Shocker: Old Glory Gets One-Finger Salute in Dearbornistan

By Debbie Schlussel
They’re Americans just like us and love this country, they keep telling us.
But if the experience of Matthew Keller, 74, is any indication–and it is–they really don’t like America too much. Not exactly a shocker to those of us who know they are not here out of love but out of economic interest and–more important–a jihadist agenda.
Keller walks with a giant American flag through Dearbornistan. Here are the reactions he’s gotten on the Muslim-dominated East end of the city:

In the beginning, some passing motorists would jeer, Keller said. . . . “It’s been almost six months that anyone’s given me the finger,” he said.

Yes, the American flag is not very welcome in occupied Dearbornistan.

Interestingly, Dearborn is hosting an essay contest, asking residents to write a 75-word essay on why they love Dearborn and why people should move there. It’s a sales pitch to get people to move to Michigan’s first (of many) Islamistan. Who needs the 75 words? I think Matthew Keller’s statement is a great essay on life in Dearbornistan:

It’s been almost six months that anyone’s given me the finger [over the American flag].

Maybe their fingers are getting tired (after all that work eating the shawarmeh).
Oh, by the way, there is a flag that won’t get the finger there, the flag of Lebanon, a proxy for Hezbollah. Since they know it looks bad to have the Hezbollah flags in front of their homes, Shi’ite Muslims have the Lebanese flag, which is a surrogate for that yellow flag they think it stands for.

I live in Dearborn and many people on my street still fly the American flag proudly, including myself.
Just so you know, there are pockets of proud Americans still left in this town.

It all begins in the neiborhoods around the country. Soon certain parts of the city become predominantly muslim (no caps). Then the majority of the city becomes muslim. This will happen throughout the US. Eventually Mayors, County Commissioners, State Reps, Congressmen, and Govenors will be Muslim until there is a 50/50 parity. Then the shit will hit the fan and the good old USA will never be the same. They will never assimilate. Stop the migration now before we reach the point of no return. Somebody besides Deb needs to wise up and quickly. The only thing keeping Deerbornistan going is the blind greed of the original natives. Get a clue idiots, you are being led the the slaughter by smiling faces that plan to kill you some day–joe

Similar thing happened when I brought out my American flag this past 9/11: at a freeway overpass, many many drivers hooted and honked. But one guy, dark skin, flipped me the finger. I’ll never forget.

Lina,
I thought you were 18 years old three years ago.
By the way a lot of MUSLIMS (all caps), Arabs, Lebanese, you name it, use the American (with a capital A) flag outside their houses to show their fake support to the U.S.
Stick to your college honey for you might learn something about CAPITALS.
P.S: Dude I love Shawarma but it has to be Kosher for your Halal became lately very terrorist type.

How can you be shocked about what is written when Americans know what a rat hole your town has become.
We all have seen what has happened to Great Britain and do not want the same thing to happen here. Any town invaded by Islamic settlers turns into a third world shit hole and does not;”makes our city a better and more well-rounded place to live” as you put it.
If you call being subservient to Islam or Mohammed well rounded you need your head examined.
I am one American that has no intention of bending over 6 times a day to honor a pedophile warlord.

Deb,
Tell me what kind of “Patriot” pretends to be a WWII combat veteran when he was not? Here is an article that appeared in the Dearborn Press And Guide about Mr. Keller in 2003. When did he enlist, when he was twelve years old? Or was he drafted? Maybe the paper paraphrased what he told them incorrectly?

Walking with pride
By Alan Pinon, Staff Writer
DEARBORN ? Several days a week, Dearborn Resident Matthew Keller, 70, proudly parades a large American flag down Dearborn streets.
Last Thursday, Keller paused briefly atop a hill east of the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center to explain why.
“I support my country and my community and I pray that this flag helps everyone remember a war is going on,” he said. “This flag is for the troops and the innocent people in Iraq.”
Every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday since Sept. 11, 2001, Keller has bore the weight of the flag on his two-mile march. His patriotic pilgrimage takes him from Warren Avenue across Michigan Avenue to The Center, where he meets his wife for a swim before marching back home.
Keller was moved to show his support by his experiences during WWII. He served as a corporal in the Army and said he lost many friends in battle.
“I am not for war but I know sometimes, in order to save other people, war is necessary,” said Keller.
Keller?s voice softened and tears gathered around his eyes as he talked about American troops fighting in Iraq.
“I am too old to go back (to war), so I will walk with this flag until our boys come home.”
