UPDATED: Faisal Shahzad – ‘Nother “Moderate” US Muslim: “Not Terrorism” Terror Suspect in NYC Times Sq Bombing is Pakistani-American

By Debbie Schlussel

****  UPDATE, 05/04/10, 3:21 a.m:  The suspect is Faisal Shahzad. Yup, sounds like an “angry right-wing White male” to me.  How ’bout you? ****

As Gomer Pyle would say, “Suhrprahz, Surprahz.”  Yup, whatta shocker that all of the knee-jerk excuses and denials the feds and NYC’s dumbass Mayor Michael Bloomberg told us over the weekend aren’t true.  Here are the myths:

islamiccrescent.jpgtimessquarebomber

Guess the Religion, Times Square Edition

1)  It was a “White guy” (yes, b/c noooooo White people are Muslims, right?);

2)  It was not terrorism (b/c it was a “White guy”) because nooooo White people are terrorists working on behalf of Muslims;

3)  The Pakistani Taliban’s branch which claimed responsibility wasn’t responsible (can’t determine why they decided this, other than that over-hyped, worthless, nutty “terrorism expert” Evan Kohlmann who gets EVERY single thing wrong, declared this on NBC news).

Reality check:

1)  The person currently the suspect in the case–the “person of interest”–is your average “White guy” Pakistani-American.

2)  He has a Middle Eastern last name.

3)  He’s a Muslim (pretty much all Pakistanis are–there are few Jewish or Christian Pakis, dummies).

4)  He recently returned from a long trip to Pakistan–was there for five months.

5)  He’s a naturalized citizen (and I’ll bet we did one heck of a five minute background check on his ass when he applied for citizenship).

6)  Federal counterterrorism officials recognize the guy’s name (and probably instantly ignored him because a falafel kiss-ass luncheon wasn’t available at which to gladhand him, so they chose their second fave option–ignore him because Muslims from Pakistan are never a threat to America . . . ever).

But, hey, given all these things, I’m sure he’s 1) a “White guy” Paki; 2) a “non-Islamic” Muslim–maybe he’s a lesbian Christian, lacto-ovo, multi-racial Muslim; 3) and there’s no way a guy who’s a Paki Muslim who just returned from Pakistan has ties to the Pakistani Taliban–that’s impossible, right? Or he could be a Paki Wiccan. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

More:

Authorities have identified the buyer of the SUV used in a failed Times Square terror attack and are seeking him as a potential suspect, two law enforcement officials said Monday.

The buyer is a man of Pakistani descent who recently traveled to Pakistan. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the case is at a sensitive stage.

The officials say the man is a Connecticut resident who paid cash weeks ago for the SUV parked in Times Square on Saturday and rigged with a crude propane-and-gasoline bomb.

The source told CBS News forensic evidence uncovered in the vehicle led them to a Middle Eastern man’s name that was familiar to counter terrorism investigators.

Like I said, all the hallmarks of a Wiccan. Time to round up the rest of the Times Square Terror Coven. Speaking of which, who else here was involved in this terror cell, er . . . Wiccan coven? I doubt the dude worked alone.

Oh, and by the way, the Nissan Pathfinder was parked right near the headquarters of Viacom, the media conglomerate which owns Comedy Central and pandered to Muslims by once again censoring Mohammed out of “South Park.”

Yeah, and that Islamo-pandering really worked in spades, didn’t it?

Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Another “moderate Muslim,” the kind we’re told American Muslims are versus their counterparts all over the world who’d kill us all in a heartbeat if they could. As I keep saying over and over and over, there are no “moderate” Muslims. And American Muslims are every bit as radical as–no different from–their fellow co-religionists around the world.

This guy, the Times Square bombing suspect–I’m callin’ him, “Mohammed Al-Babaghanouche Al-Pakistaniamriki”–ain’t no different.

The media were probably wringing their hands hoping for a ‘right-wing white-christian tea-party republican pro-life conservative whacko’, but so sad, they get the usual suspect again. What a surprise…watch how fast this story dies.

theShadow on May 3, 2010 at 11:36 pm

Everyone kept saying the man changing his shirt was a person of interest in the video shown everywhere.

I believe that was just misdirection.

The people you REALLY need to watch is the couple standing on the curb in front of the SUV looking around and then walk away right before a guy in a white t-shirt,who was standing between the two vehicles, walks backwards onto the curb and then takes off.

hi my name is Alex 🙂

i’d ask that you would cite your sources please.

i dont know where you get off collectively identifying Muslims and using these racial stereotypes, may i suggest you stop doing that if you have any real hope in any sort of intelligent progressive discourse.

