Whether the economy is good or bad, $900,000 is a pretty nice chunk of change for the average American .  .  . especially as a golden parachute for quitting a job running a public school district after conflicts with employees and others.  But that’s what happened with Philadelphia Public Schools Superintendent Arlene Ackerman.  Nice work, er pay for quitting work . . . if you can get it.

The death toll from last week’s Islamic terrorist attacks near Eilat, Israel is now  up to 9, with many dozens more seriously injured.  Yet, Israel–yes, Binyamin Netanyahu’s Israel–apologized to Egypt for defending itself.  Now, it turns out that three of the Islamic terrorists who perpetrated the attack are not Palestinians but Egyptians. And they were aided not only by Bedouin Arabs in the Sinai, but also by Egyptian Army soldiers who noticed them and did nothing.  Oh, and it turns out that Israel didn’t “deliberately” attack any Egyptians when it responded to the attack. Yup, the apology was not only boneheaded, but it was premature articulation. And, per usual, it is a sign of weakness to Muslims who laugh and laugh and laugh at it.

The IDF did everything in its power to prevent Egyptian troops from getting hurt in last Thursday’s multiple terror attacks near Eilat, inquiries conducted by both the IDF and the Egyptian army showed. This week, there is much ado about the newly unveiled Martin Luther King, Jr. monument on the Washington Mall.  But, to me, the statue and what it stands for apparently taught a far too large number of people that their racism–racism against non-Blacks–is okay.  Last night, I saw, yet again, the real racism in America that is growing and intensifying, because guilty White liberals enable it.  If you play the race card, YOU are the real racist.  And you are no different than a criminal who frames an innocent person in a crime.  No different.

How do you fight off humiliating, false accusations of racism? How do you disprove the negative–something that never happened? Those are the questions I faced last night when I was the victim of absolutely false accusations by race-card players, a Black couple who probably do this often. The lying race merchants wouldn’t stop talking, and after I complained to the studio representatives (after politely and unsuccessfully asking them to be quiet several times), they told the studio rep that I made racist comments to them. I’m not surprised that a novel by one of Israel’s most anti-Israel propagandists is on Barack Hussein Obama’s Martha’s Vineyard vacation reading list.  Obama hates Israel, so why not read the “work” of an anti-Israel Israeli–a modern-day kapo who hates Israel as much as he does–to back it up?

David Grossman’s “The Yellow Wind” is one of the most viciously, lie-filled anti-Israel novels there is.  The rest of his writing is similar.  Grossman might as well be collecting a paycheck from HAMAS or the Bin Laden family.  He writes so they don’t have to.  And now his latest book is on Obama’s reading list, which includes–shocker–nothing on great American leaders in history or the greatness of America . . . probably because he’s neither interested in great American leaders nor does he think we are a great country (and we are slightly less great thanks to him). It’s no surprise that one of his books is about Blacks and their integration into American society. Clearly, he’s obsessed with the issue and isn’t “post-racial” at all.

I’m more than a little suspicious of the two 20-something Adrian, Michigan men who got burns from explosives in the cab of their truck and lied to police about it. The men claimed that someone threw an explosive into the cab of their truck while they were driving and it blew up.  But witnesses said no such thing happened, and that in fact, the men had mortars which they ran into a field to drop.  K-9 units found the explosives in a field.

I believe the witnesses. It’s nearly impossible to threw an explosive from one moving vehicle into another and have it go off at just the right time.  That only happens in the movies, not in real life.  More than likely, these two men were in possession of illegal explosives and up to no good, and it backfired on them.  Their names aren’t being released.  And I’d like to know if their names are Mohammed and Ahmed or something similar.  Perhaps not. But it’s not your average everyday Michigan 20-somethings that are experimenting with explosives in their truck while driving.  No, that’s generally the work of committed people with evil motives and a plot that can only end in tragedy. There is a reason why, when we hear these stories, we usually suspect Muslims and more often than not, they are involved. It’s because no other religion is committed to jihad against the West. No other. I doubt this had anything to do with benign fireworks.  So what was really going on here?

