Here’s a Taste of the Pro-HAMAS/Hezbo Rally in Detroit; UPDATE: Link Fixed, Watch the VIDEO

By Debbie Schlussel
**** UPDATE, 01/09/09, 9:38 a.m.: The link below to the HAMAS Rally report is fixed. Please watch. Also, if someone can copy and send to me, I’d appreciate it. ****
The classy Ron Savage, the only reporter at Detroit’s FOX 2 News who is truly objective, covered the Thursday rallies at the McNamara Federal Building. (Ron is also a fireman.) The thing is that all the news stations only covered the initial rally and most did not cover the parade or the rally inside a Detroit Methodist Church later. The Muslims were not peaceful even at the event Ron covered, as they chanted (in Arabic) their support of Hezbollah and spilling blood and, in English, of establishing Palestine “from the river to the sea.” Plus, there were no “Israelis” in our camp. We were all Americans–Christians and Jews, and the Muslims were mostly not Palestinians.
Still, I think Ron captured the essential difference between the two sides–the Muslims are full of hate and bigotry and the Westerners (again, we had both Christians and Jews in our crowd) just want peace and to be left alone and safe.
Watch the clip.

those first 2 loser interviewed should go back to where they came from, go live in gaza and shut up .i bet they have a different story if they lived in fear of rockets attacks everyday. hamas has done great thing for there people yeah right ,they cant even pay there people to pick up the trash . they are lucky the jewish state is easy on them or the gaza strip would have been flatten by now if the old warhawks of the jewish state were in power.

I couldn’t find the clip using the link. Did Fox take down the story?

The video doesn’t appear when you first click on the above link (now at least), but I typed Ron Savage’s name in the search box and saw a list and found the video that way. I thought Ron did a great job. Contrasting the Palestinian supporters’ comments vs the Israel supporter’s comment says it all…

Try this:
[the Muslims are full of hate and bigotry and the Westerners (again, we had both Christians and Jews in our crowd) just want peace and to be left alone and safe.]
That’s funny cuz the Vatican believes otherwise:

That last part didn’t come out right because of brackets I used. It should had read:
[the Muslims are full of hate and bigotry and the Westerners (again, we had both Christians and Jews in our crowd) just want peace and to be left alone and safe.]
That’s funny cuz the Vatican believes otherwise:
Cardinal Martino, one of the Popeís closest aides, said: ìDefenceless populations are always the ones who pay. Look at the conditions in Gaza: more and more, it resembles a big concentration camp.î
ìViolence, wherever it comes from and whatever form it takes, must be firmly condemned. The military solution is never an option,î he[The Pope] said.

Thanks for the link.
As a Roman Catholic who wishes to live in freedom, I can assure you that the vast majority of Catholics in the U.S. support Israel. Israel’s efforts in Gaza are consistent with the Roman Catholic “just war” doctrine.
In my view, any citation of generally pacifist principles in the context of Islamist inspired violence is lazy.
Religious leaders may have the right or even the obligation to teach that it is more noble to die as a pacifist than to fight for one’s life. However, they do NOT have the right to condemn people who choise to fight for their rights. Being Ghandi is NOT a requirement for Catholics.
Any discussion of Gaza that does not include the religious doctrines of Islam or the contents of the Hamas Charter is both lazy and misleading.

The muslims believe in resolving their grievances with violence and intimidation (and it seems that EVERYTHING offends them); whereas the People of the Book (i.e. the Christians and Jews) resolve their grievances with peaceful, non-violent methods.
In other words, the muslims are barbarians, and the People of the Book are civilized.
That’s why islam is incompatible with Western values and society.

How ironic: a Muslim settler in the United States preaches that Israelis must go “back to Europe”. And nobody will tell him that, according to his own logic, he must go back to whatever hole he crawled from.
Why do we tolerate our enemies on our land?

And of course, there are all the American flags at the Palestinian rally as opposed to no American flags at the Israel rally.

Time to plan for the NEXT rally, whenever that may be. I’m glad that you were kind enough to call! I made a very modest effort to enlist others, but I wish I did more. We need to keep a phone/e-mail contact list of anti-jihad, anti-genocide, pro-Israel, pro-America, pro-freedom patriots. These other people, with alien values hostile to ours, need to be effectively countered. And we see how their side’s links work–they summon their clan on-the-spot, practically–brothers, uncles, cousins, nephews, sons and daughters, inter alios. We ought to work harder, doing ever better–mobilizing, using the best props and techniques.

We’re waiting for Debbie’s own video. However, the FOX NEWS report illustrates the divide between the two sides. There is nothing in common between those that support Israel’s demise and those who support the right of Jews to live in security and peace in the only Jewish State in the world. Let’s never forget that difference.

NormanF on January 9, 2009 at 3:16 pm

No wonder I didn’t see you, DS–you were on the OTHER side of the barrier! I never woulda thought it. Ahead of the vanguard–you go!

You’re a Valiant and Brave Warrior.
Not only is WHAT you do IMPORTANT, but WHERE; you’re on the Front-Line both in Cyber-Space on the Web, AND Physically in the Jihad Capitol of America, Metro Detroit and its Ground-Zero in Dearborn.
