happened to Jiggaboo Jones, the black rapper guy who organized a party mocking Black History Month at UCSD a few years ago and then everybody blamed a white fraternity for the unPC themed party?
But that being said, suppose a white guy said “When a pretty little black girl runs into the arms of a white man I know there’s something wrong.” It would be largely ignored no doubt.

Joe Guiney on May 8, 2013 at 12:30 pm

Huh? Making excuses? I don’t get it. White women fear being murdered/raped/killed by black males. Based on crime statistics, it is a logical, reason-based fear grounded in fact. I am not a fan of Dinesh D’Souza, but it is something that he called “rational racism” in “The End Of Racism.” I mean come on, what was the Trayvon Martin hip hop hoodie rap music thug thing about anyways? As far as the racial profiling thing … is anyone on here going to come out against Rudy Giuliani’s stop-and-frisk policy in NYC? Ms. Schlussel sure isn’t.

This fellow was only making reference to the same “black males and crime” theme that Ms. Schlussel and nearly all the commenters speak of on here on a regular basis. To put it another way: how many of you would enter an inner city neighborhood in Detroit, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, Washington D.C. etc? How many of you would do at night while alone, unarmed, and on foot i.e. the Central Park jogger? Now see if you can honestly reconcile the answer to that question with claiming that Charles Ramsey made a racist statement against whites. He wasn’t. It was a politically incorrect reference to the severe problem of black male violent crime. Where did all the conservatives on this site who want Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, the NAACP, Barack Obama and Hollywood liberals to address that issue go?

Gerald on May 8, 2013 at 2:13 pm

Let’s dismantle the crux of Gerald’s achilles heel “issue” (it’s a character flaw by now because deductive reasoning should have cleared it up for him by now and hasn’t). Character issues are as “to the man” as they get. You either do the right thing or not.

    1) Dinesh D’Souza has ZERO credibility. He has written a truly disingenuous book on Obama-Putin. I see now why you sited him. He thinks a lot like you (and it’s not much because those who know your achilles heel, Gerald, know you don’t have much to offer in deductive reasoning and critical thinking). FAIL!

    2) “…how many of you would enter an inner city neighborhood in Detroit, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, Washington D.C. etc? How many of you would do at night while alone, unarmed, and on foot i.e. the Central Park jogger?”

Not many Gerald. Not because mostly the denizens of those hellish areas you listed are BLACK…smart, critical thinkers know it’s due to socio-economics and Donk politics. Unfortunately, most American blacks, like you, are NOT critical thinkers. If they were, they’d run, not walk away from the Democrat party. Instead, they embrace their own slave drivers (Liberals, Democrats…) and vote for them in the 90% mark. Add that to a 70% PLUS born-out-of-wedlock rate and you have a sad, tragic disaster. They are doing it to themselves because they don’t wanna open their own eyes to those who are heinously playing them. If they had any brains they’d go to TOTAL WAR against the Democrat party and Liberals. They still have the freedom to in USA but I just don’t see that happening. They’ve been tricked by the tricksters. It’s a choice, not a sentence (as in prison sentence).

Face it Gerald, the smart peeps here have you cornered. You do this every time. You’ll go away ’til it comes up again and you’ll do your Rumpelstiltskin routine and then go have a bex somewhere else for a while. Rinse, lather, repeat.

You can either contact a therapist for it or for once in your life look at a cold, hard truth and accept it and decide to fight on the proper side. I wouldn’t bet on you thou’. Not even 1 lousy cent with lint on it.

Skunky on May 8, 2013 at 4:29 pm

Some on here leaving comments are pathetic people trying to make a non issue into something. This guy was making a “funny” stop getting all worked up over nothing. He didn’t accuse anyone of racial profiling or accuse white people of being racist, it was a joke, you can cleary see this disheveled man was being silly. He’s a little “throwed off” as we say in the hood. Calm down all of you!!!! especially YOU SkunkSkunk

Big D on May 8, 2013 at 2:31 pm

Aw. Bliss. Whenever I hit Big, Dumb Dinky in his solar plexus it feels like a big, soul kiss in my heart!

RIF, Big, Dumb Dinky. I did not comment on Charles Ramsey (although I feel what he said was kinda raaaaaaacist on his end…) I was commenting on our resident race concern-ist Gerald. I know what his issue is (and it is truly his…) and I like to poke holes in it anytime it is valid.

Keep reading my posts, Big, Dumb Dinky. Knowing I get to you makes my heart feel like a roaring lion! 😉

Skunky on May 8, 2013 at 4:12 pm

Get a sense of humor! The guy was overcome with emotion at suddenly becomming an international hero. He was trying to make light of it.

