DISGUSTING! Obama Administration Debates Apology to Pakistan

By Debbie Schlussel

You know what’s long past “getting old”?  The Obama multi-apologies to Afghanistan, Pakistan, the Muslim world, etc. for everything America does right or every single tiny mistake in war.  Today’s Wall Street Journal has a whole cover story entitled, “U.S. Agonizes Over Apology to Pakistan.”  Huh?  This is the same Pakistan that gave away our nuclear secrets to the North Koreans and Iran.  The same Pakistan that gave Osama Bin Laden safe haven for who knows how long, knowing full well he was there.  The same Pakistan, whose ISI intelligence service has been aiding and abetting Taliban terrorists against America and other Islamic terrorists who murdered Westerners and Jews in the Mumbai Massacre.  We should be apologizing to these schmucks?  Are you kidding?

The article is embarrassing and would be hilarious, if the joke wasn’t on us.  This is the Keystone Koppery of foreign diplomacy.  This is how you induce the rest of the world to laugh at you. Um, when will America get a single apology for the many Americans’ lives lost because of Pakistani complicity in terrorism attacks on civilians and U.S. soldiers? As we know, these constant apologies only embolden these cretins to kill more Americans and target our soldiers. Oh, and by the way, Pakistan is run by the husband of the late Benazir Bhutto, who everyone–all the moronic, fake, know-nothing “experts” like Hanan Qahwazi Tudor (a/k/a “Brigitte Gabriel” a/k/a “Nour Saman” a/k/a “Jews Give Me Your Money While I Tell You What You Want to Hear in My Obnoxious Arabic Accent and Give You a Completely Fraudulent Life Story”)–predicted would be this great liberal, moderate friend of the U.S.?

For nearly six months after U.S.-led forces accidentally killed two dozen Pakistani troops at the Afghanistan border, officials at the highest reaches of the Obama administration have been locked in a heated debate over what might appear to be a small step—apologizing for the loss.

Apologize to THEM for Anything? Hell, NO!

The U.S. had expressed “regret” for the Nov. 26 deaths. But whether to publicly apologize, at the risk of appearing weak to Pakistan or American voters, was argued in dozens of video conference calls, nearly 20 high-level White House meetings and hundreds of confidential emails.

The administration came to the brink of saying sorry several times. One mission to deliver an apology by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was aborted midflight. . . .

The drawn-out debate shows how the U.S. remains confounded by efforts to repair relations with Pakistan. It was complicated by election year politics. And it revealed tensions within the Obama administration’s national-security team, which on issues involving Afghanistan and Pakistan has struggled to reach consensus and deliver a coordinated message.

Advocates of apology, in particular among U.S. diplomats, said it was the best way to mend relations. . . . The debate began almost immediately after Nov. 26 last year. On that day, a 150-man U.S.-Afghan commando team near the Pakistan border came under attack and called in air support, according to U.S. officials. U.S. helicopters fired on two Pakistani border posts. The Pentagon said Pakistani troops at the posts opened fire first, which Pakistan has denied. Pakistan has accused the U.S. of deliberately firing at its troops. . . .

In late December, the Pentagon released its investigation. The U.S. concluded both American and Pakistan troops erred. Islamabad rejected the finding.

On Dec. 21, the night before the Pentagon’s investigation was released, top U.S. policy makers convened for a 5 p.m. secure video teleconference and agreed to apologize. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta wasn’t enthusiastic but didn’t object, Jeremy Bash, Mr. Panetta’s chief of staff, told the group, according to officials. . . .

Mrs. Clinton’s chief policy aide, Jake Sullivan, told colleagues the U.S. should acknowledge its mistakes. He argued that an apology would strengthen Washington’s hand in pressing Pakistan to step up its fight against militants, according to officials in the debate.

Michele Flournoy, then the undersecretary of defense for policy, suggested language that apologized for the “unintentional and tragic” deaths but didn’t accept full responsibility, officials said. Ms. Flournoy, who has since left the administration, told the group the U.S. risked the issue festering.

