Does consuming wontons at a Chinese restaurant make you an expert on Sino-American relations?

Patrick Swayze thinks so.

Just a week before the election, that’s the logic Swayze—the has-been “Dirty Dancing” actor—used in an absurd interview he gave to generate press for his wife’s latest failed film, “One Last Dance.”

Speaking with Agence France Presse (it figures he’d pick the French) while in Warsaw, Swayze criticized the United States for being “insensitive” and “disrespectful” in Iraq.

“I know a great deal about the Middle East because I’ve been raising Arabian horses,” he said.

I eat Italian ices, but, unlike Mr. Dirty Dancing, I’m not about to lecture Prime Minister Berlusconi about the economic situation in Florence.

“I’ve been trying to get to Iraq for a while just to support the guys,” Swayze said. “No publicity no nothing, just go and hang out with them.”

Right.  Swayze isn’t interested in the publicity.  Yet, he was trolling for an outlet to criticize our country while on foreign soil solely to promote a movie, and the only taker he could find was the French press outlet.  I’m sure “the guys” – our brave soldiers – will just love hanging out with this Sean Penn lite.

He doesn’t really mean it, of course.  “The hard part is probably now if I go I’ll die,” Swayze says, qualifying his “hanging with our guys” comment.  They’d never behead the effeminate actor in tight pants.  After all, he understands the Iraqis (because he raised Arabian horses).  He can “reason” with them.  “You understand their rules and their needs,” Swayze counsels.  Like the need to behead and practice jihad?

Poor Patrick.  What a position he must be in, that he must spew such idiocy to get attention.  In his 50s, his career is long over – his biggest roles, as a dancer in tight pants at a Jewish summer resort and a ghost who makes pottery, are decades old.  Unless you count Swayze’s real life role, in 2000, as a reportedly inebriated pilot who crashed a plane while allegedly drunk.  Three men who helped Swayze at the crash scene were arrested for lying to police and covering up how they helped him dispose of half of a 30-pack of Miller Lite.

Come to think of it, maybe Swayze was a little wasted when he made those ludicrous comments about his “understanding” of the Middle East (because he raised Arabian horses).

Then there’s his failed role as a cross-dresser in the bomb, “To Wong Foo . . .”  It prepared Swayze well for his current cross-dressing as a patriot while he’s criticizing America in Warsaw.   Instead of make-up, a bra, and panties, he’s wearing the “I support the troops” – “I want to just go and hang out with them” façade.

Swayze’s just like every other annoying, liberal Hollywood airhead who thinks they understand the Middle East because, like Swayze, they raise Arabian horses, ate falafel once, or bought a Moroccan necklace at Kitson.  They “understand” and sympathize with those who hate us because, after all, they once used an Arabic waterpipe instead of a bong to get high.

Swayze, a pan-Arabist, encompasses the “I’m not a doctor but I play one on TV” ethos.  In 1996, he was set to play “The White Sheik.”  Fortunately, the movie was shelved, permanently.

Based on a book by Sheik Sultan Al Qassimi, ruler of Sharjah (one of the seven United Arab Emirates), the script was about Johannes Herman Poll, an American boy who is “adopted” by an Arab couple and rises to become a powerful sheik in the 19th Century. Actually, Poll was lost by his parents, and was taken by an Arabic Muslim family, which converted him to Islam.

It’s interesting that Swayze picked the United Arab Emirates.  According to the book, “From the Desert to the Derby,” by Jason Levin, ten of the nineteen 9/11 hijackers carried documents from Dubai of the Emirates.  Money that was funneled to Mohamed Atta, the hijacking leader, came directly from banks in Dubai, where there are no laws on the books dealing with money laundering.  The Emirates’ current President, Sheikh Zayed, funds the Zayed Center, which funds lectures and books denying the Holocaust and claiming that 9/11 was a US/Israeli/Jewish conspiracy.

In Dubai, Swayze told Gulf Today newspaper he badly wanted to play a sheik.

No wonder Sean Penn is miffed at Matt Stone and Trey Parker.

He and other liberal airhead celebs–like Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins, and Alec Baldwin–finally get their comeuppance. 

They’re dismembered, incinerated, and otherwise tortuously eliminated by the “South Park” creators.

Unfortunately, it’s just the puppet version.  And it’s only on celluloid. The real-life versions of these self-righteous glitterati pains in the rear are still with us.

But it’s always nice to fantasize — as Stone and Parker do in Team America: World Police, a cinematic political satire, which debuts Friday.

Just like in real-life (though they won’t admit it), George Clooney, Matt Damon, Samuel L. Jackson, and other assorted idiotic Hollywoodites, are working with the terrorists.  In this film, they are literally working with the terrorists—led by Baldwin and North Korean Communist leader Kim Jong-Il—to destroy us.

Reminiscent of John Kerry, power-mad marionette versions of Baldwin and his fellow Hollywooders kvetch that the War on Terror has made the world hate us.  But the puppet-celebs hate us with equal vigor and work to stop Team America. 

Penn constantly spouts off about his trip to Iraq, last year. On a Peter Jennings (who strangely escapes Stone’s and Parker’s ire) broadcast, Penn fertilizes lyrical on Iraqi life before “Team America”: “They had rivers of chocolate,” and the children had “gumdrop smiles.”  Sounds more like the set of “Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory.”

As members of the “Film Actors Guild”, they are all FAGs.

Mustard-stained Michael Moore is a homicide bomber, blowing himself to bits (after stuffing himself with hot dogs, while protesting the War on Terror)!

I think I’ve just found my new fave filmmakers. 

In the past, I’ve criticized Stone and Parker.  They created the absurd “That’s My Bush” for Comedy Central, planning to portray the Bush daughters as incestuous lesbian lovers.  But angry e-mails and phone calls appealed to the network’s better judgment, and the lesbian plot line was dropped.  Deservedly, the series failed and was cancelled after only a few episodes.

This time, Stone and Parker have chosen their targets with aplomb.

And they’ve redeemed themselves in other ways.  In a recent Rolling Stone interview, they ripped Sean “P. Diddy” Colmes’ “Vote or Die” campaign.  What P. Diddy really means is “Dummies Register to Vote Kerry or Die,” though those options might not be mutually exclusive.

