Golden Globes Honor a Nazi Lover

By Debbie Schlussel

The mainstream media, pop culture, and Hollywood are all abuzz about the “coming out” speech at last night’s “Golden Globes” Clinton-Fest awards show by Jodie Foster, who actually outed herself as a lesbian over five years ago when she praised her then-“partner” Cydney Bernard. It was bizarre to watch her two fatherless sons cheering on her rambling, weird speech. And Bill Clinton was there because, like all liberal Presidents, he loves to hobnob with Hollywood’s royalty of proud high school grads. And also because when someone asked him if he’d like to attend the Golden Globes, he probably thought they were referring to the upper part of a woman’s anatomy. But the most outrageous thing is that Hollywood, in honoring Jodie Foster, was honoring someone who has served as the apologist for assorted real-life Nazis and their wannabe imitators. Not that excusing Jew-hatred and Nazi-love in Hollywood is anything new.

Anti-Semitism Expert Jodie Foster Said Hitler Galpal Filmmaker Was “Misunderstood”

As I’ve previously told you, Jodie Foster wanted to play Nazi filmmaker and Hitler girlfriend Leni Riefenstahl in a biopic she was to produce, glorifying Riefenstahl, who forced concentration camp inmates to play extras in her propaganda movies on behalf of the Third Reich. Foster said Riefenstahl was “misunderstood” and actually a great person. I guess I can’t blame just Foster, since the Academy Awards fondly remembered Riefenstahl a few years ago. Then, “Rabbi Jodie” told us that her “surrogate father” Mel Gibson (as she called him at last night’s Globes show) wasn’t anti-Semitic, despite a history of his and his father’s anti-Semitic comments against Jews (and their Holocaust-denial). (That not to mention her defaming of Federal Air Marshals and flight attendants as “the real terrorists,” not “unfairly accused” Muslims.)

jodiefostermelgibson

And, yet, Hollywood honored her with the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award, last night. Cecil is turning over in his grave (as is his Moses, Charlton Heston, I’m sure). The entertainment industry gushes over this modern-day Eva Braun merely because she’s a lesbian. Again, no surprise there. Being gay trumps being a Nazi apologist in Hollywood. And actually both of them seem to be lauded equally in Lalaland these days.

As a kid, she played a hooker in “Taxi Driver.” And, in real life, she’s a professional prostitute for a cornucopia of Jew-haters. But in America, that’s who we admire now.

Hollywood will–at some point–achieve critical mass in pissing off enough moviegoers.

As to Jodie–OK, she’s a lesbo, big surprise, but all that pro-Nazi stuff too? If we could call up some of the guys who stormed Omaha Beach in 1944, I wonder if they would still think it was worth it.

The pendulum will swing….but when?

“Jodie Foster broke down accepting a Golden Globe Award. She discussed her mother, her loneliness, her childhood and her sexual identity.

John Hinckley issued a statement from his mental hospital saying he knew all along they were made for each other.” – Argus Hamilton

Not just the men who stormed Omaha Beach. I’d like to ask the dough boys of WWW I and the boys in blue of the Civil war and even the Revolutionary War.
If they could see what America has become today, would they give their lives for this.
The Bible can’t be taught in public schools, but same sex relationships are mandatory teaching in some states.
The list of grievances is endless.
I can’t help but imagine if those brave men knew what the future held they would have stayed home from all of those wars.

steve g on January 14, 2013 at 1:47 pm

Um…not to nitpick, but you referred to Jodie as “the former Bad News Bear”. I don’t think she was in “The Bad News Bears” or any of its sequels or the short-lived TV series. You might be thinking of Tatum O’Neal who played pitcher Amanda Whurlitzer in the original movie.

A: OOPS. I stand corrected. Thanks. Fixing. DS

Alan on January 14, 2013 at 2:04 pm

Lol, anyone could’ve made that mistake. Separated at birf.
Good points though. She really really does embody all that hollywired is about. Taxi driver was a super creepy movie that I still can’t believe they made. She is obviously another victim of stage parents. Wth kind of people could prop their kid into that kind of movie.