On Dec. 22, Mr. Little, the Pentagon spokesman, read the revised expression of “regret” but without an apology.

The story goes on and on and on. It’s simply ridiculous. We never should apologize for what happens in the heat of battle, while Pakistan pretends to be our ally but wars against us behind our backs and sometimes in plain view.

Still, it begs the creation of a new joke: How many Obama administration officials does it take to screw in a light bulb?

Well, none of them can make it because they are too busy apologizing to our enemies.

But I hear they are available to apologize to the light bulb.

Two more American fatalities in Trashcanistan today. I’m not hearing any apologies for those.

I am profoundly sorry that we have a leader who is so bereft of self-respect and even the rudiments of unfeigned patriotism. He has been a burden to those who have served under him, and especially to those unfortunate enough to have been in the military during his tenure. Even though I never voted for this mockery of a man,I must express my deepest regret even having to be associated with this Administration as a citizen. I do profoundly understand the anger and disappointment that Mr. Barack Obama represents to so many at home and abroad. He has diminished our country and society during his tenure. There is no excuse for him, and I will not even try to offer one.

Worry01 on May 18, 2012 at 5:25 pm

You spoke for me as well, Worry01. Amen.

JeffE on May 18, 2012 at 8:20 pm

    Dear Worry01,

Your post is full of venom and misinformation. What are you talking about? This President has killed far more Islamic terrorists by far then the Bush Administration has ever done. He has gone after Al-Qaeda world wide! Does it frustrate you that you can’t paint him as an Islamist? So sorry.

Your statement about “bereft of unfeined patriotism is verbally a non-sequitor. It is a double negative (e.g., it makes no sense). As a citizen I am embarassed by your disrespect for an American President. You may not have voted for him but you are certainly unpatriotic when you show such comtempt and disrespect for a duly elected American President chosen by a clear majority of voters. Do you prefer that the American people have no choice in whom we select as President?
You are so blinded by your hatred you are incapable of assessing anything this President in an impartial way so perhaps you should resign your citizenry or at least not vote in an election until you are capable of rational thought(that may be a very long time). I hope your own venom does not destroy you in the mean time. Best.

A side note: I’ve noticed that at certain points when one frequents this site, one of the paid ads on one of the sides is a group supporting Obama’s capitulation to the gay lobby on the issue of “gay marriage” and urging visitors of this site to click to support the efforts to radically redefine the institution of marriage (the euphemistic misnomer “marriage equality”) to suit the whims and expediencies of political correctness – and the incessant demands of certain activist groups.

Wasn’t there an incident in Afghanistan where the ISI opened-fired on US Troops AFTER a meeting?

DS said it ALL. How sad we have become!

Skunky on May 18, 2012 at 6:10 pm

Hey Skunky, I did apologize for Barack Obama being the President of the United States. 😉

    Worry01 on May 18, 2012 at 6:14 pm

The Indians know all about the Pakis.

They support terrorism and do everything they can to undermine and weaken their neighbor.

The ISI supports a witch brew of Islamic terrorist groups from Al Qaeda to the Laskar e-Taiba. There is nothing moderate about that policy.

What’s amazing is that we support Pakistan even though it acts like our enemy and we treat India – our friend as though it was our enemy.

If you don’t understand US foreign policy is not winning us friends abroad, outsiders would be right. We’re full of it!

NormanF on May 18, 2012 at 8:20 pm

I get so sick everytime I hear dopes like McCain croak that president Opologize is doing a fine job. Remember when Obummer went on his apology tour at the begining of his reign of error. This is just more of the same with the added twist that we have troops in harms way over in Ohcrapistan. In Pahk-e-stain we have a country that habored Osama bin Sinking and
is a playground for the Taliban scumbags. This feckless president also can’t grasp the fact that these jerks are laughing at us and what the US has become. The only apology that these idiots deserve is a well placed tomahawk missile fired from a US Navy warship. Maybe as an “apology” they can stencil I’m sorry on the side in big red white and blue letters.