Stone said he didn’t think uninformed people should be encouraged to go to the polls.  And I agree.  It’s only the liberals who want to register every Spicoli (that means you, Sean Penn) who can’t even decide the next place to pierce or tattoo, much less choose the next leader of the Free World.  Remember Bill Clinton’s  Motor Voter Bill?  It’s helped P. Diddy on his way to getting a Million Moron March into the booth to pull the lever.

Ads for “Team America” announce:  “The movie liberal Hollywood doesn’t want you to see.  Conservatives fear it.”

Wrong!  This conservative loved it.

If you are prudish, this movie is not for you.  (Among other things, “multi-positioned” marionette sex scenes narrowly avoided an NC-17 rating and would be X-rated with human actors.) 

But for the rest of us, this movie is hilarious.  The laughs are at the expense of UN weapons inspectors, liberal Hollywood elites, smarmy Broadway shows with silly social messages, Communist and Islamic terrorists, and yes, our government: 

• Hans Blix, denied inspection access to Kim Jong Il’s palace, threatens to send a nasty letter from UN leaders.  Amused by this impotence, Kim Jong Il feeds Blix to his pet sharks.  How about adding Scott Ritter and Mohammed El-Baradei for dessert?

• Janeane Garofalo, in a male voice, tells her fellow actors (FAGs) to read the newspaper and then present the information as their own opinions. 

• “Team America’s” hero, Gary Johnston, is plucked to fight terror from Broadway where he is starring in an absurd musical about AIDS (“Lease:  The Musical”).  A noblesse-oblige audience in suits and pearls is moved to tears over a ludicrous song, with lyrics “AIDS, AIDS, AIDS, AIDS, AIDS, everyone’s dead.”  He’s “the perfect weapon” against terror, since he’s an actor who double-majored in theater and world languages at the University of Iowa.

• In spying on terrorists in Egypt, Team America is pretty obtrusive.  They wear red, white, blue and silver uniforms.  The protagonist’s Middle Eastern disguise consists of black cotton-balls glued on his face.  That’s a dig at our government’s incompetent agents, inadequate human intelligence, and the obtrusive Sky Marshalls we’ve been reading about –with their stiff cheap suits on flights. 

Special-effects bonus:  Downtown Paris gets destroyed (ditto for an Egyptian Pyramid).  While Team America is fighting Islamic terrorists with WMDs, French men and women on Parisian streets are oblivious and clueless amidst the terror.  Art imitates life.

Stone and Parker get it right.  While they make fun of the government and how it conducts the War on Terror, their message is clear:  Regardless of our faults,  the terrorists are real bad guys, not us.  That’s something Hollywood and the left don’t get.  Stone and Parker have a field day with the self-hatred amongst that slice of so-called Americans.

“I’m sick of hearing actors talk about s–t they don’t know about," Stone says. "And we’ve been on the ‘bash Michael Moore’ bandwagon for a long time." “It’s fine and good for everyone to hate us (Americans) and think we’re (jerks), but there is a big difference between (jerks) and (psychos)” like Osama Bin Laden, Parker said. 

Finally somebody’s teaching Hollywood the difference.

Is President Bush really the anti-terror President?

Then, why was his campaign honcho, Oakland County, Michigan Republican Chairman Paul Welday, praising a HAMAS front-group as having “shown the most commitment to democracy of any group I’ve ever known”?

And why did Welday (pfw@renaissancestrategies.us) equate Israeli efforts to eliminate terrorists with mass homicide bombings in pizza shops and coffee houses?

Welday isn’t just anybody.  He was one of the few Bush “Pioneers” in 2000, raising over $100,000 for the campaign.  In the important swing State of Michigan, Welday, a lobbyist, regularly appears on Michigan television on behalf of Bush and the GOP.

On Sunday, Welday, appeared on behalf of President Bush (at the White House’s request) at the Michigan candidate forum held by the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR).

“Appeared” is a loose term.  “Pandered” is more accurate.

Both Oliver “Buck” Revell and Steve Pomerantz, former FBI Directors of Counterterrorism, call CAIR, a HAMAS front-group.  CAIR got its original seed money and executive director, Nihad Awad, from another group (Islamic Association for Palestine) that was started with $490,000 from the personal bank account of HAMAS political director Moussa Abu Marzook.  CAIR now gets significant funding from Saudi Arabia.

CAIR Chief Awad, an avowed HAMAS supporter, compared Hezbollah—the terrorist group that murdered over 300 U.S. Marines and civilians–to Patrick Henry and the founding fathers. After the 9/11 attacks, CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper refused to specifically denounce Bin Laden.  CAIR designated the conviction of the “Blind Cleric,” Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, for the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, as a hate-crime.  Its spokesman, Hooper, and Board Chairman, Omar Ahmad, support transforming the United States into a Muslim theocratic state.

I’ve written a great deal about CAIR and it’s scary relationship with President Bush.

Is this the kind of group with which a counter-terror Prez hangs?  Only if he’s trying to keep up with Sybil.

Back to Bush’s representative, Paul Welday.  In his remarks, Welday, told the CAIR-Michigan audience:

“This group – many of you – friends of mine – does a great job of showing the balance of the Muslim community as committed Americans . . . .  You have shown the most commitment to democracy of any group I’ve ever known.”

Even more nauseating, Welday went on to equate efforts to fight terrorism with the terrorism attacks themselves.  “We need to stop the [Israeli’s] sending of missiles into the Gaza Strip.  We need to stop the violence on both sides.”

Israeli missiles in Gaza were directed specifically—and successfully—at HAMAS and other terrorist leaders.  The latest was in response to Palestinian terrorists’ murder of two young Ethiopian Israeli boys while they were playing outside.

Paul Welday apparently thinks those leaders deserve to live to continue masterminding their mass murders of women and children eating pizza, drinking coffee, and playing ball.  In Welday’s world, terrorists and their victims are morally equivalent.

CAIR’s support for terrorism, murder (including convicted cop-killers, like H. Rap Brown), anti-Semitism, and assassination fatwas. against moderate Muslim-Americans here, apparently does not phase the Bush campaign and its hand-picked representative, Welday.

BUSH AIDE’S FRIENDS HONOR WORLD TRADE CENTER BOMBER

While Welday was pandering to this extremist group, the audience was given fliers for CAIR-Michigan’s upcoming annual “Ramadan Fundraising Iftar” Dinner, featuring keynote speaker, Imam Siraj Wahhaj.

