Remember the story, earlier this week, hailing Muslim New York convenience store and deli owner Mohammad Sohail for being so nice to a robber, after foiling the robbery–giving him money and food and getting him to inquire about converting to Islam?
With CAIR and the rest of Islamic America overhyping this story, how could you miss it?
But, in fact, Mr. Sohail is not the “hero” the media and Muslim propaganda pimps made him out to be.
Here’s the follow-up story that strangely isn’t getting quite the attention the “hero” story got. You know–wouldn’t want to burst the fake balloon of a Muslim-American hero.

Sohail Mohammad: Muslim “Hero” and Bong Salesman

Authorities had warned Shirley deli owner Mohammad Sohail about his alleged illegal sale of drug paraphernalia several times before raiding his store Tuesday, officials said in a news conference Thursday.
Sohail is among the owners of seven Huntington and Brookhaven shop owners who face civil penalties for allegedly selling illegal pipes, bongs and hookahs. The raid on Sohail’s business came at the end of a day when national media reports hailed the deli owner for showing mercy on a would-be robber, an act captured in a surveillance video.
Sohail is due in court later this month and faces a penalty of up to $30,000, Brookhaven Supervisor Mark Lesko said.
While the sale of pipes and bongs is legal, it becomes illegal when the store owner knowingly sells the items for the use of drugs, officials said. Undercover investigators bought items from Sohail, and the other store owners, after making clear that they would use them for drug use, said Lesko and Suffolk District Attorney Thomas Spota.
“Maybe that was a nice thing to do at the time,” said Legis. Kate Browning (WF-Shirley), who represents the area, referring to Sohail giving $40 and a loaf of bread to the would-be robber. “But I know who he is, I know what he was doing. No sympathy for him.”
When asked late Wednesday night at his store to comment on the charges, Sohail said, “I threw everything in the garbage. I don’t want it anymore.”

Sure he did. Alhamdillullah [Praise allah] for this “hero” of the “Religion of Peace” who sells drug paraphernalia.
Kudos to Kate Browning for speaking out about this guy. She says that the only reason this “Muslim hero” was nice to the robber and didn’t press charges was that he knew that the cops would come to his store and find the illicit merchandise that he was still selling after being raided and warned.
If I were her, I’d get prepared for the Muslims and lefties who will be gunning for her at the next election.
Oh, wait, they’d never “gun” for anyone. After all, it’s the “Religion of Peace.”
Far left blog The Daily Kos called Mohammad, “An American We Can All Learn From.” Uh-huh. Learn from him how? By selling bongs to the infidel Americans?
Like I said, it’s funny how all of the Mainstream Media who were hyping Mohammad’s “heroism” are now strangely silent on his drug bust.
Ditto for the CAIR e-mails. Bet they also remain silent on this latest development in the Sohail Mohammad story.
The lesson here: whenever you hear one of these much-hyped mainstream media “Muslim hero” stories, know there’s always a back story–the real story–that’s not quite so heroic.

So, I’ve read the entire, way too long Obama apologist speech to Islam made in Cairo earlier today. The whole thing is, as you’ve heard, a disgusting, unfactual, incorrect hour of verbal fertilizer.
It’s so long that I don’t have time to go into all of it now and will have to post a longer entry later on parts of it, later on.
But I just want to point out one thing that Obama kept stressing and praising: Al-Azhar University, the place from which he dared deliver this bull excrement speech. He praised Al-Azhar more than once, including this utterance a the beginning of his speech:

For over a thousand years, Al-Azhar has stood as a beacon of Islamic learning; and for over a century, Cairo University has been a source of Egypt’s advancement.

And, then, this:

As a student of history, I also know civilization’s debt to Islam. It was Islam – at places like Al-Azhar – that carried the light of learning through so many centuries, paving the way for Europe’s Renaissance and Enlightenment.

