Congresswoman Kay Granger, Republican of Texas, is one of the few–very few–Members of Congress with the cojones to just say no to sending U.S. taxpayer money to Islamic extremists. Kudos to her for her guts and resolve. As you read this, ask yourself whether a Romney State Department (Romney was a big-time supporter of “Arab Spring” BS in Egypt, Libya, Syria, and elsewhere) would behave any differently than the Obama one.

The Obama administration notified Congress on Friday that it would provide Egypt’s new government an emergency cash infusion of $450 million, but the aid immediately encountered resistance from a prominent lawmaker wary of foreign aid and Egypt’s new course under the leadership of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The aid is part of the $1 billion in assistance that the Obama administration has pledged to Egypt to bolster its transition to democracy after the overthrow last year of the former president, Hosni Mubarak. . . . The United States Agency for International Development notified Congress of the cash infusion on Friday morning during the pre-election recess, promptly igniting a smoldering debate over foreign aid and the administration’s handling of crises in the Islamic world.

An influential Republican lawmaker, Representative Kay Granger of Texas, immediately announced that she would use her position as chairwoman of the House appropriations subcommittee overseeing foreign aid to block the distribution of the money. She said the American relationship with Egypt “has never been under more scrutiny” than it is in the wake of the election of President Mohamed Morsi, a former leader of the Muslim Brotherhood. Despite the Western conventional wisdom and the empty claims of American diplomats and elected officials, Qatar is neither a moderate state nor an American ally. This is the country whose royal dictators founded, finance, and run Al-Jazeera (on which the Muslim Brotherhood spiritual leader, Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, has a weekly show to spew his extremism, including fatwas to blow up American soldiers and Israeli Jews). It’s a country that strictly adheres to the Arab Muslim boycott against Israel. And, now, Qatar is the first to open a diplomatic office in Gaza, officially recognizing–and giving the halal seal of approval to–HAMAS.

In a boost to Gaza’s Hamas government, the Gulf state of Qatar said on Sunday it opened the first diplomatic office in the isolated territory since the Islamic military group took power five years ago. Read the rest of this entry »

As you’ve probably heard, Amanda Clayton, the Michigan Lottery winner who continued to accept food stamps and pleaded guilty to food stamp fraud after she won $1 million, is dead. I say, good riddance. And . . . enjoy hell.

I say that not because of her food stamp fraud, which is bad enough, or because she died of a drug overdose, another sign that she was a loser and an idiot. Clayton was a horrible human being who tried to have her neighbors killed, after she apparently feuded with them over lawn mowing and grass clippings. I’ve written about many lottery winners over the years–including several in Michigan–who died or otherwise messed up their lives after winning the lottery (see also here). But Clayton is particularly evil, having used her lottery winnings to hire hitmen to murder innocent neighbors. And she got away with that, as she was never charged, despite admissions from the hitmen. Oh, and did I mention that the 25-year-old Clayton was a babymama to two kids (apparently to two different men), both of whom will probably grow up to be losers, just like her? She didn’t raise either of them. One of the kids was pushed off on Clayton’s mother and the other was apparently living at the kid’s father’s house.

Here’s a little flashback on this piece of crap lottery winner, Clayton. G-d did us all a “Clean Up on Aisle Six” favor by erasing her from the earth.

A Michigan lottery winner charged with food stamp fraud is now being accused by her neighbors of something a little more serious.

“She’s using her money to try to kill us,” neighbor Candace Combs told reporters.

Combs said 25-year-old “Make Me Rich!” winner Amanda Clayton hired three hitmen to kill her and another neighbor, Victor Bartolo, on Sunday. Read the rest of this entry »

Last week, the Showtime series, “Homeland,” cleaned up at the Emmy Awards. And, tonight, its second season debuts. A few weeks ago, I bought the DVD for the first season and binge-watched the entire thing. While the show is very well done and suspenseful, it’s a show written and produced by liberals who blame America for Islamic terrorism and who tend to root for–and definitely sympathize with–the Islamic terrorists. The people behind the show said as much, last week, in promoting the show’s second season. And it’s no coincidence that this is Barack Obama’s favorite show.

