Won’t “Start Me Up”: Tell the NFL to Drop the Rolling Stones

By Debbie Schlussel
As I first reported , weeks ago (later reported on Drudge–yesterday), the Rolling Stones have a song on their new album, entitled “Sweet Neo-con,” which attacks President Bush, Christians, America, and the war in Iraq.
That’s bad enough.
But now, the NFL plans to feature the Stones in their NFL Monday Night broadcasts, this season. As reported, yesterday, by my friend, Detroit Free Press rock critic Brian McCollum (the only conservative rock critic for a major American newspaper), the NFL plans a whole season joint venture with the Stones.
Big mistake.
McCollum reports the NFL will do a season-long promo campaign with the Stones and, likely, feature the anti-American band in the Super Bowl halftime show in Detroit. The NFL will also feature the Stones in a September 8th kick-off show on ABC.

Big lips, the official new symbol of America-haters (licking the rears of our enemies)

In case the NFL didn’t notice, Bush got re-elected, and more than half the country voted for him. Regardless of the political views of NFL and ABC Sports execs, featuring the Stones–just after they will have released a left-wing diatribe set to music–isn’t just bad politics. It’s bad business.
Red Staters are big football fans. Why upset them? And why feature a band that now disdains the country off of whom it made its fortune–America? No country fan am I, but I vote for Toby Keith, instead.
I love pro football, but it’s a good thing there were no televised NFL games and no Rolling Stones during WWII. Imagine our troops in Iraq, viewing the Superbowl in their tents, having to watch these British old-fogies–who denounce our soldiers’ efforts in “Sweet Neo-con”–strumming in air-conditioned, lip-synch comfort. Big lips sink American ships.
Tell the NFL to drop the Rolling Stones. They gather no moss.

More on Peter Jennings’ Friend, Tariq Hamdi: Indicted for Immigration, Mortgage-Loan Fraud; Flees U.S.

By Debbie Schlussel
What a coincidence! Yesterday, I write , the man Peter Jennings repeatedly presented as a “journalist” during his 9/11 coverage. And today’s Washington Post has an article about Hamdi.
Because I’d written, back in 2001 and since, about Hamdi’s ties to Bin Laden–he provided Bin Laden the satellite battery for the attacks on our embassies in East Africa, worked for a charity raided by Customs for laundering billions to Qaeda (International Institute for Islamic Thought), and was an employee of indicted Islamic Jihad chief Sami Al-Arian–I was shocked when Jennings repeatedly presented Hamdi only as “journalist” on 9/11 and post 9/11 attacks (who has ZERO experience as a journalist). Jennings, while mentioning absolutely nothing about Hamdi’s disturbing activities, also noted that Hamdi was his friend.
The Washington Post repeats what I’ve said about Jennings’ friend Hamdi, but adds more. Apparently Hamdi was just indicted for immigration and mortgage-loan fraud. The Post repeats what I’ve written about the Bin Laden satellite battery. It also adds, “ABC did not respond to a request for more information about its relationship with Hamdi.”
Here’s what I know about ABC’s relationship with Hamdi: HAMDI WAS A FRIEND OF PETER JENNINGS. Enough said.
The Hamdi indictment also states that in 1994 Hamdi had been the U.S. representative for the Committee for the Defense of Legitimate Rights in Saudi Arabia, “a London-based organization that has embraced many of bin Laden’s views,” according to the Post.
And guess what? Tariq Hamdi has now fled the U.S. Gee I wonder why. Don’t count on him coming back to face justice.
Question for ICE (Immigration & Customs Enforcement) press flack Dean Boyd: With everything that was known about him, why was Tariq Hamdi allowed to leave the U.S.?
***UPDATE: ICE spokesman Dean Boyd tells me that ICE believed Hamdi would return to the country, and that it was the U.S. Attorney’s Office (Justice Department) that made the bone-headed (my word, not Boyd’s) decision to bring down the indictment and have it unsealed after Hamdi left the country and before he returned–which he now never will. Boyd says Hamdi is now a fugitive.
While ICE did its job in this case, this is yet another huge screw-up by our friends at the “Justice” Department.