Site Intelligence is an Israeli think tank that has repeatedly reported falsified information so it would come as no surprise that NY authorities were not exactly open to hearing their sentiment.

heres a rope.

alexander copp on May 3, 2010 at 11:46 pm

Thank you for the Islamist perspective Lexi. You might actually try clicking on the links given by Debbie, if you want the sources. Also, the old Islamophobia/stereotyping rant is old and stale. Far too many of your co-religionists have been and are engaged in such matters to make your claim even remotely credible. Finally, your silly little anti-Semitic add-on completely gave your game away. We are all to familiar with the tactics of Taqqiya and Kitman, so your blather will not work. If you are being paid the minimum wage by CAIR or your mosque, they are paying you far more than you are worth considering the quality of your work.

    Worry01 on May 4, 2010 at 1:22 am

Umm Alex No one here gives a rats ass about having a “Progressive” discourse. feel free to bring that over to Democrats.com The “Aggressive Progressives”
Secondly we are tired of people like yourself telling us that muslims are good people who are really are friends. They are not! While there are exceptions to every rule the vast majority will laugh their collective democrats off as they murder you.
there is no thought you can formulate in your little liberal mind that will change that fact. As long as I kep turning on my television and seeing muslims by the tens of thousands burning American flags and chanting “Death to America” I will continue to believe the truth which is they want us dead or on our knees worshiping a pseudo god and praising a child-molesting prophet.
Funny how people like you do not need to see “Sources” when it come to laying the blame for something at the feet of conservatives or Tea Party Patriots. But when it comes to Obama, the Marxist Party, or Muslims you want to see the source of every comment only to write it off because of the political ideology of the author regardless of the truth of the article.
the bomber was a Paki muslim who tried to explode a bomb in NYC to kill Americans what more proof do you need that he was a terrorist?

Another excellent post, Debbie. I also agree with the first two comments here.

JeffE on May 4, 2010 at 12:04 am

Muslim is not a race and the news demonstrated the the real racists are the projecting progressives.

The real intelligent discourse involves pointing out the words from the koran and hadiths compelling muslims to carry out such violence for the last 1388 years worldwide with the objective of preventing the number of useful idiots from increasing.

Soyphobia on May 4, 2010 at 12:13 am

the same could be said for teh Talmud which is equally as bad, religion is a detriment to society as a whole but unfortunately in America religion is something we must live and deal with.

Christianity is responsible for more deaths than the other religions combined, even during the Crusades the number of Muslim deaths far exceeded the number of Christians killed.

morality is not innate, it has changed through time, it varies amongst cultures and even among individuals. i dont consume myself with these religious issues because i dont have a just solution.

make no mistake about it, there are certainly a good deal of Muslims in the world who intend to harm us. on that note, may i suggest we all come to a greater understanding of PNAC and its origins, 9/11 and these wars we face because these problems are very real and we’ve been misdirected.

people die everyday and we simply cannot afford these wars. conservatives until recently have always carried a policy of nonintervention and its really a shame that we involve ourselves in these affairs.

alexander copp on May 4, 2010 at 12:36 am

Lexie, since you have so much understanding of the Talmud, tell us the time period in which is was composed. As for the Crusades, could you give us some exact figures with an actual reference. You might want to ask what Muslims were doing prior to the 11th Century in Europe. Shall we discuss Italy, France, Spain, and last but not least Constantinople? Lay some of that awesome knowledge on us dude.

Re: alexander copp at 11:46 pm.

Alex, if you’re still here, I really don’t know where to begin in responding to your post.

First, I think that you need to re-read Debbie’s post, and click on her links. Try deconstructing what Debbie actually said, and not what you wished she had said. She didn’t mention anything about this “Site intelligence”. Also, two of her sources are links of two articles from the CBS news website.

Second, even if she had mentioned this “Site intelligence” website, any reasonable person would find that Israel’s Mossad is in fact a reliable source for what’s going with Islamic terrorism and that it’s the pro-Arab/Muslim and anti-Israel sites that are what’s unreliable, such as the one that you linked to.

Finally, about your rope comment in your introduction to your link. It wouldn’t happen to be in reference to Karl Marx’s advocating that the “Capitalists” be given enough rope to hang themselves, would it? If so, then please go away and don’t come back!

