NBA BFD: So, Thugs, Inc. Gave Out a Tiny “Punishment”

By Debbie Schlussel
So, yet another brawl broke out over the weekend between the spoiled brat multi-millionaires of the NBA. Predictably, all of the players involved only got penalties of a few games. Big Deal. That’s a drop in the bucket. A few games with no pay, but oodles of millions in endorsement deals continue on.
As I wrote after Basketbrawl I, two years ago, Thuggery, Inc. as Brought to You by David Stern is the same old, same old. And it continues. Unfortunately, it’ll never change. So much for Stern’s repeated claims of zero tolerance for violence.
Better your kids should play video games than watch these overgrown babies.

Yes. these black athletes are supposed to be the inspiration for kids in their community to look up to. Video games are a better alternative than watching these overpaid idiots making fools of themselves.

And that’s a HUGE problem – especially given the fact that the perps used the same excuse as do drive-by shooters: “They disrespected us.” Oh PLEASE! If those punks wanna be gang members, let ’em go back to the hood they came from and act like idiots.
Despite being a life-long fan and all ’round jock, I pretty much gave up on the NBA a few years ago for this very reason. It’s useless to hope that those who buy the tickets that pay for their inflated salaries will stop supporting them.
Oh AND …
Did you see those big bad boys slap each other like little girls? THAT was downright hilarious!

AND, you have these same mindless morons (Hollywood types) sitting in the same courtside seats, soaking in this mindless crap. Really, who gives a rat’s ass about a bunch of overpaid, overgrown Neanderthals who run a ball into a hoop? What empty lives these spectators lead to be so engrossed with this meaningless activity. Can anyone name (without research) what teams were in the playoffs or who won the championship for the last 3 years? And, if you can, how much money did it put in your pockets? How much richer did you get watching this crap? How much better is your life as a result?

Miami won last year
San Antonio the year before that and
Detroit in 2003
Basketball is more fun with the occasional punch-up. And ONLY STUPID PEOPLE look up to athletes and actors.

“Basketball is more fun with the occasional punch-up.”
You mean slap-fest or the kind of punch that ruined Rudy Tomjonovich’s jaw and career? Delivered by an “urban” thug of course.
B-Ball is supposed to be a non-contact sport. If those skinny girlymen wanna fight, let ’em try boxing.
