When I was a very little kid, my late father wasn’t exactly a fan of “Sesame Street,” which he thought was loud and obnoxious and for kids without intelligence, parents, and/or intelligent parents. And I agree on that to this day. But my mother had me watch, and I hated it. I thought it was stupid and for idiots (and that’s pretty much the type of kids at which it’s aimed). As I’ve noted on this site previously, there were only two cool characters on that show that I liked, “The Count” a/k/a “Count von Count,” and “Bad Bart” (who barely made an appearance and was quickly dropped). The Count was voiced by Jerry Nelson, who died Thursday.

Nelson voiced many other muppet characters and was responsible for the marionette scene in the movie, “The Sound of Music.” I don’t know his politics (and that’s the way it should be) or care. But I know he was the only guy who made a really silly, highly overrated show for kids slightly bearable for me as a kid.

Since I’m Jewish and keep kosher, I’m prohibited from eating Spam by my religion. But even if I were not, you could not make me eat the stuff (unless it were the absolute last digestible source of food on earth). Sadly, many Americans who previously felt the same way are now eating it up because it’s all they can afford in this tough Obama economy. As a result, in the last three years of terrible economic conditions, Hormel’s earnings–largely because of Spam and cheap canned goods–have gone way up.

Hormel Foods Corp.’s fiscal third-quarter earnings rose 13%, led by strong growth in products like Spam canned pork and Mexican salsas, as sales volumes rose at each of the company’s divisions. Read the rest of this entry »

When Rodney King died, it was G-d’s little way of saying, “Clean-up on Aisle Six!” The guy was nothing but a drugged up criminal and all-around scumbag, as I’ve repeatedly detailed on this site. There was a reason police officers beat him: he was so hopped up on drugs, after a long police chase, King resisted arrest and was immune to a taser. And for his “trouble,” police officers were thrown in jail and King made mega-millions which he immediately spent (on dumb things like a hip-hop label) and then committed other crimes, including drunk driving, wife-beating, and hit-and-runs. (An extensive laundry list of Rodney King’s “contributions to America” is here.) He became a reality show star, made more money, and was a fixture in Al Sharpton’s race-baiting theatrics. Plus, he inspired race riots in which South Central Los Angeles residents looted businesses of innocent people and beat senseless innocent Whites, like trucker Reginald Denny. And, so, it should come as no surprise to anyone with a clue, that the report by the coroner investigating Rodney King’s death found that the lowlife had all kinds of illegal drugs (and alcohol) in his system.

Rodney King was under the influence of SEVERAL substances at the time of his death — including alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, and PCP — this according to Rodney’s death report.

According to the report, the cause of death is listed as accidental drowning — but the drugs were contributing factors.

The PCP is interesting because there was a theory around the time of the 1991 beating that Rodney displayed super-human strength because he was on PCP at the time. However, blood tests for the drug turned up negative. . . . Read the rest of this entry »

When I saw the story, last week, that the Muslim emirate of Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund was buying into ownership of the UK’s major airports, I was reminded of President Bush’s attempt to quietly transfer control of America’s major ports to Dubai’s sovereign wealth fund. Fortunately, outrage ensued and President Bush was forced to cancel the deal, despite loud defenders in Rush Limbaugh and other misguided conservatives (who supported it for ridiculous partisan reasons–to oppose Democrats and unions and stand up for that fool, George W. Bush).

On the other hand, my view is that most of England is already bought up and controlled by Muslims. Federal Air Marshals I know tell me that they wonder how safe flights from Heathrow are when they see that many of the employees and a good deal of the passengers there are devout Muslims in full faux-modesty regalia. The deal, in which Qatar bought 20% of BAA–the company that runs Heathrow, Europe’s busiest airport, as well as other major UK airports–is scary, but only a little more scary than any of the other deals in which a Saudi Prince, Al-Waleed Bin Talal–controls a good deal of a large bank, Citi, and so on. The security at Heathrow is already lax, as a number of those with terrorist ties are regularly allowed to fly from the airport to various points elsewhere, and Muslims run the show there. What’s frightening is that Qataris in control will have access to information regarding what little airport security there is and how to get around it. As I’ve noted before, Air Marshals tell me that often airlines refuse to inform the TSA of passenger manifests until U.S.-bound planes are in mid-air. That’s already the case. Don’t expect that to change under Qatari rule of Heathrow.

In any event, it’s not a good thing. We know that the Gulf States made it easier for Al-Qaeda’s hijackers to carry out the 9/11 attacks. And Qatar is home to Al-Jazeera, where the Qatari royal family finances propaganda for anti-Western Islamic terrorists to the Muslim world. Turning over the West’s infrastructure and safety and security to this nation is a giant misstep, one of many that will lead to the end of the West and Western freedoms in future generations. The sale is simply jihad by firesale.

