Is Anyone Surprised that AP Dropped “Illegal Immigrant” From Its Stylebook (Back in October)?

By Debbie Schlussel

While I was away for the end of Passover, yesterday, I received a number of e-mails from friends and readers about Associated Press’ decision to drop the term, “illegal immigrant,” from its stylebook. But ask yourself, when was the last time you saw any AP story . . . or any story from any mainstream news media outlet, using the term, “illegal immigrant”?

apillegalalienssmaller2.jpgAP

I can’t remember seeing that term used in years. Even AP officially said, back in October, that it would rarely use the term. Most media outlets use the term “undocumented worker” (as if they are all workers contributing something to America, and that’s hardly the case), or some other politically-correct, bias-laden term. Heck, even the term, “illegal immigrant,” is politically correct. They aren’t immigrants and shouldn’t be. They are aliens, invaders, interlopers, infiltrators . . . all of whom should be deported. Ebony Couple of the Year: Muslims Who Publish “Prisonworld” Mag to Convert Black Prisoners to Islam; From ’80s “Ready For the World” Band?

By Debbie Schlussel

It’s odd that Black America continues to embrace the religion that traded and sold them into slavery from Africa, the religion that still enslaves them in Muslim countries around the world, and the inherently racist religion that refers to Blacks as “abed” or “abeed” (the Arabic singular and plural word which literally means “slave” but is used as the Muslim version of the N-word). But Ebony Magazine–the most popular monthly publication in Black America–named Muslims, Rufus and Jenny Triplett, its couple of the year in 2012, and they continue to milk this throughout Black America for the purpose of proselytizing Islam.

Ebony Couple of the Year Converts Black Criminals & Ex-Cons to Islam

The Tripletts, through their Dawah International, LLC (dawah is Islamic proselytizing), pretend that they are offering “marriage advice” to Black America. But that’s the bait for the switch. They publish Prisonworld Magazine and own Prisonworld Records, which pretend to help ex-cons, but the purpose of which is really to convert Black prisoners and ex-cons to Islam. Because we need more of that, right? They also prey on “at-risk youth.” Read the rest of this entry »

Huh? She Can’t Afford to Live on $21,000 a Month

By Debbie Schlussel

Most Americans would kill to make nearly $21,000 a month. And most Americans would be able to live well within that with a lot left over. With that kind of money coming in, all of their prayers would be answered, all of their financial problems solved. That’s why there are no tears from me for longtime Psychic Friends Network spokeschick and singer Dionne Warwick, who filed for bankruptcy for the second time, last week. Her absurd expenses compared with the amount of money she has coming in would make any average American’s jaw drop. She’s hardly destitute, just profligate.

dionnewarwickjessejackson

Quite what she offered is unclear. In her bankruptcy filing, Warwick – who lives in a rented detached home in the village of South Orange, New Jersey – details monthly expenses of $20,940 and monthly income of $20,950, leaving her just $10 in float. Read the rest of this entry »

PETA Won: The Dumbest Custody Fight Ever

By Debbie Schlussel

The animal rights nuts have won. As I’ve been saying on this site for years, they won long ago.

They won because Americans spend billions on organic animal treats, pet resorts, Bark Mitzvah gear, and pet aromatherapy, spa treatments, and massage. They won because far too many Americans refer to pets as their “kids” and treat them far better than they would their kids. They won because being a vegan is no longer a freakish condition, but a mainstream attribute, complete with vegan restaurants and the like. So while you and I think that PETA a/k/a PUTAh (People for the Unethical Treatment of Animals and humans) is a crazy terrorist organization that euthanizes dogs and supports organizations that blow up university buildings and ruing college medical research experiments, they’ve won. Maybe not as fast or as noticeably as the gay marriage advocates. But they’ve won and they’re continuing to change American attitudes to the point that you and I might be what’s for dinner and eating steak will be a criminal offense.

