Convicted HAMAS Terrorist in Milwaukee Has 2 Strange Fires in 1 Day – Must Be a “Coincidence”
I’ve been following the case of convicted HAMAS terrorist Jamil Sarsour, a Milwaukee grocery store owner, for years . . . especially after my friends, FBI Agent Robert Wright and retired FBI Agent John Vincent, worked on Operation Vulgar Betrayal, investigating HAMAS terrorists on US soil (all of whom were connected with Al-Qaeda), and I wrote about it in my New York Post column (a longer version of which appears here). In 2003, they complained to ABC News’ Brian Ross that the Bush Administration was letting Sarsour and Globally Designated Terrorists walk the streets of America, free as a bird. Now Sarsour, who pleaded guilty to illegal wire transfer/money-laundering charges, has two very interesting fires in the family–on the SAME day–in Milwaukee. Hey, I’m sure it’s just a coincidence. No way a HAMAS terrorist who served four years in an Israeli prison for financing the group is engaged in arson and/or insurance fraud, right? And I’m sure that’s the reason that federal law enforcement agencies are involved in investigating these local Milwaukee fires. Two fires happening to the same family on the same day–happens all the time! Whatta coincidence. It’s no coincidence, either, that Sarsour is Arabic for “cockroach.” Why aren’t we keeping the cockroaches out of America?
MILWAUKEE — Local, state and federal agencies were on the scene near 12th and Vliet Thursday, June 21st after a five-alarm fire destroyed a 120-year-old building containing a neighborhood “Food Castle” grocery store Wednesday morning. The official cause of the fire remains under investigation. As it turns out, the five-alarm fire near downtown Milwaukee has been linked with a garage fire in Oak Creek just hours later.
Abraham Silmi owns the “Food Castle” store, and told FOX6 News a worker discovered the back of the building on fire around 7:45 Wednesday morning.
“I ran around the back to see if there was anybody else in the store. There was a low shelf and I banged my head, and then I ran out of the store. It got out of control real fast,” Silmi said.
Records list Jamil Sarsour of Franklin as the owner of the property, and several other properties along Vliet.
On Wednesday, Jamil Sarsour was speaking with investigators near the Vliet Street fire scene when he received a call alerting him that his brother’s home was also on fire. Oak Creek firefighters responded to a fire at the home of Sarsour’s brother, Imad — who also owns properties on Vliet.
Neither Sarsour brother could be reached for comment on Thursday. However, another brother, Salah Sarsour told FOX6 News the two fires were just coincidence. Sarsour released a statement to FOX6 News, saying:
“Our family is absolutely certain that the two fires in properties owned by my two brothers was absolutely coincidental. There is no reason for us to believe that the fires were anything other than accidental or electrical in origin. We do not suspect anyone of setting the fires or targeting our family. . . .“
Yup, the same HAMAS family has two “accidental,” “electrical” fires in two different locations on the same day all the time. No big deal, habibi.
Jamil Sarsour, the Vliet Street building’s owner, was convicted by an Israeli military court in 1998 of giving the pro-Palestinian group Hamas tens of thousands of dollars. Sarsour spent four years in prison.
Sarsour was also charged in federal court in Milwaukee in 1998 with avoiding reporting requirements in several cash transactions. Sarsour pleaded guilty to those charges in 2004.
Jamil’s brother, Salah told FOX6 News the issues linking his brother to terrorist group is in the past, and has no bearing on Wednesday’s fire.
Uh-huh. Sure it doesn’t. Just like HIV has no bearing on AIDS.
Neither the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives or the Wisconsin Fire Marshals Office would comment on the house fire in Oak Creek, or Jamil’s history with Hamas.
They won’t comment. But you know that’s why they’re there investigating what is definitely NOT accidental and very likely an attempt to get some liquid lightnin’ insurance money.

Just a coincidence, Salah Sarsour insists — though a coincidence that is raising eyebrows.
In 1998, store owner Jamil Sarsour was convicted in both U.S. and Israeli courts as a terrorist moneyman.
An Israeli police report detailed Sarsour’s confession.
“I occasionally send money to organizations that may be connected to Hamas without me knowing it,” the report quotes Sarsour.
For that crime, he served a prison sentence in Israel.
American authorities later accepted a guilty plea on an illegal money transfer charge and sentenced Sarsour to probation.
When questioned about whether anyone would want to target his family, Salah Sarsour again pointed to the fires as a coincidence.
“We have no enemies,” Salah Sarsour said. “Things happened. Things happened the same day.”
Salah Sarsour has also been active in anti-Israel causes.
A number of videos on YouTube show Sarsour leading Islamist rallies.
Salah Sarsour Helped Launder Money to HAMAS, Now Tied to Arson
In the 1998 Israeli report, Jamil Sarsour mentioned his brother as the source of some of the money passed along to Hamas.
“The checks that my brother Salah gave me were from a bank in Milwaukee,” Jamil told Israeli investigators. “From the business account. We didn’t want to use personal checks… so the government shouldn’t trace the checks back to us.”
This is what happens when we allow HAMAS terrorists to be residents of the U.S. But, hey, like Barack Obama says, they are American in their hearts and minds, right? As American as a blown-up Sbarro pizza shop.
