One of the biggest stunts teens and 20-somethings are doing these days is trying to swallow a spoon full of cinnamon a/k/a “The Cinnamon Challenge.” Finally something less malignant than the usual stunts involving the disgusting, the dangerous, the illegal, or all three. This is actually pretty funny. And remember, there are significant health benefits to cinnamon, as discovered by Israeli scientists.
As you probably know, Don Cornelius, host and producer of TV’s “Soul Train” for decades, died today of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. I have to laugh as I read the tributes to Cornelius from the rappers and the rest of the hip-hop crowd. That’s because, while he was considered by many to be the father of “urban culture” and is credited with making it mainstream in America, Don Cornelius had mixed views on rap. In fact, he was one of the driving forces behind what became a ratings system for records and felt that even this did not go far enough. And, yes, he became a Republican. I know–it doesn’t fit with the Al Sharptons and other bandwagon-jumping shakedown artists and race merchants of the urban world.
And it’s a fact that Don Cornelius was the ultimate American capitalism success story. When he died, it was in a stately mansion. He was an entrepreneur who created, produced, and hosted a successful product. And he became very wealthy from it, without government subsidies or affirmative action preferences. If his success wasn’t the epitome of the free enterprise system, I don’t know what is. When I was a kid, and I saw that show come on in re-runs after I got home from school, I quickly turned the channel. Some of the dancing on that show was really ridiculous, not to mention, slutty and way-too-suggestive. Today, it would be tame, and that’s partially because he bears some responsibility for bringing this negative aspect forth to dominate American pop culture. But I wasn’t the target audience, and he gave a lot of terrific, talented Black artists, like Whitney Houston and “The Jackson Five,” great exposure which helped launch their careers. We’re constantly told a myth that American Muslims are more moderate and different from their jihadist co-religionists around the world. And, yet, we’re constantly surrounded by proof otherwise. The latest is this gem of an American citizen, Ali Abdullal Mayberry, of Texas. Strangely, even though he’s admitted recruiting for a terrorist cell, he’s not been charged with anything related to that. Why not? $50,000 bail is VERY low and makes it easy for this guy to obtain freedom.
Ali Abdullal Mayberry: Texas Muslim Robbed Cab Driver After Trying to Recruit Him for Terrorist Cell
A man accused of robbing a taxi driver at gunpoint, then fleeing from another cab stopped for a traffic violation, said he was trying to recruit the second driver into his terror cell, police said.
Ali Abdullal Mayberry, 29, was taken into custody late Wednesday and is being held at Bexar County Jail on one count of aggravated robbery. A judge set bail at $50,000. Read the rest of this entry »
For more than a decade and well before 9/11, I’ve written about the many moronic women who seek relationships with Muslims, then are shocked–shocked!–when they are abused, regarded as mere sex slaves or additional-wife material (when there are already several other wives), and/or lose custody of their children. Anyone who claims not to know that this is the fate of the idiotettes who copulate with Muslims is a complete fool and simply not living in the real world. And so it is that I have mixed feelings about Candice Cohen-Ahnine, the stupid Jewish woman who started a sexual affair with a Saudi Muslim prince, calling it an “interfaith relationship.” Um, more like “intercourse relationship,” and blind faith and stupidity on her part.
It’s always good to see an “evil Zionist” beat a Muslim–no less a Saudi Prince–in court and to see her get custody of her child with this beast, likely raising the child as a Jew (since the child is Jewish under Jewish law). But good luck getting the kid back and out of Saudi hands. Also, I am sure that this idiotowitz, Ms. Cohen-Ahnine, if she actually gets the kid back, will probably raise her kid to be just as stupid and foolish as she was. Did she really expect that this Al-Prince-Not-So-Charming was going to marry her–and her alone–and that they would live happily ever after in some warped “interfaith” fantasy? Only a complete imbecile would come to that conclusion. She’s one of the many bims I call, “interfaith copulationists.” There ain’t no “interfaith” involved. And what kind of Jew visits Saudi Arabia with her kid, expecting to have the kid leave with her? Only one passed over by the Jewish smart gene. That’s for sure.
A French Jewish mother has won a custody battle in France against a Saudi prince, who has been ordered to return their 10-year old daughter he was alleged to have kidnapped after their cross-religious romance turned sour. Read the rest of this entry »
Leave it to the New York Times in pioneering the art of fabricated feminist grievance. Now, the Times has identified a new marketplace which isn’t “fair” to women: the world of voice-overs in movie trailers. I don’t know about you, but like most women, I trust a man’s voice more. And the marketplace–both men AND women–agrees with me. But the NYT sees some sort of sexist civil rights crime, where the rest of us see, “that’s life–deal with it.”
In the sanctuary of cinema the voice of a sonorous, authoritative, fear-inspiring yet sometimes relatable presence is, invariably, that of a man. Consider the trailer and the omniscient, disembodied voice that introduces moviegoers to a fictional world.
