Leis & Korans: Hawaii’s New Islam Day

By Debbie Schlussel
Our longtime very cool Hawaiian conservative surfer friend, Jingo Go Go, alerts us to his state’s pathetic latest display of Islamopandering: Islam Day. No surprise, given the fact that Islamopandering doesn’t just happen in Dearbornistan. It happens everywhere.
Soon, no more bikinis and hula dances in Mauistan. But, hey, maybe they’ll still allow women to wear a lei around their full-ninja niqab face-veil.

Hawaii is planning to celebrate “Islam Day” over the objections of state lawmakers who associate extremist Muslims with terrorism.
The resolution to proclaim Sept. 24, 2009, as Islam Day passed the Senate today on a 22-3 vote.
As more than 100 Christians gathered in the Senate to oppose same-sex civil unions cheered, the Senate’s two Republicans argued that members of all religions shouldn’t forget the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Hawaii Honors the “Positive Contributions” of Islam . . .

Palestinian Woman on Ramallah Street Cheers 9/11 Attacks.

Democrats countered that the diversity and positive contributions of the Islamic world should be honored.
The resolution does not call for any spending or organized celebration of Islam Day.

When is Satanist Day? If they won’t be spending any tax money on it, why not recognize the positive contributions of devil worshippers to our world.
Marilyn Manson can officiate.
Says Jingo Go Go:

September 24th, 13–that’s right 13!–days after the day that marks the only contribution by Islam to our society. That would be the giant hole in the ground in New York, the burnt patch in Pennsylvania, and the hole in the Pentagon.
Excellent contributions, huh?!

Don Ho is turning over in his grave. Maybe they can change the lyrics of “Tiny Bubbles” to “Terror Bombers.”

How will the volcano gods handle the call to prayer 5 times a day?

One answer to Islampandering is Islampooning, and

This is nothing but a propaganda campaign.
Will someone, anyone, once and for all please tell me what islam contributed to mankind?! And, please don’t list the accomplishments of other cultures that the islamists claimed as their own through conquest.
It’s time to stop the lies and bullshit – islam never contributed anuything to mankind except war, misery, slavery, poverty, and mass murder (if you have any doubt, just look around the world where islam is dominant, today). The sooner the great unwashed learns this, the better off we’ll be.

We should all honor Islam for it’s great achievements,
1. Mastering the art of beheading.
2, Setting woman’s rights back 1,300 years.
3. Having the craziest prophet in the history of religion.
It sends a thrill up my leg just thinking about this, and makes me want to bow to the king of Saudi Arabia.

Amazing. Islam Day? This sickens me.

Ah, Islam Day. To celebrate the Hawaiian conspiracy to get the first illegal alien Muslim elected as POTUS.
They gonna celebrate it with women dancers in grass skirts/coconut bras and a whole pig luau feasts, eh?

Hawaii could maybe have a winner, if they’d joined with San Francisco’s Folsom Street parade. The only conflict could be with the local Jihadist’s, NOT willing to share the Island’s goats with the Frisco rowdies. /Sarcasm

And the “contributions” of Islam which we are supposed to honor, are . . . ?
Let’s see . . . the last (positive) thing contributed to world society by Muslims would have to be . . . algebra! And thanks a hell of a lot for that one, guys! (To rip-off Dennis Miller).
Oh, wait, I did forget 9/11/2001 — that was a great one, guys! Gee, guess I must have a short memory, huh? I know the so-called media in this country does . . .

OK-complain here -OR- contact the governor of Hawai’i before Resolution is signed.

“I am dismayed about HawaiĆiĆs recent House Concurrent Resolution ƬIslam DayĆ® approved by the state legislature. Primarily, celebrating Islam just 13 days after the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks is as insensitive as the recent flyover of Air Force One over the Manhattan skyline. Certainly, any attempt to approve an Emperor Hirohito Day proclamation would be just as insulting. The worldwide aspirations of HirohitoĆs Japan are mirrored in the Muslim ummah; as quoted in the Resolution thusly – ƬIslam strives for a world-wide communityĆ®. The shared ideology is well documented.
Please understand that the ƬUnited States and countries of the Islamic worldƮ govern with mutually exclusive principles. Islam, as practiced by over one billion worldwide adherents and the associated Sharia legal system, is the antithesis of the democratic principles celebrated by freedom loving people. The Ƭwealth of cultural and religious diversityƮ simply does not exist in Islamic governed countries. This is exemplified by the confiscation of Bibles and any Star of David worn by travelers to our foremost Middle East ally Saudi Arabia.
I do not object to a proclamation which recognizes the faith of just 0.2% of HawaiĆiĆs total population, but I doubt this proclamationĆs timing and the freewheeling language contained therein is the best way to recognize this ideology.”
Respectfully, sign your name
