I would be horrified, heart broken and outraged if my 10 year old had to endure this. Poor kid!!! So much for her childhood. This guy deserves to be neutered then jailed for the rest of his life.

BUT who decided that this little girl should have "kept" the baby? It is monstrous that this baby was not aborted.

There is nothing immoral about rape victims aborting the vile issue of the crime inflicted on them. Indeed, such an act is morally required.

If this little girl's parents decided, for some twisted reason (religious or otherwise), to make this child carry this baby to term and give birth -- they deserve to be thrown in jail for a good long term.

Anyone who is illegal in this country should be considered fair game and laws should be passed to declare open season on them! Guarantee they would stay the hell out!

I disagree with RepublicanPatriot. Aborting the innocent compounds the crime committed by Gutierrez-Juarez. Our system should now lock this pervert up for the rest of his life (which is likely to be shortened by his fellow inmates). It would have been better for the creep to have been intercepted at the border, but that cannot be done after the fact.

And no doubt, this animal was raping little girls in Mexico. You don't just up and start raping little girls in a foreign country. This bastard has experience. And that's what they do--criminals escaping Mexico to come to America for fresh victims and a world of opportunity to commit crimes undetected, with no fingerprints in our system, and no criminal record to follow them.

ENOUGH! Media should report the TRUTH about what's happening in our own country. Instead, they are deliberately keeping the truth from us. They are participating in this evil.

Oh brother, chsw -- 10 year old girls who gestate and give birth are MEDICALLY AT RISK. They need to be given abortions. They should not be made to endure pregnancy and childbirth -- it is risking their life. It is unconscionable. The "innocent baby" is only ONE part of this picture; there is also an innocent girl, or in the case of any rape, an innocent woman.

This pig needs to be castrated and then put in the prison brothel where he can serve the needs of big, burly, brutal cons.

Hard as it may be to believe, it's quite possible that nobody knew this child was even pregnant until she was brought in for treament at the end of April, in which case an abortion would be out of the question, as the fetus would have been nearly full-term. There was a case in South Africa about 20 years ago where a 9-year-old girl gave birth by Caesarian section to a full-term baby; she and her mother had not known she was pregnant until she was brought to a clinic with labour pains. She had also been raped, and had been too frightened to tell anyone. Every doctor or nurse I know has stories like these, only the girls are usually somewhat older. Very young pregnant women often barely look pregnant, just like they've put on weight. If they were overweight before the pregnancy, as many children are now, it would be even less noticeable. The girl may be quite tall and developed for her age - I've taught 10-year-old girls who were as tall as and probably weighed as much me and already had developed breasts. But even so, 10 is far too young to give birth, physically and psychologically. If I had a child that young who was raped and impregnated, I would not hesitate to get her an early-term abortion. The protection of my child would outweigh concerns about the fetus, in such a case. But her parents may have been genuinely unaware, and she was too frightened and traumatized to know what was going on. Poor little girl. I hope she can get over this someday, and that her attacker rots in jail forever, as he deserves.