Are you frickin’ kiddin’ me? We owe a debt to Islam for extremist hotbeds of Islam teaching hate? And this somehow in someone’s very creative mythology paved the way for the Enlightenment? Hilarious. I wonder what all the Christian and Jewish thinkers who actually did pave the way for that think about this complete lie? I can hear them doing 360s in their graves.
I found his statements about this known extremist hotbed and source of blatant, virulent anti-Semitism–not to mention his presence there–to be completely disgusting.
It’s like speaking to a group of Klansman and praising the contributions to the world of David Duke University. Or telling neo-Nazis that Hitler U is a great place and we highly respect it. I wonder how Obama would feel if a White Western leader gave a speech at “We Hate Ni–ers University.” That’s essentially what happened today, and believe me, they call the Jews their equivalent of the N-word, on a regular basis, there.
And Obama and his staff know all of that. It ain’t a secret. It’s well known that Al-Azhar is the source of much of the extremist Sunni Muslim religious thought in the entire Muslim world. It’s known that they openly teach at this school that Jews are subhuman and must be wiped off the earth. It’s also known that the Muslim Brotherhood–from which Al-Qaeda and HAMAS both emanated–uses the place as its home base to recruit terrorists. Heck, it might as well be called Brotherhood U.
Muhammad Sayyid Al-Tantawi, the Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar, is notorious for his anti-Semitic statements and teachings. Read more about Al-Azhar from Andrew Bostom’s op-ed column in last week’s New York Daily News.
So why the heck would an American President praise this place? Only if he’s a) a complete moron, b) a complete a–hole, or c) both. I vote “c.”
Also of note, complete ignoramus and soft-on-Islam clueless vessel Ed Morrissey of Hot Air (a pimp for pan-Muslim Grover Norquist) declared the speech “Surprisingly Good.” Figures, cuz’ again, he’s about as ignorant as Obama, minus the panache. And, predictably, CAIR loved the speech, too. That Hot Air and CAIR have the same feelings on the Obama speech and both loved it, should tell ya something.
And not about CAIR. They actually know what they’re doing.

I feel for the Chrysler dealers who were told by Chrysler that they can no longer be in business as Chrysler dealers. It doesn’t make sense, as the dealers cost Chrysler no money. And Chrysler’s claim that there’s “too much competition” and that they don’t have enough inventory, smacks of unfair restraint of trade. Competition is good for the consumer, and less of it means higher prices.
Still, that’s business in America. It happens all the time. Businesses go bankrupt and their bankruptcies cancel all prior agreements and contractual obligations. That’s life. And business is business. Any business knows that, with a bankruptcy filing by another business upon which it depends, that business will die. It’s happened over the years to many other business owners who didn’t diversify and take measures to survive if their symbiotic relationship with another business ends. Chrysler dealers aren’t the first, and they won’t be the last.

But the biggest outrage in all of this is an absurd letter by Chrysler dealer Marvin Tamaroff, whose suburban Detroit dealership was ordered closed. Tamaroff compares the closing of his dealership under bankruptcy proceedings to “Kristallnacht,” November 9-10, 1938.

It is like “Crystal Night” in Nazi Germany in 1938, but instead of the Nazis seizing “private property” without due process of law and compensation, Chrysler and President Obama are using the
power of a Federal Bankruptcy Judge to trample and run roughshod over the rights of 789 Dodge/Chrysler Dealers.

That’s nauseating. On Kristallnacht (or in English, “Crystal Night”), tens of thousands of Jews were hauled off to death camps, gassed, and never heard from again. The businesses that were vandalized and destroyed by the Nazis–their glass windows broken, their merchandise plundered, and contents set on fire–had this done for the sole reason that the businesses were owned by Jews. Kristallnacht was the official beginning of the Holocaust, during which Six Million Jews were murdered and many others tortured and hobbled for life.
Most of my family–on both sides–was wiped out in the Holocaust, sent to their deaths in the camps or shot on sight. But I doubt a single person will cook in the ovens or be thrown into a mass grave over the closing of several hundred Chrysler dealerships.
A very wealthy dealer losing his dealership–NOT because he is Jewish–is hardly the same thing. Not even close. Moreover, while Tamaroff whines in his letter that he is losing his business, his federal campaign contributions list his occupation as “retired.” Did he lie then? Or is he lying now? Tamaroff also doesn’t note in his letter that he’s a multi-millionaire with many foreign and other domestic brand dealerships all over the greater suburban Detroit area. I shed no tears for him.
And he doesn’t tell you in his letter that he regularly donates free cars for auction to the anti-American, anti-Israel, pan-terrorist Detroit Public Television so it can stay on the air.
Full disclosure: Tamaroff’s sleazy failed former trial lawyer, pro-choice liberal Democrat Marc Shulman, was my opponent when he ran for the Michigan House of Representatives (and pretended to be a conservative Republican) in 1998. But Shulman’s election proved only to highlight the greediness of Tamaroff and other dealerships. They got Shulman to introduce and pimp legislation requiring a fee of $200 plus to all car dealers when a prospective car purchaser fills out applications. The legislation only failed after I and some friends anonymously got a dimwitted Detroit Free Press columnist to write about it and expose Shulman’s relationship with Tamaroff.
When you get greedy like that, what goes around comes around. And karma’s a bitch.
So, I feel no tears for Marvin Tamaroff, this multi-millionaire whiner with no sense of dignity. Anyone who has the chutzpah to compare the predictable results of a voluntary bankruptcy in the 2009 United States of America to the Nazis, in 1938, seizing hundreds of thousands of Jews and sending them to their deaths, deserves to go out of business.
Buh-bye. And good riddance.
It’s beyond sad that Marvin Tamaroff–who in his 80s has lived a full, good life, and at the end of the day, goes home to his great life and gazillions and lives in freedom–cannot distinguish between that and someone who was dragged to the ovens of Auschwitz at age 12 to be completely snuffed out because he or she was a Jew.
Even more sad: that no one in the Jewish Community has the guts to denounce Tamaroff’s ludicrous and perverse comparison. But the Tamaroffs are liberals and big donors to Jewish causes. And the “principled” activists in my community know on which side their matzoh is buttered.

