Has Been Swimsuit Model Now Economic Advisor: “I Marched with Cesar Chavez & I Know What It’s Like to Be Oppressed”

By Debbie Schlussel
It’s always hilarious when aged, has-been former swimsuit models need to find a new job. Some of them promote products for aging women. But others with less cache and so shame take to preaching to the rest of us and giving us advice.
Unless it’s about finding the best bikini for your body shape or the best spray tan, shut up. No one cares to hear your advice.
And so it goes for former swimsuit model Kathy Ireland. Now she has a new advice book for moms and she brags about teaching Sunday School at church.
Perhaps the irony is lost on Ireland (and pandering talk show hosts promoting her) that not long before she taught Sunday school, she was busy posing topless and baring her ass (also here) to the world. Now that she’s too old and can no longer do it, it’s so interesting and convenient that she’s suddenly so moral and preachy.
Meet America’s Newest “Oppressed” Financial Advisor . . .

Kathy Ireland

In a pandering interview with fawning airhead and proud high school grad Detroit radio talk show host, the completely ignorant Frank Beckmann (who also does verbal Lewinskys to Islam and terrorism supporters at every opportunity), I couldn’t stop laughing as I heard new economic advisor Kathy Ireland give advice to Michigan residents about how to deal with the economy. “Maybe it’s time to think about re-locating.” Gee, thanks, Kathy. No one’s ever thought of that before. You’re a genius.
Then, she went on to talk about how she is qualified and experienced enough to give advice to people in a tough economy, moms, and everyone else.

As a kid, I marched with Cesar Chavez . . . . I know what it’s like to be oppressed.

Yup, I hear you, Kathy. It is truly oppressing when you don’t get picked for the SI Swimsuit Edition cover one year, and only the inside. And it’s also oppressive when K-Mart cancels your failed fashion line after paying you millions in licensing fees.
The only thing funnier than Kathy Ireland doling out economic and mothering advice was my fave appearance by her on “Late Night with David Letterman,” during the height of her swimsuit model career.
Letterman asked her if she enjoyed posing in exotic locales. She spoke of posing around “the trees that grow coconuts.” “You mean palm trees,” Letterman said. Ireland: “No, I mean the coconut trees.”
A regular Einstein, this one. But no worries. This brainiac is now marketing “Financial Solutions.” Well, my financial advisor is Kathy Ireland. And Kathy says . . . .
Oh, and before you write me about how this dimwit is a conservative (not that this would make a difference to me), you might wanna check out her website, on which she says, “Our political labels need to end,” and calls the election of Barack Hussein Obama “a miracle.”
They should have a distant retirement home for aging, former models, so that we wouldn’t have to hear from them as they search for a new niche once their posing days are over.
Watch this funny video of an over-anxious Kathy Ireland trying to promote the book (that her co-author–a man–actually wrote, with advice for moms):

Remember, the FOX Business Network had the nerve to put her and this book on as “business advice.” They even asked her what’s going to happen with the stock market. Gag me.

To confirm the hypocrisy, the Hollywood idiots must wear a Cross. It’s part of their culture.
It’s something like: “God approves gay marriage.”
“I’m a conservative but I believe in abortion, gay marriage and I voted for Hussein although I’m a fiscal conservative.”
America is full of crappy people and look what idiot voters like this Ireland chick got us into.

Shut up and model!
A Chavez-hyphenated last name co-worker is related to Cesar. Very liberal.
Very “Cesar Cesar Cesar” vocal too
When I mention Ceasar was against illegal immigration and had a slightly different slant on Unions than most would think I get:
“Well! He was a Teamster…that’s not a real union.”

she’s as oppressed as I am, which is not very much

To all your little sycophantic putzes:
Y’all really SHOULD learn what SARCASM is…and i could TEACH most of you more about Judaism than you’ll ever learn reading the Drudge Report!
As for Ms Ireland, who cares?

I believe she was born in England and became a naturalized American citizen a few years back. Just another foreigner who should keep her freaking mouth shut because NOBODY CARES!!

the forced, false, breathy voice is nauseating.

I don’t know what to say. You have posted a video that has (in 1 minute and 26 seconds) shattered my adolescent fantasies of Kathy Ireland. I suppose, “thanks” is appropriate.

The topless shot is not even attractive. They are fake. Then again, so is everything about her.

Debbie, Debbie, Debbie, I have to say “MEOOW!!”
I don’t think us guys ever looked at her swimsuit issues and thought about financial help. I still won’t. For 46 years of age, my gawd she is still a hottie. As for being a “Has Been Swimsuit Model”, I bet she can still look good in a two piece. Hell if Valerie Bertanelli could pull it off, I know Kathy Ireland can easily pull it off. And her Million Dollar smile is still there.

First, I stated “I don’t think us guys ever looked at her swimsuit issues and thought about financial help. I still wont.” In regards to her business advice.
My beef is with the phrase “Has Been” and “too old”. Personally, I don’t think so.
