As one commentator said, Adidas and New Balance make better shoes than Nike, anyway. As many have noted, Nike does big business in China – and has much of the making of their product outsourced to Third World sweatshops. So it figures they’d cave to a coward and traitor like Kaepernick.

The Left’s hate-fest against America and the flag during the recent Independence Day (yes, I’m saying that, rather than their PC “Fourth of July” moniker) stands in stark contrast to the recent so-called “Pride Month.” I can guarantee you that the LGBTQ “community” that was parading their particular behaviors – and shoving their “flag” – in everybody’s faces all the last month, for the most part, have absolutely NO pride in America, whatsoever. (And that’s not counting that “Pride Month” falls not long after the Muslim “holiday” of Ramadan.)

I wrote this joke for the occasion of Debbie’s return. It’s an update on an older comic idea . . .

A tenured leftist professor holding the “distinguished” Karl Marx Chair of Economics at Harvard University is explaining to her class the “golden rule” that “from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs,” and that under an ideal socialist economy, there will be “free lunch” for all.

One of the students in the back of the class, however, raises her hand and tells the leftist professor that Milton Freedman, a Nobel Prize winner in economics, has advised that there is no such thing as a “free lunch.”

The leftist professor responds, “Well, yes, in Milton Freedman’s capitalist society, that places limits on human achievement and promotes inequality, there is no “free lunch,” but in the ideal socialist world that I’m speaking of, there is, indeed, “free lunch” for everyone!”

The student says, “Okay, if you say so. I’ll ask Milton Freedman when I get to Heaven to find out who is correct.”

And thank God for all the people who have obviously been checking in as I have, and are applauding Debbie’s return. Not the least of which is Mr. Adamo. Thank God for his return.

If I ever somehow stumbled into Mr. Adamo in an airport, bar, bus terminal, subway platform, pizza parlor, and after introductions, we realized we were both the guys from Debbie’s site, I might ask him if he had some time to hang. If he did, and we spent four hours hanging, I’m pretty sure I’d be doing no less than three hours and fifty minutes of listening.

Thank God this web site is active again. Debbie, when some more time passes and you have perhaps caught up on whatever might be backed up, I have a picture of the back of an instant coffee jar you may be interested in. It’s fodder for commentary, perhaps.

Sadly, Nike chose to make Kaepernick their point man for their 2018 marketing drive.

In the meantime, there is a black athlete struggling for sponsorship in a sport that has a history of discrimination against blacks: NASCAR

The driver’s name is Darrell Wallace Jr. better known as Bubba Wallace. He drives the iconic 43 for Richard Petty Motorsports. Wallace is an accomplished driver who won the NASCAR Truck race at Michigan International Speedway.

In the top level “Cup” series, Wallace has had to struggle in the middle of the pack for want of sponsorship.

Anyone who has read Wendell Scott’s story knows how he struggled mightily against racial bias in NASCAR during the 1960’s and 1970’s.

Apparently, corporate America can make meaningless gestures toward a retired football player, but cannot bring meaningful sponsorship for a viable black athlete currently competing in a major sport.

What’s wrong with this picture!
