So Sad, Too Bad: Hezbollah Money-Laundering Restaurant Chain in Michigan Loses Money

By Debbie Schlussel
The Detroit Newsistan is shedding tears for “La Shish”, the restaurant chain still owned and open for business by indicted Hezbollah financier and federal fugitive Talal Chahine. (He’s also the father of Khalil Chahine, convicted honor-murderer of a Christian Arab who was engaged to a Muslim woman.)
Chahine allegedly gave Hezbollah and its “charities” $20 million in money he laundered and concealed–and “forgot” to pay federal income taxes on. Why is he a fugitive? Because U.S. Attorney Stephen Murphy III a/k/a “Abu Porno” (a Bush federal judicial nominee) gave him all kinds of hints that he’d be indicted and then allowed him to flee the country.

Even though he funded “children of the martyrs,” The Detroit Newsistan is sad that La Shish is losing money and customers. The paper should be asking why the heck the restaurant is still open for business and its assets have NOT been frozen, including money which is still going to Chahine in Lebanon, to finance his luxe lifestyle. Ask Abu Porno, who was never serious about going after Chahine.
And the paper is upset for two men that bought La Shish franchises are losing money, too. Why be sad for them? Both are Muslims who knew–like the rest of us–the open secret that has been common knowledge for years: that Chahine was funding Hezbollah. And even if they were blind, deaf, and dumb to that and the other criminal activity (murder, drug-dealing) for which members of the Chahine family were convicted, I still can’t feel sorry for them.
One of the franchise owners is named Charlie Bazzi. But the Bazzi family are Lebanese Shi’ite Muslims who strongly support Hezbollah. Will Bazzi, who owns the Ann Arbor La Shish, publicly denounce Hezbollah by name? Doubtful.
Ditto for the other franchisee, Samir Saleh, who is changing the name of his West Bloomfield La Shish restaurant to Mezza Mediterranean Grill. He wanted to buy the entire La Shish chain from Chahine and was on the phone with the fugitive in Lebanon. Does it not bother him that he was trying to do a big business deal with a terrorist financier?

Talal Chahine: Hezbollah’s American Financier Allowed to Flee U.S.

Of course, not. The only reason the deal didn’t go through is that the Feds won’t remove liens they’ve placed on the ongoing business.
My recommendation: Be happy La Shish is losing money and customers. But be sad that it’s still open for business, and that Abu Porno allowed Chahine to flee the country. Don’t eat there. And don’t eat at the franchises owned by those who seem all too sympathetic to him.
Hard to feel sympathy for them. Just outrage at their indifference.
**** UPDATE, 01/06/07, 6:23 p.m.: Many readers have asked me about which Middle Eastern restaurants or other Arab-owned establishments I recommend. It has long been my position that, given these are all-cash establishments, you should seek out Christian-owned Mid-East restaurants.
Although I can’t speak for other areas, for my Detroit-area readers I HIGHLY RECOMMENDKabobgy” restaurant in Southfield, which is owned by Edward Moussawer. Moussawer, a very patriotic American and Lebanese Maronite Christian, is a supporter of the Christian Lebanese Forces, headed by anti-Syrian Christian Lebanese hero Samir Geagea. It is unfortunate that, since this summer’s War with Hezbollah, many Jews who are ignorant and don’t know the difference have stopped patronizing Kabobgy.
Another restaurant featuring Middle Eastern food, also owned by Christans, is Southfield’s “Flaming Kabob” (two locations), which is owned by Chaldeans (Iraqi Catholics).

If you know any, please Debbie give us a list of all businesses owned by muslims in America.
Or tell us where to look for them other than by Google.

I know that my sister’s family and I have stopped eating at La Shish and I thank Debbie for bringing their affiliations to my attention. It is really hard NOT to lump ALL Muslims into one category of Ôø?Anti-American Muslim Extremists”. Lebanese food is one of my favorites. But I will probably not eat at ANY such restaurants again unless I KNOW they are not supporting the downfall of western civilization. In fact, IÔø?ve tended to stay away from any business that is run by people that even look middle eastern. I know this is unfair, racist etc. But this is my country, my culture, my family, and my life that is at stake. I am obligated to error on the side of survival! And I apologize to those who are caught in the middle of all this. Maybe a black list is exactly what we need so we CAN be fair. Until then, this is the way IÔø?ll deal with it all.

Anyone know if they prepare their food helal, like all good Muslims should? Of course, the FDA and OSHA might have a problem with that. To hear of a business that is nothing more than a front for financing terrorists losing its ass makes this an even better shabbis. L’Chaim. Shalom.

I ate my last meal there a year ago. Sorry Ahmed, Khalil and friends–I didn’t know who you guys really were–nor who you really worked for.

Boycott all muzlum businesses and ostracize the islamists, personally. They are here ONLY for the money to send back home for various reasons. These “people” don’t give a $hit about American history, American culture, American ideals. They don’t want to become Americans – they want to transform America into an islamic shithole.
Too bad for all those “moderate” muzlums who might be caught up in your boycott…until they come out and strongly condemn the actions of the “extremists” (and don’t prevaricate, qualify, or mince words – as they usually do), they must suffer the same consequences.