Ken b on May 18, 2012 at 7:03 pm

Ultimately we may need to re-do the WWII strategic bombing campaigns on these idiots.

Occam's Tool on May 18, 2012 at 7:22 pm

Heaven forbid we act in any way other than totally deferential to those, given the opportunity, would murder all of us. We must ever be adhering to the unwritten law: It’s forbidden to utter any criticism of anything Islam.
What is this debt we owe them;this respect and sycophantic attention? Why?
Can this ignorance be cured?

lee, of the lower case "l" on May 18, 2012 at 7:40 pm

Its embarrassing.

Apologizing to our enemies doesn’t make them respect us. It only increases their contempt for us.

All the apologies and gazillions in aid to Pakistan haven’t moderated them or made them like us in the least.

This is beyond embarrassing! One expected better of the Obama Administration and even Israel on its most obnoxious days of surrender to Islamic terrorists never sinks this low!

Pakistan owes us lots of apologies but that won’t happen under this Administration as its all our fault.

Plenty of that goin’ around these days.

NormanF on May 18, 2012 at 8:14 pm

Also Norman, repetitive apologies made to the same people for no good reason validates their worst accusations against us not only in their eyes, but in the eyes of others. If we accept the accusation that our military personnel deliberately engage mindless slaughter and commit atrocities on a regular basis, our subsequent apologies would appear to be specious and mocking to the uninformed. We are in fact feeding the propaganda of the Taliban and other Islamic terror groups by making such frivolous apologies.

When we keep referring to ourselve as criminals, the rest of the world will eventually believe it and act accordingly.

    Worry01 on May 19, 2012 at 5:02 am

We should let loose a preemptive strike, then we can say OOOPS!

#1 Vato on May 18, 2012 at 8:57 pm

Ah yes, our illustrious pussy-in-chief.

The same man who doesn’t have the stones to let our troops actually defeat the enemy, but also doesn’t have the stones to bring them home. Instead, he leaves them there to be shot in the back by our “allies” and with no clearly defined mission, mandate or attempt at victory. If that isn’t immoral, I don’t know what is.

Total f’ng scumbag.

Matt on May 18, 2012 at 9:02 pm

Apology? Why the surprise? This former muslim” Obama has bowed to Saudi sheet wearing fascist racist moneygrabbing murderers, apologizes in Egypt for the bad the USA has done to Muslims, apologiged to the thief the muslim thief Karzai in Afghan for accidental burning of the arab mein kampf handbook called the koran.

those tapes released of racist rev. wright who was used by obama, those tapes released this week has Wright saying , para. “obama had a strong knowledge of islam when he came to me that he learned in muslim schools in kenya and indonesia, i think he learned about cristianity from me.”

Bill on May 18, 2012 at 10:39 pm

This is worse than DISGUSTING.

The WH incumbent must go to bed reading the False Apology Syndrome book. His intention is to make himself look good in the eyes of America’s foes and the tsunami of Muslims that are embedded in America. Unsavoury decisions are being made jeopardising the civilised person’s future whilst opening the door to horror in the name of ‘political campaigning.’ An example of megalomaniac delusion. Considering the billions of dollars that are flowing out of the USA coffers to countries like Pakistan, what hope does the USA taxpayer have. Western nations know that Pakistan is the hotbed of terrorism. Terrorist training camps have become a ‘destination industry’ with British Muslims leading the pack.

The WH incumbent will grind everybody down with obfuscation and the sabotaging of civilised society whilst the woolliness of the media’s dishonest reporting will result in us feeling ‘exhaustipated’ too tired to give a shit. Do first world countries need to kowtow to third world countries who have turned their backs on the modern world….wake up people.

Kemal Ataturk in 1924:
‘Countries may vary but civilsation is ONE, and for a nation to progress, it must take part in this ONE civilisation. The decline of the Ottomans began when proud of their triumphs over the West, they cut their ties with European nations. This was a mistake which we will not repeat’.