Jihadi Journalist: The Real Peter Jennings

By Debbie Schlussel
While the rest of the world is blindly singing the praises of Peter Jennings, here’s a reality check: Peter Jennings did more for the cause of Islamic terrorism than any media figure today. And that’s nothing to celebrate, honor, or even memorialize.
Before there was Al Jazeera, there was Peter Jennings.
From the beginning of Jennings’ career until his death, his biased coverage went beyond the pale, bending over backward in “understanding” the terrorists who hate us– from seeing “their side” when he covered the siege and then murder of innocent Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics to honoring an Al-Qaeda operative with a prized “commentator” spot during Jennings coverage of the 9/11 attacks.

U.S. Embassy Bombings 7 Years Ago Today

By Debbie Schlussel
I’ve written about some of the that have been, unfortunately, neglected and forgotten. Today, for example, is the 7th anniversary of Al-Qaeda’s bombing of the two U.S. embassies in East Africa–in Tanzania and Kenya.
Sadly, absolutely NO mention of this on any of the Sunday Morning political shows–including FOX News’ “Fox News Sunday.” Hate to repeat the trite and obvious, but Santayana is proved right again. (“He who forgets his history is doomed to repeat it.”) We fell asleep after the ’93 Qaeda attack on the World Trade Center. We fell asleep after the Qaeda embassy attacks until Qaeda’s 9/11 attacks. We fell asleep after 9/11 until . . . .

A Real ICE Hero; Abu Moskowitz Take Note

By Debbie Schlussel
Joe Webber is my hero. And, yes, he is an ICE (Immigration & Customs Enforcement) Special Agent in Charge–for Houston.
But he’s the good kind. Not like . Webber reminds me of the days of Gary Waugh, a great American–and one of Abu Moskowitz’s predecessors as Special Agent in Charge in Michigan, the heart of Islamic America. Gary was my friend, and he knew–just like Joe Webber–that his job was to do what’s good for America and our safety as Americans against foreign enemy invaders.

Joe Webber: ICE’s Great American

Webber nearly died in 9/11, going back into his offices at the World Trade Center to rescue people. He survived for a reason.
How sad that some newer Homeland Security chieftains are with our enemies– AND . He’s doing more for America’s safety and security on sick leave then Abu Moskowitz will do in a lifetime (though Abu Moskowitz’s damage far surpasses it). If only guys like Joe Webber were running the show, not retiring into the sunset. And if only the were out of the terrorism picture. Before 9/11 and since, the only thing they’re producing is a bad product.
Who’s looking out for you? After Webber retires, it’s hard to say . . . .

Classless Billboard Message of the Week

By Debbie Schlussel
Not repeating it here. In this case, litigation by Toys’R’Us is completely warranted. Talk about defining deviancy down. You don’t need to be a prude to notice we’re in warp speed.
*** UPDATE: “Shannon” has a great comment on this (read the comments section). It is a point I hadn’t thought of. It’s still a very classless billboard, but if the feminists can be classless–with NO fuss from anyone–why can’t the sleazy “men’s establishment”? I vote with “Shannon”. I still hope Toys’R’Us protects its trademarked name, though.

Save America, Buy These Books

By Debbie Schlussel
Late summer reading. These books get my absolute 100% recommendation–the Debbie Schlussel Seal of Approval. They are Must-Reads.
* The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades) by Robert Spencer (anything by Spencer is great); Also visit his great site, Jihad Watch
* The Oslo Syndrome: Delusions of a People Under Siege by Kenneth Levin (a real psychiatrist shows how and why people give in to Islamic terrorists and how to avoid this sickness, great historical view of how Israel is committing suicide for a phony peace); A powerful, masterful book!–review coming soon
* Infiltration: How Muslim Spies and Subversives Have Penetrated Washington by Paul Sperry

