Well, it’s official. The United Kingdom’s Southern Water Company has given in on the anti-Semitic boycott against Israel. A British couple objected to a water meter made in Israel. But instead of the water company saying, “tough luck!,” it gave in and replaced their water meter with one not made in Israel. The anti-Israel boycott movement has, of course, claimed this as a victory, and, sadly, that’s correct, since now plenty of other Israel-haters will object and hurt the Israeli water meter reader maker. It costs up to 200 Pounds ($300 US) to change a single water meter, a cost borne by the water customer, so I doubt there will be a lot of people who do it. Still, it shows the evil and anti-Semitic nature of this couple that they are willing to spend the money to avoid using “Jew products,” which is exactly what this is about.
Jew-Hating Brit Dhimmis Edmond (on porch) & Caroline O’Reilly (2nd from left, wearing keffiyeh) Pay $300 to Remove Israeli-Made Water Meter
A water company has replaced an Israeli-built meter in the home of a customer who objected to the ‘repression of Palestine’. Caroline and Edmond O’Reilly asked Southern Water to replace the device because the manufacturers, Arad Technologies, are accused of ‘profiteering’ in the West Bank. The company has now agreed to install a second-hand appliance built by a different manufacturer.
Pro-Palestinian campaigners claim the decision paves the thousands of other customers to object to the meters on ethical grounds. . . . Mrs. O’Reilly said her objection was based on the Israeli Government’s alleged incursions on to Palestinian land and Arad’s connections with the government. She said: ‘Since 2000 the Israelis have systematically destroyed the Palestinian water supply infrastructure and Arad supplies the Israeli government. ‘Should we turn a blind eye, we collude in supporting a system that is systematically discriminating against people who are powerless against a state that seems to be attempting to drive Palestinians out of Palestine.’
Blah, blah, blah, allah, allah, allah. What Palestine? What about the Palestinians driving Jews out of Israel and constantly forcing Israel to give up more land? She supports that in spades, clearly. And Muslims laugh at dumb dhimmis like her, the first ones they kill when they take over.
She hasn’t started a trend, though.
Southern Water said this was the first case of its kind since 2010 and that their decision did not reflect a blanket policy. A spokesman for the company said: ‘A conclusion should not be drawn that this facility will be offered as an option to all customers. ‘Every customer’s complaint will be viewed on an individual basis so that appropriate decisions can be made.
‘I stress that in three years we have received only about a dozen such requests from nearly 300,000 meter installations and only one request has been agreed. ‘In one customer’s case we have installed a second-hand conventional meter which was removed from another property in our area which now has the improved Arad meters.’
While these old British Jew-haters may have gotten their way (at great expense to themselves) on the water meter, good luck putting Israel–and its superior products and technologies–out of business.
That Was Then . . .
This Is Now . . .