SITE is notorious for falsifying information such as fake bin ladin videos, Yemen, Gadahn, etc.,

Mossads info verifiable? just like how al qaeda met with Hussein in Prague, just like 9/11, 7/7, teh Lavon Affair, JFK, RFK, Gladio, Lockerbie… i could go on and on.

Oh, speaking of two of your examples, who, according to your world view, assassinated JFK and RFK?

JeffE on May 4, 2010 at 12:55 am

Also, Alex?

Who did 9/11?

Terrorists aren’t terrorists. Illegals and illegals. The Ft. Hood shooting was a PTSD incident. The liberals media has more tales than Dr. Seuss.

I have a feeling that you are dealing with someone who is developmentally disabled. Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and the consumption of lead paint have been known to stifle normal mental growth. Finally too many first cousin marriage products can lead to this as well. Such people are best left under the supervision of caregivers, since dealing with the real world is quite hard when one only has fantasies and conspiracy theories for guidance.

    Worry01 on May 4, 2010 at 1:36 am

worry01, i hope that youre not referring to me because you are obviously projecting your own insecurities as if they were mine. conspiracies are real and its a shame that brain dead zealots like yourself would remain ignorant and much rather throw around insults than actually advancing their understanding.

JeffE, i replied to your questions but my comment is “awaiting moderation” so im unsure as to whether or not it can be read.

Alex, I went to bed before I saw your response at 1:50 am. I did not see your post answering my questions, and it does not appear now. That’s not a good sign. Let’s just say that I have a very good idea as to what your answers to my questions are, and if I’m correct, then you have discredited yourself and I’m moving on.

JeffE on May 4, 2010 at 7:38 am

I was referring to you Lexie. It is nice that you were up to reading it. Let us define some words you have used:

    zeal·ot

    zeal·ot [zéll?t]
    (plural zeal·ots)
    n
zealous follower: a zealous supporter of a cause, especially a religious cause

    [Mid-16th century. Via late Latin < Greek z?lot?s < z?loun "be jealous" < z?los "eager rivalry"]

    -zeal·ot·ry, , n
Encarta ® World English Dictionary © & (P) 1998-2005 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

As you can see, your position would fall under this definition, rather than anything I have said.

Or, how about projection from the same source: psychology unconscious transfer of feeling: the unconscious ascription of a personal thought, feeling, or impulse, especially one considered undesirable, to somebody else.

Nope, never had alcoholic parents, etc. So, that leaves that out.

Finally, filling your head full of soap opera trivia or conspiriacy theories is not expanding knowledge anymore than having a sex change operation actually actually changes your sex. Have fun, and go find those cattle mutilators.

    Worry01 on May 4, 2010 at 12:57 pm

No surprise that a Paki was arrested in this crime case. Pakis slaughter each other in the dozens every week on account of all sorts of reasons, Shia vs. Sunna, Muslims killing Hindus & Christians, Taliban vs. the govt, etc. Pakis are used to slaughter, apparently, it is part of everyday life for them. It was Pakis who went to Mumbai in India and killed a couple of hundred people. And it doesn’t have anything to do with Israel.

At the same time, it should be pointed out that most Pakis and Indians are Caucasians by race. Caucasian is not a skin color. Most Indians and Pakis are dark but some are rather light skinned, lighter-skinned than one of my grandfathers who was medium-brown. I called him zeydeh. People ought to know that people on both sides of the Mediterranean may be swarthy or pale. The race is Caucasian not “white.” Again, a Paki can be light enough to be called “white”. The problem with Pakis is what is inside their heads, not all of them I’m sure.

Next, I see that a certain Alex Copp is running paranoid Judeophobic fantasies. He wants to believe that the Bin Laden tapes came from an Israeli source. Actually, I’ve seen those tapes reported on various international news networks. On almost every occasion when a Bin Laden tape was revealed, they also reported that it came from al-Jazeera, an Arab network, which had received the tape in a mysterious way. No network using the Bin Laden tapes ever said that it came from an Israeli source. Maybe Alex ought to apologize for his paranoid mistake.

The cute thing about al-Jazeera is that their broadcasting headquarters are in Qatar on the Persian Gulf in the same sheikdom as American CENTCOM headquarters. It is said that you can see CENTCOM HQ from the upper floors of the al-Jazeera offices. Strange neighbors. Meanwhile, al-Jazeera’s corporate business HQ is in London, of all places. Funny.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Mossad is involved in the Times Square bombing:

The words of David Ben Gurion, the first Israeli Prime Minister, as printed in the Jewish Chronicle,9 August 1967, leave nothing to imagination: “The world Zionist movement should not be neglectful of the dangers of Pakistan to it. And Pakistan now should be its first target, for this….”

