A 21-year-old man from the city of Villeurbanne in southern France was severely injured last week after being assaulted by two men of North African origin, the European Jewish Press reported Monday.
According to the report, Thursday’s violent incident occurred as the man headed home from a Torah class at the local synagogue.
A few weeks ago, I told you about “Meet Monica Velour,” a movie starring Kim Cattrall of “Sex and the City” fame, in which she plays an aging porn star. As I noted, the movie–previously entitled “Miss January”–was subsidized by the Michigan Film Tax Credit, receiving nearly $2 million from Michigan taxpayers. The subject matter of the movie is sleazy enough. But even more disgusting is the fact that JARC–the Detroit-based Jewish agency for the mentally disabled–is using the movie as a fundraising effort, complete with a special in-person appearance by the senior skankizen Cattrall, tomorrow night. It’s beyond sleazy.

JARC–which used to stand for Jewish Association for Retarded Citizens–is now called Jewish Association for Residential Care because the word “retarded” is now politically incorrect. The organization does excellent work, with many mentally disabled and mildly retarded beneficiaries of its help getting jobs, buying homes, and otherwise living a higher quality of life they likely never would have had. Mentally disabled people from my synagogue are functional adults and not on public assistance because of JARC.
That said, it’s very sleazy–and especially disrespectful to the less fortunate and somewhat helpless JARC clients–that the filthy “Meeting Monica Velour” is the way they raise money. I have not yet seen the movie, but as I noted previously, here is the description of the movie from the Tribeca Film Festival:

It’s so predictable and boring to watch the ratings-seeking egomaniacal fraud, Donald Trump, throw out lines he knows will reel Tea Party types in . . . and then watch them eagerly take the bait without a single ounce of critical thinking. As I’ve repeatedly pointed out on this site, Donald Too Big Too Fail Trump was once the world’s largest debtor, but he was allowed to survive without filing for bankruptcy because his creditors wanted at least some of their money back. He’s also a failure as a businessman, if you look at some of his casinos and other operations. And his “self-made” man image is BS, too, since his wealthy father gave him at least $100,000 (when that was real money) to start with. Jimmy Kimmel’s hilarious comments and spot-on “campaign commercial,” below, are exactly what I’ve been saying to the many unthinking Tea Party sheeple who keep sending me pro-Trump BS. These are the same people who cheered on the idea of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, while I warned against it. Morons. And Jesse Ventura, too. How did that work out?
Trump’s popularity in GOP polls shows how desperate and pitiful Republicans and conservatives are to beat Obama and what a lack of good candidates we have. Trump is the Ross Perot of 2012 (if he even lasts into 2012). Now, Trump is throwing out comments like, “The world has a Muslim problem,” when he knows full well that it’s Dhimmi Donald Trump who also has a Muslim problem. As you’ll recall, he’s the one who helped choose a Shi’ite Muslim Hezbollah supporter, Rima Fakih (who twice tripped on her gown and gave a dumb answer), as his Miss USA. He and his people also coached Al-Skank, Ms. Fakih, not to answer questions asking her whether she supports Hezbollah (despite most of her family belonging in the terrorist group, including top officials and martyrs). The Trump people also demanded that media outlets interviewing Fakih not ask her about Hezbollah or to condemn the group because she supports this terrorist outfit that murdered over 300 U.S. Marines and Embassy officials.
The showbiz world is chock full of lamentations over the death, yesterday, of legendary director Sidney Lumet. While he was a talented filmmaker, it’s been completely glossed over that most of his movies were liberal. They had viewpoints that weren’t necessarily flattering or good for America, and frankly, his films mostly looked down upon Americans. And it’s time for a reality check amidst the opium-laced fantasy about who Sidney Lumet really was.
Sidney Lumet: Proud to Be Liberal, Embarrassed to be Jewish
Whether we were portrayed as racist bigots in “Twelve Angry Men,” or war-mongering screw-ups in “Fail-Safe,” it’s clear that Lumet took a dark view on Americans. Yes, I’m sure there were plenty of racist juries back in the ’50s, but today, the racism is in the reverse, and yet, “12 Angry Men” is still hailed and tours the country in its onstage version. As a criminal defense attorney, I liked watching the machinations of the jury room, but as an American, it’s troubling to watch the outdated, stale portrayal of American juries as a monolith of old, fat White men who are racist dummies, but for the one smart person who convinces them to go beyond that. (Yes, Americans are sheep, but they bend over backward to show they aren’t bigots. If our Islamo-butt-kissing since 9/11 doesn’t show that, you’ve been living on Mars.)
Then, there is “The Verdict,” in which the hero is the ambulance chasing medical malpractice lawyer played by Paul Newman, and the villain is the Catholic Archdiocese running a hospital. “Dog Day Afternoon” makes clear who the hero is: a bank robber who screams, “Attica, Attica,” and becomes a folk hero during the day that he holds a bank and its employees hostage. “Find Me Guilty” (read my review), which I enjoyed as entertainment, also makes a hero out of a real-life mobster. Many Americans believe this point of view as reality. It isn’t. The same goes for “Daniel,” his fictional portrayal of a far left-wing activist son of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, the real-life spies who sold out America and deserved to be executed for it. I warned you that the House Republicans–Tea Party or not–would never end the NPR a/k/a “National Palestinian Radio” subsidy, just like Newt Gingrich wimped out on this in the 1990s. And I was right. Despite their many self-congratulatory pats on the back, this morning, on the Sunday political shows, the budget is a disappointment. I also warned readers that the Tea Party elections sea change and Republicans taking over the House, last November, wouldn’t actually be much of a change at all, despite tough talk by people like Paul Ryan. Rule #1 of life: talk is cheap. Rule #2: tough talk is even cheaper.
