Must-Watch Moron VIDEO of the Day: Why Women Shouldn’t Be U.S. Senators

By Debbie Schlussel

Only a stupid liberal Democrat chick parading as a  U.S. Senator would use a Supreme Court nominee’s confirmation hearings to ask and discuss something this moronic.  Sorry, but I just can’t see a male U.S. Senator–from either party or side of the ideological divide–asking a Supreme Court nominee whether he or she prefers Alien or Predator when it comes to AVP movies.  Even Elena Kagan didn’t want to answer this imbecilic baloney.  I second the, “I wish you wouldn’t.” Um, why do we need to know what Amy Klobuchar’s daughters did?  Yup, the people of Minnesota–a plurality of ’em, anyway–are that dumb that they elected this idiotette. If I were her opponent in the next election, I’d make this my campaign commercial, with the tagline, “Senator Klobuchar . . .focusing on the issues important to Minnesota’s vampires and werewolves. You, not so much.”

Complete idiocy. What in the world could make her think that question was relevant to something as important as confirming a Supreme Court Justice? This is really depressing.

interestin on July 1, 2010 at 11:37 am

Uh, Al Franken asked the last justice about Perry Mason. But I hardly consider him a man.

CD: Clearly, there’s something in the water in Minnesota, which is where that nut and complete moron Ed Morrissey also lives. But Al Franken’s question–as loathsome as he is–was at least kind of funny. Klobuchar’s was just plain stupid. She’s a complete moron. DS

Sounds to me like a grotesque metaphor for “Illegals vs Border Patrol”. Besides, I don’t think she could have asked her if she was “Team Edward” or “Team Jacob,” as I’m fairly certain Kagan falls into the flannel shirt-wearing “Team Bella” crowd.

Call it the Dumbing Down of America. I’m sure there are intelligent women in politics. Leftist women are not among them.

NormanF on July 1, 2010 at 12:20 pm

Apparently partial birth abortions, States Rights, the Second Amendment, free speech and the extent of the commerce clause were too boring for this dolt.

pat on July 1, 2010 at 12:33 pm

Well, didn’t Lindsay Grahame ask about what Ms. Kagan was doing on Dec 25 and it became a joke about how Jews are usually in Chinese restaurants while Gentiles celebrate Christmas? I’m not defending this idiette but stupidity comes in both genders and on both sides of the aisle. Grahame supposedly was asking about the underwear bomber but the conversation got away from him pretty quickly.

mk750 on July 1, 2010 at 12:53 pm

Then again this is Minnesota. With the exception of two politicians…a place where Illuminati bread contemptuous pieces of fecal matter come from its bowels like Tim Palwnety the neocon, leftists like Hubert Humprhey, Paul Wellstone and Fritz Mondale.

Oh and do not forget CONgressman Keith “allah” Ellison.

The only two good politicos from that state…Michelle Bachmann…AND JESSE VENTURA! Say what you want about him, but it’s high time people started to watch the new season of Conspiracy Theory on TruTV this upcoming season. The investigations on that show put 60 Minutes, 20/20 and Dateline NBC to all out shame!

Of course if Ron Paul should not run in 2012, I will write Ventura’s name in…TO REALLY RUB IT IN THE FACE OF ALL YOU PALINBOTS OUT THERE!

DOWN WITH THE ILLUMINATI, THEIR PHONY MONEY AND THEIR HOLLYWOOD TACTICS! UP WITH LIBERTY AND FREEDOM!

“WHEN THE PEOPLE FEAR THE GOVERNMENT THERE IS TYRANNY, WHEN THE GOVERNMENT FEARS THE PEOPLE, THERE IS LIBERTY” (Thomas Jefferson)

Bob Porrazzo on July 1, 2010 at 1:37 pm

Bob, I urge you to not waste your vote by writing in a no-chance “candidate” as a form of protest that only one or two people will see. The greater objective should be to rid ourselves of the Obama administration as quickly as possible, and vote for whomever has a chance of defeating him.

The truth is: some women should just stay home and have babies!

As goes Israel - so goes the World on July 1, 2010 at 2:03 pm

Yeah, the ones that want to. Sounds like you’re implying that it’s the incompetent women (like this one) that should do that, though. I would wager that it takes a great deal of intelligence and strength to raise happy, healthy kids – I wouldn’t wish someone incompetent/ridiculous on anyone as a mother.

Way to make it sound like motherhood is a refuge for people too stupid to do anything else, though. That’s not offensive to mothers at all.

hellcat on July 2, 2010 at 1:01 pm

I will amend my post in light of your comments. This is what I actually meant:

The truth is: some women should just stay home and NOT have babies!

As goes Israel - so goes the World on July 2, 2010 at 3:33 pm

Fair enough. I think I can agree that we’d be better off if some people just didn’t leave the house.

hellcat on July 2, 2010 at 4:13 pm

I’m from MN and not remotely offended by your MN generalities. My neighbors voted for Kloby, Jesse, Wellstone, Mondale, Carter..I still can’t figure out what’s in the water up hear we’re always raving about? I do like Michelle Bachman though (and she’s kinda hot).

Harvan on July 1, 2010 at 2:22 pm

Lighten up people. She was just kibbitzin.

Zsuzsi on July 1, 2010 at 2:47 pm

Zsuzsi – you’ve got to be kidding – kibbitzin? This is one of the most important decisions that could come by in the next 20 years for how the court is aligned politically. Yeah, we won’t get another Justice Thomas, but this Kagan is not qualified to be dog catcher, let alone sit on the SCOTUS. Maybe they should ask something like – What is your girlfriend’s name? At least that would be something more important to talk about than this stupid sh#t.

