Say a Prayer for E.D. Hill

By Debbie Schlussel

If you’re a long-time viewer of PAWNN (the Prince AlWaleed News Network) a/k/a FOX News, you are familiar with the name E.D. Hill, the former anchor of “Fox and Friends.”

edhill

Hill was one of the few on air personalities on FOX News who actually knew her stuff (the other, in my view, is David Asman) . . . and that’s probably why they did not renew her contract.  She was smart not only about domestic issues, but about Islamic terrorism, the Middle East, and Israel.  And she got it right.  The conservative Democrat from Texas wasn’t one of those bimbos and airheaded men, of which FOX News has a huge on-air stable, who constantly qualified her comments with “most Muslims are moderate” and other similar boilerplate disclaimer BS.  I believe that’s another reason why she was let go.  After all this is the network that is nearly 6% owned by pro-terrorist Saudi Prince AlWaleed Bin Talal Al-Saud.

Hill came under attack when she referred to a fist-bump by Barack Obama as a “terrorist fist jab,” but it was, in fact, invented by the Black Panthers (definitely a terrorist group in my mind).  She is also the author of, “I’m Not Your Friend, I’m Your Parent: Helping Your Children Set the Boundaries They Need…and Really Want.”

Well, now, E.D. Hill is about to undergo a preventative double mastectomy, since both her mother and grandmother are breast cancer survivors.  Her sister also had the same procedure.  The details and background of her decision are here.  For any woman, this is obviously a major and life changing decision on many levels.  She will be on ABC’s annoying “The View” several times to discuss her progress.  But, frankly, she should be the conservative at the table instead of the mousy airhead and faux-conservative, Elisabeth Hasselbeck.  But it would kill them to actually have a real conservative with an actual brain.

Say a prayer for E.D., as I will.  And I hope she’s prominently back on the air somewhere soon. Thanks to reader Bob for the tip.

I have missed E.D.Hill on Fox – she was serious about her job and was correct on her stance against the invasion of our country by those that hate us and wish to see us obliterated. E.D. you will be in my prayers as you undergo this surgery. I, too, had breast cancer a year ago – only had to have a lumpectomy but it is scary. God bless you!!

God bless you ED…wish you the best. REALLY miss you on Fox and Friends. I love your value’s—and your darn good looks! LOL My kind of girl!

I have greatly missed E.D. Hill on Fox and Friends. E.D. actually appeared to be the fair and balanced anchor on the show. She always looked at both sides of a story, not just the one side. I felt she opened my thinking by her example. She is a smart and bold woman. She is the one woman I feel is a great role model for other women. I have been very inspired by her, her confidence, her knowledge, and professionalism. I agree, I wish she was on The View, but those ladies wouldn’t be able to handle her and her knowledge of real life events. I actually tried to attend a Women’s Seminar in Austin, TX., strictly because she was supposed to be there. She is an inspiration, and now more than ever with her making this decision for a double mastectomy.

I like E. D. Hill.
I miss E. D. Hill on Fox.
But, you don’t have to trash everyone else on Fox and The View to make your point about E.D.
You are a typical mal-mouth.

E.D. I wish you well and I miss you on Fox

bob ouellette on February 25, 2011 at 3:04 pm

E.D. Congratulations on moving on to a better career. Also, good choice on the medical issue. My wife did the same and is very happy with the outcome.

David in Alabackwards on February 25, 2011 at 3:43 pm

I have really missed E.D. and think she was one of the very smartest co-anchors at Fox. I was not aware of the dust-up over political correctness, but am appalled that Fox would bow to the pressures of those unwilling to accept the truth.

My regrets that I am unable to follow E.D. to CNN regardless of their expressed intent to report on all of the news, even that which doesn’t necessarily meet the approval of their critics. While I trust E.D. immensely, I do not trust CNN and believe the news is too important to overlook bias.

G O D Bless you, E.D. and best wishes to you!!

I wish E.D.all the best………..THE ASSHOLE WHO WROTE THE STORY…THAT’S A DIFFERENT MATTER….CNN AND THEIR ILK IS TOTALLY OWNED BY GEORGE SOROS…WELL KNOWN COCKSUCKER….YOU KNOW, OBAMAS BOSS.

anthony michaels on February 25, 2011 at 4:25 pm

So if you are a female on FOXnews, you are a bimbo, and the men are airheads… just because their opinions may be different than yours. The hate from the left has really grown tiresome. Your praise ED Hill is watered down considering your level of hate.

David on February 26, 2011 at 11:57 am

“You’re praise E.D. Hill is watered down considering your level of hate.”

How is Debbie being “hateful” when she wrote in this article, “Say a Prayer for E.D. Hill”, how is that haterd stupid? You can’t answer the question, because Ms. Schlussel is showing respect for Ms. Hill, you on the other hand are just using stupid and dopey “knee-jerk” analogy.

Yes. Fox Porn and Fox Propaganda. Every morning, Earl, there in Geeorgia tunes-in for the Mrs. America up-skirt and his daily dose of misinformation as he pays for the subsidies to Koch’s oil billions.

Good Luck with your operation.

Bob on March 4, 2011 at 1:56 pm

e d, first of all may God be with you. Good luck. I am shocked that you are a conservative. I watched you every morning when you were on fox and you came off as a liberal. i assume you don’t feel to good about fox however; i do feel it is the only place on tv period that you will hear the truth. i disagree that fox is owned by some arab. i do however; strongly agree that osama hussein obama is a terrorist and his agenda is to destroy America and in his pea brain he thinks he will become our forever leader. some one will take him out before that ever happens or at least i hope so. we the tea partiers are taking our country back. hope you feel the same.

chartman on March 4, 2011 at 3:12 pm

E D, I was wondering just today where you’ve been and now I know. Fox is crazy to let you get away. I always liked your style of reporting. Best of luck with the operation and I’ll be praying for you. Dennis Fla.