The dynamic is the same one as during World War II where so many, many ‘artists’ supported the Vichy Regime during the time it was murdering huge numbers of Jews. Not much changes. Picasso, Edith Piaf, ad nauseam. And the ease with which these despicable people traveled between right and left to suit their convenience.

Good one about the Golden Globes. Along those lines, I need to remind President Clinton that January is National Stalking Awareness Month. Perhaps he can hold off a little on his stalking until February 1, and remind ole Mel to do the same thing.

And I wonder if the former President went back to his old stomping grounds to hit on Foster before he learned the truth about her.

Little Al on January 14, 2013 at 2:27 pm

    @Little Al–

As to WWII and “artists,” growing up during the 1950s and 60s, we were constantly reminded of our “patriotic” Hollywood actors, who so valiantly supported the war. Left unsaid, of course, was that most of them were hard-core Lefties, who were happy to fight fascism and be aligned with Uncle Joe.

Red Ryder on January 14, 2013 at 2:46 pm

Yes, very true. And the House Un-American Activities Committee should have gotten a lot more support than they did when they tried to clean Hollywood out. If they had really succeeded, maybe things wouldn’t be quite as bad today.

Although there were some real patriots like James Stewart, Clark Gable, Loretta Young and Carole Lombard, who didn’t have anything to do with the Communists.

Little Al on January 15, 2013 at 7:31 am

It is no real surprise that the French(along with the Poles) were killing Jews. This is History that has been ignored largely by schools. If you want to take a look at History Germany was actually more friendly to the Jews than most of Europe. Looking at WWI Jews in Germany were loyal citizens and did not believe that Hitler was doing the things he was. Lets not be fooled again.

Jonathan Gartner on January 15, 2013 at 12:52 pm

Jodie Foster would still have been honored if she was an Islamic terrorist apologist. But there is a difference between the Nazis and today’s enemies of the Jews.

While Hollywood paints Nazis as the ultimate evil, it whitewashes Islam, which is far more dangerous to the Jews and the West than the Nazis ever were. Its not a Jewish-only problem. By the time Israel is extinguished, the West will be the next target.

But that’s too dense for today’s leftist dilettantes to grasp. The Golden Globes gala only shows how far out of touch they are with reality and all the beautiful people can’t change the evil that exists in the world with platitudes and more movies.

NormanF on January 14, 2013 at 2:39 pm

For the record, I didn’t see this the Golden Globes last night, I was too busy watching, “The Shahs of Sunset” (I really like that show, and NO the folks on that show aren’t muslims just because their middle eastern-persians/iranians), and Jodie Foster should be ashamed of herself for shilling for Leni Riefensthal, Ms. Riefensthal in her day was not a good person nor she wasn’t misunderstood, she was who she was, an apologist for Adolf Hitler.

BTW, Steve G, I don’t mean to sound like an atheist or agnostic (even though I have some friends who are agnostic and atheist), but creationism along with the bible should not be taught in public schools, public schools are secular and should remain that way. If you want creationist classes taught in schools, they teach them in parochial schools and also houses-of-worship schools when you go to church, synagouge, mosque, temple, etc.

“A nation is defined by its borders, language & culture!”

Sean R. on January 14, 2013 at 2:41 pm

    @Sean R.–

I think what Steve was referring to was prayer in school, and some token bible readings. That was standard fare until the Supreme Court decisions of the early 1960s.

Yep, the country is so much better off now, right?

Red Ryder on January 14, 2013 at 2:49 pm

I could see why there was some confusion as to whether Ms. Foster was a “Bad News Bear,” and especially between her and Tatum O’Neal: She was actually in the short-lived 1974-75 TV series version of Paper Moon, in the role Ms. O’Neal played in the original 1973 film.

But in all seriousness, it figures why Leni Riefenstahl is so admired in La-La Land: So many “filmmakers” today (i.e. Michael Moore, Morgan Spurlock) have effectively followed in her corrupt footsteps in terms of making outright propaganda that have poisoned so many young people’s minds today.

