“District 9″: Alien “Prawns” Acting Like Palestinians

By Debbie Schlussel

I went to a screening of “District 9,” last week.  The movie–about giant aliens who come to South Africa–was pretty decent, and I’m surprised they saved it for an August release, since August is usually the cemetery for bad movies.  This one was much better than I expected and far better than a typical August movie (though I didn’t agree with its message).  I like the sci-fi, aliens from outer space movies, like this one.

My full review will be posted on Friday.  But, for now, I’ll say this:  it’s smartly shot in a documentary style, and the typical liberal activist and government fawning over the violent alien “prawns” and much else in the movie reminded me of the Palestinians and our uber-tolerance of them.

Like I said, my full review will be posted on Friday, but, in the meantime, here’s the trailer:

I thought the voice over was describing Muzzies until the picture appeared.

Y’know, what? I’d like to THANK Nadia fan.

Because, with your logic, you have just excused me from slavery. I would’ve thought Obama’s election would’ve gone a long way toward that end, but your argument is the topper. THANKS!

Also, I–as have all Christians–have been pardoned from the Crusades and the Spanish Inquisition! I haven’t followed your posts long enough to know your position on these events, but it is now irrelevant. IT’S NOT MY PROBLEM!! Ergo, whatever problem you have with Christians is based on your own prejudice, and not a campaign of violence waged against you in your lifetime (like, say, a jihad. AHEM).

Finally…I used to hate how people bring politics into everything…until I met people who make the media. And THEY…bring politics…into everything. A story meeting, an afternoon seminar, a lunch meeting—everything. I wish I was exaggerating.

The Razor on August 12, 2009 at 2:10 pm

God is NO FOOL. Judgment is coming on those responsible for the Crusades and the Inquisitions (convert at the point of a sword – sounds a lot like Muzzies). No one gets away with anything. God has a very good memory. God being just, punishment will come on those earning it (just rewards).

REPOST, due to Debbie “Deletorah” Schlussel
(hey, it even contains the word “Torah”!)

Debbie manages to take “anything” and create a reference to Islam and Muslims in a deragatory way.

It also reminds me of “uber-tolerance” for Jews, after all everyone feels “guilty” for the Holocaust. But how can you feel guilty even if you’re GERMAN if you’re born after 1945? You can’t feel guilty for crimes commited by your ancestors.

The result of this uber-tolerance is, that Jews can do whatever they like, kill whoever they like and NO ONE dares to criticize or oppose them, since they’re the “victims” of Holocaust.

I’m not a fan of Hitler, and his holocaust was a shame to history, but Debbie’s hate-speech is like Goebbles. He made Jews responsible for everything bad, Debbie does the same to Muslims. Even a movie is used for this purpose, how low.

(@DS: I told you i had a backup)

Nadia_fan on August 12, 2009 at 3:11 pm

Sounds about right to me. Muslims are not welcome here, and to a large and accurate account they are not human(that is posessing anything related to being connected to humanity.) Everything connected to their religion is baqsed is death, and violence. They havn’t contributed anything to the advancement of humanity. They are simply a plague upon creation.

    wolf2012 on August 12, 2009 at 3:45 pm

    “…they are not human…”

I came to this conclusion myself. I watch the beheadings, the stonings, honor killings, child rape, the acid injuries, and I ask myself, “How can a person inflict such pain and harm on another human?” At this point, I realized I was assuming “facts not in evidence”, that muzzies are savages and barbarians taking the form of a human and all other similarities to humanity end at that point.

I watched the 12 year old boy proudly behead a man, it took several minutes and was especially grusome. Killer children? What kind of mother would want that for her child?

Only a savage could engage in this activity.