Yesterday, I told you about Barack Hussein Obama’s lie that America is a “Muslim nation.” I told you about the real figures, according to the liberal Pew Center, which says that Muslims number no more than 0.6% of the U.S. population or about 1.8 million.
Later yesterday, the Telegraph of the UK cited me on this:

Debbie Schlussel cites a reputable survey by Pew that puts the number of Muslims in the US at 1.8 million. This would make it the 48th biggest Muslim country, after the above list plus France, Libya, Jordan, Israel, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Kyrgyzstan, Mauritania, Germany, Kuwait, Oman, Eritrea, Lebanon and Serbia and Montenegro – and just above Britain, which would be the 50th.

Remember when Muslims sent their resumes in bulk to the Obama White House? They didn’t need to, since they’re already there in big ranks. And the White House wants you and the Muslim world to know.
I’ll get to the Obama pandering speech to Muslims in Cairo (made earlier this morning), later.
But first, FYI, instead of posting the Obama speech, front and center on the White House site, the Obama Administration posted this video of “Muslim Americans Serving in the U.S. Government.” It’s simply sickening. Do you ever see the White House producing and promoting pandering videos about Christians proudly serving in the U.S. government? Jews? Zoroastrians? Wiccans? Hari Krishnas? Clearly, the Obamaniks are promoting a certain religion.

And get the quotes from this video, made not for us Americans, but for the Muslims on the Arab Street in HD Technipander.
Lema Bashir, a Palestinian Muslim trial attorney for the voting rights section of the Civil Rights division in the Justice Department. (Well, now we know why Muslim voter fraud in Dearbornistan is allowed to continue.)
Bashir tells us her father was born in “Northern Palestine.” What the heck is “Northern Palestine”? There is no such thing in Gaza or the so-called “West Bank.” There’s only a Northern Israel, which is where her father was born, inside the Green Zone. Since the Obama administration left that in the video, they’re apparently letting us and the Muslim world know that they accept and buy into Palestinian claims that ALL of Israel is “Palestine.”
Then, there’s a revealing quote from Afeefa Syeed, a Muslim and Senior Advisor for Culture and Development with the Middle East and Asia Bureaus of USAID (the U.S. Agency for International Development). (Well, now we know why USAID money continues to go, courtesy of the American taxpayer, to Hezbollah and HAMAS.)

The ideals that we hold as American Muslims are not that different from what they–from what Muslims around the world also hold.

Yes, finally, they admit what I’ve been saying and what contradicts their propaganda–i.e., that Muslims in America are not moderate, are no more reasonable and civil and less violent and extreme than their co-religionists around the rest of the world. The ones in America want to see this country on its knees (and all Jews and Christians dead) just as badly as the Muslims around the world.
Like I said, this video wasn’t made for Americans. It was made as a message to Muslims everywhere else, to tell them,

America’s White House and its President agree with you on “Northern Palestine” and that all of Israel is “Palestine.” America’s President sides with the Muslim ideals around the world.

Wake the heck up, America!
**** UPDATE: Just realized I forgot to mention an important detail. The White House use of taxpayer funds to promote Islam is a clear violation of the Constitutional separation between church and state. The Establishment Clause clearly prohibits the use of federal dollars to promote religion, including and especially a specific religion.
But, hey, as I always note, America has no separation between mosque and state. Only church and state. That’s how it’s enforced, anyway, by our “Justice” Department.

Perhaps I should have titled this entry, “Religion of Peace and Slavery,” since we all know that slavery has been practiced by Islam and its adherents from the beginning of their religion to date.
We’ve all read the cases of Muslims in America who keep and abuse slaves. Charming slave masters (and rapists) like Denver’s Homaidan Al-Turki, after whose conviction the Colorado Attorney General flew to Saudi Arabia to apologize to the Saudi royals.
In case you don’t know, as I’ve frequently pointed out on this site, the Muslim and Arabic term for a Black person is “abed” or the plural “abeed”–slave or slaves. We all know who engaged in the slave trade, kidnapping Blacks and selling them into slavery.

