Omar Abdel Rahman, “Blind Sheikh,” Muslim Refugee/Immigrant, Rot In Hell – Dead at 78

By Debbie Schlussel

Omar Abdel Rahman, the mastermind of and “spiritual leader” behind the 1993 Al-Qaeda World Trade Center bombers, is dead. May “the blind sheikh” rot in hell.

When we hear the blatantly false claims by liberals (and other open borders advocates) that Muslim immigrants don’t commit terrorism, Rahman is Exhibit A that those liberals are liars. Rahman, as the spiritual leader of al-Gama al-Islamiyya, was linked to and twice tried for the assassination of Egyptian leader Anwar Sadat (for the crime of making a very tenuous, one-sided peace with Israel). He escaped Egypt to hang out with Osama Bin Laden in Afghanistan and preach more of his typical hate in Pakistan. He was also on terrorist watch lists, including that of the U.S.

Yet, President George H.W. Bush allowed Rahman into the United States and granted him a Green Card. Why on earth would you let in a known assassin known to be part of Muslim terrorist groups and their spiritual leader? And then grant him a Green Card and legal permanent residence? Absurd. Had Bush been a little more concerned with national security instead of butt-snorkeling Muslims, the first World Trade Center bombing might never have happened. The bombing killed six Americans and injured 1,000, and Bush has some of that blood on his hands for being careless and letting this guy in.

Rahman’s mosque was linked to a number of major Al-Qaeda and HAMAS figures in the United States, including Fawaz Abu-Damra, an imam who raised money for HAMAS, was a member of Islamic Jihad founder and worked closely with its leader Sami Al-Arian, and called Jews and Christians “pigs and monkeys.”

More about Muslim “refugee” Rahman:

Several of his followers were convicted in the bombing, although Abdel Rahman was not. Instead, he was arrested on broader conspiracy charges of planning to “levy a war of urban terrorism against the United States.” Among other actions, Abdel Rahman was accused of plotting a “day of terror” in which simultaneous bombs would blow up the United Nations, the Lincoln and Holland tunnels in New York City, the George Washington Bridge and the building housing New York’s FBI headquarters. . . .

Despite being on anti-terrorism watch lists, he traveled to Sudan, where he received a visa to enter the United States. After his arrival in New Jersey, he obtained a green card for residency. When it was revoked in 1992, he asked for political asylum.

Abdel Rahman had two wives and 10 children; a complete list of survivors could not be confirmed. One of his sons, Ahmed Abdel Rahman, was killed by a U.S. drone strike in Afghanistan in 2011.

At his sentencing, Rahman delivered these typical Muslim sentiments about America–sentiments that are held by many, many Muslim refugees we allow in and to whom we give green cards:

This is an infidel country. It has an infidel White House. It has an infidel Congress. It has an infidel Pentagon. And this is an infidel courthouse.

A number of conservative “news” sites, with absolutely zero evidence, claimed that Barack Obama was going to pardon and release Rahman to Egypt. I never thought that would happen and said so to many readers who inquired about it. As bad as Obama was–and he was plenty bad, as we know–he wouldn’t be that stupid. There were plenty of deeds bad enough that Obama perpetrated. We didn’t need to make things up.

Rahman died where he should have–in a dark, dank prison. Sadly, he got to live far too long, unlike his victims. The guy should have been put to death, decades ago in Egypt or here. Yet, somehow, he repeatedly skated from his just desserts.

I hope that the Federal Bureau of Prisons doesn’t give Rahman a Muslim funeral and “proper” burial. But we know they will, just as the Obama government did for Bin Laden. Let’s hope, at least, that Rahman is buried in an unmarked, undisclosed grave so he does not become more of a martyr than he already is to Muslims (and so that there is no gathering place to mourn this major evildoer).

Ironically, Rahman’s surname means “the merciful” in Arabic, but there was nothing merciful about him.

His 78 years on this earth were 78 years too many. 78 years of pain, death, darkness, and destruction.

Omar Abdel Rahman, Rot In Hell.

*** UPDATE: I have noted this before on this site, but forgot when I wrote this and was gladly reminded by reader “WHO ME,” that Rahman also inspired and masterminded the 1990 murder of Rabbi Meir Kahane by El-Sayyid Nosair, one of Rahman’s congregants and followers. This was the first Al-Qaeda murder of an American on U.S. soil.

Yet another reason Rahman should, and will, rot in hell.

Yup, Daddy Bush, indeed. I agree wholeheartedly about the blood on his hands. Let us never forget Daddy Bush’s laxity on various matters, like U.S. sovereignty, for example. They are evident in the two statements he made about a “kinder, gentler America,” and a “new world order.”

And now here we are.

The mindset that brought Rahman to our shores remains alive and well.

There are people who think we don’t have enough Rahmans here.

They – not the Muslims they aid, abet and defend – will be the downfall of our country.

A teachable lesson on the dangers of open borders.

He is probably w/ the 72 Helen Thomases. As for his body disposal, they should do to him what they did to Osama – toss his body into the sea, preferably in a shark rich area. Or the Adolf Eichmann treatment – cremate him and toss the ashes into the sea. Whichever suits them.

Better yet, feed the corpse to — you guessed it — pigs.

I did NOT put a question mark there, it was an ALT-1 smiley, just in case you’re wondering.

he was arrested on broader conspiracy charges of planning to “levy a war of urban terrorism against the United States.” Sounds like Obama’s OFA

Debbie, thanks for giving out precise information from independent sources that’s the antithesis/antidote to “fake news” on who Mr. Rahman was when he existed as a terrorist among our evolved humanity.

