How I Told Publisher & Author Who Whitewashed Islamic Terrorists Where to Go

By Debbie Schlussel

I’m being asked by Random House to promote a Jewish Islamo-pandering dhimmi’s latest book on guns.  And I won’t.

islamiccrescent.jpg

Because this site is among the most popular political and pop culture news/commentary sites and blogs, I get a lot of inquiries from authors and publishing houses regarding whether I want to receive free promo copies of books and review them here.  Sometimes I do, but not when it involves promoting the work of schmucks like Jewish liberal, pan-jihadist former Wall Street Journal reporter Paul Barrett, who invoked Judaism and even his own bar mitzvah (however failed it apparently was) to promote and whitewash the most extremist Muslims on our shores, including PFLP terrorist, immigration fraud perpetrator, and FBI award revokee Imad Hamad.  Barrett appeared at the anti-Semitic, anti-Israel, tax-funded Arab American National Museum as an apologist against Jews and Israel, promoting these jihadists. And he had the gall to lecture Jews that Muslims don’t hate them because an anti-Semitic imam (who has made several trips to Iran and marched with swastika signs in an anti-Israel rally he organized) invited him to eat at his home. Read all the details here.

Barrett’s absurd book pandering to and dishonestly promoting these people is why I will NEVER help him promote anything else, including his new book, “Glock,” even though my favorite gun is the Glock 19. Shawarma-encrusted asses like propagandist Barrett can go suck it in Riyadh or Bint Jbeil, as far as I am concerned. And anyone in the NRA that likes this cretin can join him there (but, then again, it’s no surprise since the NRA features jihadist Grover Norquist on its board and hasn’t invited me back to speak at their convention, since he made a stink about my work on his Islamic terrorist pal, Sami Al-Arian).  Check out this exchange I recently had with his publicist at Crown, a division of Random House, as I think you’ll like my response:

Subject: GLOCK: The Rise of America’s Gun by Paul Barrett

Dear Debbie,

I’m writing about Paul Barrett, author of the New York Times bestseller GLOCK: The Rise of America’s Gun (Crown) to see if you might be interested in having Mr. Barrett on your show.

GLOCK has been getting an incredible amount of buzz. You may have heard Barrett previously on NPRs “Fresh Air,” “Marketplace,” and “Tell Me More.” The NRA’s Mark Keefe IV praised the book in a review that ran in the Washington Post, the New York Times Book Review called the book, “An engaging history of the most famous handgun in contemporary America,” and USA Today wrote that GLOCK was “succinct and fascinating,” In addition, many of the gun industries biggest players are calling GLOCK a must-read for anyone with an interest in handguns or the firearm industry or even American pop culture.

Based on fifteen years of research, including interviews with numerous former Glock executives, police officials, gun owners, and more GLOCK chronicles the love affair with what truly has become America’s gun. As the Dallas Morning News wrote, “Gun enthusiasts and gun detractors will almost surely read the saga of Glock, told expertly by journalist Paul M. Barrett, with divergent views…His authoritative voice permeates the nonfiction narrative.”

Below is further information on the book. Please let me know if you would like a finished copy, or would like to set up an interview with Barrett.

Best,
Sarah

Sarah:

Isn’t Paul Barrett the same schmuck who wrote a gushing book about the Muslims in the Detroit area and elsewhere in America, using his nominal Jewishness (even invoking his obviously useless and fraudulent Bar Mitzvah) to pander to and promote some of the biggest terrorism supporters, including FBI award revokee, marriage fraud perpetrator, and PFLP terrorist himself Imad Hamad, as “peaceful” and “moderate Americans?” Is his Glock book as filled with BS? If so, it would make great fertilizer. But, fortunately for me, since I live in an apartment, my landlord takes care of making the grass grow.

Thanks but no thanks,
DS

If you are interested in the history of guns in America and the players, it’s been done to death and there are plenty of books you can read to educate you.

Skip anything by Paul Barrett. He’s a fiction writer. Nothing more.

Hollywood on February 20, 2012 at 5:31 pm

Such vindictiveness – you really are a dickhead.