Custody Fight Over Dennis Hopper

And the latest example that they’ve won is the Michael Fossett/Lindsay Conte custody fight.

They only had a dog together for about 18 months, but their legal fight over who should get to keep Dennis Hopper after they split has lasted at least twice that long. Michael Fossett and Lindsay Conte first squared off over custody of the miniature brown and white dachshund in Justice of the Peace Court in 2011, then took it to the Court of Common Pleas in 2012 and most recently to Delaware Superior Court. Lego Caves to Jabba the Hutt Jihad

By Debbie Schlussel

Back in January, I told you about Austrian Muslims going nuts over a Lego Star Wars Jabba the Hutt Palace toy, which they claimed resembled two different mosques, including a Turkish church, the Hagia Sophia, which Muslims forcibly took over and converted into a mosque. And I predicted on my Facebook account that Lego would give in. Well, it didn’t take long. On Saturday, Lego announced that it would end production of Jabba the Hutt’s Palace. I don’t blame the uber-idiocy and absurdity of the Islamic community as much as I blame Lego for caving. As I’ve previously told you, I’d never buy Lego (except at a thrift shop, where it’s second hand) because Lego is part of the entire Danish anti-Israel, Islamo-pandering world. And, so, this is so predictable.

Behead All Jabba The Hutts & Legos That Insult Islam!

Austria’s Turkish community claimed a victory in its fight against Danish toy giant Lego yesterday after the firm agreed to withdraw a Star Wars toy set featuring a mosque-like building inhabited by an obese, hookah–smoking alien, following complaints that it was anti-Muslim. “Mad Men” Creator/Producer Whines for More Gun Control

By Debbie Schlussel

On Sunday, the sixth season of AMC’s “Mad Men,” one of television’s most acclaimed and buzzed about TV series, debuts. And in the media blitz to promote the new season, the April 11th issue of Rolling Stone (yup, amazingly it’s still around, though less relevant than ever) features “Mad Men” star, Jon Hamm, on the cover, with a feature story inside. In the article, “Mad Men” creator and executive producer, Matthew Weiner (who also wrote for “The Sopranos”), whines that we don’t have more gun control, and tells us that this is somehow part of his show, since the show depicted the John F. Kennedy assassination in a previous season.

“We keep making the same mistakes,” he says. “For instance, you can’t pick a year between 1960 and 1980 and not see it filled with gun violence. And yet no one’s ever done sh*t about it. You’d think gun violence would be affected by the president being shot in the head. You’d think a Marine getting a rifle and shooting 45 people would have done something. But it didn’t.” Read the rest of this entry »

Kevin Ware Injury a Stark Example of Why Colleges Shouldn’t Be in the Sports Biz

By Debbie Schlussel

Kevin Ware’s horrific basketball injury is yet another stark example of why colleges shouldn’t be in the pro sports biz.

On Sunday afternoon, you might have been watching the NCAA Midwest Regional final in the March Madness basketball tournament, when Ware, a University of Louisville player suffered a Joe Theismann-esque injury. He broke his shin bone, and the injury was so grotesque that physical trainers immediately used a blanket to cover up what was reportedly a shin bone protruding out from Ware’s leg.

kevinware

On TV, you could see coaches and fellow players–grown men all–crying visible tears. It was that bad. And despite being rushed to the hospital for surgery, it’s probably a career-ending injury just as Theismann’s similar bone-break was career-ending with regard to his career as an NFL player. But at the time, Theismann was an NFL player with the Washington Redskins. And even though he didn’t make the money NFL players make today, he could have had a good cushion at the time, had he spent his money right. (I’m not sure he spent his money right, because he went on to sue his ex-girlfriend, actress Cathy Lee Crosby, for half her estate in some sort of pseudo-palimony kind of action, which was settled.) Chicks Fail Marine Infantry Course . . . AGAIN: Women in Combat Preview; “Gender-Neutral Standards” on the Way

By Debbie Schlussel

File under, “Preview of Women in Combat – Epic Fail.” Or under, “The Movie ‘G.I. Jane’ & Other Fairy Tales.”

