“Fired” . . . But Not Really: “Dumped” Obama Campaign Extremists All Resurface

By Debbie Schlussel

News that Barack Hussein Obama only filled 43% of top positions in the federal government is good news.  The less of his political appointee ideologues in there, the better.  Let’s hope he continues to fill them at a snail’s pace.

On a related note, there is this e-mail from Brian McNamara, who listens to  The Mike Church Show” (on which I do movie reviews every Friday Morning).  He notes that, just seven months into the Obama administration, most of the uber-lefty extremists and nutjobs who were “banished” from the Obama campaign are now in the thick of the Obama administration.

Obama to Extremists:  “You’re Fired” But Not Really

Has anyone ever taken a “where they are now” look at all of these figures who had to be cast out during the campaign because they were such unsuitable people?  Many are in or around the administration now that he has been elected.

*  Samantha “Hillary is a monster” Power – resigned from campaign in March, 2008 – on transition team in Nov, 2008 – Now a member of the National Security Council.

*  James A. Johnson – “countrywide mortgage, Fannie Mae problems” – resigned as VP vetter in-chief in June, 2008 – can’t find too much information on him, but he was Obama’s guest at the big “Ted Kennedy is the Greatest Lib of Them All gala”

Mazen Asbahi – the Muslim outreach advisor who had to resign because of some very dubious ties to Muslim investment funds and shady characters – he was a Chicago lawyer with a big firm, and now suddenly he’s a solo lawyer in Washington D.C. – wonder where he’s getting his business?

Robert Malley – this is the guy I can’t track down.  He was punted because of his anti-Israel viewpoints in foreign policy.  I wonder if he has found his way back into the inner circle?  [DS:  As I noted back in November, he wasn’t really fired and was back in the Obama administration.]

*  Maxim Thorne – Obama GLBT [DS:  that’s Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered to the normally-inclined] Committee member – the author of the famous nasty email about Hillary “where was she when Bill was having sex in the oval office?” – now a Vice President at the NAACP.  Not in the administration, but probably still in a position with access to the president.

This is just a half hour of me and Google.  I wonder what a real journalist could do?  It’s a shame there aren’t any left.

No, Brian. As you point out, sadly, there isn’t.

I know you are not a big fan of Michelle Malkin, but her latest book “Culture of Corruption” details many of the vermin that are now in Odopey’s administration. It is a book that is somewhat tedious and boring, but it gives a pretty good insight into how bad things are in DC – and as it is put, the Chicago way.

Debbie, I believe T stands for Transgendered, not transvestite or transsexual.

I: OOPS. You are correct. Fixed. DS

I don’t know what else Robert Malley is up to, but he’s currently listed as a member of J Street’s Advisory Council. J Street is a sort of anti-AIPAC, a self-proclaimed “pro-peace” lobbying group that just couldn’t bring itself to condemn Hamas during Israel’s Cast Lead operation. It’s basically a motley group of left-wing Jews who insist they are the “real” mainstream view on the Arab-Israeli conflict. (Yeah, right…)

Samantha Power is the one who really scares me. the good news is that Obama didn’t listen to her on issues of the Armenian Genocide… (not that I’m partisan to that issue… in fact we should acknowledge the Genocide, but it shows that even Obama thinks she is a bit over the top) …the bad news is that Obama will not sever her from his thinking when it comes to Israel. We all know why.

Debbie, thanks for getting to the bottom of things about that pesky T in LGBT.

Debbie want more of Obama’s people in the news. Well the ACORN arm of Nevada is finally going down. Well, hopefully. But reading this article, it has to make you laugh. 59 prison inmates hired by ACORN…err Obama to register voters. Can you say, “Inmates you can believe in”. Maybe they can serve in Eric Holder’ AG department. LOL!!

I believe Austan Goolsbee qualifies for the f/hired category. He was Obama’s long time economic advisor (back in the U of Chicago days) and held that title in Obama’s 2004 senate campaign and the 2008 presidential primary campaign. When Obama said he wanted to renegotiate NAFTA and many senior Canadian officials got angry, Goolsbee told them not to worry because it was just campaign rhetoric. After some deinals and exposure the Obama campaign disowned Goolsbee and stated he was never officially a member of the campaign team. He laid low for a while but is now a member of the Council of Economic Advisors and Director of The Economic Recovery Advisory Board. These are very high positions in the Obamanation; audacity indeed.

It’s great to see so many people not only reading but contributing. We may not have any real journalists left to do this work for us, but there’s nothing to prevent us from doing the work ourselves. Debbie, thanks for posting my email. I am glad there are others out there who are as troubled by this as I am.