Frauds & Wimps: They Cut Defense, But Not NPR
It should have been a no-brainer and easy pickin’s for House Republicans to nix NPR funding, which would upset few Americans, but for some high-brow vegan lesbians from Seattle and some hipsters from Williamsburg who don’t vote Republican anyway. But House Republicans, under the, um, “leadership” of John Boehner and Eric Cantor, gave in. If they didn’t have the cojones to say no on NPR funding, what did they have the guts to say no to? Not much.
There was a whiny story in today’s Detroit Free Press that Tea Party and other Congressman who sleep in their offices who use the House gym were worried that the gym would close and they’d have to shower somewhere else. Not kidding. A recent Wall Street Journal article talked about how Paul Ryan and other House Republicans, like whiny “Real World” reality TV star Sean Duffy, use the gym to do P90X, and that would have stopped, too, with a government shutdown. Yup, they got their priorities straight. Now, the gym won’t be shut down. Praise allah.
The new budget lops off just $39 billion from Obama’s proposed budget, hardly a dent. BFD–Big Frickin’ Deal. That’s chump change, and one of the biggest cuts was not from unnecessary services and entitlements but from national defense. The Pentagon lost $2 billion, more than 5% of the cuts. Yes, Republicans are now the ones who are anti-defense. Sorry, but there’s absolutely no way to spin that the Cantor Boehner Ryan troika cut $2 billion from defense and not a dime from NPR. Cutting defense spending and keeping liberal radio propaganda intact are the hallmarks of a liberal Democrat budget, not a conservative one. Tea Party? Puh-leeze. The tea is rancid.
The absolute worst new movie this weekend is the one where the main character wears a severed penis around his neck for the last third of the movie. But, then, I didn’t see the “Arthur” remake, so I can’t say that it’s the absolute worst with absolute certainty. I hated the original Dudley Moore “Arthur,” so when I didn’t feel well, I didn’t feel bad about missing the Osama Bin Laden-admirer Russell Brand version. I also did not see “Born to Be Wild.”
* “Hanna“: Normally I don’t like movies with ass-kicking girls who weigh less than 100 pounds beating up every brutish tough guy on the planet. It’s just not believable. But this one is different. It’s cool, campy, weird, and funny. Plus the ending explains why the tiny girl tough girl act is possible (sort of). And, despite the PG-13 rating, it’s not for kids, as it’s quite violent, bloody, and has some kidding around about lesbianism, not to mention a very brief sort of suggestive lesbian kids kiss, which was troubling, disgusting, and unnecessary. New Detroit Pistons Owner “Palestinian-American” Tom Gores & Close Cousin Hala
Today, Detroit Pistons owner Karen Davidson announced the sale of the Detroit Pistons and several major Detroit area concert venues to Tom Gores a/k/a Tewfiq Gores, an Israeli-born investor, who is a half-Greek, half-Lebanese Maronite Christian Arab, and whose family members are outspoken in favor of the Palestinians and HAMAS. Oh, and they were allegedly involved in organized crime. Davidson’s late husband, billionaire William Davidson (full disclosure: he maxed out on both of my campaigns for the Michigan House), a Jewish Republican, gave hundreds of millions of dollars to Israeli causes. I went to Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit with his kids, Ethan and Marla.
Gores founded Platinum Equity, a mergers and acquisitions firm. Gores’ first cousin, Hala Gores, a personal injury lawyer who is like a sister to him, identifies herself as a “Palestinian American” (the family is actually of Lebanese heritage before coming to Israel) and is outspokenly anti-Israel and anti-Semitic. In 2009, she organized buses to a pro-HAMAS rally in Portland against Israel’s invasion of Gaza in response to repeated rocket attacks. Her BS video below alleging that Israel treats Christians poorly is actually a much better description of how Muslims in Israel and the “Palestinian” controlled lands treat Christians. The only people protecting Christians anywhere in the Middle East are Jews and Israel. As I’ve noted repeatedly on this site, Christians have been chased out by Muslims everywhere but Israel, including in Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon, etc.
Anti-Israel Video Made by New Pistons Owner’s Close Relative . . .
This isn’t the first instance where Davidson properties transferred to Christian Arabs who enable anti-Israel, terrorism supporters. Russell Ebeid took over leadership of Davidson’s Guardian Industries (the world’s largest producer of glass) and proceeded to give hundreds of thousands of dollars to an anti-Israel, openly pro-Hezbollah/HAMAS Muslim-run welfare agency to give college scholarships primarily to Muslim Arabs. Perhaps the transfer of Detroit Pistons ownership from the family of the late Bill Davidson to the Gores family is a metaphor for what is happening all over America with regard to the Middle East and Israel. And it’s not good.
You may have heard of Gores, the cheesy self-made billionaire based in California. He frequently poses for metrosexual “heavage“-bearing photos, showing that you can take guy out of the Middle East, but not the Middle East out of the guy, chest hair front and center. And his alleged mobster uncle claims the Jews kidnapped him in pre-Israel Palestine. His cousin, Hala Gores, with whom he grew up and is close, is extremely pro-Palestinian and a constant critic of Israel. A lawyer, she frequently leads anti-Israel demonstrations on the West Coast.
On his mother’s side, Gores family are the Joubrans, and he emigrated from his Nazareth, Israel birthplace with his parents as a kid to live with the Flint, Michigan-based Joubrans, identified as part of an organized crime family in testimony before the U.S. Senate. Gores’ uncle, Tom Joubran, in particular was fingered as a “person of interest” in organized crime activities in Flint in the testimony, by area prosecutors and reporters, including my friend, former CNN reporter Patrick Clawson. Uncle Tom Joubran not only sponsored Tom Gores’ immigration to the U.S. and citizenship, but was a mentor of his throughout his career.