Well, old habits–especially centuries old habits–die hard. In case you can’t tell from the mostly obvious Muslim names of the 12 indictees in this case, you should keep in mind that Uzbekistan is a Muslim nation. Also keep in mind that there are tons of these Uzbek illegal alien slavery rings all over the U.S. particularly in urban New York. This is the one giant ring they went after. Plenty more where that came from, er . . . the religion where that came from.

Federal prosecutors say 12 people and three companies were involved in a scheme to lure illegal immigrants to the United States to work as “modern-day slaves” in 14 states. Prosecutors said many of the immigrants worked at businesses in the Kansas City area and in Branson.
Federal officials announced Wednesday that a federal grand jury in Kansas City issued a 45-count indictment against the 12 defendants that included labor racketeering, forced labor trafficking and immigration violations.
Prosecutors say the defendants used false information to get fake work visas for the foreign workers. Once in the United States, investigators said, many of the workers were threatened with deportation and forced to live in substandard apartments while working for inadequate pay.
The indictment says the conspiracy involved fraudulent labor leasing contracts in Missouri, Kansas, Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, South Carolina and Wyoming. . . .
Matt Whitworth, acting U.S. attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced Wednesday, . . . “Many of their employees were allegedly victims of human trafficking who were coerced to work in violation of the terms of their visa without proper pay and under the threat of deportation. The defendants also required them to reside together in crowded, substandard and overpriced apartments.”
Many of those workers, added Whitworth, were employed at hotels in the Kansas City area and in Branson, Mo.

Oh, yeah–you know, doing the work Americans “just won’t do”?

“The indictment alleges that this criminal enterprise lured victims to the United States under the guise of legitimate jobs and a better life, only to treat them as modern-day slaves under the threat of deportation,” said James Gibbons, acting special agent-in-charge, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. “The alleged conspiracy not only victimized foreign workers, but also defrauded U.S. businesses and displaced legal workers in the name of profit.” . . .
Abrorkhodja Askarkhodjaev, 30, Nodir Yunusov, 22, Rustamjon Shukurov, 21, citizens of Uzbekistan residing in Mission, Kan., Ilkham Fazilov, 44, Nodirbek Abdoollayev, 27, both citizens of Uzbekistan residing in Kansas City, Mo., Viorel Simon, 27, Alexandru Frumasache , 23, both citizens of Moldova residing in Kansas City, Kan., Kristin Dougherty, 49, of Ellisville, Mo., Andrew Cole, 53, of St. Charles, Mo., Abdukakhar Azizkhodjaev, 49, a citizen of Uzbekistan residing in Panama City, Fla., and Sandjar Agzamov, 27, and Jakhongir Kakhkharov, 29, both citizens of Uzbekistan who recently left the United States and are living abroad, as well as three companies owned or controlled by Askarkhodjaev – Giant Labor Solutions, headquartered in Kansas City, Mo., Crystal Management, headquartered in Mission, Kan., and Five Star Cleaning, headquartered in Overland Park, Kan. – were charged in a 45-count indictment returned under seal by a federal grand jury in Kansas City on May 6, 2009. That indictment was unsealed and made public upon the arrests and initial court appearances of eight defendants on Tuesday: Askarkhodjaev, Fazilov, Abdoollayev, Simon, Frumasache, Dougherty, Cole and Azizkhodjaev.

Congrats to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents who worked on this case and investigated these guys. If only we had ICE agents going after the international Muslim marriage fraud ring in Detroit with such gusto. Sadly, ICE and its Michigan chief Brian Moskowitz a/k/a “Abu Moskowitz” have chosen to look the other way on that one.

Longtime readers know I own the URL/Domain Name, OprahSucks.com, and that I’m a frequent critic of HRHSBotU [Her Royal Highness, Supreme Being of the Universe] Oprah.
It’s not just her absurd pandering to Islam (to the point where the word was not mentioned in a show about the Beslan massacre) and her anti-Semitism (a show featured a woman who said Jews sacrifice their children and didn’t mention the woman was very mentally ill). Or that she hates straight men with a passion and advises parents to get their ten-year-old daughters vibrators. It’s her absurd advice and quackery on health and other issues. The woman is a nut, but, unfortunately, a nut who has the respect of the majority of America’s more emotional, dumber sex and many gay males (who are basically part of the dumber sex).

