Al-Arian Walk Watch: Islamic Jihad Chief Goes Free Thanks to Incompetent Justice Dept.

By
We’ve been predicting for some time ( and ) that Islamic Jihad founder and chief Sami Al-Arian would walk, and we’re sad to say that we were right. Unfortunately, today, he was acquitted on 8 key terror-related counts, and the jury deadlocked on others (we doubt he’ll be retried on those). His co-defendants had similar results. All will go free.
While we can’t say whether this was an O.J.-style jury, we can say that the “prosecution” team was a Marcia Clark/Christopher Darden-style set of incompetent Assistant U.S. Attorneys and the judge was definitely Dancing Itoh material. This case should set back prosecutors’, including Cherie Krigsman’s, reputation as tough on terrorists–not to mention their careers, which should be over. Ditto for those at Justice Dept. Headquarters in Washington, who seem to screw every terror case up on purpose. Unfortunately, all will keep their jobs, but it sets America back tremendously.

Laura and George Bush and “Acquitted” Terrorist Al-Arian Clan

Krigsman and company threw in everything but the kitchen sink in this case, putting several jurors to sleep frequently during the case. They took five months to present her case, when it was strong and could have been presented in a much shorter time with less extraneous matter. The defense didn’t even make a case. They didn’t have to. Prosecutors did it for them.
They–and the rest of the Justice Department–could have taken some lessons from former Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard Convertino, who knew how to win a terrorism case, not how to blow it, like Al-Arian prosecutors did. Unfortunately, the P.C. Justice Department, which really doesn’t want to win these cases and dare upset the Muslim world that hates us, . It set the tone for this, the latest in a string of terrorism failures.
The lesson here: An incompetent Justice Department that repeatedly loses jury cases against terrorists should not be entrusted with a vital national security matter. We hope that, once Judge Alito becomes Justice Alito, the Bush Administration will revisit the case of enemy combatants and treating terrorists as a national security case–not a legal matter.

Attack on Men Alert: Lung Cancer Drug Research Focuses on Women ONLY; Affirmative Action

By
We’ve noted the continuing attacks on men in the form of feminization of men and affirmative action for women, including the .
Now, the attack on men has reached an even more disturbing area: cancer research. This latest trend is in today’s Wall Street Journal . . . if you read between the lines.
Hidden in an article entitled, “Researchers Probe Links Between Gender and Cancer,” the article talks about how lung cancer research for new drug treatments is now focusing on men. A Cedars-Sinai Medical Center study includes 10,000 women being signed up for a “Women’s Health Research Registry.”
Reports the Journal: “Most of these efforts are focused on women–in part because medical research has historically been more focused on men and doctors are playing catch-up.”
It’s truly outrageous that life-saving research is now a pawn in the feminism gain. This is even more disturbing when the statistics would indicate the necessity of focusing on men in lung cancer research. The Journal reports that “women have higher survival rates than men” when it comes to lung cancer.
Remember this man-hating outrage the next time your Congressman–and Lance Armstrong–talk about spending more of your tax money on lung cancer research. They, apparently, only mean spending more on cancer research for those who wear skirts.

Cause for Glee: More “Air America” Liberal Radio Failure

By
The brief liberal radio “career” of shrieking blonde annoyance Nancy Skinner is a great illustration of the continuing failure of liberal talk radio, specifically “Air America.”
Just several months ago, Skinner was lauded in a glowing Detroit News feature for her new show on Detroit’s “Air America” affiliate (the dimwit Detroit News reporter, Susan Whitall, kept calling Al Aqsa–as in Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade–“El Oxa”; guess she thought it was a Mexican mariachi band). But she and her show lasted just a half a year (or less) on the air as the liberal morning radio host on Air America’s WDTW. As reported by the Detroit Free Press’ John Smyntek, Democracy Radio, which was paying Skinner’s salary, RAN OUT OF MONEY. Pity.
Free Press political reporter Dawson Bell reports that Skinner’s and WDTW’s “share of the local radio audience is too small to measure” by Arbitron’s ratings system. What a smashing success this “Air America” is.
Skinner will now run against Republican U.S. Congressman Joe Knollenberg. We predict it will probably be as successful as her failed 2004 race for the U.S. Senate in Illinois, where she was also a failed liberal radio talk show host (Chicago’s WLS). In that case, we think we’ll recommend the Libertarian. Knollenberg has a record of wasting U.S. tax dollars on his Hezbollah terrorist buddies, and getting campaign contributions from them for his and kiddie’s campaigns in exchange (detailed here and ).