Paul on May 8, 2013 at 2:41 pm

Hmm, you know what, I’m glad and thankful that these girls are saved and rescued and can live a normal life, and I’m also thankful that these three guys were arrested for abducting these girls and having them captive for nearly a decade against their will, but here’s my reasoning regarding this Charles Ramsey guy, if I we’re any of you here, I wouldn’t paint this man as a hero and here’s why.

First off, Mr. Ramsey admitted that he was familiar with the Castro brothers and that he lives across the road from them, he also said that he saw them and the three females everyday of the week and witnessed a lot of stuff that were suspicious, cynical and wary, etc. So my question is, if Mr. Ramsey noticed a lot or some suspicious stuff occurring at that residence, why didn’t he notified the authorities on what was going at the place and waiting nearly a decade later?

Something doesn’t quite add up here and I’m kinda wary on Charles Ramsey, I think this man knew something from the get-go, and I don’t mean to sound like a conspiracy-truther on this issue Debbie and others!

“A nation is defined by its borders, language & culture!”

Sean R. on May 8, 2013 at 3:14 pm

Sean, I just wanna point out that these poor girls will NEVER have a normal life. They can, but they have many mountains to climb to be able to overcome what they had to endure under duress and bad intent.

They average American person is NOT mentally healthy in 2013 and fights battles (known and unknown) constantly in everyday life.

This story is not over. Those girls will need the support of people and things that are just not at hand in USA in 2013…even if people wanna think so.

I am thinking of the long, hard road these girls will have to travel. I don’t envy them but at this time I wish them the very best.

Skunky on May 8, 2013 at 4:37 pm

Sean, I haven’t found any news account where Mr. Ramsey said he saw three women over there. He did say he would see two small kids playing in the backyard and assumed they were the grandkids of the perp. He said he ate barbecue and listened to Salsa dancing with the dude and didn’t know ANY women were over there. When he helped the first victim escape, she was the one who told him there were two others in the house. He said he didn’t know of any suspicious activity at the house or he would have acted a lot sooner.

Melyssa on May 8, 2013 at 3:25 pm

@Melyssa … that’s my take on it, too. He has said he did not see any women over there. Also, I don’t think Mr. Ramsey was being racist with his remark about a “pretty little white girl”. It’s no more than a white person telling about an incident and then saying something like, “I don’t know if a black person would have done that or not.” QUIT LOOKING FOR RACIST OVER/UNDERTONES IN WHAT PEOPLE SAY! Down with PC!

Elizabeth Anne on May 8, 2013 at 3:56 pm

As for Debbie getting a sense of humor, forget about it,”it ain’t gonna happen” however Mr. Ramsey deserves his 15 minutes of fame for saving the lives of three unfortunate victims. His comments are hilarious because we all know the misconceptions of black men being overly desirous of white women and they should be afraid (i.e. BIRTH OF A NATION). Unfortunately this attitude still persist in this country and Mr. Ramsey’s comments was a reflection of this notion.
would I be wrong in suggesting that Mexican men have this strong desire for young teenage girls and procuring them by any means necessary, even against their wills?

MANGOG on May 8, 2013 at 4:08 pm

He rescued her, so much for his racism. It’s what we actually do, how we treat people that determines if we are racist or not.

Janis on May 8, 2013 at 4:23 pm

One more thing…the Dejesus girl’s relative made a statement thanking the FBI? iS SHE CRAZY? This guy should be thanked , not the FBI OR DID i MISS SOMETHING?

Janis on May 8, 2013 at 4:25 pm

Miss Schlussel:

I thought for sure you’d post something about today being “Jerusalem Day”, the anniversary of Israel’s paratroopers capturing the Arab section of Jerusalem, permitting free access for Jews and Christians to the Temple Mount and the Western Wall.

I only know about it because I saw it on another web site.

When I was in Jerusalem (as the only Christian on an all Jewish tour group), we stopped at the Hadassah Hospital, where I purchased a souvenir key chain depicting Moshe Dayan and Yitzak Rabin, the heroes of the Six Day War.

I still have that souvenir key chain, and it sits right here in my room, in my footlocker.

Neat stuff, huh?

Melyssa, Et Alii:

It’s been noted, and truthfully so, that when someone lacks the ability to express themselves with the use of simple logic, that they resort to name calling and accusations.

I’ve been all over this whole wide world, studied at several colleges, served as a soldier, police officer, firefighter, and paramedic, acted in community theatre plays, and performed as a singer/songwriter.

I lived through, witnessed, and experienced the so-called “Civil Rights” (?) movement, and I’ve lived with and worked with Black people.

I’ll never forget my own personal experience, observations, and impressions of life in Washington, D.C., an all Black city, with gunfire and sirens all night, EVERY night.

You bet I am – – – and for darn good reason, too!

Mox nix.

Many years ago, there was a skit on the NBC show, “SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE”, in which a group of Black people acted ignorant, slurring their speech unintelligibly whenever a White person entered the room, but as soon as the White person left, the Black people became cultured and well mannered college intellectuals, using excellent grammar and enunciation.