In Its Dying Days, Nooseweek Finally Takes on Oprah

On one show, for example, Oprah had on bizarre new age minister Marianne Williamson (whose show she runs on her XM station), during which Williamson told everyone to just tell AIDS to go away, imploring them that if they shout loud enough at AIDS, it will disappear. On another show, Williamson (a secular Jew turned Christian) told Oprah and the audience that menopausal women need to have an “inner Bat Mitzvah” to “love themselves” into old age. Um, a Bat Mitzvah is for 12-year-old Jewish girls, symbolizing their entry into adulthood and acceptance of the complete Jewish religion and its obligations, not an instance for new age health quackery by nutjobs on a daytime talk show.
But, until now, none of the mainstream media would take Oprah on and expose this kind of baloney. In fact, on the contrary, the mainstream media not only refused to expose her, they pandered to her with repeated gushing cover stories.
Now, however, Newsweek–the mainstream media magazine that is no longer relevant and is dying a slow death–has chosen, finally (after itself doing a gushing cover on Oprah), to take Oprah on. The cover photo and headlines say it all.
Now, Newsweek is learning that you can’t criticize HRHSBotU Oprah without being called, “racist!!!!” But the article isn’t racist at all. It’s spot on and doesn’t mention her race, which is frankly a factor in why she gets away with it all. Suburban White women–the majority of her audience–feel like they have a special, magical Black woman friend whose man-hating advice assuages their empty lives and, more importantly, the guilt they’ve been told to feel over their alleged “racism.”
Here’s a little taste, of the Newsweek piece, though I recommend you read the whole thing. It’s still a tad soft on Oprah and not nearly tough enough. But since it’s far more critical than the usual pan-Oprah drivel to which we’re treated, it’ll do. As you can see, it echoes much of what I’ve said repeatdly on this site about Oprah–i.e., that she’s the same as Jerry Springer, only she pretends it’s more highbrow and so does her lame, gullible audience. At least Jerry’s honest about what he does.

Oprah routinely grabs viewers with the sort of tales of the strange and absurd that might be found a few clicks over on Maury Povich or Jerry Springer: women who leave their husbands for other women (another recent Oprah episode); a 900-pound mom (ditto). But there is a difference. Oprah makes her audience feel virtuous for gaping at the misfortunes of others. What would be sniffed at as seamy on Maury is somehow praised as anthropology on Oprah. This is Oprah’s special brilliance. She is a gifted entertainer, but she makes it seem as though that is beside the point. Oprah is not here to amuse you, she is here to help you. To help you understand your feelings; drop those unwanted pounds; look and feel younger; get your thyroid under control; to smooth your thighs, nip and tuck your wrinkles, awaken your senses and achieve spiritual tranquillity so that you can at last be free to “Live Your Best Life.” . . .
Her empire is about to get bigger. Oprah has made a deal to launch her own cable television channel that will reach 70 million homes. It will be called, of course, the Oprah Winfrey Network and will include Oprah-approved programming on health and living well. In announcing the deal, Oprah said, “I will now have the opportunity to do this 24 hours a day on a platform that goes on forever.”
Oprah says things like this without irony. But really, how could it not go to her head, even a little? Her most ardent fans regard her as an oracle.

Not go to her head? PUH-LEEZE. The woman is the biggest egomaniac on the planet.

[T]he truth is, some of what Oprah promotes isn’t good, and a lot of the advice her guests dispense on the show is just bad. The Suzanne Somers episode [DS: spouting the wackiest of advice, which is detailed in the article; Somers also appears on Sean Hannity’s show, FYI] wasn’t an oddball occurrence. This kind of thing happens again and again on Oprah. Some of the many experts who cross her stage offer interesting and useful information (props to you, Dr. Oz). Others gush nonsense. Oprah, who holds up her guests as prophets, can’t seem to tell the difference. She has the power to summon the most learned authorities on any subject; who would refuse her? Instead, all too often Oprah winds up putting herself and her trusting audience in the hands of celebrity authors and pop-science artists pitching wonder cures and miracle treatments that are questionable or flat-out wrong, and sometimes dangerous. . . .
She declined to be interviewed for this article.

Gee, that last sentence is a real shocker. Not. Anyway, read the whole thing. It’s worth it, if you have time to kill and need more confirmation of what we already know: that Oprah is an egomaniac lowlife spouting nonsense eagerly gobbled up by masses of stupid women sheep-ettes.
Even if Newsweek didn’t say it quite that way, glad to see someone other than me is finally having the guts to say it.
If only the magazine had the guts to delve into the rest of her BS, rather than just snake-oil health claims she’s pimping.
And if only Newsweek had the guts to do this when it was actually a well-read, liberally biased news weekly, instead of a dying on the vine waste of time.
