Let the Pot-Smoking Begin . . . . .

By Debbie Schlussel
Fire up the bongs. Someone tell the chef to make extra food for away games. I hear someone gets really hungry after his “holistic medicine.” He’s baaaaaaaaaaaack! In a highly questionable move, Ricky Williams, the NFL’s Most Valuable Toker, was allowed to return to the Miami Dolphin team he abandoned for an exciting life of spliffing. Only in the NFL.
Why is he returning? Hint: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ ‘Nuff said.

In a related story, the Miami Dolphins have adopted this as the new team insignia. They said the old one reminded them too much of the transsexual Miami Dolphin in that Jim Carrey movie. Laces out!

Debbie’s being bad…you been hanging around The King, hon? Amusing article.
Even more amusing is how Sticky Icky Ricky tries to portray himself as a misunderstood Rennaissance Man when he appears to be a real doofus. He signed a ridiculous contract out of college with that rapper Master P, then loses a fortune just to smoke the lettuce, not to mention at least one kid he’s fathered out of wedlock.
You want to talk odd guys, the former Detroit Lion running back great Barry Sanders was one truly odd character.

Nothing hotter than a good looking woman who like sports! Debbie, you need to make a road trip down here to Nashville, TN and we’ll have you talking with an evil Southern accent in no time. We’ll go to a Preds vs. Red Wings game and catch the Titans, too. Steve Gill and Phil Valentine of our awesome conservative radio station WTN 99.7 mention you frequently.
Post some Hottie NFL predictions, Debbie.
I am picking the Tennessee Vol legend Peyton Manning to lead the Colts to a Super Bowl victory over the Carolina Panthers. And, the UT Vols will win it all in college football.
BTW, former Vols quarterback Heath Shuler is running for a Democrat seat in North Carolina. Talk about a bonehead, he’ll make a perfect Democrat.

I haven’t followed foosball since Howard Cosell
was dumped by Monday Night Football for racist comments, the league was shaken down by the pimp firm of Cochrane & Sharpton who demanded mo’ brothers as coaches and Lyle ‘Nice Jewish Boy’ Alzado, forsook his heritage, didn’t follow Williams’ example-and became the poster child of NFL steroid use.

Uhhh… The Vols and Colts will finish their upcoming seasons where they always do… as ALSO-RANS! You’ll be cheering for 2nd place, again, my friend. Newsflash: USC had another stellar recruiting year taking anyone and every one of the college blue chip prospects out of Southern California. This will also be the year of The Lightning Bolt. The Chargers will be your new NFL Champs.

Big surprise. No one’s ever accused Ricky Williams of be a bastion of integrity. Did he really think he could take bonus money and then not play? At least he had the balls to admit his return is purely a money decision. Good message to send to the fans, too. Don’t play for the love of the game! It’s all about the ca-a-a-a-sh! After the Dolphins’ last season, though, I don’t think they care if Williams injects black-tar heroin into his scrotum – just get him on the damn field.
And, while I understand the league’s desire to have a drug policy, I’d rather see them let players do whatever they want to themselves. It’d make for a more entertaining product. I don’t see how weed improves a player’s game, though. Other substances, sure. Hey, if Doc Ellis can pitch a no-hitter while on acid, can you imagine the devastation a coked-up front line could do on the gridiron? How about giving the kick-off returner a little speed? Anybody remember the beginning of the dreadful Tango & Cash? That’s what I’m talkin’ ’bout! (minus the gunplay)

Yngvai, I think you are thinking about The Last Boy Scout movie.
As for you, Yiddish!…I usually never pick against the Patriots and Belichick, but with all they lost and the repeating factor, I am hoping Manning can finally win the big one. As for The Vols, you forget ’98? Fulmer & staff aren’t great coaches, but they are loaded with talent.
Debbie would love a Preds vs. Dead Wings NHL game here. We have a lot of Detroit transplants due to the Nissan plant and it’s one of the few games that pretty much guarantee a sellout. I am sure Phil Valentine of WTN 99.7 would love to have Debbie visit, he and Gill led a very well known Tennessee Tax Revolt and Valentine has taken up a “Demagnitize Tennessee” campaign to rid Tennessee of illegal aliens.

Jeff, you’re right. I sit corrected.

I understand Williams had $6.8 million or so that he owed to Miami. Too bad he didn’t have a bank with $7 million in overdraft courtesy.
Debbie’s comments were funny.
I wonder if the Dolphin’s theme song this season will be Musical Youth’s “Pass the Dutchie.”

rickzowie on August 3, 2005 at 4:42 pm

Mybad. It was $8.6 million that Williams owes Miami.