If you’re unsure whether CAIR supports terror, Wahhaj should seal the deal.  An  unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, Wahhaj served as a character witness for the “Blind Cleric,” Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, who was convicted in the bombing.  Wahhaj was tight with four of those convicted in the bombing, two of whom were his mosque congregants.

In a 1991 speech before the Islamic Association of North Texas, Wahhaj a/k/a “Jeffrey 12X” (from his Nation of Islam days) called Operation Desert Storm, “one of the most diabolical plots ever in the annals of history” and predicted that America will fall unless it “accepts the Islamic agenda.”

That is whom Bush representative Welday’s “democratic friends” will be honoring.

BUSH AIDE’S FRIENDS:  CAIR-MICHIGAN’S ESTEEMED LEADERSHIP

Then there’s the esteemed CAIR-Michigan “friends” with most of whom Welday appeared on the podium:

• Haaris J. Ahmad – A lawyer for Wayne County, Michigan, Ahmad was CAIR-Michigan’s executive director, and led protests against the detention of the-now deported Rabbih Haddad, whose charity was shut down by President Bush for funding Al-Qaeda.

In 2003, Ahmad surreptitiously called my Detroit radio show to defend indicted terrorist Sami Al-Arian’s fundraising for Islamic Jihad’s homicide bombings, saying it was “free speech.”  That “free speech” included the murder of American college student Alisa Flatow.  When I outed his identity, he hung up.

Ahmad named the law firm he operated out of his home, “Andalusia Legal, PC.”  Andalusia—or al-Andalus—is the Arabic name given the Iberian Peninsula by its Muslim conquerors and refers to both the Muslim caliphate and the general period of Muslim rule.  Those who use the term are generally those who wish Spain and the rest of the world still remained under Muslim rule and desire a regression to that.

• Shereef Akeel – CAIR-Michigan’s lawyer, Akeel is the Johnny

Cochran-esque ambulance-chaser of Detroit’s radical Islamists.  I am one of many who have been the recipients of his absurd, threatening letters, attempting to silence those who expose his extremist cohorts and clients with nuisance lawsuits.  Now, Akeel has found the ultimate pot-of-gold in Islamist litigation:  He filed a class-action lawsuit against American taxpayers on behalf of countless Abu Ghraib prisoners.

He is working the case with his best friend, FBI investigatee Mohammed Alomari, the author of countless anti-Semitic, anti-American conspiracy theorist texts.  Among other things, Alomari is under investigation because he is tied to LIFE for Relief and Development, an organization which laundered money to HAMAS and is believed to help fund Iraqi uprisings against US soldiers.

• Najah Bazzy –At Sunday’s event, she proudly proclaimed from the podium that she’s “embarrassed” to be an American.  I’m embarrassed she’s American, too.  Glamour Magazine proudly featured her as its model Islamic-American poster girl.  Bazzy was a head Muslim transcultural nurse at Oakwood Hospital, which was raided for furnishing fraudulent Medicaid coverage for the deliveries of pregnant Muslim foreigners. Draw your own conclusions.  Welday, by the way, didn’t respond to Bazzy’s “embarrassed to be an American” comment.

• Yahyah Basha –Dr. Basha, who also appeared, at the “personal request” of the Bush White House, was the national president of the now-defunct, extremist American Muslim Council, now defunct because its founder and Chairman, Abdurahman Alamoudi, sits in jail for involvement with terrorists and for plotting to kill the Saudi Crown Prince (paid to do so by Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi).  AMC honored, supported, and endorsed terrorists tied to HAMAS, Al-Qaeda, and the like.  Basha is now president of the American Muslim Alliance, another radical group.  Incredibly, Welday’s GOP Committee is located in Basha’s Royal Oak, Michigan building.  One wonders what the rental deal is, what Basha got in return.It’s tough to be on top of everything when you’re helping connect the Prez with terror supporters.  Maybe that’s why a recent FDA inspection of his nearby facility revealed “serious compromise in the quality of the mammography services offered.”

BUSH AIDE, WELDAY’S HISTORY OF TERROR-PANDERING

Welday, who hopes to run for Congress, isn’t new to the terror-pander industry.  As chief of staff to Congressman Joe Knollenberg (R-Michigan), he sought $268 million in tax-funds for Hezbollah-controlled Southern Lebanon, at the request of Jim Zogby of the Arab-American Institute (who also heads up Arab-American Democrats and was a Gore campaign senior advisor).  That’s almost a million for every U.S. Marine Hezbollah murdered.  Welday’s boss, Knollenberg, was repaid for this effort, receiving big campaign dollars from Nijad Fares, son of Hezbollah-backed Lebanese Deputy Prime Minister Issam Fares.

But Welday isn’t the only key Bush aide and GOP leader to pander to Islamist extremists.  While Welday was sucking up in Michigan, a giant sucking sound was heard in Ohio, where GOP Chairman, Robert T. Bennett, was making similar comments at an Ohio CAIR forum.

Despite his drooling and gushing, the Muslim audience loudly booed Welday, anyway.  And polls show the majority of Muslims and Arabs aren’t voting for Bush.  (Even when they did, in 2000, Bush lost Michigan, home to America’s largest Muslim bloc, by TEN percentage points.)  Welday’s unseemly, fruitless pursuit of their votes—especially those associated with CAIR—at any cost, smells of a jilted ex-girlfriend who keeps coming back for more jilting.

Some people will do anything to get votes in a swing-state.  In parts of Nevada, the profession is even legal.

Remember President Bush’s oft-repeated, “You’re either on our side or the terrorists’ side”?  When Bush’s key Michigan campaign aide pays homage to Islamist terror-supporters, which side is he on?

It’s a question Confucius might ask.  But no-one can answer

A guy who wrote and performed a song called “Peace Train” could never be a terrorist, right?

Wrong.

Why was the “artist” formerly known as Cat Stevens denied entry to the U.S., yesterday?

Maybe it has something to do with Yusuf Islam (his latest name du jour) a/k/a Stevens a/k/a Stephen Georgiou’s ties to terror groups.  Or maybe it has something to do with Stevens’ obsession with spreading hate around the world.