I already told you, last fall, about the two females who failed the Marine infantry training. They couldn’t even complete the course and dropped out. Now, two chicks failed the same Marine infantry course. . . again. And they want them in combat? Hilarious. Well, it would be hilarious, if it wasn’t so sad and detrimental to U.S. military readiness. Good luck with that, America. And, as I noted before, the Marines said, after the first two chicks failed, that the Marine Corps would look to formulating “gender-neutral standards”–translation: LOWERING the standards–so women will pass. And that’s comin’ up real soon. Semper Futilis.

U.S. Marine Corps Gets Chickified

Two female officers entered the demanding Marine Infantry Officer Course this week — only the second time in the history of the course that women have been allowed to compete to become ground combat leaders — but neither passed the grueling obstacle course on Thursday, military officials said. The women made it through the first few days of the course. Read the rest of this entry »

Happy 60th, Peeps! Unkosher Easter Candy Invented (Sort of) by Russian Jewish Immigrant

By Debbie Schlussel

For the record, because I keep kosher, I’ve never eaten a “Peep” (“Peeps” aren’t kosher because they have non-kosher gelatin in them), but if you are Christian and celebrate Easter, you’ve probably had the marshmallow confections that come in many colors, are in the form of chicks and bunnies, and are traditionally eaten on or around Easter. But this is the 60th anniversary of “Peeps,” and since I love Americana, I thought you might be interested in a little info on Peeps, which were either invented by a Russian Jewish immigrant or the Michigan-born son of English immigrants. (Remember, this was “yesterday’s” kind of immigrants, who wanted to become Americans, worked hard, and invented great things, not today’s immigrants who are constituents of Jihad and La Raza.)

peeps

Most candy trivia authorities believe Peeps were invented by Roscoe E. Rodda, the Michigan-born son of a copper mining immigrant from England. His Rodda Candy Company sold marshmallow chicks, but they looked different, and the company apparently did not call them, “Peeps.” But in 1953, Sam Born, a Russian Jewish immigrant, acquired Rodda Candy Company through his Just Born, Inc. company. That year, Born re-designed the confections and began marketing them as Peeps and as Easter basket stuffers. And, so, that’s why 1953 is considered the year Peeps were invented, and this year is considered the candy’s 60th anniversary. Born often gets credit as the inventor of Peeps, and he sorta is, but also sorta isn’t. Read the rest of this entry »

On Easter Sunday, Google Celebrates . . . Cesar Chavez?!

By Debbie Schlussel

Even though I’m not a Christian, I recognize that today is Easter Sunday and have wished my Christian friends and readers a Happy Easter. But Google, on the other hand, is dissing and ignoring one of the world’s largest religions, and instead of recognizing Easter, has chosen to recognize the birthday of a long-dead, far-left, liberal labor organizer, Cesar Chavez. When I first went on Google today, I thought maybe I had discovered some new Christian leader I’d never heard of before. But when I clicked on the picture of the drawing of a particular man in today’s Google icon, it turned out it was Chavez (the drawing looks nothing like the guy).

googlecesarchavez

But Chavez, co-founder of the United Farm Workers, wasn’t all that the far left wants him to be. On the one hand, while Chavez was a union leader and led hunger strikes, he was also a guy who was against illegal aliens (believing, correctly, that they drove down the wages of American workers), and he opposed radical Hispanic racist groups, like La Raza. He was also a devoutly religious Catholic, who would probably be ashamed that Google honored him instead of using some sort of Easter icon in its famous logo, today. It’s interesting, though, that Google–which is about the freedom of the internet (in some countries) and searching for information–honors Chavez, a man who stomped on those freedoms, purging anyone from the United Farm Workers who dissented or disagreed with him. A believer in democracy he was not, except when it benefited him. Read the rest of this entry »