    “…they are not human…”
    “…they are not human…”
    “…they are not human…”

    goldenmike4393 on August 12, 2009 at 6:13 pm

This movie is based on a short film about apartheid in South Africa. It has nothing to do with whats going on in Israel.
And stop calling them muzzies, you do remember the crusades, the inquisition? Every religion has people like this. Dont forget Hitler was a christian.

nakruh on August 12, 2009 at 10:55 pm

Hitler was anything but a Christian. Read his book, he hated
Christianity almost as much as he hated the Jews, blamed Christians for ending paganism in Germany and sought to bring the old pagan beliefs back. He was into the occult, big time.

Daniel on August 13, 2009 at 9:59 am

Hey wolf, about your saying they havent contributed to the advancement of humanity. You can thank Islam for advances in astronomy, medicine, chemistry, mathematics (the father of algebra was a Muslim), natural science, even physics. A lot of this was a round the time Christians were too busy going after anything that offended the church.

“…You can thank Islam for advances in…” (no specifics provided, just empty claims)

    ***Thanks for the laugh.
***Let’s face it together: MUZZIES CAN’T BUILD A BICYCLE.
***Here’s something for you to consider:

Given that Jews comprise a mere 1/4 of 1% (13 million) of the world’s population (6 billion) and that 99% of the world is non-Jewish, the following list of accomplishments by Jews is quite impressive.

Of the 660 Nobel prizes from 1901-1990, 160 have been won by Jews. Jews have won more Nobel prizes than any other ethnicity. They have won 40 times more than should be expected of them based upon population statistics.

    Great Thinkers
•Albert Einstein, the most famous scientist of the 20th century, proposed a groundbreaking theory of relativity (including his famous equation e=mc²). Einstein’s work laid the foundation for much of modern physics and had a profound impact on everything from quantum theory to nuclear power and the atom bomb (saved US in WWII).
•Karl Marx, German philosopher, economist, and revolutionary, wrote The Communist Manifesto and Das Kapital, with the help of Friedrich Engels. These works greatly influenced modern socialism and all social sciences. Marx is considered one of the founders of economic history and sociology.
•Dr. Sigmund Freud, an Austrian physician, was the founder of psychoanalysis and father of psychiatry. He theorized that the symptoms of hysterical patients represent forgotten and unresolved infantile psychosexual conflicts. His psychoanalytic theories profoundly influenced 20th-century thought.
    Science and Medicine
•Dr. Jonas Salk created the first Polio Vaccine.
•Dr. Abraham Waksman coined the term antibiotics.
•Casmir Funk, a Polish Jew, pioneered a new field of medical research and coined the word “vitamins.”
•Dr. Simon Baruch performed the first successful operation for appendicitis
•Dr. Paul “magic bullet” Ehrlich won the Nobel Prize in 1908 for curing syphilis.
•Dr. Abraham Jacobi is considered America’s father of pediatrics.
•Dr. Albert Sabin developed the first oral polio vaccine.
    Business and Finance
Haym Solomon (who financed the Revolutionary War for George Washington. ) and Isaac Moses are responsible for creating the first modern-banking institutions.
•Jews created the first department stores: The Altmans, Gimbels, Kaufmanns, Lazaruses, Magnins, Mays, and Strausses became leaders of major department stores.
•Julius Rosenwald revolutionized the way Americans purchased goods by improving Sears Roebuck’s mail order merchandising.
•Hart, Schaffner, Marx, Kuppenheimer and Levi Strauss became household names in mens’ clothing.
•Isadore & Nathan Straus – “Abraham & Straus,” eventually became sole owners of Macy’s, the world’s largest department store, in 1896.
•The fortunes of English-Jewish financiers such as Isaac Goldsmid, Nathan Rothschild, David Salomons, and Moses Montefiore helped England become an empire.
•Armand Hammer (Arm & Hammer) was a physician and businessman who originated the largest trade between the U.S. and Russia.
•Louis Santanel was the financier who provided the funds for Columbus’ voyage to America.
•Levi Strauss invented durable pants first used by Forty-niners during the Gold Rush. These “wonderful pants of Levi’s” were made of a heavy blue denim material called “genes” in France. The pants he created, called levis or jeans, have become an emblem of the American West and an emissary of the Western lifestyle — egalitarian, utilitarian, independent — around the world.
    Entertainment Industry
•Samuel L. Goldwyn & Louis B. Mayer (MGM) produced the first full-length sound picture, “The Jazz Singer.”
•European Jews are the founding fathers of all the Hollywood Studios.
•Adolph Zukor built the first theater used solely to show motion pictures.