While the world knows him as the guy who sang “Peace Train,” the real tune Stevens/Islam has been singing reeks of fatwas, anti-Semitism, HAMAS front-groups, and Al-Qaeda fundraisers.

Here are some of Mr. Peace Train’s “peaceful” activities:

Cat Stevens supports murdering critics of Islam.

Remember Salman Rushdie, Muslim author of “The Satanic Verses,” who dared criticize Islam?  Remember how Iran’s late Ayatollah Khomeini issued a fatwa calling for the vigilante murder of Rushdie?  Islam/Stevens/Georgiou supported that death sentence.

In Yusuf Islam’s “Wild World”, you have the freedom to write terribly annoying songs.  But dare write critically about the religion of head-choppers, and your head is destined for Chop-Chop Square, with Mr. Peace Train’s full support.

Cat Stevens hates Jews.

He’ll apparently ride the “Peace Train” only if there aren’t any Jews or other “infidels” anywhere near the tracks.  Yes, in 1988, the singer of “Peace Train” authored an “informational pamphlet,” called “Eyewitness,” containing these peaceful words:

“The Jews seem neither to respect God nor his creation. Their own holy books contain the curse of God brought upon them by their prophets on account of their disobedience to Him and mischief in the earth. We have seen the disrespect for religion displayed by those who consider themselves to be ‘God’s chosen people.’…There will be no justice until all the land is given back to its rightful owners… Only Islam can bring peace back to the Holy Land.”

It’s not just what Islam ne Stevens wrote in the anti-Semitic pamphlet, it’s for whom he wrote it:  the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), a HAMAS front-group with ties to Al-Qaeda. 

Founded with a $490,000.00 check from the personal bank account of indicted HAMAS political director of Moussa Abu Marzook, IAP distributed the HAMAS charter, official HAMAS intifada communiqués issued from Gaza, and HAMAS glory records, which are tributes to HAMAS’ "violent successes" and lists of all the infidels it murdered.  IAP also produces HAMAS training and recruitment videos.

IAP’s finances and board were entwined with those of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, which in December 2001, the U.S. government shut down and froze the assets of, saying that it finances HAMAS. IAP is a defendant in a lawsuit filed by the parents of David Boim, an American teenager murdered by HAMAS.

In December 2001, federal authorities deported IAP leader Ghassan Dahduli on immigration violations. Dahduli’s name was found in the address book of Wadih El-Hage, Osama bin Laden’s former finance chief and personal secretary, who was convicted in the 1998 bombings of two American embassies in east Africa.

Not surprising, Cat Stevens won’t condemn HAMAS.

Cat Stevens & Al-Qaeda

In May 1999, Stevens/Islam was the keynote speaker at the “Second ‘United for Al-Quds Conference.’”  Al-Quds is the Islamic name for Jerusalem.  The conference was sponsored by the “Who’s Who” of America’s radical Muslim groups which support terror and refuse to denounce HAMAS and Hezbollah (which murdered over 300 American marines and civilians in the 1980s, while they slept).

One of the main sponsors of this conference was American Muslims for Global Peace and Justice.  The group, which spearheads the Muslim boycott of Starbucks (because its CEO is Jewish), was founded and run by the late Mahboob Khan, who raised money for Al-Qaeda at the Santa Clara mosque he founded and headed.  In the late ‘90s, Khan twice brought Al-Qaeda deputy Ayman Al-Zawahiri, himself, into the US on a fake passport, to raise the money at the mosque.  (Incredibly, Khan’s son, Suhail Khan, is a Bush political appointee and chief legal counsel to the Federal Highway Administration, where he has access to transport schedules for major weaponry and hazardous materials.)

True to form, Stevens, in his keynote speech at the conference, entitled “Jerusalem:  The First and Last Scene of Faith’s Struggle” (a speech about Jihad for Jerusalem), said the Jews “were lowered to abject levels of disgrace and dishonor.”

Cat Stevens’ map of the world looks just like Al-Qaeda’s, HAMAS’, and Islamic Jihad’s map of the world.  His website’s map lists every country – EXCEPT, there’s no Israel.  Instead, there’s a new country, called “Holyland” in its place.  Click on the blank map on Cat Stevens’ personal website to reveal the hidden state names on his “revised” planet.  Hmmmm . . . . Let me guess:  the new Prime Minister of “Holyland” is name Abu-something or other.  Stevens calls this “small kindness.”

Cat Stevens & Terrorist Cronies, Ad Nauseam

In September 1999, Stevens delivered the five-time daily call to prayer at the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) annual conference.  At the event, he and NBA Star Tariq Abdul-Wahad attacked America’s freedoms.  

Saudi-funded ISNA is at the forefront of promoting extremist Wahhabi Islam and owns and controls at least 27% of America’s mosques and many American Islamic schools through an ISNA subsidiary, the Islamic Trust.  Stevens was invited for this honor by ISNA’s then-chief, Muzammil Siddiqi, a prominent, radical Muslim who openly supports martyrdom, jihad, and making the US a Muslim country.  Siddiqi opposes Muslims serving in the U.S. military and used ISNA to raise money for HAMAS’ Political Director Marzook and the Islamic Jihad terrorist group.

Stevens was the featured main speaker at a Virginia fundraiser for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) on November 11, 1996. 

Former FBI counterterrorism chief Oliver “Buck” Revell calls CAIR a HAMAS front group.  CAIR got its seed money from IAP (and therefore, from HAMAS), as well as its founder/executive director, Nihad Awad, who was an IAP employee.  Awad, an avowed HAMAS supporter, compared Hezbollah to Patrick Henry and the founding fathers. After the 9/11 attacks, CAIR spokesman Ibrahi Hooper refused to specifically denounce Bin Laden.  CAIR designated the conviction of the “blind cleric,” Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing as a hate-crime.  Like IAP and ISNA, CAIR strongly supports HAMAS and Hezbollah and receives significant Saudi funding.  Its spokesman, Hooper, and Board Chairman, Omar Ahmad, support making the United States into a Muslim country.

Now CAIR is returning the favor — whining about Stevens’ refused U.S. entry, just like they kvetch over every deported terror supporter. 

