Wall St. Journal, MSM Whitewash Guilty Canadian Muslim Honor Killers
They’re not Muslim Murderers. They’re “Exotic Immigrants.”
I don’t think I need to repeat the particulars regarding the Canadian Muslims found guilty, yesterday, of murdering three daughters and one of the wives in the polygamous Islamic family in an honor killing. Canadian media have covered it for months, repeatedly making excuses for the “family” and usually refraining from the one common thing that unites most honor killers: they are Muslim. But what is jaw-dropping (but which I should be used to by now in over ten years of this BS) is today’s Wall Street Journal exercise in apologism that parades as “reporting” by Alistair MacDonald.

Mr. MacDonald only once mentions the word Muslim (and never Islam), and only when he is repeating the name of an organization from one of the many apologists whose excuses he reprints: that these Afghan “immigrants” were found guilty because they are “exotic” immigrants. And that’s only in the online edition. In the same article in the print edition of today’s Wall Street Journal, Islam and Muslim are words that simply never appear in the article. And in both version of the article, MacDonald never once alludes to the religion that has cornered the market on honor killing murders. He repeatedly makes excuses and uses the euphemism “immigrants” for Muslims as a way of explaining away what is obviously not common to most immigrants unless they are Muslim. He talks about how there have only been 15 honor killing convictions in Canada since 1954, as if this means there aren’t a lot of honor killings. Uh-huh, because Muslims never ever get away with crimes. They never cover up what was in fact an honor killing, trying to make it look like something else when they get caught.
MacDonald refers to the murdered first wife of the polygamous, honor-killing patriarch in this family, but refused to mention which religion it is that both has many wives and engages in honor killing. Is it Wicca? Shintoism? Yup, it’s another case of “Guess the Religion.” But, because, the answer is so obvious, you don’t win a prize. In fact, the prize seems to go to the “reporter” who tries hardest to avoid reporting on Islam when it is behind anything but positive PR spun from phoniness. And today’s prize goes to Old MacDonald, who sadly isn’t relegated to the farm, but instead gets to “report” and whitewash Islam for the Wall Street Journal.
Here is the article. Tell me if you see the word Islam, Muslim, or any form thereof, other than in the last sentence (where, again, it is only the name of an organization of apologist jihadists). And tell me the number of excuses you can count (hint: more than the fingers on your hands). Oh, and check out his cute little definition of “integration”: homeownership and speaking English. Huh? Nidal Malik Hasan and Mohammed Atta spoke English and either one of ’em could have owned a home. This is “integration?” Frickin’ hilarious. Here’s a hint: if you have several wives and murder your own daughters for dating “unapproved boyfriends,” you ain’t integrated.
A Canadian court found two Afghan immigrant parents and their eldest son guilty of murdering four female family members in a so-called honor killing Sunday, the climax of a case that’s transfixed Canada and sparked a wider debate about clashing cultures amid the country’s large immigrant population.
Mohammad Shafia, his wife, Tooba Mohammad Yahya, and eldest son, Hamed, were found guilty of killing Mr. Shafia’s three teenage daughters and Mr. Shafia’s first wife in an elaborately staged, though ultimately bungled, car accident in June 2009. The defense argued the four died after a late-night joy ride went awry.
The four-month trial opened a relatively rare window onto honor killings in North America. The crime, where victims are murdered for bringing shame on their family, is increasingly common in western European countries like Britain and Sweden, which have seen large-scale immigration from countries where researchers say the custom happens most—such as Pakistan, India and Turkey.
Even as Canada and the U.S. increasingly welcome in a growing number of immigrants from the same places, high-profile court cases of honor killings are still comparatively uncommon. The heinous nature of the Shafia case has shocked Canadians, proud of their relatively open borders and the country’s reputation for integrating immigrants.
In Canada, there have been only 15 convictions related to honor crimes since 1954, with all but three after 1999, according to research from Quebec’s Universite de Sherbrooke.
Some commentators have argued honor crimes have risen in Canada as the country’s ethnic profile has changed. In the 1970s, Canada’s biggest source of immigration, or 36%, was Europe, according to government statistics. By 2006, one in two new immigrants came from Asia, with Europe accounting for 16% of new entries. Other academics argue violence against women exists across all communities, but when it is committed by some ethnicities it is called an honor crime.
The prosecution argued it was honor rooted in Afghan tribal traditions that led Mr. Shafia to cleanse the shame he felt from the conduct of his rebellious daughters, Zainab, 19 years old, Sahar, 17, and Geeti, 13. The eldest two took unapproved boyfriends, and all three disobeyed their father through their independent behavior and sometimes-revealing dress. Rona Amir Mohammad, who was Mr. Shafia’s first spouse in the polygamous family, was killed, the prosecution argued, because she was a troublesome first wife and lenient step mother.
The trial filled the Canadian press with the macabre details of a murder in which police believe the victims were drowned and then placed into a car that was then pushed into a lock outside of Kingston, near Toronto. The local press printed police transcripts of a ranting Mr. Shafia calling his daughters “whores” and boasting, “nothing is more dear to me than my honor.”
In recent decades, immigrants in Canada have ranked as the world’s most integrated among North American and European nations receiving large numbers of new arrivals, according to the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research, a U.S. think tank that compared indicators such as homeownership and learning English.
But Canadian commentators have seized on the Shafia case as an example where immigrants aren’t required to integrate enough. They have broadly criticized Canadian public services, including teachers and police, for not intervening when the girls complained of their father’s sometimes-violent discipline. An editorial in the right-of-center National Post newspaper framed the Shafia girls as victims of Canada’s “perverse national habit” of emphasizing “multicultural propriety” over individual welfare.
Alia Hogben, executive director of the Canadian Council of Muslim Women, believes “the system” failed the three because they were treated as “exotic” minorities rather than “ordinary” Canadians.
“Exotic,” indeed. Um, sorry, but as much as Muslims–and their apologists like Wall Street Journal “reporter” Alistair MacDonald–would like to think of themselves as extraordinary and better than all of us, they are as “exotic” as “exotic” dancers and the poles around which they gyrate (with apologies to both the strippers and the herpes-infested pole for the degrading comparison).
And even more phony. Ditto for Wall Street Journal apologist MacDonald’s pretense at reporting.
Canada lets these Muslims in. And so do we. Why, then, are we surprised that these honor killings go on? It’s obvious which religion brings this murderous practice to our shores.
And it ain’t Buddhism.
The problem in this case and so many others like it is not “immigrants,” it’s MUSLIM immigrants. And, frankly, just plain Islam, native or foreign-born.

This funniest thing about this sickening display of Islamo-pandering we see in the MSM is the fact that not one feminist organization has come out to denounce “honor killings.”
If its Islam, brutality towards females gets a pass. And these are the same folks up in arms over the slightest effort to secure equal treatment for Western men.
The hypocrisy is so thick you could cut a knife with it. Are they going to demand Muslims be required to conform to our way of life and live by our values?
Don’t hold your breath waiting for it to happen.