Jarhead on July 1, 2010 at 3:25 pm

Goodness, you people are so biased. Open your minds a bit. It’s good for you.

Zsuzsi on July 1, 2010 at 3:27 pm

I generally find when one has no good argument, what results is name-calling, generally with nothing to back it up. The “you just have a closed mind” gambit is one of these types of arguments.

Why is objecting to a Senator reducing a Supreme Court nomination hearing to a teenage pop culture test mean that one does not have an “open mind”?

Like, OMG, I can’t, like, believe you said that! Just sayin’.

HoustonSelgin on July 1, 2010 at 4:49 pm

Our country is literally falling apart. The Senate is evaluating a woman who in every way would help this failure along. And what do they talk about? The stock market is in free fall. In a short time, Americans will be reminded why “Main Street and Wall Street” are important to our well being. By that time it will be too late and more of our wealth will be down the tube. When that happens we move closer to a definitive resolution which will likely be violent.

David on July 1, 2010 at 4:44 pm

    David

To that list, please add monitzing the national debt resulting in world wide economic collapse.

    Thank you.

As goes Israel - so goes the World on July 1, 2010 at 5:05 pm

Zsusi, open YOUR EYES before it’s too late. It will be good for you and the rest of us. This is no laughing matter, but the likes of Pelosi, Obama, Biden, Klobuchar etc. have turned your gov’t. into a sad, sick joke.

theShadow on July 1, 2010 at 5:00 pm

If we had even ONE Senator like Joseph McCarthy, he would shut Kagan’s pie-hole. He could probably get her to plead the 5th Amendment. Image cloning McCarthy with Cleveland Amory, and getting him in the US Senate.

Dr Dale on July 1, 2010 at 8:25 pm

I’m from Minnesota and I was embarrassed by both out senators. BTW, please don’t refer to Tim Pawlenty as fecal matter — he’s been an excellent governor.

mominminnesota on July 1, 2010 at 9:41 pm

This dumb bitch was elected by Acorn just like Al Franken neither one including Kagan deserves to seen in public. This is my single most important reason for my presidential pick, “Who will he probably install in the Supreme Court?” everything else is ancilliary. All those who voted for Obama because you were sick of republicans behold what you have wraught!

THE LORD THOR on July 1, 2010 at 10:15 pm

This is yet another example of the immature children run amok in our political landscape.

It shows the utter lack of seriousness about their business at hand.

Where are the adults? We sure could use some grown-ups in dealing with issues of gravity.

pitandpen on July 1, 2010 at 11:19 pm

ONd more reason why California should be a separate country.

Little Al on July 1, 2010 at 11:47 pm

Nobody is really getting what I’m saying. She was just spending 30 seconds to try to lighten up the mood. I’m not making any statement about whether anybody is qualified for the job and what the hearing means for our future.

But the fact that she was just trying to diffuse some tension is not such a bad thing. I think it’s crazy to write a whole blog about that and for people to post all these comments. I mean, if Obama sneezes the wrong way, is that your next topic? I usually like Debbie’s blog, but this topic does not deserve her or anybody else’s attention.

Zsuzsi on July 2, 2010 at 9:53 am

I like the points you make but I don’t like the title of this post.

Matthew on July 2, 2010 at 12:22 pm

Kagan, the bull-dike, thinks she is going out for Legislative Position not a Supreme Court justice. The fact is, the Judicial branch has become corrupt and they have become law makers, a job that was mandated to the Congress or various legislatures.

It really gets my under wear in a wad when the DNC puts on these scripted show hearings which are nothing but a lie secession to cover up the fact this woman is a communist at heart.

She is going to put her hand on a bible and take the oath of office which she has no intention of upholding if confirmed. Many of our laws have been created by the courts which are clearly unconstitutional. The Judges that made those laws should have been impeached and the law rescinded.

The Congress and various legislatures refuse to do their jobs by impeaching and rescinding unconstitutional rulings by these activist Judges.

The Senate has become a laughing stock putting on these phony confirmation hearings.

ScottyDog on July 2, 2010 at 3:43 pm

“The Congress and various legislatures refuse to do their jobs by impeaching and rescinding unconstitutional rulings by these activist Judges.”…”The Senate has become a laughing stock putting on these phony confirmation hearings.”…and not one Senator or Representative has stepped forward to fight for us! Cowards?…Conspirators?…Cronies?…What has happened to the USA?

Dr Dale on July 2, 2010 at 4:14 pm

Isn’t the other liberal moron on the Judiciary, Al Franken who was so stimulated by the discussions this week that he fell asleep. These are the idiots we trust to run the Country? Out of all the things in this woman’s past, that’s the question that comes to mind? God help us!

Ireland on July 2, 2010 at 4:18 pm

I see you’re at it again, Miss Schlussel. Bashing the wrong people, using the wrong words and starting right off the bat with your baseless name-calling. Using the internet gratuitously to make yourself feel better about yourself is terrible, but I suppose since the internet has morphed into the monster it is, I’m not surprised.

Not every woman senator is or will be like this woman is. Many women are smart and capable. You cannot choose one fallible person to be an example to slam a whole diverse group. But from your commentary, it would seem you believe that women are unfit to be senators, doctors, lawyers, curators, CEOs, anything that requires smarts and schooling. Should we all stay home and make dinner, do laundry, rear the children? If that’s the case, Miss Schlussel, GTFO the internet and find yourself a husband to pop out a baby with.

(You know, it’s funny. Your last name “Schlussel” means “key”. But the only thing I ever see you unlocking is a truckload of bullshit.)