Cat Stevens Favorite Radical Cleric

Then, there’s Cat Stevens’ favorite radical Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Hamza Yusuf, whom he met with less than a month after the 9/11 attacks.  Yusuf, with whom Stevens is close, was under investigation at the time for this speech two days before the attacks:  “This country is facing a terrible fate. … This country stands condemned. It stands condemned like Europe stood condemned because of what it did — and lest people forget that Europe suffered two world wars after conquering the Muslim lands.”  Unfortunately, President Bush invited him to the White House, where he was when FBI agents knocked on his California door.

At a 1995 ISNA conference, Yusuf delivered this speech:  “The Jews would have us believe that God has this bias to this little small tribe in the Middle of the Sinai desert and all the rest of humanity is just rubbish. I mean that this is the basic doctrine of the Jewish religion and that’s why it is a most racist religion."

Clearly, Cat Stevens is not your garden-variety has-been ‘70s pop singer.  Nope.  He’s your garden-variety has-been ‘70s pop singer turned Muslim turned Islamo-fascist. 

“They have hijacked my religion,” Stevens told Britain’s “The Independent,” after 9/11.  But, it sounds like he’s hijacked his religion.  Or, maybe, it has hijacked him.

Fortunately, the Department of Homeland Security is deporting Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam on a “Peace Train” back to where he slithered from.

Now, if only they would send his radical Muslim friends in America along with a one-way ticket.

He’s a rising star in the Democratic Party. He’s tight with Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm. He ranks very high in the Kerry Campaign.

No, not John Edwards.

It’s the other John–Melvin “Butch” Hollowell–who was caught, last week, soliciting a prostitute.

At the time, Hollowell was national attorney and counsel to the Kerry-Edwards campaign and had just stepped down as Chairman of the Michigan Democratic Party, a job he got through his close friendship with the Governatrix.

Hollowell claims he was just helping a woman in distress. And Michelle C. Sherman, the known-prostitute must have been in a lot of distress at the Dutch Girl Donut Shop, where he picked her up. It’s tough deciding between frosted and coconut in this low-carb world.

Sherman told police Hollowell paid her $60 to undress and perform oral sex on him — right near his own neighborhood, where his two young children live and countless others have been exposed to this “victimless“ crime (the area is commonly frequented by Donna Summer‘s “Bad Girls”). Sherman gave Hollowell’s three $20s to police. (As Summer would sing, “She works hard for the money . . . .”)

You can’t blame the guy, though. After all, the last guy Hollowell’s party elected to the Presidency taught us all that oral sex isn’t sex. And precedent is precedent.

What — no Rob Lowe video?

In addition to resigning from the Kerry campaign, Hollowell also resigned from the Michigan Civil Rights Commission, to which the Governatrix just appointed him.

But, that was a mistake. Hollowell’s “donation” to the drug-addicted prostitute enhances his dirty-swan position on the sewer that is the Michigan Civil Rights Commission.

Notable among Governatrix Granholm’s other appointments is Mohammed Abdrabboh, lawyer for terrorists, illegal immigrants, money-launderers, and even Palestinian and Lebanese accused murderers (allegedly caught cleaning the blood after they chopped their victim to death). Abdrabboh’s photo, with an American flag on his lapel, reeks of phoniness. In 2002, some of Abdrabboh’s clients were indicted for laundering over $50 million cash per year to Yemen, where it is believed it went to finance Al-Qaeda terrorist operations. He is heavily involved with the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, which openly praises Hezbollah –the terrorist group which murdered over 300 U.S. Marines and civilians in Lebanon. In the West Bank, Abdrabboh made a career of legitimizing Palestinian terrorists in his work for the United Nations and co-authored a report on the “Syrian Golan.” (Earth to Mohammed: The Golan is in Israel.)

Hollowell’s and the Michigan Democratic Party’s obsequious pandering to the Muslim and Arab votes was apparently behind the Abdrabboh appointment.  Hollowell’s new-found definition of “civil rights” seems right at home in the gutter along with Abdrabboh’s.

The circus revved up, yesterday morning, when Hollowell was arraigned in Downtown Detroit. It’s a far cry from his ritzy Palmer Woods neighborhood, but not too far from Campus Martius, the booming, multi-million dollar Detroit business development he helped prominent Democratic donor Gary Torgow put together. (It’s a small world: Torgow is Chairman of the Michigan Civil Rights Commission, from which Hollowell just resigned.)

If it’s Detroit or the Democratic Party, Butch Hollowell has his hands in everything — more things than we realized.

Then there’s Hollowell’s dutiful wife. Normally, it’s wrong to involve the innocent wife in a critique of her husband’s illegitimate behavior.

But not in this case.

The missus, Desiree Cooper, has made a career as a far-left Detroit Free Press columnist, all without disclosing in her columns that she was frequently doing the bidding of her husband, the Michigan Democratic Party Chairman.

Not a single mention of her grubby hubby‘s identity, for instance, when Cooper, this year, viciously attacked Ronald Reagan, before rigor mortis had even set in. The column–comparing Reagan economics to urination and discussing her internal debate about whether she was happy for John Hinckley‘s assassination attempt–was so offensive, it drew a tsunami of hatemail at the Detroit paper.

While the rest of the country was grieving the death of one of the most beloved, successful Presidents, Cooper was attacking — mercilessly attacking a man who wasn’t around to defend himself. Now the shoe is on the other foot. She’s likely grieving, and everyone is expected to feel sorry for the dutiful, unknowing other half.

In her column attacking President Reagan, Cooper said her mother warned her not to speak ill of the dead. I suppose, then, we still won’t be reading anything from Desiree Cooper about her husband, Butch Hollowell’s political career or her marriage.

Both of those now seem to be DOA.

What do the Olympics and Steven Spielberg have in common?

They pander to terrorists.

Spielberg was set to begin filming his latest project — a flick about the massacre of Israel’s Olympic athletes at the 1972 Munich Games by Palestinian terrorists and Israel’s operation “Vengeance” to track down and kill those terrorists. The project was based on the novel of the same name by Canadian writer George Jonas.

But, according to the New York Post, Spielberg “postponed” the production indefinitely because he didn’t want to anger and incite terrorists.

Since this sounds like what it is — sucking up to the worst scum in our world — Spielberg’s spokesman is denying it and covering it up, claiming the delay is the script pages, “which get to Steven almost every day.”

