EXCLUSIVE: ICE Gives Work Permits to 27 Illegal Aliens in Seattle Raid; ICE Cancels Customs Freight Inspection b/c They “Might Find Illegal Aliens”; Head Agent: “Don’t Tell Debbie Schlussel”

By Debbie Schlussel
This is really an outrage. But it’s the new world of “immigration (non)enforcement” in the age of Obama.
Remember the 27 illegal aliens that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested in an employer raid in Bellingham, Washington near Seattle? Remember how they were released to freedom and how Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Reno, er . . . Napolitano a/k/a “The Lesbionic Woman” said that she would investigate the ICE agents for doing their jobs? As I reported, Seattle ICE Special Agent in Charge Leigh H. Winchell had to take it upon himself and apologize for her actions and pat his agents on the back over this absurdity.
Well, it gets worse. ICE agents tell me that Citizenship and Immigration Services has issued Employment Authorization Cards to the 27 aliens arrested in Seattle. Agents tell me that,

This was done so those aliens can stay in country and file lawsuits against the Seattle ICE agents!

Yup, not only is America under attack from within. It’s under attack from its own government. Who cares if Barack Obama allowed the Navy to save a ship captain after much “mulling it over,” when he’s allowing illegal aliens to stay here, get work permits, and give them the ability to sue our dedicated, patriotic law enforcement authorities for doing their jobs?
Incredible. But, actually, nothing is incredible in the Obama era. Anything goes.
But, wait, there’s more. ICE agents also tell me that an ICE investigation into Customs inspections of freight was shut down by ICE headquarters because the ICE agents might find illegal aliens and arrest them. And we can’t have that. ICE agents were told to be sure that this info didn’t end up leaked to my site.

As the 27 illegal aliens got work authorization in Washington State, a couple of ICE agents in New Orleans, including [DS: name redacted] one of the best at Customs Investigations, put together an operation with Customs and Border Protection to inspect “In-Bond” Warehouses and freight yards. This was for the explicit purpose of searching for Customs violations. These types of searches usually bring forth good seizures and penalties. But ICE HQ shut the operation down because, “the investigating agents might encounter illegal aliens. Since we are getting away from worksite investigations, we don’t want to risk that.” . . .
Moreover, after that happened, Special Agent in Charge Mike Holt warned the New Orleans office agents to keep that information within the office because he did not want it getting leaked and ending up on Debbie Schlussel’s blog.

Yup, why enforce immigration law and arrest illegal aliens when the name of your agency is Immigration and Customs Enforcement? I mean, why make sense and have logic govern your actions, not to mention the laws of the United States your agency is tasked with enforcing?
I used to refer to ICE as “LICE,” because it was more like Latino Immigration and Customs Enforcement, while Muslims needn’t worry. But now I think it should just be called “NICE“–Non-Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The “I” in ICE simply doesn’t matter to the “leadership” of this agency and its uber-fuhrer, Napolitano, any more.
By the way, if you’re thinking of making the career mistake of your life and joining this law enforcement agency under attack from within, I’d suggest getting a good lawyer and taking out an iron-clad umbrella policy covering professional conduct.

My question is were these illegals Mexican or Muslim? Most of the illegals in Washington State are Mexican because of the agriculture there, but in Bellingham I’m more inclined to believe they were Muslim. There’s not an agriculture outlet there for Mexicans to work at. Bellingham has some meat packing plants, Dairy farms, and some bulb outlets. Bellingham is also the home of the Navy. Bellingham, Silverdale, and Everett. It’s northwest of Seattle.
My other point is so if we are going to have an open border policy in this country then why as an American citizen should I have to pay taxes. My tax money is being used for non citizens. What does my citizenship entitle me too? The right to pay for everyone else apparently.

Debbie, do you know any Senator or congressional Representative who’s not afraid to take DHS Sec. Napolitano to tasks about this unacceptable issue? Ex-DHS Sec. Chertoff got grilled in the Congressional committees before, right?

[Yup, why enforce immigration law and arrest illegal aliens when the name of your agency is Immigration and Customs Enforcement?]
This line says so much about what is so wrong. No comment is necessary.

We have no immigration policy in this country. Janet Napolitano is at least honest where her predecessor Michael Chertoff postured. Under Chertoff, it was “arrest, catch and release.” Under Napolitano, its “no arrest, recognizance and reward.” Now we do we have a policy – let’s stop pretending America is a sovereign country. Napolitano has at least dispensed with the hypocrisy America doesn’t want illegals here. It needs them and the country had better get used to ICE being NICE to those who trample onto our soil uninvited and break our laws.

Uh-oh! Looks like EVS’ buddy has been outed. Time for EVS and Priceless to get on here and spin up the propaganda machine!!! LOL!

Wow. Wonder if this has gotten to the west coast too or if only east coasters are not allowed to FI possible illegals at bonded warehouses.

Classic, the ICE officers are worried about your blog. Right On. Your voice is being heard. J.NO is dismantling the office from within. Obviously you are right to call it LICE or possibly MICE for Muslims. I guess KING HUSSEIN COBRAMA is trying his hardest to get the economy going because he can’t have more illegals self-deport in this bad economy. After COBRAMA’S 8 years there will be no immigration enforcement as if there ever was. So who is left to fight J.NO and COBRAMA on the immigration issue? Possibly the only bad ass left in office Sheriff Joe.

This is a perfect example of why Customs Agents wanted no part of immigration. Immigration laws have been and continue to be used as a political tool.

Immigration and Customs Entertainment coming to a neighborhood near you.

The number one reason enforcement of the Immigration laws never work is that we haven’t had a president or someone in charge of INS/ICE that had a spine and a set of balls!

California_Irishman on April 15, 2009 at 1:12 am

There has to be a way to charge these assholes for malfeasance of office which the last time I checked was a felony.
Who made her king for day to repeal all the immigration laws in the USA.

I guess that means that my Filipina girlfriend needn’t bother spending 18 months and $1,000.oo getting a visa to come to The States. I’ll just get her a ticket to Canada and have her cross at Sumas… Wearing a full berkha.

We must insist our legislators include “or else” clauses for enforcers as well as violators. All citizens, regardless of what elected or appointed office they may hold, must be required to uphold the laws, or face punishment. If laws don’t apply equally, to everyone, then the rule of law is gone. Why should I have to obey if they can get away with outright bribery, fraud and malfeasance?

There is no penalty for people like Napolitano, or pro-alien Congresscritters, or Obama. Or Mayors of sanctuary cities, Governors of sanctuary states, etc. Police protect other officers who brutalize citizens, and they get away with it. Then they all wonder why people don’t trust them anymore. Who watches the watchers? Who punishes them when they willfully violate the laws? Citizens must have a mechanism of holding these people accountable, and it better have large, sharp teeth. Citizens Grand Jury, anyone?