ConcernedPatriot on January 14, 2013 at 2:53 pm

You forget one thing. Many of the bigwigs in Hollywood are Jewish. If there was absolute proof that Jodie
Foster was anti-semtitic I could not see her receiving this honor. However, Vanessa Redgrave received an Academy award and her anti-jewish sentiments are well known in the industry. So go figure! Yes Jodie has a very clsoe friendship with Mel Gibson but he could hardly be a father figure being about 6 years older–more like a twisted brother!! Gibson is lucky that he had a place of safety and honor at Jodie’s table as I cannot imagine anyone else there wanting to sit with him!!!Jodie has made amazing accomplishments in the movie business. She is a brilliant actress and film maker but many times I wish she would just shut up and keep her views to herself..

Jan on January 14, 2013 at 3:17 pm

” A brilliant actress”, REALLY ? What wonderful epic movies which required “brilliant” acting has she been in ? Silence of the Lambs ? Safe Room ?…please…Melanie Griffith could have done as well..”brilliant” your threshold in pretty low..

TheGhostofBelleStarr on January 16, 2013 at 6:19 pm

A couple of thoughts on the Show That I Neither Watched Nor Recorded Last Night.

To NORM! Thinking outside the box, I’m quite sure that there were plenty of Nazi sympathizers in Holly-weird. The problem is that if they were to do for National Socialism what the current crop of neo-surrenderists are doing for fascist Islamo-Arabism, they’d be out of a job because (putting on an Alex Jones cap) the bosses would be upset.

You might say that the real perceived enemy in Holly-weird at that time were not ze Germans but the darker-skinned Nipponese. But that is for another debate.

As for the GG’s – and by extension the People’s Choice Awards, the Oscars, Cannes, etc… – as one wise guy said, “Birds of a feather f*** together”. Somewhere Stateside, Mrs Clinton is wishing he was born a woman and not a president, just to be close to Jodie Foster.

(Before you nitpick, Nudniks, “Mrs Clinton” is NOT a typo, eh?)

And speaking of Jodie – I knew she was like THAT way back when she was getting into her teen years. In the 70’s, she appeared in a French movie called “Moi, fleur bleu” (check this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0076401/). Back then, I was a little obsessed with her (can’t help it – I was only 13-14 in France back then), but I couldn’t help notice that she appeared a little bit, um, MANLY in a “Premiere” magazine shoot. It was then I realized that she was not the girl for me. The end.

The Reverend Jacques on January 14, 2013 at 3:40 pm

That speech had to be the most rambling, incoherent exercise in narcissism I have ever seen or heard. “I’m 50!” I wonder if Glen Close, Jessica Lange, Sally Field and Julia Louise Dreyfus were all secretly thinking to themselves, “I accomplished that years ago…so whaddya want, a trophy? Oh yeah, I forgot, that’s apparently what this is all about.”

But hey, she’s Becky Thatcher, Freaky Friday and worked with Henry Fonda, so anything she utters has got to be of profound importance:

If you think ANYBODY coming out in 2013 is brave you’re a dumb f***. I am so sick of self-congratulatory Libtards acting as if someone comimg out TODAY is akin to Saint Hood. You’re gonna need a hot-tub time machine to make me think you’re brave. Go 30 years back and we can chat about bravery.

Personally, I think it’s a personal matter and should be kept private IF DESIRED. If not, I don’t mind peeps if they are gay (I hate political, Lefty ones thou’…they’re tiresome and mentally ill…just like straight Libtards). I’ve always had an affinity for gays. Especially males.

Strangely many of the famous Australians (gays & gay supporters) I follow on Twitter seem to think coming out in 2013 earns one a huge parade down Main Street USA. Nope. No one cares. And these are peeps in their 30s and 40s who just recently came out. How boring and self-back slapping. All the hard work for gays is already done and has been for years. Everything else (other than things regarding Transexuals) pushed for nowadays is just their desire to make you condone what they do and call it normal. I don’t mind gays of great character (just like everyone else) but don’t force me to believe what you are and what you do is exactly the same as heteros. It’s not. And the stringent Holy Rollers are not gonna see it as I do…not even a little. And that is their right.

And Jody Foster, as much as I liked how she did not feel the need to publicize she was gay (who didn’t know except whacko John Hinckley Jr.????) for many years, I resent her using it in safe-for-gays 2013. STFU, Nazi lover.

