I still like most of these shows (even though I don’t have cable, I’ve seen them all), but this video on the “transformation” of The History Channel is funny and spot on. There is no history left on The History Channel. No offense to Dan Whitney a/k/a “Larry the Cable Guy,” who is a reader and friend of this site and who is very smart (and expounded for hours on various news topics  during several hours of hanging out with him and his family on the Git’R’Done Tour Bus). I like his show a lot and–full disclosure–gave him some ideas for the show before it began taping. However, the programming on The History Channel is Americana, not American History.

O.J. Simpson is having a half-chuckle with his new boyfriend somewhere in prison.  Because of a verdict today by twelve brainless soulmates of his jurors, his White counterpart with a vagina is gonna walk free.

O.J. had gloves that “didn’t fit” (or so he pretended), and she had a wet t-shirt and tattoos that fit all too well, along with choroform searches, a smell-of-death car trunk, etc. And, don’t worry, we won’t hear her telling us about her quest to “find the real killers,” as O.J. used to do with a wink and a nod on golf courses across America. But maybe she can get gigs as a stripper. Watch Casey’s KILLER body straddle the pole, headlining at the DollHouse.

As you’ll note, I’ve never before written about the Casey Anthony trial on this site.  The national fascination with it sickens me.  A trashy, slutty mother murdering her kid isn’t a new or remarkable thing.  It’s happened before.  It’ll happen again.  The only thing remarkable here is the moronic jury that acquitted this uber-skank of murder.  To me, it was sickening that, yesterday, instead of celebrating our nation’s 235th birthday, this jury of anti-Einsteins chose to keep hearing the case.  That told me enough about which way they were headed. This was a jury not concerned with morals, with decorum, with rules. They were only concerned with themselves and wanting to get finished with the case. Hey, just like Casey Anthony. That’s what liberals–and morons–do. Here were my tweets from Twitter (follow me on Twitter), yesterday on the matter. The second one was a “Top Tweet” on Twitter.

It was even more sickening that I could not get away from this trial, and I don’t even have cable.  It was in my newspaper, on broadcast TV, at the gym on cable, on the radio.  Wow, America is a sad country, that this is the most important thing in your lives, people.  And by people, I don’t mean those who read this site.  You have a higher than average IQ.  Sadly, America sets the bar low on even that, these days.   As I was at the gym, yesterday, I saw FOX News spend hours and hours on the trial, and very little on covering America’s Independence.  So much for you dummies out there who actually thing FOX News is a “conservative” news channel.  Puh-leeze.  It’s  a salacious tabloid network.  And the National Enquirer could do it better.  Does do it better. Some of us spent yesterday’s Independence Day celebrating with hot dogs and fireworks.  Others remembered the Founding Fathers who declared our independence from Britain and the U.S. soldiers, today, who keep us free.  But not syndicated tabloid TV show, “Inside Edition.”  Instead, reporter babe Diane McInerney pimped us on the idea that women should be allowed into the Navy SEALs, an idea feminists–and this vapid TV show–have been pushing loudly since Navy SEAL Team Six took out Osama Bin Laden in May.  The story first appeared then, and it was re-run, yesterday, in some perverted Independence Day statement . . . or something.

Keep Women Out of the Navy SEALS!

The silly “Inside Edition” video–of McInerney at a Navy SEAL fantasy camp trying to prove to us that women should be in the SEALs–was a joke.  It’s laughable.  Having arms like Michelle Obama doesn’t mean you can cut it as a Navy SEAL.  I wish I could post it, but sadly, “Inside Edition” doesn’t make the video available. Here’s an excerpt from the transcript:

G-d* Bless, America.  And Happy Independence Day.

After 235 years, this great country–a nation among nations–is still here.  But as we celebrate with fireworks and hot dogs, if we’re not careful we will lose our country.  In many ways, we are, sadly, well on our way there.  Today’s Fourth of July celebration marks 235 years of freedom and independence from tyranny and the rule of a monarchy. But it also marks decades of letting those who want to take this all away from us, particularly Muslims, impose their wills on our laws, our culture, and our general lifestyle. We cannot allow this to stand or we will fall.  It’s that serious.

Unfortunately, most Americans are too busy and obsessed with less important things–far less important things–to notice.  Yes, that’s one of the things that comes with freedom–the freedom to be idiots and ignoramus, to stick your head in the sand and look the other way.