“Most movie trailers are loud and strong, and film studios want that male impact, vocally and thematically,” said Jeff Danis, an agent who represents voice-over artists. “Even if it’s a romantic comedy or nonaction movie, they still want that certain power and drama that men’s voices tend to convey on a grander scale.” . . . Women are seldom cast. Read the rest of this entry »
A new show, “Key & Peele,” debuted tonight on Comedy Central. These two Black comedians (well, to be exact, they are biracial with White moms and Black dads), Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, are pretty funny from what I’ve seen. Here are just a couple of clips. Their sketches of Obama and his “anger translator,” Luther, aren’t that funny and are kinda anti-conservative. (So, what else is new?) But their other stuff is good.
An adopted teenager was set to appear in court today after police found the bodies of his parents, two highly-educated civil servants, stashed under a blanket inside the family car. Read the rest of this entry »
I’ve written many times before on this site about the many Muslim nations that dominate the slave-trafficking and sex-slave trade. Usually it involves the Gulf states, where not only are Asian women enslaved, but young Nepalese, Sri Lankan, and Bangladeshi boys are used as camel jockeys and sex slaves. Lila Aacharya, seeking to earn better wages and help her Nepalese family live a little better, made the mistake of going to Lebanon to be a maid.
Watch this video, which shows what happens to people who make the mistake of traveling to Muslim countries looking for work. There is one thing missing from this report, as with all of them: the words, “Muslim” and “Islam.” No surprise there.
Lila Aacharya left Nepal hoping to make a better life for her two young daughters. Two months later her body was flown home. Lila’s case exposes the toll of human trafficking – from her attempt to escape the poverty of her village in the Himalayan foothills to her exploitation and death as a domestic worker in an upmarket apartment in Beirut. Even though it’s old news that most of the major news media outlets are biased towards liberals and that they lie and distort, I was a fan of ABC News reporter Dan Harris’ reports because he seemed balanced and many of his stories are non-political and interesting. But that stopped last night when I watched his report about a major news story here in Detroit. His coverage of the murder of a wife and mother in a Detroit suburb showed me that he will blatantly lie to make something more dramatic and shamelessly skew a story to fit his false liberal narrative, regardless of facts that point elsewhere.
ABC News Reporter Dan Harris Blatantly Lies to Fit His Liberal Narrative
Last week, a woman named Jane Bashara was found strangled to death with broken fingernails in her Mercedes SUV in an abandoned alley of a bad Detroit neighborhood (yeah, I know “bad Detroit neighborhood” is a redundant phrase–they’re all bad). Her husband, Bob Bashara, from a prominent Christian Arab family (many people of Lebanese Christian heritage live in the Pointes suburbs of Detroit), is the suspect, and it’s now turned out he lied to police, had a girlfriend on the side, and failed the polygraph exam he voluntarily took. But that’s not the issue. The issue is that Dan Harris’ report keeps talking about Grosse Pointe, Michigan, shows palatial mansions, and talks about how auto magnates of old built their homes there. That’s misleading. The Basharas live NOT in extremely wealthy Grosse Pointe but in neighboring, average Grosse Pointe Park, which does not have any of the mansions he showed, and is simply a middle class suburb with fairly modest homes and some hipster-wannabes. Any decent reporter would not deliberately confuse the two to sensationalize the story and make it seem to be a murder among the rich and famous. But Dan Harris is clearly not a decent reporter. He’s a liar. And he and his ABC News fabricators called the story “Murder in Grosse Pointe.” Again, the murder was in Grosse Pointe Park. It’s like me calling a murder in South Central L.A., “Murder in Beverly Hills 90210.” The video is below.
And Harris did all of this to make his liberal eat-the-rich/occupy Wall Street narrative stick, when that simply doesn’t fit here. Listen to the beginning of the story as the Nightline anchor introduces it by saying there is a debate as to who committed the murder, outsiders (meaning “the evil rich White people are accusing poor Black people from Detroit of the murder,” as ABC wants to frame this) or insiders (meaning “the evil rich White people”). But there are no “rich White people” in the story. It’s a middle class to upper-middle class neighborhood. And there’s no debate here in Detroit regarding who did it, nor has there ever been. In fact, Mr. Bashara, the hubby, was publicly under suspicion from day one. The only debate was, “Do you think he did it?” And now everyone thinks he did. Nobody ever said, “Blame the Black people!” Read the rest of this entry »
Mazel Tov: Israel’s Arava Trains HAMAS Palestinians to Compete Against Israeli Farmers
Frankly, the Israelis are NOT acting like they are at war. Instead, they are enabling the enemy to compete with Israelis who are under attack every single day. It’s nauseating how Israel continues to pander to these people, despite the fact that these people hate Israel and love HAMAS and the additional fact that the international community will still hate Israel and the Jews no matter what. Now, these HAMASniks (Fatah is merging with HAMAS) will have these secret techniques.
Oh, and by the way, if you are one of those naive donors to Jewish National Fund, this is what you are funding! The same JNF, which refuses to do anything beyond the green line for Jews, spends money teaching Palestinian terrorism supporters how to compete against Jews on the market. My paternal grandparents were JNF national officers and have a forest in Israel named after them. They are turning over in their graves right now. (I’ve already told you about how JNF–and Shaarey Zedek Hospital–honored a Detroit-area HAMAS supporter who gives legal advice to drug gangs headed by Yemeni Muslims.)
A West Bank agricultural development team is hoping to form a partnership with Central and Northern Arava Research and Development by sending Palestinian agricultural students to learn desert farming techniques from Israeli experts. Read the rest of this entry »