Right. While “Steven’s” sensitivity is touching, if you believe that, I have a bridge over Munich to sell you.

The New York Post got it right.

With the Olympics set to begin today in Athens, Spielberg is just the latest entertainment figure to subscribe to the political correctness that makes us ever weaker in the face of terror.

Dare expose or denounce terrorists — especially Muslim terrorists, who comprise the vast majority of the lot– and you are an apostate.

The Olympics and its International Olympic Committee (IOC)–both largely funded by millions in U.S. taxpayer dollars–are the ultimate monument to this shameful behavior.

Spielberg isn’t the only party who won’t let us remember the outrageous, preventable September 5, 1972 slaughter of 11 Israeli Olympians and coaches by Yasser Arafat’s Black September terrorists at the Munich Games. At the time, the Games didn’t stop—blaspheming the memories of the innocent, murdered athletes before rigor mortis had even set in.

The bloody Games must go on.

To date, the IOC refuses to allow any memorial to these athletes who gave their lives for this “holy” commercial extravaganza, which today might be called the BALCO Games (in honor of the steroid producer who seems to be unofficial chief sponsor).

At the 2000 Sydney Summer Games, IOC officials loudly disavowed any connection to a memorial to the slain Israeli athletes, and worse, denounced the memorial. At the 1996 Atlanta Games, the IOC refused to organize a commemorative ceremony for the slain athletes, lest the Olympics dare offend the new Palestinian Olympic Team. (Unlike the rest of the world, the IOC already recognizes “Palestine” as a state.)

“It’s not the IOC’s policy to stage special ceremonies,” IOC director general Francois Carrard told USA Today.

Not surprisingly, that’s a lie. At the 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City, the IOC spent lavishly on an exorbitant Alvin Ailey choreographed dance tribute to memorialize the late Olympic Gold Medalist Florence Griffith “Flo-Jo” Joyner—even though, unlike the murdered Israeli athletes, her death was not Olympic- or even sports-related.

In contrast to the dead Israelis who still have no Olympic memorial or any Olympic recognition whatsoever, the IOC and the rest of the world consistently worships and sacrifices at the alter of the terrorists who murdered them.

Just months after he masterminded the murder of the Israeli athletes, Arafat and his Palestinian terrorists were rewarded with an official Palestinian mission to the United Nations. Terrorism pays.

As if it’s not bad enough that there is now an official Olympic delegation for the contingent whose leader coordinated the murder of an entire delegation in 1972, the Olympics practices ethnic apartheid against the successors of that murdered delegation.

Because Arabic countries and the Palestinian contingent don’t want the “embarrassment” of playing and possibly losing to Israeli teams, the IOC forces Israel to play in regional qualifying playoffs outside its region—against European teams—for virtually every sport in which it participates.

The bloody show must go on.

The Games have a history of pandering to the worst malefactors in the international “community,” to the point of absurdity.

Today, it’s Islamic terrorists. Yesterday, it was the Nazis.

In 1936, Jewish athletes were banned from the Games in deference to the Third Reich.

American Jewish athletes, like late track star and New York sports announcer Marty Glickman and Sam Stoller, were pulled from the U.S. 400-meter relay team at the Berlin Olympics rather than embarrass Hitler if they won. A concentration camp was being built contemporaneously with the “Nazi Olympics.” Two days after the games, Capt. Wolfgang Fuerstner, a German army officer who built the Olympic village committed suicide. He was dismissed from the military for having Jewish blood, according to the Aug. 20, 1936 New York Times. American newspaper headlines, on display at Washington’s U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, showed the true “Olympic spirit”: “Olympics Leave Glow of Pride in the Reich.”

Some things never change. Today the Games show the glow of Fatah, Islamic Jihad, Al-Qaida, and the butchers of the 1972 games. American athletes are warned against “exuberant” flag-waving and celebrations if they win medals. Syria–where Jamil Al-Gashey, the only surviving terrorist of the 1972 massacre, lives freely and under government protection–has an official Olympic delegation. The bloody games must go on.

The left-wing, politically correct agenda pervades every aspect of the Games. Cuban athletes, like divers Arturo Miranda and Rio Ramirez, weren’t allowed to compete in the 2000 Atlanta Games for democratic countries (Canada and the U.S.) to which they defect to live free, because Cuba objected. Despite severe human rights abuses and slavery by Communist China, it was awarded the 2008 Summer Games, to the shameless praise of IOC members. In 2002, IOC President Jacques Rogge implored President Bush to declare a military truce with Afghanistan during the Winter Games, as if a sporting event is more important than rooting out terrorism.

Despite featuring rifles in several Olympic sports and featuring official sponsors of products such as condoms, the IOC said it will never allow an official gun or rifle sponsor. The IOC says it wants to avoid politics.

That’s a first.

John Kerry is trying to show he’s “tough on terrorism.”

But with delegates like Ismael Ahmed, it’s a tough sell.

Ahmed, a Michigan delegate to this week’s Democratic National Convention, is a long-time Democratic activist and a repeat delegate.

But the Democrats aren’t touting him to the media. In fact, the only place you’ll read about Ahmed’s delegate credentials is on Al-Jazeerah’s website.

In this first Presidential nominating convention since 9/11, Ahmed’s presence at the convention and his views are more disturbing than ever.

Ahmed is the founder and executive director of ACCESS – the Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services, based in Dearborn, Michigan.

Under Ahmed’s leadership, ACCESS paid for commercial driving lessons and attempts at hazardous material hauling certificates for two men convicted as part of the Detroit Al-Qaeda sleeper cell. Testimony at their trial revealed that the men planned to bomb the MGM Grand Casino and a host of other prominent US sites.

More chilling is that since ACCESS’ multi-million dollar budget is largely tax-funded, tax dollars likely paid for these men to get their “job training” organized by ACCESS.

When confronted with this, Ahmed made no apologies. On the contrary, he was defiant in defending his organization’s aid to the Qaeda sleepers, comparing their membership in the terrorist group to mere “political credential,” such as Democrat or Republican.

In 2002, ACCESS sponsored and funded the Second Annual Palestinian Students Divestment Conference at the University of Michigan. The conference’s keynote speaker was Sami Al-Arian, the now-indicted, alleged leader of the Islamic Jihad terrorist group. His activities were well-known at the time, including letters stating that “the merger with the brothers in Hamas” was almost complete and bragging of a successful bus-bombing in Israel. Other conference speakers included assorted anti-Semites and anti-Westerners who had previously exhorted violence against and murder of Jews.