It’s our hope for an endless, infinite number of repeats and an endless supply of freedom and liberty on American soil.  But the more we keep kissing the rears of those who would destroy us (you know, from a certain “Religion of Peace”), the less likely that will be.  The more we make things easier for foreign invaders to come through our borders and use our laws and courts to stay here and impose their way of life upon us, the less likely that will be.  The more we promote morons and attack those of true achievement, the less likely that will be. On America’s Independence Day, let’s not forget another important anniversary for Western Civilization vs. jihadists takes place on July 4, 2011–the 35th anniversary of Operation Entebbe a/k/a Operation Thunderbolt a/k/a Operation Jonathan. It’s an operation that hearkens back to a time, just a few decades ago when Israel was fearless and great.

On July 4, 1976, we celebrated a great milestone in American history, the Bicentennial–200 years of American survival and triumph.  My parents took me and my sisters to Greenfield Village and Henry Ford Museum  in Dearbornistan, Michigan, to watch a Bicentennial parade.  As proud Americans, we joyously partook in America’s monumental celebration.  I asked my dad if I would be around for the Tricentennial, and he said, “Maybe . . . if you live to be 107 years old.”  But there was a cherry on top, that day, which I will always remember, even though I was just seven years old at the time:  the heroic, successful Israeli Army rescue of passengers that  hijackers working for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist group (and Germany’s Baader-Meinhoff Gang/Red Army) had taken hostage to Uganda. No big whoop at the box office this weekend:

* “ Transformers:  Dark of the Moon“:  Messy, cockamamie story but with great special effects in the last scenes.  Way too long and too much overt sexuality and four-letter words for kids.  Read my complete review.

HALF A REAGAN

* “Larry Crowne“:  This is a lame chick flick.  And the chick is Tom Hanks.  The guy–the miserable, overly assertive figure–is Julia Roberts.  Clearly, she doesn’t have to act, as this is her personality in real life.  (She once said, “Republican falls between Reptile and Repugnant in the dictionary.”  And whaddya know, Roberts is in the dictionary between Roach and Rodent. . . and Rotten.)  And who wants to pay ten bucks to see it?  Not me.  The movie was supposed to be a comedy, but I barely laughed . . . at all.  It was like a bad romantic comedy from the ‘8os, with apologies to the ’80s.  This flick ripped off some elements of the far superior ’80s movie, “Summer School,” starring Kirstey Alley and Mark Harmon.  And it added the dark, anti-corporate specter to the mix.  Four words I saw at the beginning warned me this was a full-blown IED:  “Written by Nia Vardalos.”  (It’s co-written by Tom Hanks, but Vardalos’ movies are just awful.) From time to time, I mention stuff I like on this site.  I’ve reviewed more than one cool, modern bean bag chair/couch from the Sumo Lounge–maker of high-styled bean bags, and I love them all.  I think this new one, the Sumo Titan, is my favorite, in addition to the Sumo Sultan and Gigantor (read my review) bean bags.  I am not getting paid for this honest review, but I did get a free Titan to try it out over the last couple of months.  And I love it.  It’s chic and comfy and a great addition to a mancave, a kid’s room, a family room, or a college dorm.

The Sumo Titan is a rectangular shaped bean bag that is filled with shredded furniture grade urethane foam and polyester fiber, which never decompresses or loses its shape (it’s only compressed for shipping and regains its actual size within 24 hours).  The bean bag never goes flat, and I’ve put it through the road test to make sure, as I have with other Sumo Lounge products.  I slept on it, read on it, relaxed and watched TV, typed on a laptop, and watched DVDs.  As I’ve noted in previous reviews, readers who’ve bought Sumo chairs on my recommendation say they and/or their wives love them.  And for good reason.  They are not just relaxing and comfortable, but also cool-looking and kitchy.  They come with an easily washable microsuede or corduroy cover that removes easily with the use of its zipper.  It comes in several colors. The rape allegations made by a devout Muslim immigrant against former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn a/k/a “DSK” are unraveling for EXACTLY the reason I cited when I originally wrote about this woman . . . and then got attacked by liberals for doing so.  I questioned whether the woman really deserved or needed asylum and noted that like many others seeking asylum in Immigration Court, she probably lied.  And guess what?  I was right.  She lied about rape before and made up claims she was subject to female genital mutilation. Not only that, but she’s involved in Muslim money laundering and drug dealing. Sooooo par for the halal course.  This “poor, hard-working maid” we were supposed to feel sorry for is a con-artist who laundered $100,000 through her bank accounts for her drug dealer lover. I told you back when this case was headline news that things were not as they seemed. And that was the understatement of the year. I also questioned why the alleged victim had HIV or AIDS if she was so “modest” (she lives in federal housing for the HIV and AIDS afflicted). I now believe she probably got it from her drug dealer lover or some other fellow low-life she slept with.