I drove by La Shish on Hall Road in Macomb County yesterday (Saturday) at about 11:30 a.m. and there was only ONE car in the parking lot. It could have been too early for lunch, but vehicle traffic was wall to wall. Maybe word is getting around that these people (and their restaurants) are persona non grata.

Mmmm … Kabobgy. Here’s a lip-smacking review. And as an added bonus, they also serve wine.
It’s on NW Highway between 12 Mile and 696.

I just saw a commercial for the CD DVD stripper.. no not porn but a device that strips the plastic cover off of new CD’s and DVD’s it shows a poor helpless Idiot struggling with a knife trying to remove the protective plastic wrap, cost $19.99..but wait act now and receive a second stripper for free. This is what’s going to destroy America.. “progress”. God save us all. The future is here.

I will not patronize any Muslim business that deals in cash. They are notorious tax cheaters and so are many other immigrants in cash businesses such as taxis, restaurants, and Korean green grocers in NYC. Muslims are very big in white collar crime here what with bootlegged cigarettes and stolen baby formula and hacked (unlocked) cell phones

I had compiled a list of DC and Maryland restaurants to boycott. All of them are Moslem owned and going by the newsletters and newspapers they subscribe, its not hard to figure how much they hate Christians. I went to this Turkish restaurant that at that time had a newsletter urging pious American Moslems to donate liberally to the cause of their brethren (Pakistani terrorist groups) in India so that the glory of allah could be revealed! There were some very offensive articles by CAIR members in another newspaper; anti-Christian articles that made me so angry that I walked out before my order was finished. As far as Caribou Coffee is concerned, I never drank it, but after reading Debbie’s post on it, I’ve influenced dozens of my friends who are Caribou patrons to boycott it. Some of the Caribou regulars are very patriotic Americans and were obviously upset because they did not know what Caribou was into. Right now, they not only boycott Caribou, but every Mozlem owned restaurant.

Anonymous twit,
If possible, post some links to these publications you were talking about. If they’re not available, you should obtain hard copies, create a blog or website, scan the newspapers, and post them.
This would be a good way to finally expose them and the big lie that muzlums come to America to become Americans.
If you cannot do either of the above, then let us know where we can obtain these publications. Also, are these publications available in English?

Thee_Bruno on January 8, 2007 at 10:32 am

These newspapers and newsletters are published by Moslem organizations like ISNA, CAIR and other small Moslem organizations. You’ll generally find them near the entrance. Near the newsletters, you may also find CAIR pamphlets with tips on how to embrace islam (for kafirs) and tips on how to lead kafirs to islam (for Moslems)!
One of these days, I’ll go on a Moslem restaurant tour and collect these and post them online after scanning.
Also, most of the restaurants and groceries in places like Chicago’s Devon Street (referred to as mini-Pakistan at times) are owned by Indian and Paki Moslems. Many of their customers are Moslems too. You can tell by their long unkempt beards and smelly bodies, and names like Ahmed or Khan.
Since I can perfectly understand Urdu, its shocking whenever I hear them discuss current political issues as a group. Everything that Bush does seems to give them an opportunity to lash back in the form of “severe action” by directly or indirectly supporting Paki terrorists. Well, they just need an excuse to follow the teachings in their holy quran. Avoid those restaurants even if the food is supposedly very tasty.

I agree- a website showing these types of things is a great idea. I live in dearbornistan and could collect all sorts of material/photos showing what islamification will do to an American town if left unchecked. Just today i saw a new billboard in west dearborn (so far, much less islamified than the east side of the city)- advertising AT&T cell phone service, ALL in arabic. Why in the hell is that necessary?

live from dearbornistan on January 8, 2007 at 2:34 pm

live from dearbornistan,
I’m sorry to hear about that, and I’m sorry about what’s going on in your town and in my country.
The reason why the ad was in Arabic is because of pandering companies who defer to these non-Americans in search of the almighty dollar. It’s like what you see all over America regarding ads in Spanish. These companies employ such practices at the risk of alienating true Americans. All I can say is to notify AT&T, express your displeasure, then never buy any of their services, ever. As I said before; these foreign dogs do not come here to become Americans – they hate this country. These skells NEVER assimilate.
Starting a blog or website is very easy. If you can create one and display those newsletters and newspapers, you’d be doing the country a service. Thankfully, I don’t live in an area dominated by these scumbags, otherwise I’d collect the newsletters and do the same. You can send me some and I’ll see what I can do, however, giving out my address or PO Box publicly on this blog would not be wise because of all the LIBERAL stalkers and islamic maniacs.
In the meantime, all I can suggest you do is boycott as many of their businesses as you can, and ostracize them, personally. Believe me, they hate you, so don’t feel as if you’re committing some crime.