Jennings-ette: New ABC Anchoratrix Vargas Soft on Islamic Terror

By
When died, in August, we wrote about his career of sympathizing with Islamic terrorists and other leftoid fascisti causes (, , and ). We worried that Elizabeth Vargas was being primed for his coveted ABC News anchor spot.
Well, unfortunately, our fears have come to fruition. It’s official: Vargas is ABC’s new evening news anchoratrix (along with Bob Woodruff).
Last year, Vargas gave a softball interview to ne Stephen Georgiou), the pop singer turned HAMAS activist and fundraiser and no-fly list member. In fact, the very sympathetic interview was so softball that Vargas didn’t ask Islam if he’s a HAMAS supporter on camera during the interview. Instead of showing us the answer on the air, along with the rest of his phony, mush answers, she reported, “He said” that he declined to comment. Most of the disgustingly humanizing interview of a terrorism fundraiser was about what a nice, soft, snuggly guy Islam is (showing us his warm relationship with his young son, etc.).

Jihadi Journalist: ABC’s New Jennings-esque Anchoratrix Vargas

Perhaps Vargas was doing penance for marrying Jewish liberal singer Marc Cohn (of one hit-wonder “Walking on Memphis” fame), whom one music critic described as “your garden variety soft-rock wuss.”
Expect more of Vargas’ silliness, harmful views, and sympathetic-to-terrorists interviews to look forward to. Or not. You may note that ABC News has stopped running the promo, “More Americans get their news from ABC News than any other news source.” That’s because Americans have left ABC News and its network rivals in droves.
Just in time for Elizabeth Vargas.

SCHLUSSEL EXCLUSIVE: Target Forbids “Merry Christmas” (& Why You Can’t Always Believe Snopes)

By

Last year, it was Macy’s. This year, it’s apparently Target.

This weekend, several Target employees at Detroit area Targets told me that they have been told they are forbidden from saying “Merry Christmas” to customers. Doing so could result in firing, they told me, and are restricted to the now-conventional, bland “Happy Holidays.”

Target Wishes You a Merry KwanzRamadaNukkah

We were unable to contact Target PR people over the weekend, but judging from our past experiences with them, we will probably not get a response.

In the past, we’ve contacted Target to ask why the store sells clothing made in terrorism sponsor Syria and the United Arab Emirates (whose government funded a think tank that claims Americans and Jews were behind 9/11 and features Holocaust deniers), both of which are reason enough to limit your shoppping trips, there. Target’s media “relations” people repeatedly refused to return phone calls (Wal-Mart and K-Mart did, in fact, respond to similar, related questions).

Given what we’ve been reporting, keep these items in mind when you are doing your Christmas (or Chanukkah)and everyday shopping:

* : for illegal aliens (through contractors)

* Target: No “Merry Christmas”

This is yet another vivid illustration of why you CANNOT rely on self-anointed Internet “myth debunker” sites, like Snopes–which claims this isn’t true that this is Target policy. WHEN IT IS (according to several Target employees who contacted me and those I talked to at various Target stores, this weekend). (Snopes also got the story about WRONG from the beginning and CONTINUES to get it wrong.) Not sure who died and made Snopes king of the truth, but the site isn’t reliable.

Get your payday loans for the holidays, so you can shop at any retailer but Target.

