Blame ICE: Don’t Say I Didn’t Warn You About Sanctuary Houses of Worship

By Debbie Schlussel
When the now-deported Elvira Arellano first took up sanctuary, well over a year ago, in Chicago’s Adalberto United Methodist Church, I warned that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was setting a dangerous precedent by refusing to raid a church in order to seize a fugitive alien ordered deported and in violated of that deportation order.
I warned that this made all churches, synagogues, and more important, mosques, into de facto sanctuaries for illegal aliens. Now, as reader H tipped me on Sunday, the same church has a new illegal alien, Flor Crisostomo, staying inside its doors and violating a deportation order. And ICE won’t touch her either, while she’s on the inside. It’s an organized effort by the church, which recruited her. And ICE is sending the message it’s okay.

It’s a sign of weakness and yet another symbol of ICE “leadership”‘s preferences for photo ops and good PR over enforcing the law. If illegal aliens and those all over the world saw ICE agents going into churches and wherever else aliens dare hide in the shadows of organized religion, they’d fear and respect us. They’d know we mean business in enforcing immigration laws.
Instead, they know we aren’t serious. And they laugh at the raids on meat plants and McDonald’s Big deal.
This is war–a war on the invasion of our country. But we are treating it like a day at the beach. In war, you often do things that look bad, in order to win the war. But we are not prepared to do that.
Exit question: How much money will ICE waste–as they did with Elvira Arellano–in tracking Cristomo’s whereabouts and assembling teams to capture her on the occasion that she might step out a year from now?
Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Here’s what needs to happen.
First, we need to elect a Democrat President.
Then, a Islamo-fascist or Communist dictator needs to ask for her.
Masked troops w/automatic weapons will be kicking down the door before you can say “Elian Gonzalez.”
Warrants optional.

The pastor of the church where she is holed up is Walter ‘Slim’ Coleman. Coleman is a radical community activist whose rabble-rousing activity goes back to the 60s. He is undoubtedly emboldened by the fact that, as far as I’m aware, he is facing little or no media opposition. Even the co-hosts of Chicago’s local ‘conservative’ talk-radio program take a lenient view. While one host disapproves, the other, more prominent host says that these criminals shouldn’t be disturbed in the church, because, in essence, it would create another Waco. And these are the conservatives!

Here’s the problem as I see it.
We have open borders. Border Patrol is underfunded and not wholly keeping out invaders, because it’s a facade. Providing politicians a smokescreen of doing something while doing nothing.
The two countries these illegals are coming from are Canada and Mexico (no duh), and these two countries have trade and security agreements with us; supposedly. The agreements come with clauses and other crap that makes it an offense to deport their hordes of poor and destitute, folks from other countries, and of course terrorists and enemies. The villains we’re supposed to be kept out of Canada and Mexico, and these countries were supposed to be economically/socially/politically soundÖ
They are socialist and populist countries – utter corruption, and corruption with a touch of spice.
With these agreements and treaties in place, and ourÖ ok, Iím not calling our elected officialsí ìleadersî ever again. Folk have to earn that title; just like respect. Theyíre not leaders; from the local cities that canít fix sidewalks to our technically bankrupt Federal Government (and those @#$% in Social Security who can’t find F.U. Singh) ñ we have no leaders; just thieves in gentlemanís clothing.
Anyway, with these agreements and treaties in place, we are willing to allow slander and utter renouncement of our national and stateís sovereignty. Our economy is thrown backwards several decades as we are back to 1890 standards. Slavery in any sense of the word sets back technology. My Dad taught me that.
So, there is only one option to end this portent effectively and finally. We must first purge ourselves of these elitist dynasties and elect good men who know their place. Second, the US must declare open war on Mexico and Canada. The US/Mexican War put the invading Mexicans in their place before, and weíve almost gone to war with Canada so many times because of the British ñ one more time wonít make much of a difference.
Our elected leaders, stupid employers, and illegalís crossing are only parts of the problem. We must end the immigration problem at the source ñ the socialist government of Canada and the populist government of Mexico after recalling our elected thieves.
We might as well fight backÖ weíre free folks after all.

this Canadian agrees with you. and your dad’s comment re: slavery is right on. From my point of view in Canada, the borders debate is so mysterious: you folks obviously have something great; why don’t your leaders want to KEEP it great? please read my new essay about gaza at the top of http://www.darrellepp.com

Nothing like smuggling for Jesus…what a way to keep a guilt-free conscience.

In the USA I grew up in, The INS would have entered the church and arrested her with no press conferences, she would have been deported on the spot.
oops, I am dreaming again

Right ScottyDog and the scumbag Coleman would have been expatriated. I also would have revoked the tax exempt status of the church they have become political in nature. Surely this would have cured the ingrates of their liberal BS.
