Muslim Who Attacked Man on Subway with Hammer Has “History of Rape, Robbery, Assault”

By Debbie Schlussel
Yesterday, I told you about a Muslim’s brutal assault with a hammer on a Black man on a Philadelphia subway train, as he shouted “Allah!” and other Arabic.
Well, the Muslim attacker has been caught:

Thomas Scantling, 26, of Philadelphia, was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and related charges, police said. . . .
“He has a long criminal history including rape, robbery, assault, narcotics violations,” [Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles] Ramsey said.

But predictably, all news stories about this omit anything about “Allah” and Arabic and claim that the guy is “mentally unstable”–which is, per usual, the convenient claim of all Muslim violent crime perpetrators once they are caught. What is it about this weird mental illness of trying to kill people in the name of Allah, which conveniently only strikes Muslims?
Doesn’t sound like any mental illness to me. It sounds like something call Islam.
Oh, and another thing, remember when far-left filmmaker Michael Moore said that 9/11 would not have happened if the passengers were Black because Black people would allegedly beat up the hijackers?
Well, as I noted yesterday, not only did all of the passengers on the train car stand by and watch the violent, brutal attack on DeWayne Taylor, they actually walked away. And they were all Black. I’m reposting the video in this incident to show you the Michael Moore hypothesis being debunked.

Philly Police Commissioner Ramsey agrees that the passengers should be ashamed:

Ramsey criticized other riders for standing by when the assailant entered the train with his 5-year-old son, directed the boy to a seat, calmly pulled a hammer from a backpack and attacked a man dozing in a nearby seat.
At least 10 other riders were in the car, yet no one interfered as the attacker repeatedly struck the victim in the train car and later out on a platform, Ramsey said on “Today.”
“They better pray they’re never a victim, because if someone was attacking them that way they would certainly hope someone would step forward and help, and it starts with stepping forward and doing something yourself,” Ramsey said.

He should be ashamed that he ignored the very blatant Islamic angle to this.
This isn’t about mental illness. It’s about Islam.
Ignore it as he might, the jihad is still here. And it’s not going away. It’s getting worse.
Thanks to reader Paul for the update.
**** UPDATE: Reader Steve and Covenant Zone remind me of the August attack in Vancouver, also by a Muslim, Khalid Alzghoul, during which he attacked nine people, hitting them all on the head with a hammer on the same day as the city’s Gay Pride parade. Again, declared “mentally ill.” Uh-huh.

Yup. Getting worse. And you’re either part of the problem or part of the solution. There are no inncocent by-standers.

Perhaps you can assert that Islam is a mental illness that triggers violence towards non-muslims through religious preachings and practises. A death penatly(or a life sentence) would be the perfect antidote for this infection.

Islam is not the only problem here.
Given his history, why was he not in jail? How stupid/uncaring/etc. does one have to be in order to qualify to be a judge?

What is it about islam that brings out the “best” in the barbarians?
islam = the religion of violence and murder…just ask any of its tens of millions of victims over the ages.

Omar Ahmad, Chairman of CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) said it best;
— “Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth.” —
I donít know the concealed carry laws in Pennsylvania, but now-a-days, most states have shall issue laws. Meaning that if a resident meets the criteria and is able to pass a background check to purchase a firearm, then that person shall be issued a concealed carry permit if requested.
If your state is not a shall issue state, then itís crucial that you lobby your legislature. If more folks exercised their 2nd amendment right to carry a firearm, and actually carried one, maybe many of these types of attacks would be stopped in their tracks. Viewing this video, the attack went on for a very long time. Long enough for someone to step up and stop the potentially deadly attack with justified lethal force.
A double tap would certainly have been justified.

You’d have to be a rather large, strong man to even attempt to interfere in that attack. Had I been a witness to the attack, I would have assumed the man was crazy or on drugs. Therefore, I would have run away and called for police assistance. We all saw what it took to bring down Rodney King…

You’re a coward.

The victim of this horrific hammer attack simply cannot catch a break!
police sources told Fox 29 News the beaten subway rider has been victimized again — this time by a petty thief.Someone picked up that phone and sold it on the street for about $150. That was caught on videotape as well, sources told Fox 29 News.
The alleged thief is seen on a surveillance tape after the 20-year-old beating victim, Dewayne Taylor, and his alleged attacker, 26-year-old Thomas Scantling, tumbled onto a SEPTA platform.

Yeah the people in the subway car should be ashamed. But they won’t be. I saw at least two men between the age of 20 and 45.
It shouldn’t surprise anyone these days. Only you can be truly responsible for your own safety any place you go. Seems every other day we’re treated to another one of these episodes some where.
I heard a new one today.
The reason my friend doesn’t carry a concealed weapon: I’d use it!
Well, okaaaay.

eh,in this case islam was an excuse. he should be in jail though

This attack is frightening, especially in the shadow of the 9-11 anniversary. What is even more frightening is that only 7 short years after 9-11, Americans have FORGOTTEN their duty to protect each other. At least 5 people moved out of the way of this turd as the attack ensued, and together they could have subdued him. Thank God the victim was not servely injured. Shame, shame shame on those a-holes who didn’t help that poor guy.

A reader at my blog sent me an email pointing out the mention of hammers as terrorist weapons in this article,23599,24185734-2,00.html
linked to in this post:
So, the Philly attacker may have been just following the terrorist playbook.
Stay awake, unerschrocken.
And thanks to Robert for the clue.

I have never before heard someone say that Michael Moore said that 9/11 would not have happened if the passengers were Black because Black people would allegedly beat up the hijackers. I was wondering if you could tell me when/where he said this. Thanks.

Perhaps you guys are ignoring the fact that even though there were 10 other people on the train, how many of them were adults? how many of them had children with them that they did not want to endanger? Many of the bystanders actually called the cops and a fellow passenger rode with the victim in an ambulance. So before you call these people heartless bystanders, take into account the fact that you need a shit load of guts to stand up to an adult male with a hammer.
