Many readers and friends have asked why I haven’t commented on the teacher riots of Wisconsin.  Make no mistake.  I’m 100% on the side of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.  I wish he was Governor of Wisconsin when I lived in Madison and was in grad school.  At that time, we had, instead, the embarrassingly vacant and squishy Tommy Thompson of Elroy as Governor.  Gov. Walker is everything Thompson wasn’t, and that’s a good thing.  He has guts and, ultimately, when the liberal Democrat cowards from the Wisconsin Legislature finally return (or are rounded up by state troopers), I believe he’ll ultimately prevail with the necessary cuts.

For nearly six years, I lived in Madison, Wisconsin–or as my late dad called it, “Moscow on the Mendota” (though he later said that was an insult to Moscow, which had become far more capitalistic and reasonable than Madison).  I practiced law there, as a then-member of the Wisconsin State Bar.  I’m not surprised that teachers are finding all kinds of human rabble to protest the proposed cuts with them.  But it’s Wisconsin.  While I love the people of the state–who in the more rural areas beyond State Street have more conservative values and elected the Paul Ryans and Sean Duffys–Wisconsin has always had a very populist tilt.  It’s not only the state that elected U.S. Senator Joseph McCarthy (who was vilified for pointing out the Communist threat from within), but also the state that elected former U.S. Senator Russ Feingold (D-Pachouli and Phish).

Tragic news from the coast of East Africa, where Somalian Islamic terrorists (euphemism:  “pirates”) murdered four innocent Americans whose only “crime” is that they were sailing the world on a yacht . . . and that they are American, non-Muslim, White, and Western.  Oh, and they were Christians with Bibles.  Can’t have that in the “tolerant” Islamic world.  Remember this the next time you are told that it’s “wrong” to refer to the Somalian “pirates” truthfully as the Islamic terrorists that they are.  Remember this the next time scumbags, idiots, and morons who’ve appointed themselves the apologists for Islam tell you that these Islamic terrorists, er . . . “Somalian pirates” aren’t terrorists because they just want money and don’t murder their captives. Riiiight. And I’m sure these “pirates”‘ ties to Al-Qaeda’s Al-Shabaab means nothing, too, per usual.

Say a prayer for the dear souls of Scott Underwood Adam, Jean Savage Adam, Phyllis Macay, Bob Riggle, and their grieving family members.  May these innocent victims rest in peace. I wish this had ended otherwise, but it never ends peacefully with Islam.  Never. . . despite what the Anderson Coopers, Katie Courics, and Richard Engels of the world tell you from Egypt. Oh, and in case you missed it, the spokessavage for the “pirates” is named Abdullahi Mohamed. Surprise. Religion of Peace, baby!

The topics were the disgusting, anti-Semitic online jihad of death, rape, and torture wishes threats I’ve endured from the left (and a very few nutty right-wingers) over my column regarding Islam showing its true colors with liberation cheerleader Lara Logan; and my column on Billy Ray Cyrus, Pimp Dad. I had many media outlets call for an interview, but I gave the exclusive first to the always brilliant Brett.  This morning, I was also on the morning show on KABC-AM Los Angeles (on the “John Phillips Show”).

Never thought I’d see the day when the ONLY media source that quotes me accurately is . . . The New York Times’ Maureen Dowd?!  Well, that day was yesterday.  And, even though her point is to disagree with me (I guess I’m in the “sewer” in the headline, according to her, but consider the source), I must say that she didn’t use this–unlike the rest of the mainstream media and mainstream conservative hack media–as an opportunity to lie about and misrepresent what I wrote.

The conservative blogger Debbie Schlussel smacked Logan from the right: “Lara Logan was among the chief cheerleaders of this ‘revolution’ by animals. Now she knows what the Islamic revolution is really all about.”

Finally, someone accurate and focusing on my central point. Hey, thanks for getting it right, Maureen, even if your column is meant to deride me and excuse the Muslims who perpetrated the attack.

Will somebody please tell the Wall Street Journal to keep race-war politics out of its real estate pages?  And why is the  Journal using its homes and architecture page to pimp us on Harvard’s “hip-hop archive?”

