Quote of the Day: Hip-Hop Saved the World?

By Debbie Schlussel
Get your barf bag ready.
Rap/hip-hop charlatan Jay-Z (and hubby of Beyonce Knowles)–“slave name”: Shawn Corey Carter–said this to “Best Life” magazine:

[Hip-hop] has changed America immensely. Hip-hop has done more than any leader, politician, or anyone to improve race relations.
Racism is taught in the home … and it’s very hard to teach racism to a teenager who idolizes, say, Snoop Dogg. It’s hard to say, “That guy is less than you.” The kid is like, “I like that guy, he’s cool. How is he less than me?” That’s why this generation is the least racist generation ever.

Uh, no. That’s why this generation is the most racist against White people ever. And the most ignorant, uncultured, slacker, deviance-defined-down generation ever. Hmmm . . . I guess Jay-Z forgot about Snoop Dogg leading the protests to free Tookie Williams. You know, the racist killer, who targeted White people and murdered them in cold blood.
Idolizing Snoop Dogg ain’t a mark of anything positive. Don’t try it at a job interview . . . unless you’re interviewing for a job as personal assistant to a pimp, right-hand man to a drug kingpin, position at a record company or movie studio, or a slot in the Obama administration.
Reality check: Hip-hop has done more to take America down than anything other than big government and the ’60s/’70s counterculture generation.
Who needs Islam, when you have hip-hop? And it’s no coincidence that most major hip-hop acts are Muslims. Birds of a feather.

God grief! What a goddamned moron this guy is!!
“Racism is taught in the home…”
Exactly right! Underprivileged black kids are taught that whitey is to blame for their plight. They hear it at home, and they hear it from the pulpits of black churches.
..and this moron thinks ‘Snoop Dogg’ is the best example of what underprivileged black youth should aspire to be.
I’ve said it before….I’ll say it again: If Martin Luther King were alive today….he’d wish he were dead.

The Black racist hubris….the Black racist hubris.

Hello?! That is insane! Hip “RAP” hop music actually breed and inspire more racists, haters, thugs, criminals, murderers and misogynists from the black American community than any other music in the American history.
Give us great jazz and blue music than “k”rap music any day.

Yeah the honorable lifestyle that is repeatedly preached by such standard bearers as tupak, biggy and snoop dog is obviously a plus to our country. If not for those guys the “n” word, bitches and ho’s, bling and bust a cap wouldn’t be as wide spread. Neither would illigitamate children with the monicker baby momma, baby daddy and the higher crime associated with that culture. Thank G-d for hip hop, eh? Anyone hear about the Oakland PD tragedy? Yeah, that’s something. Wonder when we’ll see Al or Jesse extend condolences to the families of the slain cops.

This makes me ill, and it should make all black viewers of this website ill. Hip Hop is having the world alright….saving people from becoming THEIR OWN PERSON! Saving people from THINKING FOR THEMSELVES!! That’s the only things this so-called music has saved.
I’m one of the extremly few young survivors of this garbage they call music.

Jay-Z is right! I was wasting my time with Gershwin, Ellington, and Fitzgerald. I wiled away countless unproductive hours reading classic literature, going to college, dating a young lass with similar tastes and upbringing. Then after hearing Jay-Z, I realized how I should be slappin’ the bitch around, cuz she didn’t “respect” me. My eyes opened to how the “system” kept me down, so I dropped out of that “racist” school. I packed me a gat, so I could sell dope without the “man” messin’ with my bidnaz. Now, with two felonies on my sheet, I got street cred. Life is good.

“Reality check: Hip-hop has done more to take America down than anything other than big government and the ’60s/’70s counterculture generation.” Debbie, one of the most truest statements you have ever written.

everyone should be like snoop dog- illiterate, talk incomprehsively like they’re psychotic or at best have a mouth full of marbles all the time, work to free one of the worst gangsters and wholesale killers of the last 40 years, and produce music that denigrates women and authority in the form of the police, promotes drug use and blaming “whitey” for your own laziness and inability to be a productive member of society. yeah.. right.. sure..

Snoop Dogg is a very conflicted man. Didn’t he recently convert to Islam? Previously he has produced hard core pornography. And you can bet he still uses plenty of street drugs.