Remember when faux-conservative Boston Globe columnist Jeff Jacoby lectured us about how Muslims’ adherence to modesty is greater than that of any other religion and greater than American national security needs with regard to Islamic terrorists seeking to murder us? Well, here’s the gazillionth example of Islamic modesty: Jordanian Paralympic Team members were charged with sexually assaulting several girls in Ireland, where they are training. Remember, two of these guys are in wheelchairs, and yet, they still found a way to assault and molest “infidel” girls. I know, I know–all those stories about Islamic attitudes are just Islamophobia, right? Memo to the world: a phobia is an unreasonable fear or hatred. Um, there are plenty of reasons. And this is just a drop in the massive bucket.

The king of Jordan is taking a personal interest in the case of three members of his country’s Paralympic team accused of sex offences during pre-Games training in Northern Ireland, a court heard today. . . .

Two wheelchair-using power-lifters – one a bronze medal winner at the Beijing Games – and a trainer have been accused of a series of charges, including sexual assault and voyeurism, following complaints by two girls and two women in Antrim. . . .

Power lifter Omar Sami Qaradhi, 31, lives in Barbados. He faces three charges of sexual assault, two against a child, and one of voyeurism after allegedly entering a women’s changing room at the Antrim Forum leisure centre.

Police said he was identified by a girl aged 14 who claimed that on August 18 she posed for photos with him before he groped her between the legs in Antrim town centre. Read the rest of this entry »

Despite the conventional wisdom, I’ve never ever thought Taylor Swift was a good role model for girls. . . unless you want your daughter to become an alpha female stalker. And wantonly sleeping around with much older men. And that’s aside from her dreadful and dreadfully overrated (and extremely boring) music. I’m not just talking about recent rumors that she spent $5 million on a Kennedy compound house so she would be near the 18-year-old Kennedy she’s “dating” (euphemism). Or the reports that she crashed a Kennedy wedding, which she was asked to leave (but refused).

Over the years, several readers have written to me about what a “wholesome” role model Swift is, contrary to the many pop music skanks I write about. And I’ve had male friends of mine tell me they were relieved when their daughters were fans of her music. One said, “Well, at least my girls don’t idolize the Kardashians.” Thank Heaven for small favors. But I disagreed, as Swift ain’t much better. As I told some of these people, Swift is a psychotic stalker and teaches young girls to whine endlessly about break-ups and publicly embarrass the guys who dumped her after she probably was easily lulled into sleeping with them. None of this is a good example for America’s girls. It’s just low-class . . . and creepy. And, yet, American girls see Swift’s nutjob behavior rewarded with lucrative, glamorous deals, such as her contract with “Cover Girl” cosmetics, etc.

Taylor Swift writes songs to publicly embarrass men that dumped her. Much older men that dumped her. Much older men who talk about sex with the girls they date and with whom Taylor Swift was probably not an exception. Swift once “dated” (euphemism) John Mayer (who at 34 is 12 years older than her–she is now 22). She was a teen then. And when he dumped her, she wrote a song about–and against–him. This is a guy who discussed, in graphic detail, sex he’s had with his celebrity girlfriends (he called Jessica Simpson, “sexual napalm”). Most people assume that Swift probably had sex with him, too, especially since she wrote a whiny song attacking him. And Swift dated movie star Jake Gyllenhaal, now 31. I’ve read several Arab media attacks on Paul Ryan because he’s said his biggest influence was libertarian author Ayn Rand and her book, “Atlas Shrugged.” Their ire is not because of Rand (nee Rosenbaum’s) unflinching support for free market capitalism. It’s that Ayn Rand was proudly pro-Israel, even though she eschewed Judaism and her birth into a Jewish family. Echoing their rage about this is the crowd of self-hating, anti-Israel JINOs (Jews In Name Only) at organizations such as J Street and MondoWeiss. Check this out from MondoWeiss’ Philip Weiss, a guy who–if this was 1941 Auschwitz–would be wearing the badge, “Uber Kapo” and happily pushing us into the ovens even without the lure of an extra cup of potato gruel. And, as you read those, know that Paul Ryan probably has no idea Ayn Rand ever said any of these things (but I hope he finds out and agrees with her).

Oh and here’s something about Ryan’s intellectual idol, Ayn Rand. She said Arabs were savages and culturally undeveloped.