Stephen Barnett on February 20, 2012 at 5:31 pm

No little Stevie, you’re the one who’s pretty vindictive towards DS’s personality by making all sorts of persoanl attacks against her a months by trolling on this blog and made an ass of yourself. So you’re the one who’s the real dickhead jackass!

Debbie, you did the right thing by standing up for what’s right by not promoting Mr. Barrett’s writings who shilled and carried the water for anti-semitic muslims, etc.

“A nation is defined by its borders, language & culture!”

    Sean R. on February 20, 2012 at 7:43 pm

That’s right Sean. The soporific Stephen Barnett comes here and can never offer a compelling point of view to prove DS wrong so he just comes here and trolls with invective a 7th grader laughs at. What a bore!

Stephen, we are ready anytime you want to dismantle DS’ argument. Also, include the link to your blog displaying your megamind, please.

The hate of this people towards Debbs is laughable, pathetic little minds with their little little mosquito size brains(no offense to the intelligent mosquitoes) Debbs has acomplished so much half of which these dimwits would n t even begin to comprehend, stephen guy,you probably wish you were half the woman she is.

I consider it tragic that the NRA is not diametrically opposite the Jihadis – b’cos in the end, that’s what it’ll take to fight the Islamic threat to everyone else. Grover Norquest is one major, but not the only reason why the GOP doesn’t deserve the anti-Islamic vote.

On pro 2nd amendment advocates, how were ones like Charlton Heston, Tom Selleck and others?

Out ‘freaking’ standing Deb! I love you MORE than hollywood!! L

A Glock 19? And here I took you for a 1911 gal 🙂

Hi Debbie. I’m impressed how you got that email and replied in just 9 minutes. H. and I are impressed and would like you to move in with us. We’ll pay for everything and you just provide us with all the mommy/gf services, which is your destiny anyways. You can still continue Schlusseling, of course, and I won’t fire the maid.

A1, always thought Arabs preferred HP steak sauce (House of Parliment) that you were used to under the British.

Ron Wolf on February 21, 2012 at 6:38 pm

So can some one tell me if this Barret fellow is related to Barret…you know “The Barret” maker of the Barrett rifles in Tennesse? bc that s a fine rifle… not that I complain Debbs but, gezz….I am a lifer with the NRA,I like some of what they do,but I admit these are things I didn t know,I knew Grover Norquist is a creep but other things I didn t know.
As far as guns…I dislike the Glock ,for me an FNH five seven or even a Kimber 1911 .45 now you re talking.

Juan on February 21, 2012 at 7:55 am

My only disappointmnet is the language employed. Betetr to demo your articulateness and slay with a sharp laser than lower yourself to their level using a meatcleaver. Still, a very enjoyable rant to savor.

Bill Ford on February 21, 2012 at 9:14 am

Never been a Glock guy myself. I’ve always like the Sig Sauer P229 .40 cal. I have ever since I first picked one up. Its easily concealable & its shorter frame (in comparison to, say, a Baretta or a 1911 .45) allows for quicker & more accurate target acquisition.

Great piece, as usual, Ms. Debbie. Well done, ma’am.

Con Chef (NB) on February 21, 2012 at 10:29 am

Thanks Debbie! I don’t know if Glock is good or bad, but it sounds like this guy is leaning the wrong way. As a proud ownder of a concealed carry permit, I’m with you on this one!

Sean M. on February 21, 2012 at 11:05 am

“Isn’t Paul Barrett the same schmuck….”

Love my Debbie! I didn’t know your site was that popular, my darling Debbie. Even though I shouldn’t be surprised.

I join all those in thanking Debbie for sticking to her principles and for her integrity. These are, unfortunately, very rare qualities in the represnetatives of the media today. I did not know about Paul Barrett’s active Islamic pandering, and my original opinion of him was that he was simply another leftist-leaning deluded fool. This is the kind of stuff he’s said in the past that led me to that view: http://bigthink.com/ideas/950. But looking into this a little further, he’s not merely deluded, but is an active Leftist tool. Let the word be spread.