Every Friday, the Weekend section of the Wall Street Journal has a nearly page long article, entitled “Home Front.”  It features very interesting homes, usually owned by the very wealthy, which have been uniquely remodeled, designed, and/or decorated.  One recent week, for instance, the Journal featured this unique modern home, which has a living room raised in mid-air without any supports underneath.  The canti-levered glass house was cool, interesting, and different.  And that’s the point.  The column is a vicarious glance into how “the beautiful people” live.  Since I enjoy unique design and architecture, I enjoy reading the column during the Jewish Sabbath.

But not this past weekend.  The home featured was average, and there was nothing unique about it, unless you consider it interesting that the homeowner manages Harvard’s “Hip Hop Archive” and has Henry “Cambridge Cops Are Racist!” Louis Gates, Jr. as a frequent guest.  To most, that might be “unique,” but not in a good way or in any way that makes a home interesting enough for nearly a page in the Wall Street Journal.  The house looks like the inside of my aunt’s and uncle’s home, but with tacky, ugly decor, including ugly turquoise chairs. It was clear to me that the home, a run of the mill colonial, was featured as an affirmative action way to promote its owners, one of whom was previously denied tenure at Harvard by Lawrence Summers.

This video, below, is a pretty good summary of the various reports I’ve heard about in the Arab and Muslim media regarding what Muslims actually did to Lara Logan.  (IT IS NOT SAFE FOR WORK.)  While the Wall Street Journal claimed that the assault fell short of rape, that’s not what a number of witnesses are saying.  It remains stark how silent the Western media, including and especially CBS, are on the attack because, hey, we wouldn’t want to “malign” the Muslim world and their stellar record of treatment of women.  And we wouldn’t want the world to know the truth about these “peaceful,” “liberal,” “modern” “democrats” who protested in Tahrir Square and will soon get their extremist Muslim Brotherhood to run things, whether it’s a  year from now or ten years from now.  The next time you watch a report from any of these cheerleaders, from Logan to Katie Couric to Anderson Cooper to Richard Engel, you should wonder what violent rapes and attacks they are covering up.  Yup, this is Islam.

How Muslims Treat Women

I don’t know who this person in the video is and/or how credible.  But, although the guy in the video doesn’t cite any sources, his version jibes and matches somewhat the details many friends have been sending me that have been circulating around the Islamic world.  The video looks kinda like old school American voice-overs of ninja movies, with the audio not exactly matching up with the video. Take it for what it’s worth.  But, again, this is Islam.

Perhaps they need to change the name of “Extreme Makeover:  Home Edition” to “Extremist Makeover:  Home Jihadist Whitewash and Revisionist Edition.”  On  last night’s edition of the ABC show (video below), the program and its hosts pretended that the Fort Hood Massacre wasn’t committed by a jihadist Muslim, but by outer space aliens or some other unknown force beyond our control.

The show focused on helping Staff Sgt. Patrick Ziegler, who nearly died in the massacre perpetrated by Major Nidal Malik Hasan, with a wedding to his girlfriend and new home.  Ziegler, who wasn’t expected to live, is in a wheelchair because he was shot more than once by Hasan, in the name of allah.  But the host and others–including numerous top Fort Hood Army officials–went out of their way not to mention Hasan, the jihadist attack, or anything indicating that this was the result of Islamic terrorism. Hasan’s name was never mentioned in the entire hour.  Instead, a lot of neutral euphemisms were employed to whitewash the whole event. So many euphemisms, I lost track.

The relative best movie this weekend is aimed at teens and kids.  The rest are skipworthy for various reasons.

*  “Unknown”:  Read my review column.  Liam Neeson plays a man whose identity has been stolen from him and who is targeted by a hit squad after waking up from a coma.  What could have been a great Hitchcock-esque conspiracy thriller collapses under the weight of ideological baloney promoting the “virtues” of Muslim illegal aliens and attacking agri-business.  Again, read my complete review.

TWO MARXES PLUS A BIN LADEN

*  “I Am Number Four“:  This Disney movie is great for teens and kids and is devoid of any sex or other objectionable stuff usually contained in teen movies.  And the first half or so of it was pretty good.  Only in the last third did the movie become a little too messy.