And DS is right to call her on her support of Gibson and Riefenstahl. Mel Gibson USED to be my very favourite (especially when I was a teen) but there is NO WAY I could like or support him in 2013. He has proven himself a Jew hater and a total religious hypocrite. He’s disgusting. He dug his own grave. Yuck!

And anyone who believes Leni Riefenstahl was “misunderstood” WANTS to believe that. I read both her biographies and there is no way in HELL that Nazi wasn’t what she was…a Nazi and Hitler supporter. She did indeed use Gypsy Children for her films and they sent them right off to a Concentration Camps. Thank you and goodbye.

BUT if you’re a feminist, it’s just too tempting not to make excuses for the execrable Leni Riefenstahl as she indeed got involved in many things females just didn’t in the 30’s and 40’s. But her propaganda and Nazi sympathies should wipe out any warm and fuzzy feelings silly females have regarding that.

And Jody Foster is a creep for saying Riefenstahl was “misunderstood”. Nope. She could never erase the smear (she lived to 100+) and THAT is the good news about LR. Nothing she did (even with the African Nuba Tribe) could get the Nazi stink off of her.

Skunky on January 14, 2013 at 7:04 pm

No way!!? *sarcasm*
Squared jaw, pants with blazers, NEVER seen with men, and as an unbelievable under aged prostitute in “Taxi Driver”…never would of thought that…BFD. Shut up and act. Who gives a Shiite.
Aside: Heard recently that MANY of the current “leaders” in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey are/were sons of men DIRECTLY involved with the Third Reich …as in Islamic members of the Arab Nazi Party. Might be old news to some, but it was eyeopening when I heard it.

Sick_Boy on January 14, 2013 at 7:10 pm

“Cecil is turning over in his grave”

Not necessarily… despite his Jewish mother, DeMille was apparently anti-Semitic. So he might be a fan.

dee on January 14, 2013 at 7:12 pm

We all know how much those Hollywood Jews love Nazis.
You really think someone who finds a figure as complex and important to the history of film as Leni Riefenstahl interesting is a Nazi supporter? Is everybody who ever wrote a biography on a Nazi leader now a neo-Nazi?

And holy hell, to those in the comments section,
“Oh don’t get me wrong, I love ‘The Gays’ except when they’re liberal or obnoxious or come out in public or acknowledge any difference between them and myself.”

Benjamin on January 14, 2013 at 8:22 pm

Aw. Benny. Sorry if I’m too nuanced for you to follow regarding gays. I know you think if I tow the line and wear my rainbow flag t=shirt and NEVER say anything bad about the gays that’s the ONLY way I can righteously be a friend to the gays. *Pouty face*

I don’t owe you an explanation like a line-item veto. I don’t need to defend myself to a Libtard like you. Besides, don’t you love gays enough for alllllll of us?

And Benny, I actually read two books on Leni Riefenstahl and I am NOT Jewish but I couldn’t EVER get past her contribution to the Nazi regime and how she bolstered Hitler AND sent children to the Nazi Concentration Camps once she was done. Use once and destroy…once her films were done.

But you got your skid-marked knickers in a twist because I am open about what I like and dislike in gays but you want Leni Riefenstahl to be forgiven because she contributed to the film arts. Priorities!

That’s nice Benny and the Jets, but I would not brag about it. EVER!

Everyone thinks that this smug, self centered anti-Semitic twat is a genius because she went to Yale. Sorry to burst the bubble, but the Ivy League schools are a bunch of star f-ckers who stock up on Hollywood brats for the prestige and the $$$. Remember, most schools are no better that the whores that give handjobs for $5.

Crude, but true.

Jodie Foster was outed by Michelangelo Signorile (mainly) via his Gossip Watch column in Outweek in the 80s. Blast from the past, as ol’ Mike is now pretending that he was just “reporting” the event, when he was in the thick of it.

What is new for me (and I can’t explain how I did not know it) is Foster’s obvious anti-Semitism.

skzion on January 14, 2013 at 9:12 pm

Jodie Foster is stale. She has not done much of note since Silence of the Lambs.

Worry01 on January 14, 2013 at 9:31 pm

I refuse to see anything with Jodie Foster. I’ll never forget an interview she did a number of years ago. She stated that she hated imperfection. She said that if she saw a baby bird on the sidewalk with a broken wing that rather than walking around it or helping it she would kill it! I found her statement shocking and reminiscent of a Nazi mentality.