For those not familiar with “Homeland,” it’s based on a TV series by Israeli liberals in which a suspected terrorist is among Israeli soldiers returning home from a stint as prisoners of war in Syria. One or more of them has been turned, according to intelligence. And so it goes with Homeland. CIA agent Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) gets a tip from an informant in Iraq who is about to be put to death because she cannot save him. The tip is that an American soldier in captivity there has been turned into a terrorist. She forgets about this, until months later, Marine Sergeant Nicholas Brody (Damien Lewis) is found after being held hostage for eight years. Mathison believes he’s the terrorist, but no one believes her. And she’s secretly hiding that she is bipolar and on medication surreptitiously given to her by her sister, who is a doctor. (Oh, and she’s a desperate, lonely woman who cannot keep her pants on, especially with the people she most shouldn’t sleep with, such as people she suspects are Islamic terrorists.) We learn by the third episode that her suspicion was correct and that Brody has converted to Islam and is secretly praying in his garage, so his family won’t find out. Read the rest of this entry »

Tonight at sundown, the Jewish holiday of Sukkot begins (and ends next week–it lasts seven days, and then there are a couple of one-day holidays tacked on after the end). I’ll be posting one or two ore things tonight and I have several newsworthy things I’ve written in advance, which will be posted during my absence on Monday and Tuesday. Per usual, it’s stuff you won’t read anywhere else. So stay tuned.

To my Jewish friends and readers, I wish you a “Chag Sukkot Kasher v’Sameach”–a Kosher and Happy Sukkot Holiday. For my gentile readers, here’s an explanation of the holiday:

Sukkot is one of my favorite Jewish holidays because it’s a cool fall, outdoorsy holiday. Here’s some information about Sukkot, from a previous post:

Sukkot (also called Sukkos, Succos, or Succot) is called Tabernacles in English. It is one of the three Jewish harvest festival holidays, and we commemorate the Jews’ temporary existence (and temporary dwellings), while wandering in the Sinai desert [and subject to the will of G-d and the weather conditions imposed by Him].

Various Versions of Sukkahs/Sukkot

To do so, Jews build temporary huts (called “Sukkot” for plural) outside their homes. They decorate the Sukkah (singular of the word) and eat all meals there during the holiday. (My father used to sleep in it, too.) It is very fun for kids because they help decorate the sukkah, and also visit other Sukkot in the neighborhood, eating candy and other treats there, sort of like on Halloween (but no tricks or treats, and it’s way more spiritual). My late father used to make his special drink for visiting kids, Vernor’s Ginger Ale, mixed with powdered Nestle’s quick and a generous splash of Rich’s Coffee Rich (sometimes he substituted Faygo Rock & Rye soda (we call it “pop” in Michigan) for the ginger ale). Sorry for being late with my movie reviews, but I wasn’t feeling well on Friday, when I write and usually post them, so I didn’t finish them in time to post before the Jewish Sabbath. I didn’t particularly like any of the new movies at theaters, this weekend.

* “Looper“: While the movie had an interesting premise, the product is nasty and sick. This is science fiction at its worst, filled with killing porn, and then it gives us a sappy, unbelievable “evil children can change so don’t kill ’em” ending that doesn’t make up for everything that came before . . . and actually makes it worse. I found this movie very cold and unfeeling, and at points, it’s even grotesquely disgusting with dismemberment. Only very warped minds would dream some of this up–warped minds that should long ago have been institutionalized. Sadly, instead, they populate Hollywood’s movie biz. No one in this movie is likeable, and I wanted them all to die instantly, so I wouldn’t have to sit through two hours of twisted cinema. But the makers of this film expect you to like and root for a man who murders people in cold blood for a living.

Excuse me if I didn’t fall for the ruse. Excuse me also if I didn’t fall for the usual lame Tinseltown insertion of an overly smart, saccharin sweet kid and wasn’t, like a typical liberal, pulling for him to be given the chance to grow up to become an evil mobster, instead of being snuffed out, as he should have been, like so many HAMAS kid terrorists in development, who are already throwing rocks and Molotov cocktails when they are seven or eight. Figures that the one person (other than the loopers) that should have been removed from this earth (in this movie) isn’t because liberals tell is we need to give them a chance to change, despite all we know about how they will turn out.

