Desperate But Not Serious: Why Terrorist Al-Arian Walked

By
My friend, Michael Eisenstadt, dedicated his life, among other things, to seeing terrorist leader Sami Al-Arian face justice.
In September, Mike, spokesman for Tampa’s Jewish community, died of lung cancer. While his passing is a source of great sadness, I’m glad Mike didn’t get to see Al-Arian’s acquittal, Tuesday.
It was a sad day in America, but not one that was unexpected. At least by me. Everyone predicted that the jury would throw the book at the man who was a founder of terrorist group Islamic Jihad, and ran its worldwide headquarters from his University of South Florida offices.
But not me.

The Anti-Nuremberg Trial:

Laura and George Bush and “Acquitted” Terrorist Al-Arian Clan

I followed the trial and predicted all along ( and ) that Sami Al-Arian and his three co-defendants would walk. Why? Because our Justice Department, while desperate for victories, is really not serious about the War on Terror. In fact, more important to Gonzalez and Company (and before that, Ashcroft and Company) is outreach to radical Islamic individuals and groups that support terrorists like Al-Arian and prosecution of anything they perceive as “hate crimes” against those Muslims.

From the U.S.S. Arizona, Pearl Harbor: Never Forget

By
These words apply today, but unfortunately people have forgotten. And they do not recognize that we are fighting an enemy within that is even worse:
My brothers lie in state,
In clear waters
Of testimony, their willingness
To answer our Nation’s call.
An angel bends down, whispers in my ear,
Never forget. Never forget.
Honor them. They
Gave their lives for you.
No man hath a greater love.
Do them honor.
And never forget.
(Thanks to Michael Geer for sending.)

Kaare Kristiansen, RIP: Brave Norwegian Resigned From Nobel Committee Over Arafat “Peace” Prize

By
With great sadness, we mourn the passing of Kaare Kristiansen, the brave, principled Norwegian who resigned from the Nobel Prize Committee in disgust over its absurd peace prize to Terrorist-In-Chief Yasser Arafat.
In a day when American jurors don’t have the minimum guts and the basic decency to convict the chief and founder of Islamic Jihad (Sami Al-Arian) and Steven Spielberg is making movies denouncing justice for the Munich Olympics terrorists, Kristiansen’s courage was especially unique. It was also unique because his own State, Norway, supports this strange new respect for Islamic terrorists and disdain for its innocent victims.
But Kaare Kristiansen was different from his countrymen. He had real courage and did the right thing. In resigning and protesting the outrageous award, Kristiansen said the Palestinian leader was “tainted with violence, terrorism and bloodshed.”

Kaare Kristiansen, RIP

The son of a Lutheran pastor, Kristiansen led Norway’s Christian Democratic Party and served as Norway’s Oil Minister as part of its center-right coalition.
Kristiansen’s courage will be missed, and we wish it were not so unique. But, sadly, these days it is.
Kaare Kristiansen. Rest In Peace.

Ed Masry: Syrian-Christian American Trial Lawyer Was Friend of Israel

By
Today, we note the passing of Edward Masry, the trial lawyer who won a gazillion dollar settlement from PG&E, as glamorized in the Julia Roberts movie, “Erin Brockovich.”
While we dislike trial lawyers, frown upon his soaking of PG&E when he never proved the company contaminated any water, and disapproved of the phony movie about him, we note something else we find more important: Although Arab groups dominated by Muslims constantly claimed Masry as a famous Arab American, his politics were otherwise. A Christian of Syrian descent, Masry was a strong supporter of the State of Israel and opponent of Islamic extremists.
“My father was a Christian from Syria who came to the United States in 1912 because of repression in his native country,” Masry once told a Jewish newspaper. “He was one of the first to give money to Israel in 1948. His sympathies were pro-Zionist, not pro-Arab.”
Not shown in Erin Brockovich was another aspect of Masry’s career. He was also agent to several NFL players, including Hall of Famer Merlin Olsen.

Winnie the Pooh Affirmative Action: Christopher Robin Replaced with Tomboy Chick

By
Congratulations to “Winnie the Pooh,” who has turned 80.
But jeers to Disney for utilizing anti-male affirmative action in “honor” of this milestone. The folks at Disney are replacing Christopher Robin with a 6-year-old girl tomboy.
If they think this feminist affirmative action stunt will help revive interest in “Winnie the Pooh”–and those deluded fools actually do–dream on. The dying nature of this brand is a function of technology–computers, the Internet, interactive games, etc.–not anything to do with liberal social policy or some perceived need to implement it by emasculating everything. This new gambit to replace Christopher Robin is absurd.

