Who Shot the Guards @ the Las Vegas Fed Bldg? UPDATE: Video

By Debbie Schlussel

Two federal Marshals at the Las Vegas, Nevada Federal Building have just been shot, and the suspect is in custody.  Who is he or she?  We don’t know yet.

Live VIDEO shot by potential juror: “Helluva Morning for Jury Duty!” (S-word alert) . . .

“We have two marshals down and a suspect in custody,” Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Roxanna Lea Irwin said after the shooting ended at about 8 a.m.

Police and federal agents swarmed the multi-story building, and paramedics wheeled at least two people out and down a ramp to ambulances. There was no immediate word on the identity of the wounded shooter.

Las Vegas police spokeswoman Barbara Morgan said the shooter had been shot in the head and apprehended near the federal building.

“It looks like he went in there and just started unloading, we don’t know,” Morgan said.

But while we don’t know yet whether or not this person is an Islamic terrorist, I can predict one thing for sure:  if the person isn’t Muslim, liberals and Muslims all over the place will be dancing and singing and lecturing us that, “You see, Muslims aren’t the terrorists.”  It’s soooooo predictable, it’s moldy.  They do it every single time it isn’t one of them, to overcompensate for the most of the time that it IS one of them.

Nazi-funded Media Matters and unHot Airheads start attacking me for saying so in 3-2-1 . . . .

Yeah…. we can expect the Left to downplay the Islamist threat. Just like they downplay crime in general.

And if the person isn’t a Muslim but a rightwing radical like the ones Janet Napolitano warned us about, what’s going to be the response of debbieschlussel.com?

The large building, which also houses the offices of Nevada Senators Harry Reid and John Ensign, was being evacuated in case a second shooter on the loose. . .The courthouse on the famous Las Vegas Boulevard is home to bankruptcy hearings as well as federal criminal proceedings. The nation’s economic woes have hit Las Vegas particularly hard.

The building, which opened in 2004, was one of the first federal buildings designed with new security standards after the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing.

yours is the most plausable answer, but security with OK City in mind doesn’t work when you let the bad guys in the building, armed.

Liberal response playbook:

a.)If Conservative, then “it is a reflection of the hate spewing from talk radio and blogs.” Solution ban guns and bring on fairness doctrine. Hate crime legislation must be stiffened.

b.)If Muslim, “99% of Muslims haven’t attacked. Anyone believing this is a reflection of Muslim sentiment must be a racist or bigot. This is an individual case and he is acting out because of Guantanamo, Dick Cheney and George Bush. We had this coming.”

Yes Debbie it is getting moldy. Always anything will be spun to blame Conservatives.

There’s a good chance these shooters are Muslim though. If they weren’t, their identities would probably have been released right away.

Let’s just hope we have someone on the ground there that will tell the truth about what really happened instead of us having to settle for the swiss cheese story the fed is going to try to feed us about what went on. They have yet to perfume the fertilizer they were spreading after the knickerbomber and his coconspiritors, however many there were, met a little American muscle. They will be much more apt to do the same here…

, said 66-year-old Johnny Lee Wicks opened fire with a shotgun at a security checkpoint, touching off a running gunbattle with deputy U.S. marshals.

Although the investigation is continuing, the officials said evidence points to Wick’s anger over his benefits case as the motive for the shooting.

I just read the story at Mercury News. There is something that I’m curious about. The article states that the perp had a shotgun. With the amount of ammunition expended in the video something doesn’t add up to me. Shotguns as a rule are not high capacity weapons. Was there really a second shooter??

After last weeks crotch bomber I’m reluctent to buy into the “official” story.
