HILARIOUS VIDEO: “Sesame Street” Debuts in Afghanistan

By Debbie Schlussel

“Maybe This Will Make Muslims Like Us Better,” Futile Attempt #44,898,723.

I’ve written before (here and here) about the idiocy of spending gazillions of U.S. tax dollars to develop and bring “Sesame Street” to various Muslim countries.  It doesn’t make their kids grow up to hate us any less, or do anything to benefit America.  Pakistani “Sesame Street” debuted in April.  Have you seen a decrease in American soldiers being killed in Afghanistan with the help of the Pakis?  Nope.  Now, the TV show comes to Afghanistan, where it won’t save a single American soldier’s life or stop a young jihadi from trying to blow our men up.  Imagine if the “Sesame Street” money (funded by the State Department and the U.S. Embassy in Kabul) were to go to something worthwhile in America instead.  Where’s “The Count” when you need him?  Here’s Jimmy Kimmel’s version of Afghani “Sesame Street.”  He was too soft on them, but it’s still funny.

Sayed al Qutb, the leading theorist of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, visited the US in the 1940s and spent time in Greeley, Colorado. America back then was a more strait-laced and conservative country than it is today. It still didn’t change his visceral hate of America. There’s no good reason to believe Muslim attitudes will be changed in the least if they get to see the kinder and gentler side of American life. In their eyes, we are kuffar – infidels – and nothing we do or say will change how they see us and public relations in the Muslim World to show America in a good light is just a waste of money. Like the good dhimmis we are, we appear to learn nothing from failure.

Just sayin’!

You are so right, NormanF. Hating the American “infidels” is as much a part of their culture as grandma and apple pie *used to be* a part of ours(before grandma became a “cougar”)

Are you serious? Are you freaking seirous!? What the hell is there in doing this for a country who’s wet dream is seeing us blown to bits with a nuclear bomb!?

The first episode will probably feature Bert and Ernie being hanged for their perceived homosexuality…

Will Sesame Street Afghan cut down on the Bacha Bazi-ness going on there?

Should I hold my breath until next December the the world will end?

Reminds me of Karen Hughes’ silly campaigns a few years ago.

Norman,

You are right. There is no way to change the mind of a Moslem who has been imbued with hate to any other non-Moslem, They are fed hate, imbued with hate steeprd in hate and they know nothing but hate as a Sunnah. They even hate any one of them who develops some sense of rationality or peacefullness towards others. Evidence???? Just see how Sunnis hate Shiites, Ahmadeyyahs and Bahaaees. You know they consider Bahaaees Kafirs in Iran and if they could they would execute them all.
Norman brother, “I am an Eastern orthodox Catholic but I consider every one is a brother” the only way to have peace on earth is to get rid of Islam totally.

Gamal R. Scharoubim on December 3, 2011 at 9:27 am

The Ahmadiyyahs and Bahais are post-Islamic religions, which is why they so savagely persecuted. Their existence contradicts the orthodox Islamic understanding there would be no more religions in the world after Islam so this is a theological problem for the clerics because if Islam is the final revelation of Allah, why do new faiths now exist?

NormanF on December 3, 2011 at 8:02 pm

An even bigger question is, how many Afghans even own a television set? Will people gather in large halls in order to watch this thing? If they do, they would be making themselves a ripe target for a suicide bomber or mass kidnapping. This is feel good nonsense that will at most be watched by the children of Afghanistan’s elite. The only people who will be rewarded for such tripe are the people who produce such programming.

Maybe one episode could feature Miss Piggy’s clitoridectomy. The producers would have to get dhimmi puppets to act as the medical personnel so that the moooslim puppets won’t defile themselves.

CornCoLeo on December 3, 2011 at 10:57 pm

Sorry. Forgot that Miss Piggy is not a Sesame Street character. Muppets – Sesame Street – they seem the same to me anyway.

CornCoLeo on December 3, 2011 at 11:04 pm

Right back @ NormanF & Gamal:

According to certain passages in the Qur’an, there was no religion before Islam, either.

I may be wrong, but I haven’t slept much. Damn that coffee!

The Reverend Jacques on December 4, 2011 at 5:03 am

You are all missing another part of the picture. Sesame Street is owned by Disney, which owns ABC, which has a news division. By giving tax money to Disney, which gives orders to its news division, the Obama administration is onced again buying off the press.

At least Papa Joe Kennedy used his own money to buy the press.

Are they going to have an episode where Ernie gets raped by an imam or they make bert dress up as a woman before he goes down on the jihadi fighter of the month?