New Female Tomboy Replacement for Christopher Robin

(on the Left, Appropriately)

Even leftist librarians didn’t see the need. “This strikes me as a step too far away from the vision of the original books,” Kathleen Horning, who trains children’s book librarians at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, told USA Today. “Besides, growing up, I had no problem relating to Christopher Robin. He almost had a non-specific gender.”
And what would be wrong if he did, indeed, have a strong male gender? Just asking.

Idiotic Star Jones Comment of the Week

By
On yesterday’s “The View,” resident uber-idiot Star Jones (and on that show, they are , so the competition is tough) uttered this gem:
“I switch Tampon brands depending on the kinds of things they promise me the tampon will do.”
Information we REALLY needed. Remember, this is the same woman who, the day after the 2002 Passover massacre by Palestinian terrorists, urged understanding because people in “different cultures” deal with their problems in other ways, and we shouldn’t apply our western mores to them. Huh?! Quick, somebody send her to a “different culture” so we can deal with the Star Jones problem “in other ways.”

Unnecessary: Star Jones on Tampons & Terrorism, Star Jones Swimsuit Edition, Star Jones, Period.

Need we remind you that this calorically-gifted ignoramus is an unabashed liberal Democrat and Bill Clinton gusher. So glad the female Al Sharpton has a daily national broadcast TV forum.
Oh, and by the way, did she ever get ? Just wondering–and doubting.

Phi Slappa Chicka: New Islamic Sorority Hits Campus

By
A new Muslim sorority is hitting college campuses across America. And, no, it’s not called “Phi Slappa Chicka,” though the way Islam treats women makes that name so appropriate.
Gamma Gamma Chi’s motto is “Striving for the Pleasure of Allah.” Gee, that could mean a lot of things, like Jihad, homicide bombings, etc. . . . You get the gist. We’ve been detailing the new “advancement” opportunities for Muslim women, since 9/11 (here and ).
Given this, while we’re no fans of sororities, we think America’s college campuses would be better off with a bunch of drunk sorority chicks striving for the Pleasure of Boyfriends than oodles of “chicks” “striving for the Pleasure of Allah.”

Sorority Chick?:

Boushra Aghil Says American White Girls Wouldn’t Understand “Our Issues”

But the L.A. Times article about the new Muslim sorority is very enlightening to those who don’t already know what they think of us American Infidel women–and why they want their own separate sorority:
“My parents would never, ever let me join a regular sorority,” said Amira Shalash, one of the girls interested in joining the Muslim sorority. “I don’t know any Muslim sorority girls.” And that’s part of the problem. Islamic women are not assimilating into American culture. They don’t join sororities and secular clubs to mix with us Infidels, and many don’t see themselves as Americans first, or even at all.
And it’s because they look down upon us American Infidel women as sluts and hos. They’re better than us–in their minds.
“The American white-bread sorority girls wouldn’t always understand our issues,” said Boushra Aghil, another woman rushing the Islamic sorority. You know what she means by that.
And the response of other Muslim organizations is telling, too. The Muslim Student Association (started by terrorist group Muslim Brotherhood) refused to comment. Tahir Rajab, president of the Jacksonville Muslim Student Association, said he “believes Muslim women should not seek to emulate American women.” Right, because American women are all dumb bitches, sluts, and hos. We know what he’s thinking. Rajab said they should call themselves “the Righteous Woman Organization.” Get it? Non-Muslim women are not righteous.
The very phrase, “Muslim sorority,” is an oxymoron. Islam forbids alcohol and other behavior common to a sorority. Not that this has stopped Muslims from partaking. The sorority will send out challenges, including verses from the Koran. Gee, we wonder what type of hazing or initiation there will be. Some ideas: Dating an evil Zionist male. Or graffiti on the local Synagogue or Evangelical Church. Will there be any e-mails or principles denouncing the blowing up of innocent people, killing people just because they are non-Muslims, etc.? Don’t hold your breath.
“It will be a bit like . . . ‘America’s Next Top Model,'” said one of the sorority’s founders. America’s Next Top Model and Islamic women? No comment necessary.