Worry01 you can also add all the fluoride in water causing brain retardation.

By the way Shahzad is a naturalized citizen, as opposed to a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN.

The CT Post has a “story” on him living in Shelton, CT instead of Bridgeport. Shelton is north of The Park City along CT’s Route 8.

http://www.ctpost.com/news/article/Times-Square-bomb-suspect-arrested-471177.php

“A law enforcement official says a suspect in last weekend’s failed car bomb attack on Times Square has been taken into custody while trying to leave the country, the Associated Press reported early Tuesday.

The man was identified by officials as Faisal Shahzad of Long Hill Avenue in Shelton. He was identified at midnight Monday at John F. Kennedy International Airport and was stopped, the official said.

Shahzad, of Pakistani descent who recently traveled to Pakistan, paid cash weeks ago for the SUV parked in Times Square on Saturday, officials said. It was found rigged with a crude propane-and-gasoline bomb and had cheap-looking alarm clocks connected to a 16-ounce can filled with fireworks.

Several news outlets reported that the sale of the 1993 Nissan Pathfinder was negotiated over Craigslist and that the buyer paid between $1,300 in cash to a woman identified by the Hartford Courant as Peggy Colas, a 19-year-old college student from Bridgeport, before driving it away from a shopping mall. Colas also listed the car on the NothingButCars.net website.

The parking lot outside State Police Troop G headquarters in Bridgeport was packed with police cars early Tuesday, and state and federal authorities were swarming the building. News crews from local and national media outlets were camped out in the area near the barracks.”

Bob Porrazzo on May 4, 2010 at 6:11 am

If his name was familiar to counterterrorism investigators
how come he was not on the “no fly list” when he both left
and returned to the US?

Wasn’t the “underwear bomber” also known (after his father
reported him)? Are we ever going to learn?

I_AM_ME on May 4, 2010 at 6:37 am

What really got me about all of this was that the White House did not even label it an “act of terrorism” until yesterday. Duh…we all knew that it was terrorism once we heard what was in that vehicle. What will it take for these PC morons to wake up? I am absolutely disgusted with how weak this administration is. I am even more disgusted with the media. If this was a white conservative male we would NEVER hear the end of it. Why does the majority of the media seem to cater to the enemy? Everything seems so backwards now.

Also…Alexander Plop – you must have a blast living in your kumbaya world full of rainbows and sunshine. Just because terrorism does not fit into your imaginary world does not mean that it does not exist. Everything is not a conspiracy…except maybe liberalism.

Angela04 on May 4, 2010 at 7:46 am

Both the Left and the Right are morally blind. People can’t stand up and call evil by its right name and repudiate it. I would bet the same people who can’t bring themselves to stand up for Israel are the same people who can’t bring themselves to fight the evil of Islam in its all its most dangerous manifestations.

We are losing the war – because the good people remain silent and refuse to make their voices heard. And that is where mediocrity, incompetence and treason has free rein in the land.

Yo Alex…. you part of the “Honest Ibe” CAIR crew? They are the best at recreating reality and running with it. Also, if the “Jews” controlled the media as losers like you always claim, they wouldn’t have all the woes they do in this world. Believe me, I wish they did. Than I wouldn’t have to hear crap like how the latest terrorist was certainly gonna be a white, Christian Republican.

ZooKeeper on May 4, 2010 at 10:02 am

Love this quote: “The source told CBS News forensic evidence uncovered in the vehicle led them to a Middle Eastern man’s name that was familiar to counter terrorism investigators.”

Amazing how the media dances around the idea, so afraid of coming out and saying it was a Muslim terrorist.

It’s also interesting how Liberals like to pull out the, “But-but Christians killed people too– 1,000 years ago but still!” And it’s true. There were two Crusades, one was when the Muslims invaded and occupied Europe. The second Crusade is when the Europeans drove them out. I know it’s against Liberal philosophy to defend yourself or your country.

If our Congress and Obama, the guy playing “President” do not collectively man up and deal with the enemies this country is against, there will be a third crusade, it we will not be the victors.

Obama has to stop trying to beat Bush’s record of golf games, and campaigning for laws, edicts, and executive orders nobody wants. With this guys’ history, I don’t know how people got duped into voting for him.