Are you able to get the joke?

If it were not for the accurate stereotypes, there would be no comedy, would there?

Thank you.

No wonder that this guy was able to get away with torturing 3 girls for 10 years – with a retard (I am sorry to have to use the term so demonstratively here – but there is no otehr way to express this) like Charles Murphy living next door.

Randal P on May 8, 2013 at 6:38 pm

Is he the funny hero who rescued these victims or the stupid idiot that was to dumb to figure it out for 10 years? He is no hero – he is an idiot.

Randal P on May 8, 2013 at 6:58 pm

You must be kidding Skunky, Gerald was right on with his comments, it stuns and amazes me on how you are able to disagree with his cogent postings, while so many others on here just spew inane foolishness. Gerald typed “the real” its just people like yourself cannot deal with “the real” and choose to conflate the topic at hand, ignore answering questions and be ostentatious with your wit. Roaring lion huh, lol.

Big D on May 8, 2013 at 7:48 pm

Big, Dumb Dinky, you suffer from intellectual dyslexia. Everything you said about me (and Gerald, respectively) is the total opposite of reality. So sad, too bad.

If I were incorrect, Dinesh D’Souza would NOT be disingenuous and American Blacks (my dad was half one BTW) would NOT be fooled by Donks & Libtards and their out-of-wedlock birth rate would be less than 30% and peeps would not be afraid to walk in their non-fatherless, thriving neighbourhoods.

Since you get everything backwards, I hope you change your name to BRIAN and a fellow dyslexic zombie eats your BRAIN. Well, your brain has already been feasted on so let that go…

You’re too dopey to see Gerald’s issue is an affective disorder and a character issue. But I wouldn’t expect anything less from a dink like you.

(BTW, I figured out from the last post that you have a number of “handles” here. Just use Big, Dumb Dinky. Why do you need more than 1 handle???)

Skunky on May 8, 2013 at 8:20 pm

So by your logic, anyone who notices race is therfore racist. Amusing. Dream on school kid.

WJM on May 8, 2013 at 10:04 pm

I bet the three young girls family are very happy and thankful to this man and could care less what color he is or what he has done in life or has said.

Here’s a lesson to be learned:

Then look at the recent news.

Proof positive that this man had done more than just redeem himself.

The Reverend Jacques on May 9, 2013 at 10:37 am

Listen Skunk, people on here, may pretend to be this person or that person, Im just me, BigD. I don’t get off playing internet bully, troll. I will agree that blacks follow the dems blindly and shouldn’t, the dems do with their social programs do more harm than good, but it doesnt excuse your postings that are inaccurate. I like the term intellectual dyslexia tho, but doesnt apply to me.

Big D on May 9, 2013 at 2:21 pm

You like a lot of what I write, Big Dumb Dinky. Fortunately, it doesn’t rub off on you. You’re simple-minded, boring and a follower.

I’m glad you think I am inaccurate. It’s my affirmation for the day that I am on the proper road. Yee-haw!

    It’s fun being the UN-you.

And you’re a liar and a fraud. You have never displayed any of those things you *SAY* you believe in. Being disingenuous is boring for the spectator. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

Skunky on May 9, 2013 at 4:08 pm

Skunky, Im not on here to entertain you, lets get that straight like 9:15. I admit there are times I’m impressed by your wit, other times, you write inane drivel. Calling me a liar and a fraud is a perfect example. Saying that I have different monikers on here is another, saying im being disingenuous is another, many times you ignore answering questions and attack, name call, which is very unimpressive. You are completely out of your mind if you think that I would misrepresent my beliefs. I post to topics that interest me, at times i will read your comments and i cant help but respond. You should read the book, by Wayne Perryman-Unfounded Loyalty. A book I endorse and think it would be a great service for blacks to read. Next time before you reduce yourself to a blatherskite, think before you type. (im a independent/libertarian) fyi

      Big D on May 9, 2013 at 4:49 pm

Consider this post me ignoring the inanities you just wrote.

You need help for your intellectual dyslexia. But I ain’t gonna help you. Later, I’m getting sleepy now.

Skunky on May 9, 2013 at 5:04 pm

ha ha, Skunk Skunk think she know me, you dont know me, lol. (s is left of on purpose before you try to correct my grammar) lol, you don’t know jack. Before you ever try to debate me, remember Ive forgotten more than you will ever learn! Goodnight! (Sacramento time lol)

Big D on May 9, 2013 at 9:38 pm

You seem to love Jimmy Kimmel’s brand of “comedy”. He’s a liberal just like John Stewart and Stephen Colbert. Why don’t you ever post anything from conservative comedians Dennis Miller, Victoria Jackson, Steve Crowder, or Brad Stine. Liberals have enough publicity without conservatives like yourself helping them.