The movie begins with a sort of “film noir” vibe to it, but quickly degrades into bloody, violent garbage. Read the rest of this entry »

Yesterday, I received the unsolicited e-mail, below, from Kristine Lofquist, an openly anti-Semitic employee of the Chicago-area Sheet Metal Workers’ International Association Local Union No.73 Pension Welfare and Annuity Funds. Ms. Lofquist, a pension manager, told me that I and other Jews should go to Israel. “We don’t want you here!!” I was also told that we are the cause of Muslim savagery around the world. And all of this was done using the Union and its pension fund’s resources, e-mail, etc. I complained to Ms. Lofquist’s boss, Joseph F. Ohm, the fund administrator. Unfortunately, he refused to terminate Ms. Lofquist and would only tell me that she has been “dealt with appropriately.” She is still employed by the organization and was in the office working, today. Since she’s a pension manager, does she have anything to do with not investing in companies that do business with Israel? Count on it. Is she hesitant to invest in companies founded and or headed by Jews? Count on that, too.

Imagine if a person from this union and/or its pension fund sent an e-mail to a Black person and told them in a run-on sentence, “Please go to Africa we don’t want you here!!” Certainly, the writer of such a sentiment would be fired. But not when it’s clearly against a Jew. She calls us “right wing pro Israel nuts.” But we know what she means: JOOOOOS. Many readers have sent me links to Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin “Bibi” Netanyahu’s speech, today, at the United Nations–all of them with approving “hurrahs” and “attaboys.” But, per usual, Netanyahu talks a good game, then goes back to Israel and does nothing but kick more Jews out of their homes in “settlements.” Talk is cheap. And Netanyahu typically speaks loudly and carries a soggy matzoh ball (instead of the proverbial big stick). He has never and will never do anything on Iran, with or without U.S. help (which was nowhere to be seen under eight years of Bush, not just four years of Obama). While it is true that fewer Israelis were murdered under Netanyahu than under other capitulator Israeli Prime Ministers, he’s not exactly the far right-wing Jewish militant he’s made out to be. He’s a compromiser extraordinaire and toward the center-left side of the center-right Likud Coalition. That said, look, below, at what FOX News chose as its photo for the story on the Netanyahu speech. That’s right–a dictatorial Hitler salute.

Yet, Matt Drudge and most of the right-wing echo chamber online are only faulting AP and Reuters for the use of this same, exact photo. Um, what about FOX News a/k/a PAWNN (the Prince Al-Waleed News Network)? Does it always get a free pass from real journalism because it pretends to be “conservative?” Only hypocrites have that attitude. A creepy-looking model/actor, named Arash Durrani, disrupted a flight from Chicago to California’s Orange County and had to be held down for three-hours by SEVEN male passengers. Oh, and did I mention that Arash Durrani is usually a Pakistani name and that almost all Pakis are Muslim? Well, none of the news stories did. So, I have to. But don’t worry, they are already working the “he was drunk” angle, as if Muslims never drink to hide their real plans. Yup, Mohammed Atta and the other 9/11 hijackers nevah evah took a sip of “the infidel juice” while they were ogling and sleeping with strippers and prostitutes (same difference) at “The Pink Pony” and while in Vegas, right?

Here’s a tip: he wouldn’t be the first “model/actor” Muslim involved in a sinister plot. Durrani’s Internet Movie Database bio (which, it appears, he wrote) says he was born in Virginia, went to a fancy prep school, and interned at the U.S. Court of Appeals. So what? Look at the history of some of our other homegrown Islamic terrorists, such as Nidal Malik Hasan. I’d love to know who this guy’s parents are and what they taught their son. Or how many trips any of them has taken back to Pakistan. Below is one of several cheesy bikini videos he directed (none of which has had a lot of viewers).

Several people on board a United Airlines flight from Chicago to Orange County had to restrain an unruly man who was reportedly threatening fellow passengers, the FBI said.