Of course to-day Obama and Erdogan are ‘peeing in one pot’ and the mess in the ME continues unabated whilst he turns his ‘diplomatic back’. The biggest ruse of our time is ‘allowing mass migration from these ME countries’ under the guise of asylum seeking & Human Rights.

Can we get an apology from Obama’s parents for having sex 9 months before he was born?

Infidel on May 19, 2012 at 3:49 am

Politician from both parties have been kicking the Shariah/Islamic law/finance can down the road for 226 years now and has never faced what is happening when it comes to Shariah/Islamic law/finance, the Koran, and the development of a worldwide caliphate by global jihadists. Don’t you think it is time for our politicians from BOTH political parties face the issue? Please go to YouTube and watch an excellent short video that explains the “peaceful religion of Islam”: Three Things About Islam.

Have you ever read what the Tripoli ambassador told John Adams and Thomas Jefferson in 1785 when they asked him why his Muslim pirates/terrorists hijacked our ships before this nation was formed and became the United States of America? Would the ambassador be considered a terrorist or just a main stream thinking Muslim? (NOTE: After reading the quotes link to the handwritten photocopy of the letter, along with the transcribed version.)

Here is just a part of the March 28, 1786 letter to John Jay, the United States Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Continental Congress, signed by John Adams and Thomas Jefferson concerning their conversation with the Tripoli ambassador. (Thomas Jefferson. “The Papers of Thomas Jefferson”. Princeton Univ. Press. pp. 9:358.) As you read the entire letter keep asking yourself if you see any similarities between 1786 and today’s challenges by what the Muslim Brotherhood and their affiliates such as CAIR, ISNA and other unindicted co-conspirators of the Holy Land Foundation terrorist funding trials are trying to force upon us? Why did the Bush and Obama Department of Justice refuse to prosecute them? Here is a part of the 1786 letter from Adams and Jefferson:

“We took the liberty to make some inquiries concerning the Grounds of their pretentions to make war upon Nations who had done them no Injury, and observed that we considered all mankind as our friends who had done us no wrong, nor had given us any provocation.

The Ambassador answered us that it was founded on the Laws of their prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every musselman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.”

I suggest you read the entire letter, ask yourself some questions
The actual letter has been photocopied and it is here:

The typed version is here:

Our politicians had better wake up to the fact you cannot make a good deal with a bad person and you do not trust anyone that worships a pedophile.

Frank Livingston on May 19, 2012 at 5:33 am

Debbie we should be bombing Pakistan and taking over their nukes. That would choke off the Taliban, etc. and let Iran know that having nukes means an end to their regime, not the impunity they expect. Alan West would do that but not Romney or Ozero. DS I recently met a chiropractor in a social setting who told me he was Dr. So and So. It took a lot of will power for me not to tell him I was the Pope. Chiropractors are doctors like con artists are business men. I’m not saying they give a bad massage, just that there’s no medical basis for what they do or say. As a group they do have excellent posture, though.

And our friend Pakistan has been invited to the NATO conference — more than can be said about Israel. Do you think Jewish voters will take note? Duuuuuh

Little Al on May 19, 2012 at 1:16 pm

I’m still waiting for President O’Bama to apologize to American Jews for telling us that we can’t build homes in our eternal capital (i.e. Jerusalem) because we’re Jewish.

I think the President also owes America an apology for issuing a “major peace initiative” on the War Against Israel that was nothing of the sort; just to distract the media away from deteriorating relationships with Pakistan. While Israel’s supporters got all worked up about the President’s utterance of “… A Jewish State with borders based on the 1967 borders with mutually agreed-upon swaps”, the Arabs heard “… A Jewish State with borders….”

The initiative was doomed. The President knew it. Time has proved it was doomed.

The whole “initiative” was a ruse, meant to distract the news media’s attention from our deteriorating relationships with Pakistan. What better way to do that than to have the President publicly utter the word “Israel”.

Now, the heat is off. Quiet diplomacy allows the President to issue an apology to Pakistan

I have to hand it to the President. His diplomacy has had some very clever tactics. Were Debbie Sclussel not paying attention to the matter, this probably would have slipped buy us without much notice.