I’ve been a frequent critic of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), but now, I have to defend it against a scurrilous lie perpetrated by most in the echo chamber that is the right-wing blogosphere:  that Obama and ICE put Israel on a terrorist list as a country that promotes terrorism.  Never happened.  It’s a complete lie.  And this isn’t just a case of “crying wolf,” it’s far worse because it’s an attack on important national security measures that ICE took against Arab Muslims from Israel who come here to perpetrate Islamic terrorism.

Conservative Blogosphere Needs to Stop Lying About Israel & ICE Terrorist Screening List

The falsehood is among several  stories that are total lies are making the rounds, and predictably the group-think sheeple on the right buy into the falsehoods, without a second of critical thinking and analysis.  Another is the WorldNutDaily fabrication, claiming that Delta agreed to Saudi rules and refuses to fly Jews.  Totally false.  Delta doesn’t even fly there.  More about that in another post.  Back to the latest is the story claiming that Obama’s ICE put Israel on a list of “countries promoting terrorism.”  Absolute bunk.  Not true.

The story, by the incompetent, often-fabricating Conservative News Service (which also published as fact, with zero evidence, Sean Hannity’s claim he paid for the private planes for his Freedom Concerts, when he did not and couldn’t produce any proof).  This BS story about Obama adding Israel to this alleged terrorist list was regurgitated by frequent fabricator Scamela Geller, the car loan fraud scamming multi-millionairess who used Muslim straw buyers in her scheme and whose one honest employee (who was talking to police) was suddenly murdered.  Not only is the story about Israel on a terrorist list complete baloney, but BS stories like this are hurting the scant few efforts the Obamaniks are actually making to screen Islamic terrorists.  Clearly  neither of these parties–nor Glenn Beck’s “The Blaze” and NewsMax, both of which joined car loan defrauder Geller in repeating the false story–know how to read.

Here’s the real story: ICE detains illegal aliens and deports them through its Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) division.  ICE has a terrorist database it uses to screen aliens it arrests , known as the Terrorist Watchlist screening.  Again, these are used on aliens who are non-detained (arrested, but not jailed–they are later release, thus “non-detained”).  But detained aliens from Specially Designated Countries, mostly Muslim countries–and now, Israel–are screened through an additional list–the Third Agency Check (TAC).  (In Fiscal Year 2009, there were only 1,521 such aliens detained–that means, arrested and jailed inside the U.S.–who were screened against this third list.)  Again, this extra screening is not applied to any people from these countries when they enter the U.S. legally.  It’s only applied to aliens that ICE agents arrest and keep in jail (detention), which is a paltry number–again, in 2009, only 1,521.

The list of the Specially Designated Countries (SDCs)  appeared in a recently released report from the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of the Inspector General, entitled “Supervision of Aliens Commensurate with Risk.” And while it’s true that the report describes the countries on the list–most of which are Muslim nations–as countries “that have shown a tendency to promote, produce, or protect terrorist organizations or their members,” that’s not why Israel is on the list.  It’s on the list because of the large number of Israeli Arabs who have Israeli citizenship and passports, but who identify with the Palestinians and support and/or are part of Islamic terrorist groups.  Should we not have extra screening for those people merely because they have Israeli documents?  Only if you’re a moron. . . or a jihadist.

It’s not like the government can write on the document, we will screen only Israeli Arabs and Muslim detained aliens and not Jews.  That would result in a million ACLU and CAIR Action Network lawsuits.  But how many Jews from Israel do you think enter the U.S. illegally and are arrested and detained by ICE agents?  ICE only “detains”–that is, arrests and long-term jails–dangerous aliens who have criminal records with violent crimes and/or terrorism. Incredible but true. The FBI worked with the crazy, inbred, anti-Semitic, anti-gay, anti-American Westboro Baptist Church cult in order to train to engage community activists. . . or something.  How completely, totally insane is this? On the other hand, it’s right in line with the FBI’s Islamo-pandering to the equally hateful, extremist Muslim community.

The F.B.I. said that members of an anti-gay church took part in training of police officers and agents, a move the F.B.I. says it will take steps to remedy. The church, Westboro Baptist of Topeka, Kan., contends God is punishing the military for tolerance of homosexuality and has protested at military funerals. An F.B.I. spokesman said the group was invited “to establish open dialogue in an academic setting to train law enforcement on how to more effectively engage with the activist community.”

Now you know why I call ’em, Famous But Incompetent. The name fits.
