According to to the Urban Dictionary, “ratchet ass” is just a perjorative term intended to refer to an ignorant individual, dumb ass, dipshit, etc. The Urban Dictionary is a website where people make up words and if they get approved by enough of the website’s group, it enters the online “Dictionary.” Every era “invents” its slang profanities, usually based on some part of the anatomy usually hidden from sight and/or various bodily functions having to do with excretion or sexual activities, usually of a perverse nature. But why intellectualize lowlifes?

In and of itself, the use of the term “Ratchet” tells me at least two things. Since it is a term that originated amongst inner city negroid youth, it has become a “hip” thing. It also shows the ignorance and illiteracy of the user. The term was derived from the legitimate term “Ratchet”, which, if you work on cars, you have one or two in your tool box. The negroid usage of the term was actually derived from “Wretched”. But, since many negroids are illiterate, and use English as a second language (Their first language is Ebonics) it came out as “Ratchet”. The word is used to describe the normal behavior of the average negroid hood rat female.