•In 1910, Louis Blaustein and his son opened the “first” gas station, eventually founding AMOCO OIL.
•In 1909, four Jews were among the 60 multi-cultural signers of the call to the National Action, which resulted in the creation of the NAACP.
•Emile Berliner developed the modern-day phonograph. The machine he patented was called the gramophone. Berliner made possible the modern record industry. His company was eventually absorbed by the Victor Talking Machine Company, now known as RCA.
•Jewish Louis B. Mayer (MGM) created the idea for the Oscar.
    Art and Literature
•Marc Chagall (born Segal, Russia) is one of the great 20th century painters.

Ok then.
Islamic nations had the first institutions we know today. public hospitals, libraries, lending libraries, psychiatric hospitals, universities that granted degrees (the oldest university in the world is Muslim)

During the middle ages, while the society was still controlled by Islam, other religions were welcome to contribute including Jews and Christians.
You cant thank Islam for introducing to the world the concept of cash cropping and crop rotation.

Abu al-Qasim al-Zahrawi is considered the father of modern surgery.

Alhazen made great contributions to the study of optics (including early methods of eye surgery). He was also one of the very first men to utilize the scientific method. His Book of Optics is ranked as one of the best books on physics next to Issac Newton’s work.

As said before the father of Algebra was Muslim.
Muslim astronomers were among the first think up a rotating Earth that circled the sun.

Many advancements in the study of Chemistry were because of Jabir ibn Hayyan, a pioneer in the field.

Muhammad ibn Zakariya al-Razi is considered one of the greatest physicians, and helped with the identification of small pox and measles.

Muslim soldiers in Egypt utilized fire proof clothing.
They were also the first to use portable hand cannons with reloadable black powder.

Drive a car? Muslim chemists were the ones to make gas from crude oil.

nakruh on August 13, 2009 at 2:18 pm

Muslims created nothing but lies accordfing to allah the devil sura 3:54 and lying was not new.

Muslims destroyed the library in Egypt and smashed the nose of the spinx and Egyptians killed the Muslims and buried him in sand.
Not one thing did Muslims ever invent. NOTHING. yOU INVADED LANDS AND RENAMED THINGS ISLAMIC. The Taj Mahal in India was Hindu and a Muslim renamed it from a temple for Shiva to Islamic ruler’s wife. Africans sang and danced and you even said you made singing and dance and Islam does not even sing or dance because it is against Islam according to Muhammad.

btilly on August 13, 2009 at 10:55 pm

How about that first world University (Al-Azhar, right?) in Cairo? Any research of note lately, other than Islamic studies? (Crickets.)

Thought so. Islam closed its intellectual searches around 1100. Nothing new scince then.

    Occam's Tool on March 4, 2011 at 1:15 pm

there is much more, but its going to get more specific. unless you want that?

nakruh on August 13, 2009 at 2:20 pm

The father of Algebra was not a Muslim, the man accredited with the formulations of algebraic equations was in fact Diophantus of Alexandria, sometimes called “the father of algebra”, was an Alexandrian mathematician and the author of a series of books called Arithmetica. He was greek, born 500 years before your Muslim friend. The man you are refering too was also not a Muslim, he was Persian, and he was an adherent of the old Zoroastrian religion.

The trouble with Muslims is they steal from other cultures and religions then claim it to be their own.

As far as astronomy, the Myan’s who were not Muslims or Arabs had the most sophisticated system for astronomy, calendars, keepers of time than any other culture in the world.

As far as hospitals, medicine, and medical treatment, the earlist examples of those systems are from the Egyptians, again, who were NOT muslims.