Princeton U.: Free Speech for Far-Left Only, Not Former Terrorists Denouncing Jihad

By
Unfortunately, the fakery of “free speech” at our nation’s universities is something we’ve extensively .
Next time you hear lofty university leftists pontificating about the “free exchange of ideas” on campus or the need to allow free speech for even terrorists, like Sami Al-Arian (at the University of Michigan), and terrorist groups, like International Solidarity Movement (ISM) to recruit terrorists on campus (at Duke University), don’t believe that “free speech” applies to you. That means and anyone to the right of far left. They need not be so misguided as to think the First Amendment applies to them.

Princeton: No Tigers for Free Speech Here

Case in point is Princeton University. The Ivy League school was the site of an event featuring three reformed former Palestinian terrorists, Walid Shoebat, Ibrahim Abdallah and Zak Anani, who were going to speak out against terrorism and promote peace. But the idea of this was so anathema to leftist totalitarians running Princeton cancelled the event, saying the word “terrorist” in promotions for the event was “too inflammatory.” HUH? These are FORMER terrorists (the word “former” is on the materials, too, as in “former terrorists”) who have renounced and condemned Islamic terrorism and jihad.
The event was important, especially because one of the former terrorists, Abdallah, was born in Dearborn, Michigan, and emigrated to Israel at age 17 to become a PLO terrorist, seriously injuring people until he saw the light. We could learn a lot from his story.
But Princeton doesn’t want you to hear his story. We wonder why.

“Sleeper Cell”: Showtime’s Muslim FBI Agent Not the Real Thing; But US Muslim Terror Cell Very Real

By
Self-anointed, extremist Muslim leaders across America are up in arms over Showtime’s new show, “Sleeper Cell,” about a Muslim terrorist cell in Los Angeles, which will debut Sunday Night.
Too bad. Even the liberal New York Times just loves it. “Better than ”,” proclaims NYTimes TV critic Alessandra Stanley.
Maybe she likes it better because, in addition to a realistic, assorted variety of American Muslims who all want to kill us, the show–unlike “24”–features a Muslim FBI agent who is a loyal American. That’s our only objection to what sounds like a great show. In real life, the main Muslim FBI agent working on terrorism before and after 9/11, Gamal Abdel-Hafiz, was as disloyal to America as they come–tipping off targets of investigations and refusing to do surveillance and wiretaps in four separate investigations, including the case.

Michael Ealy: Halle Berry Boy-Toy Plays Unreal Muslim FBI Agent

What tells us most that this will probably be a great show: objections from far-left, self-anointed, unrepresentative Jewish “leaders” like Detroit’s Sharona Shapiro, who verbally services radical Islam as enthusiastically as Monica Lewinsky physically serviced Bill Clinton. She’s upset that Muslims are actually portrayed as terrorists, with one infiltrating the Los Angeles Jewish Community Center, posing as a Jewish coach for kids sports. This dupe, Shapiro, openly claims that we Americans are just not as smart as her on the “real Islam.” Puh-leeze. It’s vice versa. I’ve observed this calorically-gifted chick’s excessive pandering to the most extremist, pro-terror, anti-American, anti-Semitic Muslims (while they laughed at her), and it’s very clear she needs forced IQ and common sense injections.
Since she and extremist Muslims hate it, we think this show may just be just as good as (Unfortunately, one of the Muslim writers for “Sleeper Cell” thinks that apology was just terrific.) We especially like that there is a character who becomes an extremist Muslim and terrorist because his leftist Berkeley professor parents didn’t pay enough attention to him. Priceless.
The show’s tagline: “The enemy is here.” Amen. Glad someone in Hollywood finally noticed.
We’ll try to watch “Sleeper Cell,” Sunday Night, and let you know. Stay tuned for an upcoming column.
***UPDATE: We did not watch (we’re Cable Free) and did not find anyone who had Showtime in time. So, sorry, no review at this time. We’ll try to contact Showtime for a complete tape.