Readers who’ve been following the story I broke about the employment discrimination lawsuit against Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano, brought by New York Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Special Agent in Charge James T. Hayes, have likely read about affidavits regarding sexual harassment by Napolitano’s hand-picked ICE Chief of Staff, Suzanne Barr a/k/a Suzy “Stripper Pole” Barr, who is now on leave. But only DebbieSchlussel.com has the affidavits, and I’m posting them here, today, for your reading pleasure. Read Affidavit A. Read Affidavit B. There are other affidavits and lawsuits to come (I am the attorney for several ICE agents who have employment discrimination claims against ICE and am available for hire). Also, here’s a letter from a supervisor in ICE’s Office of Diversity and Civil Rights to the attorney of another male ICE agent who has apparently filed an administrative complaint alleging anti-male discrimination in favor of female agents by a female supervisor at ICE. One of these affidavits, Affidavit B, claims that ICE New Orleans Special Agent in Charge Ray Parmer sexted to Barr, “I want to eat the corn out of your sh-t.” ICK. Who talks like that? It sounds like Dan Rather talking dirty with one of his silly cornpone countryisms mixed with the uber-nasty. And who in a position of power puts something like that in writing on an electronic device where it can be captured for later use? Anyone can say anything in an affidavit, and it may not be true, but it’s pretty specific language. As I’ve previously noted, the affidavits–from two different individuals–make allegations that Suzy Barr asked about male agents’ penises and expressed her desire to give oral sex. (You know what they say about fat chicks. And this is a fat chick drunk on power.)

Check out the ICE Anti-Fraternization Policy regarding “Romantic or Sexual Relationships between ICE Supervisors and Their Subordinates, written by ICE Director John “Moron” Morton and date-stamped June 6, 2011. It clearly prohibits Barr’s behavior. And yet a good deal of that behavior was conducted in front of and/or with the clear knowledge of Morton, himself. The first affidavit says he was in on Agent Parmer’s impersonation of another ICE official in the sexting incident (and if that really happened, Parmer should probably be fired for sexting on an Homeland Security apparatus and for impersonation of a federal official). Morton wrote in his policy:

Romantic or sexual relationships between ICE supervisors and their subordinate employees, to include those employees who they directly supervise or who fall directly within their chain of command, are contrary to a productive and efficient workplace. Supervisors must avoid the appearance of conflict between their professional responsibilities and any involvement that they may have in romantic or sexual relationships with subordinate employees. In order to avoid complaints of favoritism, loss of objectivity, abuse of authority, sexual harassment, hostile work environment, or gender based discrimination, supervisors should avoid situations that give rise to a conflict of interest or appearance of a conflict of interest. The very nature of these personal relationships in the workplace creates the potential for many foreseeable problems and workplace complications. Read the rest of this entry »

I’ve said nothing thus far about the avalanche of attacks on Rep. Todd Akin, the Missouri GOP U.S. Senate candidate who made some really stupid televised comments about rape and abortion on Sunday. That’s because I despise group think and group thinkers, whether on the left OR the right. And I’m tired of hearing the avalanche of shrieks from the self-anointed elites on the right attacking Akin and demanding he resign his nomination and give up because “we must win the U.S. Senate at all cost.” I find it disgusting. The guy misspoke. He said some very moronic things. He apologized. Move on. He won the primary fair and square. And what would have been a one day story is now a week-long or more of hype because self-appointed schmucks and autocrats on the right know better than the people of Missouri who voted for this guy in the Republican Primary. These are the same people who constantly attack Barack Obama for throwing people under the bus. Well, meet the stop-for-no-one bus drivers of the right. Today, they’re running Akin over. Tomorrow, it will be you, especially if you have a penis.

And those calling for him to pull out are many of the same elites who gave verbal Lewinskys to Christine “I’m Not a Witch” O’Donnell in 2010 who made one dumbass comment after another, who didn’t seem to know elementary school basics about the Bill of Rights, the Constitution, and was just an all-around airhead. But she was a chick and she was endorsed by Sarah Palin. So, many of those people–the self-anointed electors, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, National Review, Red State, and Michelle “I Am a Woman of Color!” Malkin–embraced and defended that idiotette no matter what. And they lost. O’Donnell was trounced by the Democrat. But they stuck with that fool because she had a vagina. Let’s be honest about that. They attacked common sense Republican strategists who rightly pointed out that this woman was a moron, no matter how conservative she was. Fraudkin had dumb “Women Can Do It’ pics of Rosie the Riveter all over her site and her twitter account (I guess she doesn’t realize that the Rosie the Riveter chicks worked in the factories only because the men were doing the real work: ya know, fighting that tiny battle, called World War II.)

My favorite “attack” on Akin is Fraudkin’s blatantly sexist use of it to attack Republican men and state that only the women know how to speak. Here’s what the plagiarist said (something that she could have easily cribbed from the mouths of Gloria Steinem and Eleanor Smeal):

If only we conservative women had magical ways of preventing stupid Repub men from implanting rhetorical IEDs on our lawns…

HUH?

Yup, not spoken by Steinem or Martha Burk. But by Michelle Malkin. Um, sexist much? Trust me, Fraudkin’s “magical way” was snipping off her male wife’s testicles (if he ever had any, which is doubtful) and making him give up his career in 2004 to become Mr. Mom. She is a feminist. And this is the story BS feminists spout, whether they call themselves “conservative” or liberal.