While we worry about Iran gaining a nuclear bomb, Pakistan already has several. Moreover, Pakistan’s government could be overthrown by Islamic militants in upcoming months. The question of whether Pakistan can actually safeguard its nuclear arsenal is questionable. Therein lies a dilemma for the United States.

It’s a disturbing thing to think about, but we might as well pay attention.

I have an idea. Nuke Islamabad, Karachi, Peshawar, Kandahar, Kabul, Herat, Teheran, Riyadh, Dhaka, Jakarta, Aceh, Kuala Lumpur, Cairo, Damascus, Tripoli, Tyre, Sidon, Mogadishu, Khartoum, Tunis and Sanaa.

And then apologize. But do nothing beyond that!

Infidel on May 20, 2012 at 3:11 am

I assume your post suggesting “nuking” 21 cities in Islamic countries was meant to be funny. If so, it was in very poor taste. If you meant it seriously, can you please explain how this course of action, involving killing many millions of people, would be in the interests of the US or anyone else? I assume humanitarian considerations do not figure in your “mind”set.

    C J Walters on May 22, 2012 at 3:35 pm

No answer from you or any of the other bigoted, racist morons on this site then?(Please don’t try the tired line that Muslims are not a race and that calling for them to be killed in large numbers is not racist. Everyone knows what you mean).

      C J Walters on May 23, 2012 at 3:54 pm

Pakistan’s government is already in bed w/ the Taliban – they just put on the charade of fighting them so that everyone else thinks otherwise.

Remember, it was President Zardari’s late wife Benazir who started that party. The Taliban is a Pakistan born party, not Afghan – any Afghan website you go to will tell you that.

Infidel on May 20, 2012 at 3:15 am

The Taliban and Al Qaeda are in service of Pakistan’s interests to eliminate Western influence upon Afghanistan and also to counter Shi’ite Iran. Pakistan also supports Islamic terrorist groups aimed at the Islamist regime in Iran. It wants to be the boss of the Arabian Sea – a project that arch rival India is looking on with considerable concern.

NormanF on May 20, 2012 at 4:54 am

Pakistan and Iran have a very weird relationship – in some cases, like the oil pipeline that Iran has flowing to Pakistan, the 2 countries are allies. But they have been rivals in other things, like in Afghanistan.

On one hand, Pakistan prefers the Arabs over the Iranians on Shia-Sunni grounds, but they’d still prefer Shia over Indian. That country is in fact a cross b/w various Muslim ethnicities – Indian, Iranian, Afghan, Turkic and Arab.

Although their official enemity w/ India is over Kashmir, the fact is that the Pakis fantasize about resurrecting the Moghul empire by conquering India. Just like the Arabs and Palis are interested in wiping out Israel and making it a part of the Arab empire, Pakistan’s unstated goals are to support the 150m Muslims in India to try and undermine India and ultimately take it over. That goal may sound far fetched, but that’s definitely there, and the existence of jihadi groups like Indian Mujahideen and Students Islamic Movement of India just emphasize that.

Infidel on May 20, 2012 at 5:11 am

The problem with that is 750 million Hindus – which makes India the demographic supergiant and economic powerhouse of the South Asia continent.

Pakistan which in Urdu is named “Land Of The Pure” was founded as an Islamic homeland for Indian Muslims unwilling to live under Hindu hegemony.

Pakistan has no chance of defeating India in any conventional conflict so it has to keep things at a boil by weakening India short of outright war – which led to the Mumbai terrorist attacks in 2008.

Ultimately, the very instability of Pakistan is why its a headache for democratic India but nothing that will allow them to fulfill fantasies of restoring Muslim hegemony over India. Pakistan’s army knows full well what the cost of taking on India would be.

NormanF on May 20, 2012 at 9:43 pm

you would think that after all that pisslam has done to us that our politicians would know that the only thing that ragheads can do is to destroy everything good.yet they still let them into our country where they plot our our leaders have a death wish like the ragheads?