When confronted on ACCESS’ sponsorship of this conference, Ahmed – whose agency provides tax-funded “sensitivity training”– told a reporter that it was a cultural activity for Arabic children in the area.

Ahmed apparently thinks that donating to terrorist groups is also a “cultural activity.” He opposed the Clinton Counter-terrorism package of 1996, because it prohibited donations to terrorist groups, including Hezbollah and Hamas. Ahmed told a Detroit paper of the difficulty finding Arab-Americans who did not give to these groups.

Give Ahmed credit for his honesty – for once. He has been less than truthful about his own background. For example, he has bragged in writings and to reporters of his “tours” and “hitches” in Vietnam and claimed that he is a “Vietnam Veteran.”

But, while Ahmed did serve in the U.S. Army, any time he spent in Vietnam was as a tourist – unlike his party’s likely Presidential nominee. While Ahmed was briefly in Korea, military records show that most of his military career was spent stateside at Fort Knox. “Records do not indicate veteran served in Vietnam,” wrote Scott Levins, Assistant Director for Military Records at the National Personnel Records Center.

Then there is Ahmed’s reason for founding ACCESS. The organization claims it exists to help Americans of all sorts get social service help. But in an old newspaper interview, Ahmed admits he founded ACCESS “as an advocacy group” while campaigning to persuade auto unions to divest their Israeli bond portfolios.

Since then, Ahmed has used ACCESS to shake down corporations and government, much the same way Jesse Jackson has for Operation PUSH and the Rainbow Coalition. And what a coincidence: Ismael Ahmed ran one of Jackson’s successful wins of the Michigan Democratic Primary in the 1980s. Ahmed continues to shower Jackson with accolades, including keynote speeches at ACCESS’ annual banquet. “Unfortunately,” he recently wrote, “Americans had not listened to Jessie [sic] Jackson’s election warning to ‘Stay out of the Bushes.’ ”

But, despite the dig, Democrats are not alone in pandering to Ismael Ahmed and ACCESS. In fall 2002, President Bush went out of his way to recognize ACCESS, citing it and an Americorps volunteer who worked for the agency, in a speech at a Detroit area public school. Thereafter, Bush sent then-Americorps chief, Leslie Lenkowsky, to shower ACCESS with a multi-million dollar Arab Americorps program.

While Americorps volunteers typically help build Habitat for Humanity homes for the poor and help underprivileged kids learn to read, Ismael Ahmed’s Americorps program is political. He sends volunteers to work for the Arab-American Institute, a Saudi-funded lobbying group headed by Democratic advisor James Zogby – all at taxpayer expense.

After 9/11, ACCESS campaigned against universities cooperating with federal agents to find foreign students linked to terrorism. In 2002, ACCESS was raided by federal agents in a Medicaid fraud investigation. A television report and several newspaper articles said ACCESS was involved in helping foreign Arabic women fraudulently obtain Medicaid to have their babies here in the United States.

With delegates like Ismael Ahmed, John Kerry will have a tough time showing us he’s the best guy to fight terror.

Mark Twain, once said, “There are lies, damn lies, and statistics.”

But Twain lived in the 19th Century. In the 21st Century, there are lies, damn lies, and Michael Moore “documentaries.”

Like Twain, Moore wants to be the great social commentator of our era. But, “Fahrenheit 9-11” (F911), his latest propaganda film, shows why he will forever remain in “wanna-be” status.

It’s typical Moore: lies, half-truths, far-left wackos and kooks as experts, snarky cheap shots, and just plain nonsense.

F911 starts out by recounting the tired liberal-left canard about George W. Bush “stealing” the 2000 Presidential Election. Gee, we haven’t heard that one before. And for those who actually read the paper and peruse bookstores, there’s little else new in this waste of celluloid.

Moore shows endless shots of Bush and administration officials being made up for TV appearances, montages of Bush golfing and on vacation, a shot of Bush with his dog – all accompanied by the sarcastic vocal commentary of Michael Moore. (You didn’t expect the self-important, schlubby Moore to spare us and stay off-screen, did you?)

In Moore’s world, liberal politicians never get made up or hair coiffed for TV appearances. In Moore’s world, Bill Clinton never golfed, never vacationed for months on Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard, never had a dog named “Buddy” – all while Slick Willie had the opportunity (several times) to have Osama Bin Laden handed over to him, but declined.

But that’s Moore’s world. He has learned the Costas Gavras (the famous Socialist-Communist director who produced Anti-American films) technique well. Bush and other administration “villains”–so cast by Moore–are shot from down below, to make them look even more evil.

Moore spends much time on Bin Laden family members flying out of the US when the rest of America was grounded, right after 9-11. Showing a clip of Khalil Bin Laden at the airport, a chyron on the screen cleverly reads “days after 9-11.” But, how many days? In fact, while some Bin Ladens did get to fly out early, most of the Bin Laden family flew out of America, after the rest of America could already fly. Moore says the FBI was not allowed to interview them, but in fact, the FBI was allowed to interview them and chose not to. That is disturbing, but it’s not what Moore “reported”.

The close relationship between the Bush family, including the current President, and the Saudi Royal Family is troubling. But it’s nothing new, and Moore offers no alternative. The Saudi Royals are, no doubt, despicable. They foster and fund madrasas, mosques, and clerics who preach the death of the West, Christians, and Jews. They hold telethons to fund the “martyrs” and allowed Al-Qaeda to grow. Women can’t drive, and non-Muslims are the equivalent of slaves. Saudi Ambassador Prince Bandar is slimy and dishonest.

But the precarious Saudi Royal Family is better than the alternative–the Saudi masses who hate us even more and who love Osama Bin Laden.

If Crown Prince Abdullah is deposed by its extremist population, Bin Laden is the most popular replacement. Given the large Saudi investment in our economy (upon which Moore touches) and large holdings in our banking system, a change in Saudi leadership could result in the collapse of our economy. $2 a gallon oil? That would be a pleasant memory from the past, and only rich phonies like Michael Moore would be able to afford to drive. The Saudis are the largest producers of oil, and the radical Saudi population would see to it that we go back to the horse and buggy.