This is absurd. Of all the buildings and sites in Virginia that deserve “historical marker” status, the last one I can think of is a parking garage.  Sadly, they’ve dumbed down history in Virginia .  .  . and everywhere else in America.  How else can you explain an Arlington historic preservation agency’s designation of a parking structure as a historical monument, merely because it was where Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward met his Watergate source, Deep Throat a/k/a W. Mark Felt, Sr.?

It’s truly a sign of America’s ever increasing mediocrity that we pick mediocre things and places, including the Rosslyn, Virginia parking lot, upon which to bestow honors.  And this takes the cake.  It’s the equivalent of posting a historical marker on the square of the sidewalk where young Barry Obama dropped the vial of coke and decided not to do drugs again.  It’s just not important, nor is it history, even in the most elastic use of the word. After Egypt let Palestinian Muslim terrorists use the Sinai as a base of attack, Israel, over the weekend, did the uber-boneheaded thing and apologized to the Egyptians for accidentally killing five Egyptian “police officers” in targeted missile strikes directed at the terrorists who planned the attacks.  HUH?  Yup, it’s right out of the Obama playbook.  You never apologize for defending your country and your people.  But Israel did it.  Don’t forget that this Egyptian regime, to whom Binyamin Netanyahu apologized, is the same Egyptian regime which re-united HAMAS and Fatah.

And what will the apology get the Israelis?  Nothin’ (other than snickers).  In fact, the Egyptians won’t be nicer and are already saying the apology is “not enough.”  Egypt won’t stop more HAMAS and Fatah and Al-Qaeda terrorists from attacking Israel from the Sinai and entering Gaza from the Rafah gate. Nothing will get better.  It will only get worse.  And it has gotten worse.  HAMAS has been sending rockets over Israel non-stop, and after murdering people, has a temporary “cease-fire” . . . or as they call it in Islam, “relock and reload.”  The cease-fire didn’t last long though as new Kassam rockets have already been shot at Israel.  Among those killed by HAMAS rockets over the weekend was Yossi Shooshan, from a Sephardic Jewish family forced to flee Muslim lands to avoid this Muslim Judenrein.  But you cannot avoid it anywhere anymore.  Shooshan left a pregnant wife.

As we get closer to the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 massacre of 3,000 Americans by Muslims, there has been a flurry of Muslim hate crime hoaxes, with Muslims fabricating “anti-Muslim” crimes in order to take the attention off of their religion.  And, in one of the hoaxes, a New Jersey Muslim man originally from Pakistan, Kashif Parvaiz, used the opportunity to murder his 27-year-old wife, Nazish Noorani, blame it on “prejudiced Black men” (and a “prejudiced White man”) and claim these non-existent assailants “did it because of Ramadan.”  In reality, he did it because of his affair with an extra-marital girlfriend.  Disregard NBC “Weekend Today” anchor Amy Roebuck’s comment that “you won’t believe who did it.”  Actually, I not only believe it, but don’t find it all that remarkable.  It’s par for the course in this so-called “Religion of Peace.”

It’s mid-August, the pet cemetery to which Hollywood studios send all of the worst movies to die a quick death.  So, it’s no surprise that the best new movies, this weekend, are a remake of an ’80s vampire flick and a French action thriller arthouse movie.  “Spy Kids:  All the Time in the World in 4D” was not screened for critics.

“Conan the Barbarian“:  Absolutely awful.  Arnold Schwarzenegger doesn’t have much to worry about with regard to Jason Momoa (best known for his role on “Baywatch Hawaii”) replacing him as undefeated Conan.  This movie was long, boring, pointless, confusing, stupid, and extremely bloody and violent for no reason. A more apt title is “Pirates of the I Don’t Care-ibbean,” since it has scenes with pirates and water.  I so badly wanted to walk out on this movie throughout, but had to stay in order to review it.  1.5 hours of life I’ll never get back.  Thanks, Hollywood.