Are John McCain & USA Today Insane?!: Rolling Over for Terrorists

By Debbie Schlussel
A USA Today editorial, today, endorses John McCain’s absurd policy for handling prisoners. It would:
* Bar the military from treating detainees in “cruel, inhuman or degrading” ways.
HELLO? . . . Cruel, degrading? That could mean anything–like they didn’t like the Halal glazed chicken and preferred Baba Ghanoush. We might as well send detainees to Disney World. Or just not have detainees. Unbelievable. Are we fighting a war . . . or running Club Med?
* Require military interrogators to stick to Interrogation methods laid out in the Army field manual.
YES . . . that’s the way to get Mohamed Al-Kahtani–Osama Bin Laden’s driver, the 20th 9/11 hijacker–to talk. Read a manual (written who knows when). Gee, I’m sure the Qaeda people never read the field manual–in training to know how to resist U.S. interrogations.
The ludicrous USA Today editorial continues by decrying “disturbing details behind the questioning of Mohamed Al-Kahtani . . . which included treating the suspected Saudi terrorist as a dog.” And there’s something wrong with that?
Puh-leeze. I repeat, Al-Kahtani was Bin Laden’s driver and was supposed to be the 20th hijacker. Remember those 3,000 people that were killed? McCain and USA Today apparently had their memories erased.
Perfect timing for this editorial, too, since yesterday’s newly released Ayman Al-Zawahiri video promises more Al-Qaeda attacks on the U.S, calling the 9/11 casualties, “merely the losses from the initial clashes.” Use McCain’s USA Today recommended techniques, and we’ll NEVER find out any information that might prevent such attacks.
And McCain has the gall to compare his experiences as a POW in Vietnam to these cold-blooded killers in Gitmo. He owes his fellow Vietnam POWs a HUGE apology for this outrageous comparison.
“This is not about terrorists,” McCain said. “This is about who we are.” This man has been reading too many Dr. Phil books.
No, this IS about the terrorists, and whether we are fools and idiots who molly-coddle killers or responsible freedom-loving Americans who want to continue with those freedoms versus forced wearing of hijabs and kefiyehs.
USA Today stresses the tired, old political correctness about how our effective interrogation methods are “convincing Muslims that U.S. commitment to justice and human rights is hollow.” Huh? Is this publication actually saying that we need to convince those who behead the Nick Bergs and Paul Johnsons, etc., then parade their heads around on video, of OUR commitment to justice and human rights?
The only way to show our commitment to justice for the 3,000 people murdered on 9/11 is to do whatever it takes to make sure it never happens again.

Class Act E-Mail of the Day: Arabic Assassin

By Debbie Schlussel
Recently, I wrote about ,” the finally-fired TSA screener/rapper who sympathizes with Al-Qaeda, warned that 9/11 will happen again on 9/11/05, and called for more terrorist attacks.
I wrote about Khalaf’s “classy” rap lyrics in which he fantasizes about raping Christians, Blacks, and little girls, burns a nun to death, beats a priest, and rapes a woman who filed a sexual harassment complaint about him (after he kills her–he rapes her dead body in the coffin). He attacks Blacks, Christians, and Jews.
Well, no-one can accuse Khalaf of being inconsistent. Here is the e-mail he just sent me. As you can see, he is a proud graduate of the Emily Bin Laden School of Etiquette, whose alumni send me such classy e-mails on a regular basis to remind me why we are fighting a cultural war to take back our country and defend Western values. Nice grammar, too. How nice that this creep was checking your bags (and those of the terrorists with whom he sympathizes) for over SIX MONTHS!
Since he sent his phone number and e-mail address, let the “Arabic Assassin” know what you think of him.

Religion of Peace Update: Honor Beheading of Cab-Driver in Windsor, Canada

By Debbie Schlussel
The Religion of Peace (RoP) knows no bounds, borders, or other limitations. While the Detroit area is the heart of Islamic America, Windsor, Canada–just over the border–has a significant population of RoP members.
The latest “peaceful” incident is the beheading murder of cab driver and father of three, Thualfikar Alattiya.
Alattiya is Exhibit A that Muslim honor-killings happen here–and they happen to males, not just females. Alattiya was stabbed 27 times in the back seat of his taxi. “His neck was cut so dramatically that only the spinal cord kept his head attached to his body,” according to the Windsor Star. He was honor-killed over a dispute regarding the purchase of property for a mosque.
Seven members of the Al-Ghazzi clan were charged in the murder, including a 16-year-old daughter who showed no remorse. She concocted alibis for and laundered the bloody clothes of the murderers, but will only do up to 3 years in a juvenile facility. “Dressed in a . . . black hijab, the girl . . . blew her mother a kiss before being taken back into custody.” Nauseating.
Middle East violence of RoP is too close for comfort on our shores.