That is why it’s important for Bush to remain on good terms with the sleazy country that is the home to public beheadings and 15 of the 19 hijackers. Leftists from Moore’s “Amen” crowd won’t let us drill for oil in Alaska, so we can get away from dependence upon the Saudis. Not a peep about that in F911.

And while there’s plenty of factual material to use against the Saudis, Moore fabricates on that, too. He claims that the US Secret Service’s Uniformed Division protects only the Saudi Embassy, no others. That’s just plain false. Any tourist to Washington, DC, will see plenty of Secret Service Police guarding all of the other foreign embassies which request such protection. Other than guarding the White House and some federal buildings, it’s the largest use of personnel by the Secret Service’s Uniformed Division.

Since Moore lies about little things like that, what else has he lied about in this master docu-fakery?

Then there are Moore’s Congressional “experts.” F911 features extensive interviews with two of the biggest wackos ever elected to Congress, Reps. Jim McDermott and John Conyers, both far-left Democrats. They spout off against everything from the USA Patriot Act to the War on Iraq.

But he fails to tell us that Jim McDermott was on the take from Saddam Hussein. McDermott was one of three Congressmen who went on Saddam’s propaganda tour of Iraq in Fall 2002. The trip was funded by Life for Relief and Development (LRD), a “charity” which laundered money to terrorist group Hamas’ Jordanian operation. LRD is funded in part by Shakir Al-Khafaji, a man who did about $70 million in business with Saddam through his Falcon Trading Group company (based in South Africa). LRD’s Iraqi offices were raided by US troops last week, and the Detroit-area “charity” is suspected of funding uprisings, such as the one in Fallujah. Its officials bragged of doing so at a recent private US fundraiser.

Mr. Alkhafaji, one of two Americans named in Iraqi newspapers as a participant in Saddam’s “Oil for Food” scam, gave Congressman McDermott $5,000 in October 2002 for McDermott’s legal defense fund in a lawsuit against him. He’s not biased about Iraq, right?!

Then there’s Conyers. He’s the ranking Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee. Heaven help us if the Democrats retake the House majority, and he becomes Chairman of the Judiciary Committee. The far-left Conyers never met a terrorist he didn’t like.

Take the June 13 Muslim American Society fundraising dinner for Islamic Relief, a charity with links to the Muslim Brotherhood. Conyers and his wife were the guests of honor. They watched and clapped as the Sanabel Al-Quds “dancing” troop from Milwaukee—featuring boys as young as seven—sang in Arabic of martyrdom and jihad for Allah and Palestine. They didn’t need to understand Arabic, as the young boys used a rifle to simulate killing and pistol-whipping, simulated throat-slittings and beheadings, and dishonored the American flag.

The War in Iraq is a major focal point of the film. Moore shamelessly dishonors our brave soldiers. He makes fun of soldier’s musical choices in Iraq (“The Roof is on Fire”) and depicts multiple wounded and dead Iraqis and soldiers raiding a home in Iraq searching for a militant. That’s what happens in war. People get wounded and killed. Moore shows the militant’s female relatives crying. “He’s a college student,” they cry out in Arabic. College students would never be terrorists, would they? Tell that to the Israelis, where the “colleges,” such as Bir Zeit University, are the breeding grounds for terrorists.

Very telling is the presence of the Al-Jazeera microphone in one segment of a women crying, “Allah Hu Akbar” (Allah is Great). Moore apparently thinks the sympathetic Terrorist News Network (Al-Jazeera) is the epitome of accurate news reporting.

Other BS in the Moore film:

• He shows Britney Spears saying she supports the President on Iraq. As if there weren’t a host of brain-dead bimbo celebs, (Madonna, Sean Penn, Russell Simmons, Lenny Kravitz, Susan Sarandon, The Dixie Chicks, etc.), spouting off on the other side.

• Moore repeatedly features Sam Kubba, of the American-Iraqi Chamber of Commerce, denouncing the War in Iraq as money-driven. But Kubba is a fringe character. Most Iraqi-Americans and their prominent leaders, such as Nabil Roumayah of the Detroit-based Iraqi Democratic Union, supported the war, whether they were Chaldeans (Christian Iraqis) or Shias.

• In very selectively edited clips, Moore poses the absurd notion that the main news anchors—Peter Jennings, Dan Rather, and Ted Koppel—wholeheartedly support Bush and the War in Iraq. Jennings, Rather, and Koppel supporting the War and Bush? Puh-leeze! Has Moore forgotten the hour-long Saddam softball interview Rather did just prior to the war, Jennings’ condescending coverage and Koppel’s critical “Nightline” episodes every step of the way?

• Moore exploits the grief of Lila Lipscomb, the mother of a soldier who died in Iraq. She denounces Bush and the War. But there are many mothers and relatives of US soldiers, alive and dead, who served there who don’t agree with her. Don’t look for them in this agit-prop “film.”

• Moore, as many misinformed “journalists do, makes light of the claimed Bush connection between Saddam and Al-Qaeda. But what about the meeting between hijacker Mohammed Atta and Iraqi Intelligence agents in the Czech Republic before 9-11? What about the Iraqi training camp in Salman Pak where Al-Qaeda used abandoned planes to train to hijack them? What about Ramzi Youssef, the Iraqi Secret Service agent and mastermind of the 1993 WTC bombing, who is the nephew of 9-11 Al-Qaeda mastermind, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed? What about Iraqi Intelligence and Secret Police (Mukhabarat) at a Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Al-Qaeda terror planning convention? These are just some connections, and there are others in “The Connection,” by Stephen Hayes, that you won’t see in Moore’s silver screen screed.

Not just the film–but the audience that populated the promotional screening I attended–looked like it came out of far-stage-left of Democratic Party central casting.

Those surrounding me were literally the “Great Unwashed.” They smelled as if they hadn’t taken a shower in weeks, not because they couldn’t afford running water, but because it’s cool to be dirty and nasty in the far-left. Not for any good reason, but just because they can. With their awful stench wafting universal, they want to make the rest of us as miserable and skanky as the Hate-America crowd.

It’s emblematic of the filmmaker and his fake-umentary. Michael Moore and “Fahrenheit 9-11” stink.