Luv Gretchen but miss you E D. Best wishes for good health.

I missed out on extra sleep just to see you and the guys. I am so sorry you arent there I do not watch as much any more it not the same sorry but it just not. ED stay well and God Bless you , hubby and children and please please do not go to work for CNN.

irene on March 13, 2011 at 2:52 pm

Hope all goes well with your surgery, E.D. Like most of the others who commented above, I have missed seeing you every day on Fox. I so enjoyed your genuine warmth, honest commentary, natural inquisitiveness, and plain-English style of reporting. I wasn’t sure where you had gone until just recently. Unlike most of the lefters or righters above, however, I will watch you on CNN. I’m sure you will light up that network as much as you did Fox. They made a BIG mistake letting you go. The new cheesecakers can’t hold a candle to you (or Greta). I find it very hard to take seriously any journalist sporting cleavage to the navel, long shiny legs in stiletto heels, and beauty pageant make-up. I thought we’d come a long way, Baby, a long time ago, but obviously we haven’t. Oh, well. In any event, my best to you once again. You will be in my prayers. P.S.: I’m a 27-year breast cancer survivor and can fully appreciate the dilemma you must have gone through in making your decision to have surgery.

E.D.,
I am a “TRUE” Democrat. Southern, Black, Muslim, Politically active family, son of democratic politician, etc…

You are the truth.

You were the only voice of reason on FNN and I appreciated the balance you brought to the set. I hope that you will push to be a member of the view! You will help to balance Joy and Whoopi…. They tend to forget about the concept of capitalism and can be a little “too” left leaning for ME.

May god bless you and your entire family.

I never heard of you Debbie, but I like what I read on your bio. I will pray for E.D. Hill and ask others to do so as well.

I just read some of your articles Debbie. You exude way too much rancor, which is a form of cancer, so I’ll pray for you to.

Patrick on March 23, 2011 at 10:37 pm

Finally found out what happened to you on Fox. Really miss you in the AM & i was under the impression that you got canned when you became a brunet. You are in my prayers & wish you the very best.

Eddie Cassar on March 24, 2011 at 4:42 pm

We miss you on Fox and Friends, ED. I knew you had moved to another program, but never knew what had happened to you. God bless you and yours.

We loved you on Fox, E.D.; and our prayers are with you.

“ED ” !!!! Was watching CNN.( I’m a FOX fan)…and seen ED Hill around 9pm with that Spitzer guy…..poor ED. Miss you at Fox !!!! This Debbie Woman will never be ED HILL, really does not know what F___ she is talking about….yeah FOX defends the Moslems…..give me a break, what an IDIOT !!!
I’m going to email FOX and let them know how popular she is….I really don’t care for Gretchen Carlson….I caught her feeling uncomfortable , shifting her eyes while Doocey and Brian were bashing an Administration….I even emailed her on the spot….she did email me back and denied….I told her to review the tape. I’d love ED’s assertiveness like Megan Kelly !!! What a pair!!!

Dear E.D. May GOD bless you during your trying time I drive to San Antonio often an i pass the Dripping Springs sign I always think of you .

I haven’t watched Fox for years but I do remember ED Hill. I was amazed to see her on CNN. Apparently she knows something about journalism. I thought that most of the people on Fox were actor readers!

Robert Ebert on July 7, 2011 at 4:52 pm

I really enjoyed E.D. when she co-hosted Fox & Friends. I have often wondered what became of her. I can’t say I agree with her decision but certainly I will keep her in my prayers. I can’t help but pray, think again and again before doing something so radical.
Blessings, Anita

Hope everything is well with E.D. I love her tv appearances. She filled in for Joy Behar on HLN the other night and it was so great to see and hear E.d. She also has great parenting skills.

Wish someone would give her her own TV show again.

Anita Kroha on August 24, 2011 at 5:24 pm

Lou, Debbie is NOT a left wing apparachick lout, she’s as conservative as they come, hell, she’s been a conservative for all of her lifetime and she was bought up in household that’s political thinking was very conservative! DS is a middle-of-the-road conservative who’s very indpendent and is a free-thinker. Yes she’s a registered Republican, but she’s been disgusted and fed-up with the GOP with their idiocy and stupidity, etc. So once again Lou, you are so blinded into stupid partisanship, your no different than the Democrat hacks in the MSM who carries buckets of water for the Obama administration!

First may I say that Gretchen Carlson is a sweet and well mannered Fox contributor. Having said that…..what Fox and Friends is missing is the ballsy, tell it like it is, take no BS from her male cohorts contributor. I love Steve and Brian….the banter and jabbing, in addition to news reporting, they were my favorite morning triumvirates.

Stay well ED and know that you are missed.

Linda J Browne on October 29, 2011 at 4:10 pm

I miss you so much ED,I started watching FNC when I was surfing channels and I heard that contagious laughter,I didn t care what or who FNC was at the time, but I looked forward to seeing you every day,I guess I was and still am your fan, best wishes, utmost respect and may God bless you always .

Juan on December 8, 2011 at 10:05 pm

E.D.Hill is one of those TV personalities you don’t forget.I’ve often wondered what happened to her. I enjoy the commentary of most on the Fox personalities , but E.D. was the best. E.D. please come back, FNC is the only news and commentary TV I can watch.