It was yes insane that former President George Bush Sr. give the SOB a “green card” to live here in the US, despite all of the evidence against Rahman of allegedly being a terrorist and not on the nation’s “terror watch-list”, and yeah, by default, Bush-41 had some percentage of blood on his hands when Rahman committed the first World Trade Center Islamic-terrorist bombing (and ironically, not former President Bill Clinton, so it’s a non false-dichotomy/black-and-white issue).

He was responsible for killing Rabbi Meir Kahanov Z”L HY”D.

WM: Great point, which I’ve mentioned before but forgot this time. Will add. DS

Rahman was a mentor to bin Laden. Bin Laden sent him here. al Qaeda was spread thru a network of charities and recruitment centers for “Afghan Resistance”. Later, every threat al Qaeda made to the USA included the demand it release the imprisoned Blind Sheikh. A tradition ISIS maintained, that’s how venerated he was. Keep in mind this “extremist” who “hijacked” Islam was the head of Qur’anic studies at Al-Azhar University, the most important school in Sunni Islam. What does it say about Al-Azhar it would have him teaching there? Did he maybe know something about the Qur’an and Islamic law, since he taught it? Like Abdullah Azzam, the real founder of al Qaeda, with his PhD in Shari’a from Al-Azhar? Of course Rahman was closely connected to both WTC attacks, Ramzi Yousef designed the first bombing, and when that failed to bring the building down, the second. Rahman should have been executed years ago.

Too bad that Lynne Stewart, the treasonous terrorist sympathizer who represented Rachman, has not yet succumbed to the same fate. She should have received a death sentence, but even a life-sentence would have been better than the compassionate release she was granted.

YCHtT on February 19, 2017 at 5:39 pm

24th anniversary of that bombing coming up in a few days. The Great StainMaker also has blood on his hands by choosing to pursue it as a criminal case, and not making Islam and its inherent terrorism a priority. I have always placed the blame for 911 firmly at his doorstep. After the USS Cole, there was plenty of time to FINALLY realize and DO SOMETHING about it.

And he didn’t. He left it for the next schlub, who DID turn out to be a schlub, despite all his posturing after 911.

Alfredo from Puerto Rico on February 19, 2017 at 6:31 pm

Will Helen Thomas now be one of his 72 virgins?

Moishe on February 19, 2017 at 11:16 pm

I have to admit Moishe that was funny hope he has 72 Helen Thomas virgins waiting .

If she is one of his 72 virgins, hopefully “allah” will heal his blindness, too.

Don’t think history will look too kindly upon either Bush.

BTW: The Georgetown Prof. who gave a lecture justifying Islamic slavery and concubinage, a convert by the name of Jonathan A.C. Brown, is married to Al-Arian’s daughter. So, the Blind Sheikh lives on, through the teachings of Mr. Brown.

Read “1000 Years for Revenge: International Terrorism and the FBI–the Untold Story”. I couldn’t put it down. It tells the incredible story of the Blinf Sheikh, and how the FBI ignored evidence before the first Twin Tower bombing. Mind blowing, and totally ignored by the press.

Good day dear Debbie! As soon as he entered the usa America the beautiful he should have recieved the Death Penalty!Sincerlly Tirdad.

TIRDAD GHARIB on February 20, 2017 at 8:38 am

I will say this Rahman got better treatment than his victims got he had a lot of innocent blood on his hands and never should have been allowed into the US. If I am not mistaken that same New Jersey mosque he operated out of also had contact with one or more of the 9/11 highjackers. I consider Rahman’s passing one less terrorist to worry about.

he was very ugly;
I have nothing more to add

DS: “I hope that the Federal Bureau of Prisons doesn’t give Rahman a Muslim funeral and “proper” burial. But we know they will, just as the Obama government did for Bin Laden.”

The US already informed the sheikh’s family of his death. I expect they will have the body flown back to Egypt where it will be given a “martyr’s” funeral. The last thing Al Sissi wants is a mass gathering of his Muslim Brotherhood opposition.

As to the idea of Obama releasing him to Egypt, I was less skeptical of the possibility, given how Obama and Clinton were so anxiously reaching out to Egypt’s Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood. And recall that Obama *did* release five senior Taliban prisoners from Guantanam, nominally for one US army deserter.

Raymond in DC on February 20, 2017 at 5:02 pm

I agree with a lot of the sentiment here. Sheik Rahman didn’t deserve to be here and SHOULD have spent the rest of his life in jail IN EGYPT. This piece of sewage never should have come here in the first place. There were far more deserving people who should have come here. Omar Abdel Rahman CLEARLY wasn’t one of them.
Like Fidel Castro,he’s one of those people that I’m unable to find anything good to say about and who the world’s better off without. Rot in hades,Sheik Rahman. You’ve done nothing good on this earth and I hope that your punishment is equivalent to what you put so many people through. You deserve NOTHING less.

This is a timely article, Deb. These days, we’re shown pictures of “pathetic” Muslim “refugees”. The implication is that these are helpless people who couldn’t possibly hurt Americans.

This “Blind Old Man” needs to be held up as a reminder that many of the people we believe are helpless refugees are not as they seem. “The blind Sheik” was a bad guy. Letting him in the USA sent us down the road that ultimately led to the 9/11/2001 attack.

How many others like him have we already allowed into America?