PaulaMalka on January 14, 2013 at 10:19 pm

Thanks for bringing this to light Debbie. I can honestly say I didn’t “get it” before, but now I got it.

I’ve worked in the movie industry making movies, many big movies, and had met her a few times. Her being friends with Mel Gibson should have been obvious.

Antisemetic bitch.

She should have been cast out after she made that horrible movie Contact.

DOW on January 15, 2013 at 12:18 am

In earlier times, a number of gay people concealed their sexual orientation in order to preserve their careers. Not addressing Foster per se now, but I wonder if some of the people ‘coming out’ today are not really gay, but have the same motive as their earlier counterparts — pretending they are gay to enhance their careers, just as Cherokee Liz did in another context.

Little Al on January 15, 2013 at 7:38 am

I’m sure that the majority of the ignorami in the audience have no idea who Leni Riefenstahl was, or what she stood for. These mindless drones can only play follow-the-leader with their lock-step comments. It’s a sad comment on our society when these legends in their own minds are looked up to by the sheeple as “Role models.”

Victoryman on January 15, 2013 at 9:09 am

The fact that she wanted to make the Leni Riefenstahl biopic din’t bother me as much as her speech. She seemed to be using her “coming out” as a weird publicity stunt, not caring if Cydney Bernard was embarrased.

Don’t insult Eva Braun by comparing her to Jodie Foster.

Yes, you can even get away with semi-sympathizing with Nazis in “The Industry”….as long as you are Democrat/LEFTIST and vote for the Jackass Party candidate every 4 years….

Martel732 on January 15, 2013 at 11:16 am

Apparently Leni Riefenstahl’s films were quite ground breaking and interesting for their time.
She probably moved a lot of Nazi product.
Hollywood needs to move product but their movies are anything but interesting and innovative these days so you can see why some might aspire to be her. You have to aspire to something I guess.

Jodie didn’t turn out so bad considering she grew up a film star and is probably so far removed from normal that that’s how she thinks of herself.
Mel Gibson is the kind of Catholic that blames Jews for killing a Jew called Jesus.
Morons like this are anti-semites even when they lose their religion and become good socialists which is the natural progression for these bozos.

I can’t watch a film of Mel Gibson’s anymore without thinking about what a pisser he is.
Anyway they make a nice a rent a couple.

Frankz on January 15, 2013 at 5:37 pm

    Frankz, you nailed it here…

“Mel Gibson is the kind of Catholic that blames Jews for killing a Jew called Jesus.”

That’s right. And he’s a fraud. An alco and baby-daddy fraud. Some Catholic! Many big-mouth atheists are not as odious as he is!

Watching his old films makes me sad. I never watch anything new. He’s horrid!

Skunky on January 15, 2013 at 6:56 pm

Frankz on January 16, 2013 at 8:58 pm

This is why I never watch these “award” thingys. I want to stay in denial about how weird some of these actors are. I watch them do their thing in a movie and if I like it or not, that’s it. Rather like seeing a piece of art. If it stands on its own and I like it, that’s good enough. I don’t need to know how strange the painter or sculptor was. It’s typically not that enlightening to know anyway. And, if it’s so bleedingly personal and or obtuse and I have to know all about the artist to understand it, well f’ck it, it isn’t worth it.

Pray Hard on January 16, 2013 at 10:18 pm

I don’t get what the big deal about her speech was, other than incoherence. I’ve known for YEARS she was gay. A friend of mine went to Yale when she did and said Jodie showed up at a Halloween party with her girlfriend on a leash. In fact, why do you think they gave her the award? Maybe the fact that she’s done so many different Hollywood jobs (acting, directing, producing, etc) was part of it, but they WANTED her to launch into a gay speech. That’s the whole point of so many shows today. Make sure you have a gay or a gay couple, and eventually everyone will get used to it. I mean really….how “brave” is it to come out in Hollywood today? Brave would be “I’m straight and devoted to my spouse and I refuse to preach to people.” I’m sorry, Hollywood wouldn’t allow that kind of deviant talk.