The Glock 19 is too big for concealed carry. My Smith and Wesson 5 to stay alive 38 airlight is purely self defense and good for only ten to fifteen feet(dinner plate accuracy). My cousin loves his beretta 9mm says it outshoots his buddy’s glock 19, and he just got a kimber (expensive).
I loved the kick and amazing accuracy of the Ruger Dirty Harry 44 mag, unfortunately an impractical carry and it needs both hands.
I am looking for something in a semiauto easy to carry capable of under two inch groups at thirty feet. I am open to suggestions.
As for this Putz (capitol P) Barret he should place the business end of his glock you know where and I am sure his buddy Imad would gleefully pull the trigger for him (Prostate Akbar!)
ps: Thanks for the tip on the now “Quisling”(Not Really Arabs) infiltrated NRA, I am sure Burt must be spinning in his grave with that news. My cousin a card carry member, soon an ex-member I would think. Suggest all NRA’s protest (non violently of course).
Remember what I said about Michigan becoming the next member of the Pan Arabic union. First Madonna avoided Michigan, now Gingrich. Do you really wonder why as our recognized second state capitol is now Dearborn. Don’t believe me ask the FBI.

Ron Wolf on February 21, 2012 at 6:27 pm

RW might I suggest the Taurus PT145. I have 2 of them. 45acp 10rd mag sub-compact. I’m very happy with them.

“Based on fifteen years of research, including interviews with numerous former Glock executives, police officials, gun owners, and more GLOCK chronicles the love affair with what truly has become America’s gun.”

Huh?

Austrian made, Tupperware commando, pistol is “America’s gun”?

Remington, Ruger, Smith and Wesson, Colt, Kimber and many others are America’s guns.

Chris on February 21, 2012 at 7:16 pm

Ron, agree with you that Glock is overrated. I every day open carry a Springfield XDM 9mm.

Love having 20 shots and wouldn’t trade it for that Austrian Tupperware pistol for anything.

One cool point with my XDM – the holster that came with it is made in Israel.

Chris on February 21, 2012 at 7:22 pm

Hmm, Chris your poking fun at Austrian tupperware? Really?
Do you know where your tupperware is made? Try Croatia!
I will stick with my US made Colt 1911 Thank you.

Michael on February 22, 2012 at 3:11 pm

Obviously Paul Barrett needs way more gun training. Glocks have to be constantly cleaned to maintain effectiveness. I have seen Glocks outperform Baretta and Sig in competition.
No I would never holster a Glock inside of my belt because of the easy trigger pull.
A story out of Rangemaster tells of a fellow who shot himself in the femoral artery because he wore his glock inside of his pants. The trigger caught his clothing and got him in the femoral artery thereby killing him.
The best:
1.Baretta
2.Ruger
3.Sig Sauer

Confederate South on February 22, 2012 at 12:24 am

I do not know the finer points of various pistols, but I have shot pistols competitively (just as a beginner). I usually shot a CZ-75 9 mm, although sometimes I shot a Steyr 9 mm. I liked the way the CZ-75 seemed to be an extension of my hand (even though it was made in the “Evil Empire”). I had contempt for Glocks as “plastic pistols” and hated their functional, but ugly, design. Then, I shot one. I found that I immediatel shot better with a Glock (once I got used to the trigger-pull, which at first seemed like a platic cap gun’s). This has nothing to do with whether the author is a creep. I am concerned, just as Debbie, as a Jew, is concerned, with such people who have no connection to Israel and whose Jewishness seems to be an accident of birth; there are similar people, gentiles, who are eager to render themselves dhimmis. I was astonished today when I found out that Obama has apoliged — twice! — to Karzai, a man who would not live an hour, but for the presence of NATO troops, for the inadvertent burning of used Korans in Afganhistan. Debbie, as a believing Jew, who understands the admonition against “graven images,” you should recognize, like me, a Christian, that we appear to be accepting Muslim “idolotry,” the idea that a book of paper and cloth can somehow become be made a “holy object” just by printing Koranic verses on it. No wonder the Muslims riot; they knew that we are ever so willing to abase ourselves for Islam. Any wonder they hold us in contempt?