W: Right on! I’m sick and tired of their lies that they invented Algebra, etc. It’s bunk, as you note. DS

wolf2012 on August 13, 2009 at 3:27 pm

“The trouble with Muslims is they steal from other cultures and religions then claim it to be their own.”

True, a good example is the Hagia Sophia. They steal it, ruin the inside of it, and then build a copy right next to it.

Hopewell on August 13, 2009 at 6:02 pm

Exactly! I’ve been to Turkey and had the pleasure of seeing all the great examples of Christian architecture there. What is most interesting about the Hagia Sophia is when they painted(defaced) over all the Christian relifs, they left the ones of the Virgin Mary. I always found that odd.

wolf2012 on August 13, 2009 at 6:25 pm

I did say earlier that they made advancements in those fields. Just like we can thank many races and cultures for advancing several ideas. But are you actually saying that not one single Muslim ever contributed to society?

The algebra guy was a Muslim persian, and shares the title of founder of algebra with Diophantus. Either way modern algebra would not be what it is without his work.

And what do you mean steal? Its true that alot of things were first discovered or created by the Greeks, or other very ancient civilizations, and then throughout history they have been studied and made better by different cultures.

The Book of Optics made great strides in physics and helped introduce the scientific method.

Im sorry your all blinded by your hatred of Islam and refuse to accept that it did contribute to humanity
For gods sake do an internet search and look up what came about due to Islam.

Though raised Catholic, Hitler was a hardcore atheist by the time he became dictator of Nazi Germany. To the Germans, he once said:

“Let’s be the only people who are immunized against this disease [of Christianity].”

Hitler’s hatred of Christianity make sense because the faith includes such values as compassion and equality. It’s hard to march Jews into gas chambers when you view them as humans worthy of sympathy.

This also explains why Hitler began a campaign to silence and even murder pastors as well as destroy churches. There was also a bit of jealousy to his actions. In terms of worship in Germany, Hitler felt there wasn’t room for himself and God. (That’s typical of dictators.)

So, let’s squash this “Hitler was Christian” lie.

Fred on August 13, 2009 at 9:11 pm

Hitler was into the occult as was Muhammad. Muhammad believed in omens, and myths like Baraq the half horse with a woman’s head black women are a bad omen. Jews and Christians were turned into apes and pigs and rats. That is anti god’s creation as animals were created first.

btilly on August 13, 2009 at 10:58 pm

Jews are good and said in Isa 40:22 the earth was round and suspended on nothing while allah said the earth was flat sura 15:19. Now Muslims said allah was the crreator, didnt Allah know how he made the earth? wow

btilly on August 13, 2009 at 11:01 pm

dude. this is pretty racist. i mean, how can you guys really just say someone isn’t human? sure maybe TERRORISTS do all those Muslim stereotypes, but surely you guys don’t REALLY think that all Muslims do that, right? <:O

skarimi on December 4, 2009 at 1:33 am

I love how you can just watch any movie and flip it so its political… Youre TOTALLY not biased at all.

Rocky on December 31, 2009 at 6:53 pm

These posts are disgusting. As one who’s been all over the world, I can say that people are people wherever they are.

Go back deep into the Talmud and you’ll come across all sorts of vile stuff Jews wrote about Christians, stuff that’s not mentioned in today’s politically correct synagogues.

Those countries that are the most advanced are those where Christianity came latest implying the longer Christianity has been around in a country, the less advanced – economically, socially, etc. – it is.

That’s how history is. A conquers B, C conquers A, etc. The U.S. was certainly a conquering nation. We didn’t go from sea to shining sea by being Mr. Nice Guy.

bugger33 on August 9, 2010 at 1:11 pm

“Muslims … smashed the nose of the spinx and Egyptians killed the Muslims and buried him in sand. ”

This is ignorance on display …. It was not muslims that smashed the nose of the Sphinx , but Napoleon’s artillery battalion in Egypt using the Sphinx for target practice, during his Egyptian campaign in the first decade of the 1800′s.
